A new analysis of the Doppler tracking data from the Lunar Prospector mission in 1999 revealed a number of previously-unseen gravity anomalies at spatial scales as small as 27 km over the nearside. The tracking data at low altitudes (50 km or below) were better analyzed to resolve the nearside features without dampening from a power law constraint, by partitioning the gravity parameters concentrated on either the nearside or farside. The resulting model presents gravity anomalies correlated with topography with a correlation coefficient of 0.7 or higher from degree 50 to 150, the widest bandwidth yet. The gravity-topography admittance of ∼70 mGal/km is found from numerous craters of which diameters are 60 km or less. In addition, the new model produces orbits that fit to independent radio tracking data from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and Kaguya (SELENE) better than previous gravity models. This high-resolution model can be of immediate use to geophysical analysis of small craters. Our technique could be applied to an upcoming mission, the Gravity Recovery And Interior Laboratory and useful to extract short wavelength signals from the MESSENGER Doppler data.  相似文献

A lunar gravity field model up to degree and order 100 in spherical harmonics, named SGM100i, has been determined from SELENE and historical tracking data, with an emphasis on using same-beam S-band differential VLBI data obtained in the SELENE mission between January 2008 and February 2009. Orbit consistency throughout the entire mission period of SELENE as determined from orbit overlaps for the two sub-satellites of SELENE involved in the VLBI tracking improved consistently from several hundreds of metres to several tens of metres by including differential VLBI data. Through orbits that are better determined, the gravity field model is also improved by including these data. Orbit determination performance for the new model shows improvements over earlier 100th degree and order models, especially for edge-on orbits over the deep far side. Lunar Prospector orbit determination shows an improvement of orbit consistency from 1-day predictions for 2-day arcs of 6 m in a total sense, with most improvement in the along and cross-track directions. Data fit for the types and satellites involved is also improved. Formal errors for the lower degrees are smaller, and the new model also shows increased correlations with topography over the far side. The estimated value for the lunar GM for this model equals 4902.80080±0.0009 km3/s2 (10 sigma). The lunar degree 2 potential Love number k 2 was also estimated, and has a value of 0.0255 ± 0.0016 (10 sigma as well).  相似文献

Surface mass redistribution within the Earth system, especially in the atmosphere, oceans, continents and ice sheets, causes the position of the centre of mass to vary in a reference frame attached to the solid Earth. Space techniques are now precise enough to measure the centre of mass motion. Here we present a determination of the centre of mass coordinates at regular monthly intervals using DORIS data on SPOT‐2, SPOT‐3 and Topex–Poseidon (1993–1997) and laser data on Lageos‐1 and Lageos‐2 (1993–1996). The amplitude and phase of the space‐geodesy‐derived annual cycle for each coordinate are further compared to estimates based on surface mass redistribution at the Earth surface derived from various climatic data sources: surface pressure, soil moisture, snow depth and ocean mass variations.  相似文献

Orbit determination of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter   总被引:3,自引:1,他引:2
We present the results on precision orbit determination from the radio science investigation of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) spacecraft. We describe the data, modeling and methods used to achieve position knowledge several times better than the required 50–100 m (in total position), over the period from 13 July 2009 to 31 January 2011. In addition to the near-continuous radiometric tracking data, we include altimetric data from the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) in the form of crossover measurements, and show that they strongly improve the accuracy of the orbit reconstruction (total position overlap differences decrease from ~70 m to ~23 m). To refine the spacecraft trajectory further, we develop a lunar gravity field by combining the newly acquired LRO data with the historical data. The reprocessing of the spacecraft trajectory with that model shows significantly increased accuracy (~20 m with only the radiometric data, and ~14 m with the addition of the altimetric crossovers). LOLA topographic maps and calibration data from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera were used to supplement the results of the overlap analysis and demonstrate the trajectory accuracy.  相似文献

Preliminary investigations of the geothermal energy potential in Sweden are being carried out in crystalline rocks of Precambrian age, as well as in the Triassic Buntsandstone. The geothermal potential of fracture zones is also being investigated. Different methods for prospecting have been tried and compared.  相似文献

Different types of jurassic and cretaceous submarine breccias, deposited on the internal part of the Briançonnais shoal, and on the external part of the Piemont trough, are described, especially breccias of the Acceglio zone, which show a cement looking like a “sedimentary micaschist”. Genetic problems are discussed: rock breaking and disintegration, and transportation of rock fragments.  相似文献

The DORIS Doppler measurements collected by Jason-1 are abnormally perturbed by the influence of the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA). The DORIS ultra-stable oscillators on-board Jason-1 are not as stable as they should be; their frequency is sensitive both to the irradiation rate and to the total irradiation encountered in orbit. The consequence is that not only are the DORIS measurement residuals higher than they ought to be, but also large systematic positioning errors are introduced for stations located in the vicinity of the SAA. In this paper, we present a method that has been devised to obtain a continuous observation of Jason-1 frequency offsets. This method relies on the precise determination of the station frequency and troposphere parameters via the use of other DORIS satellites. More than 3 years of these observations have then been used to construct a model of response of the oscillators of Jason-1 to the SAA. The sensitivity of the Jason-1 oscillators to the SAA perturbations has evolved over time, multiplied by a factor of four between launch and mid-2004. The corrective performances of the model are discussed in terms of DORIS measurement residuals, precise orbit determination and station positioning. The average DORIS measurement residuals are decreased by more than 7 % using this model. In terms of precise orbit determination, the 3D DORIS-only orbit error decreases from 5 to 4.2 cm, but the DORIS+SLR orbit error is almost unaffected, due to the already good quality of this type of orbit. In terms of station positioning, the model brings down the average 3D mono-satellite monthly network solution discrepancy with the International Terrestrial Reference Frame ITRF2000 from 11.3 to 6.1 cm, and also decreases the scatter about that average from 11.3 to 3.7 cm. The conclusion is that, with this model, it is possible to re-incorporate Jason-1 in the multi-satellite geodetic solutions for the DORIS station network.  相似文献
