Low noise photoelectric measurements of the line profile of the g = 0 Fe line gl 5576.097 combined with determinations of the wavelength shift of its centre calibrated by use of an I 2 absorption tube are reported. Measurements taken at various limb distances (1.0 cos 0.2) and along 4 different diameters of the Sun are used to investigate the behaviour of the line asymmetry (C-shape) and wavelength shift of the line centre as functions of cos and of latitude and to search for possible pole-equator differences.An accuracy of approx. 0.8 mÅ r.m.s. is achieved for the determination of the centre of the solar line relative to the iodine lines and of 0.3 mÅ to 1 mÅ r.m.s. for the relative variations of the C-shape. The analysis shows a significant difference between the limb-effect curves along polar and equatorial diameters for cos 0.4 and changes of the C-shape for 0.9 cos 0.6 with a rather strong indication of a latitude dependence of the C-shape. This latitude dependence may account for the so-called ears observed by Howard et al. (1980) who used the well-known Doppler compensator method which integrates the line asymmetry from the line wings to the core.Mitteilungen aus dem Kiepenheuer-Institut Nr. 207.  相似文献

From high precision computer controlled tracings of bright Ca+-mottles we investigated differential rotation, meridional and random motions of these chromospheric fine structures. The equatorial angular velocity of the Ca+-mottles agrees well with that of sunspots (14°.50 per day, sidereal) and is 5 % higher than for the photosphere. The slowing down with increasing latitude is larger than for sunspots. Hence in higher latitudes Ca+-mottles rotate as fast as the photospheric plasma. A systematic meridional motion of about 0.1 km s–1 for latitudes around 10° was found. The Ca+-mottles show horizontal random motions due to the supergranular flow pattern with an rms velocity of about 0.15 km s–1. Observational data and simulations of the regional climate system Baltic integrated model system (BALTIMOS) were used to study precipitation in the Baltic Sea and its drainage basin with a special focus on the diurnal cycle. The study includes a general evaluation of BALTIMOS precipitation, showing that BALTIMOS has too many light rain events causing an overestimation of the total annual precipitation amount. The diurnal cycle as well as its spatial distribution was analysed. BALTIMOS captures the broad characteristics: a significant diurnal variability with an afternoon peak above land and weak variability with a nocturnal peak above sea. An algorithm to distinguish between frontal and convective precipitation was applied to examine the diurnal cycle more thoroughly. The local solar time of maximum rain in summer is about 1 to 2 h earlier in BALTIMOS than in radar observations of precipitation.  相似文献

The Finite Element Sea-ice Ocean Model (FESOM) is formulated on unstructured meshes and offers geometrical flexibility which is difficult to achieve on traditional structured grids. In this work, the performance of FESOM in the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean on large time scales is evaluated in a hindcast experiment. A water-hosing experiment is also conducted to study the model sensitivity to increased freshwater input from Greenland Ice Sheet (GrIS) melting in a 0.1-Sv discharge rate scenario. The variability of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) in the hindcast experiment can be explained by the variability of the thermohaline forcing over deep convection sites. The model also reproduces realistic freshwater content variability and sea ice extent in the Arctic Ocean. The anomalous freshwater in the water-hosing experiment leads to significant changes in the ocean circulation and local dynamical sea level (DSL). The most pronounced DSL rise is in the northwest North Atlantic as shown in previous studies, and also in the Arctic Ocean. The released GrIS freshwater mainly remains in the North Atlantic, Arctic Ocean and the west South Atlantic after 120 model years. The pattern of ocean freshening is similar to that of the GrIS water distribution, but changes in ocean circulation also contribute to the ocean salinity change. The changes in Arctic and sub-Arctic sea level modify exchanges between the Arctic Ocean and subpolar seas, and hence the role of the Arctic Ocean in the global climate. Not only the strength of the AMOC, but also the strength of its decadal variability is notably reduced by the anomalous freshwater input. A comparison of FESOM with results from previous studies shows that FESOM can simulate past ocean state and the impact of increased GrIS melting well.  相似文献

