Ocean circulation in the Yellow and East China Seas is very rich in mesoscale phenomena, such as eddies, fronts, upwellings, river plumes, etc. Among others, having drawn tremendous attention from oceanographic community in the past for nearly 50 years are mainly the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass (YSCWM) and its related circulation, the Yellow Sea Warm Current (YSWC), the East China Sea     

Influence of the Choice of Core-Envelope Transition Point on the Binary Merger of Two Main-sequence Components

We have studied the influence of different choices of core-envelope transition point on the final merger of contact binaries with two main-sequence components. A binary of 1.00 + 0.90M⊙ with an initial orbital period of 0.35d is examined. The mass fraction of the primary mixed with the matter of the secondary, qmix, determined by the chosen core-envelope transition point, ranges from 0.04 to 1.00 in our analysis. 前寒武纪后生动物遗迹化石的重要发现

1988年,笔者在河南西部鲁山县进行野外地质考察时,首先在前寒武系崔庄组中发现了后生动物遗迹化石。此后,又在汝阳、临汝、宜阳等地前寒武系云梦山组、白草坪组、北大尖组、崔庄组、三教堂组发现了大量的后生动物遗迹化石。些遗迹化石大部分为平行层面的潜穴(现均已被纯的石英沙充填),多为生物觅食、啮食、运动等造成。造迹生物很可能以蠕虫类为主。遗迹形态复杂,个体较大,表面多光滑无饰,有些具非常发育的横向环节,有些具明显的纵纹。与遗迹化石伴生最多的沉积构造为浪成波痕。     

美国“鲨鱼”隐身快艇

最近美国洛克希德-马丁公司公开了正在研制的“鲨鱼”隐身高速快艇的独特设计——造型奇特．双体船型，隐身设计．折叠结构．强大武备．多种用途。“鳖鱼”隐身高速快艇在外形和武器配备等方面借鉴了武装直升机和快艇的一些特点．被称为是武装直升机与快艇的“混血儿”。该设计可以称得上是应用高新科技成果进行舰艇跨越式创新发展的典范，在舰艇界引起很大的反响。     

Geochemical survey of thermal system in Northeast China and their geothermometric characters

The chemical composition of several thermal springs around Changbaishan area has been investigated. Cenozoic basaltic rocks are widely distributed in Northeast China and geothermal characteristics have been described. About one hundred hot springs exist around Changhaishan Volcano at the border between China and D.P.R.Korea with high temperature about 82~C. The pH values of the spring water range from 6.9 to 7.1 and the total flow rate is about 4.8 L/sec. The chemical composition of the thermal springs is sodium carbonate; the high-mineral contents of thermal water are believed to have medicinal properties. Bathhouses are already built along the hot springs to take the advantage of the supposed healing properties. The high quality of those hot springs is believed to be utilitized for mineral water. The chemical equilibrium temperatures were estimated at about 160℃ based on the Na-K-Ca geochemical thermometer.     

Size-Flux Relation in Solar Active Regions

We present a study of the relationship between integral area and corresponding total magnetic flux for solar active regions. It is shown that some of these relationships are satisfied to simple power laws. Fractal examination showed that some of these power laws can not be justified inside the simple models of stationary magnetic flux tube aggregation. All magnetic fluxes and corresponding areas were calculated using the data measured with the Solar Magnetic Field Telescope of the Huairou Solar Observing Station in Beijing.

不同景观条件下机械剥蚀与化学剥蚀间之比

机械剥蚀和化学剥蚀的数量是地形形成变化的主要指标,早在上一世纪末就已开始对其进行定量评定。通常,评定剥蚀的基础是离子径流和悬移泥沙径流。当认为这种方法是最客观和最精确时,还必须指出其极大局限性,这种局限性首先是由于机械剥蚀物和化学剥蚀物的形成与搬运的不同机制的缘故。     

交调干扰引起的可能被认为是射电爆发的假象

本强调动态范围是太阳射电望远镜的关键指标，以海淀区青少年科技馆的２１ｃｍ射电望远镜，１９９１年５月１６日及６月１５日的强太阳射电爆发观测资料的频谱和噪声分析结果为例，讨论了其重要性。