Complete photoelectric spectra of the photosphere as well as of both umbra and penumbra of a typical sunspot, ranging from 3900–8000 Å, have been obtained at the Locarno observatory. An automatic scanning device, a high precision electronic divider and an on-line Oscillomink penless recorder enabled us to eliminate the noise produced by image distortion and to scan the entire visible spectrum within just 5 h. The recordings have a linear dispersion of about 50 mm/Å and a spectral resolution of 40 mÅ or better. Simultaneously with these observations the momentary continuous spot intensity and its fast variation with time due to seeing variations have been recorded with a frequency resolution up to 100 Hz. In order to provide as much data as possible for the correction of the umbral spectrum for parasitic light, we also measured the limb profile and the aureola intensity at several wavelengths.At present, the recordings are being processed and combined into an atlas, which we plan to make available in either numerical or graphical form.As a first result, we compare our corrected continuous sunspot intensities with those of other authors and derive standard reference data on the radiation of both umbra and penumbra of a typical sunspot. Finally we make a comparison between some radiative properties of sunspots and late-type stellar atmospheres.  相似文献

From new observational material we made a curve of growth analysis of the penumbra of a large, stable sunspot. Additionally we tested this model by computing the equivalent widths of 28 well selected lines and comparing them with our observations.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Die Umgebung von Bodenmais wurde petrographisch kartiert und der mineralfacielle und tektonische Ablauf ermittelt. Die Erzkörper bei Bodenmais liegen in metatektischen Cordieritgneisen, und zwar in deren Metatekten. Sie können aus einer Reihe von Gründen nicht aus dem Restbestand in diese wie deren leukokrater Stoffbestand hineingewandert sein, sondern waren bereits in älteren Mineralfacies schon etwa in der heutigen Zusammensetzung als Erzkörper vorhanden. Der im Cordieritgneis überall anzutreffende geringe Sulfid- und Oxydgehalt wandert bei der recht intensiven metamorphen Differentiation ebenfalls nicht. In den Orthogesteinen, die dem Cordieritgneis eingeschaltet Bind, wurden dioritische und basischere Gesteine nachgewiesen. Auch zu diesen zeigen die Erze keine geochemischen Beziehungen. Da im tektonischen Dach der Gneise, in den Granatglimmerschiefern bei Lam, und in den Gneisen selbst der gleiche kinetische Ablauf mit fast gleichem Deformationsplan gefunden wurde und nur ein Deformationsplan nachgewiesen werden konnte, ist es möglich, daß die Anordnung der Erze parallel der Anordnung von Schichtgliedern im Glimmerschiefer einer ursprünglichen Schichtung entspricht.Herrn Prof. Dr.Bederke zum 60. eburtstag gewidmet.  相似文献

Near the village of Engeln, Laacher See area, garnet-bearing pyriclasite and pyribolite ejecta were recognized as constituents of alkaline basaltic tuffs; they are interpreted as fragments of the lowermost crust. During the first main stage of granulite facies metamorphism, assemblages with garnet (Alm47Pyr34Spess2Gross + Andr17), clinopyroxene (Wo37En35Fs15Ts8.5Jd4.5), orthopyroxene I (En34Fs38Ts4Jd2), and plagioclase I (An40-An60) were formed in a temperature range of 730–850°C and rock pressures somewhere between 6.5 and 12 kb, Ptot >PH2O > 0. The rare sulfate-rich meionite, and at least a part of the ubiquitous brown hornblende were presumably also formed during this stage. A retrograde metamorphic event under slightly lower pressures and temperatures led to the breakdown of the assemblage garnet + clinopyroxene thereby forming coronas of plagioclase II (An75) + orthopyroxene II + Ti-magnetite ± brown hornblende.  相似文献
