Five distinct paragenetic, morphological and compositional types of grossular garnet (G1, G2, G3, G4, G5) were distinguished within the individual (sub)units of the zoned leucotonalitic pegmatite cutting serpentinized lherzolite with rodingite dikes at ??ár near Ruda nad Moravou, Staré Město Unit, Northern Moravia. Detailed study using Electron Microprobe Analysis, Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry, Cathodoluminiscence and Infrared Spectroscopy revealed distinct compositional trends in major, minor and trace elements. The contents of Fe3+, Mn, Mg and Ti increase from early garnet (G1) in the outermost grossular subunit through the interstitial garnet (G2) in the leucocratic subunit to graphic intergrowths of quartz+garnet (G3) in the coarse-grained unit. Then these constituents decrease in inclusions of garnet (G4) from the blocky unit and large crystals of garnet (G5) from the quartz core. Some trace elements (V, Ni, Y) exhibit the same trends, only Be evidently increases in garnet from border zone to the centre. Fluorine has negative correlation with Fe3+ as well as some trace elements (Ta, Pb). Concentrations of H2O in garnets, up to 0.22 wt.% H2O, are comparable with spessartine-almandine garnets from the Rutherford No. 2 pegmatite, Virginia, and grossular garnets from high-temperature calc-silicate rocks (skarns). Water contents correlate positively with Fe3+, but inversely with F. The use of water contents in garnet to elucidate the fluctuations of activity of H2O during the pegmatite formation is only limited; the incorporation of hydrous defects seems to be controlled instead by crystal-structural constraints. However, the sum of all volatile components (H2O + F) increases about twice from the outermost subunit to the centre of the pegmatite body.  相似文献

Magnetic images have been produced at the distance of 0.1 mm from the polished basaltic thin sections of rocks from Prague Synform in Barrandian area. Three different magnetic textures were seen and when combined with optical imaging could be related to petrological features. The first magnetic texture revealed that most of the magnetic signature is localized within the amygdales formed later after the basalts became part of the sedimentary sequence. The second texture showed that the basaltic body contains large grain size distribution of magnetic carriers possibly with variable viscous magnetizations. The third texture suggested a presence of magnetic anisotropy of igneous origin. Such textural magnetic information along with the paleomagnetic characteristics of the basaltic rocks of Silurian age constrained the overall geological interpretation.  相似文献

Abstract

The development of the River Morava floodplain has been influenced by several natural and anthropogenic factors. This paper focuses on variations in flood activity and channel changes of the River Morava in the region of Strá?nické Pomoraví (southeastern Czech Republic). Floods are analysed in terms of measured peak water stages, Hk (Rohatec, 1886–1920) and peak discharges Qk (Rohatec/Strá?nice, 1921–2010) evaluated with respect to their N-year return period (H N or QN ). The frequency of floods with Qk Q 2 reaches a significant maximum in March, followed by July. According to flood series compiled from 1881 onwards, their frequency peaked in the 1961–1970 decade with the most severe events occurring in July 1997 (Q 100), March 2006 and June 2010 (Q 50). During the study period the natural dynamics of the original anabranching channel patterns were significantly modified by human intervention, such as the abandonment of some anabranching channels, channel straightening, enlargement of the main channel, flood-dike construction, and the creation of the Ba?a shipping channel. These changes resulted in decreased frequency and a reduction in the extent of floodplain inundations compared to the period prior to channel modifications in the 1930s.

The Commission on Spatial Data Standards of the International Cartographic Association is working to define formal models and technical characteristics of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI). To date, this work has been restricted to the Enterprise and Information Viewpoints from the ISO Reference Model for Open Distributed Processing standard. The Commission has developed models for these two viewpoints. These models describe how the different parts of an SDI fit together in the viewpoints in question. These models should be seen as a contribution towards the overall model of the SDI and its technical characteristics. During the model development process, the roles of the different Actors in an SDI in the Enterprise and Information Viewpoints have also been identified in Use Case diagrams of an SDI. All the models have been developed using the Unified Modeling Language.  相似文献

Diurnal variations in streamflow are becoming acknowledged as a way of analysing how changing climatic conditions and land use affects watersheds but also as a way to understand watersheds as a whole. Yet not many studies from uplands below 900 mm mean annual precipitation zone are available from European countries. During the 2012 growing season, a sampling campaign took place in an upland forested micro‐watershed, Czech Republic (65 ha). Tree sap flow, rainfall and temperature were measured continuously, while streamflow at the discharge point and soil moisture were estimated from short‐term measurements. Short precipitation‐free periods lasting several days were identified for evaluation of trends in diurnal dynamics of both sap flow and streamflow. The results demonstrated that during these periods, the main factor altering streamflow was almost exclusively tree sap flow. A decrease in streamflow was observed during the day and an increase at night. The decline in sap flow after sunset was accompanied by a continuous increase in streamflow throughout the night up to its initial maximum in the morning. The amplitude in diurnal variations reached 18%. The observed time lag between the diurnal variations of sap flow and streamflow was approximately 2 h. Relatively low changes in diurnal dynamics of streamflow pointed out a strong regulatory role of the forest in buffering water discharge from the catchment. Metamorphic diamond in crustal rocks provides important information on the deep subduction of continental crust. Here, we present a new occurrence of diamond within the Seve Nappe Complex (SNC) of the Scandinavian Caledonides, on Åreskutan in Jämtland County, Sweden. Microdiamond is found in situ as single and composite (diamond+carbonate) inclusions within garnet, in kyanite‐bearing paragneisses. The rocks preserve the primary peak pressure assemblage of Ca,Mg‐rich garnet+phengite+kyanite+rutile, with polycrystalline quartz surrounded by radial cracks indicating breakdown of coesite. Calculated P–T conditions for this stage are 830–840 °C and 4.1–4.2 GPa, in the diamond stability field. The ultrahigh‐pressure (UHP) assemblage has been variably overprinted under granulite facies conditions of 850–860 °C and 1.0–1.1 GPa, leading to formation of Ca,Mg‐poor garnet+biotite+plagioclase+K‐feldspar+sillimanite+ilmenite+quartz. This overprint was the result of nearly isothermal decompression, which is corroborated by Ti‐in‐quartz thermometry. Chemical Th–U–Pb dating of monazite yields ages between 445 and 435 Ma, which are interpreted to record post‐UHP exhumation of the diamond‐bearing rocks. The new discovery of microdiamond on Åreskutan, together with other evidence of ultrahigh‐pressure metamorphism (UHPM) within gneisses, eclogites and peridotites elsewhere in the SNC, provide compelling arguments for regional (at least 200 km along strike of the unit) UHPM of substantial parts of this far‐travelled allochthon. The occurrence of UHPM in both rheologically weak (gneisses) and strong lithologies (eclogites, peridotites) speaks against the presence of large tectonic overpressure during metamorphism.  相似文献

Fe-Ti-oxides may reach hundreds ppm in I-type granitoids and close to microgranular mafic enclaves (MME) up to several thousands ppm. Western Carpathian I-type granitoids have magnetic susceptibility above 3?×?10?4 SI units, whereas S-type granites are lower. Associated MMEs reach up to 160?×?10?4 SI. The measurement of magnetic susceptibility in field appears a useful tool for regional mapping of I-type granites and searching enclaves. The increased contents of Fe-oxides around MME within host I-type granitoids are interpreted as result of hybridization with mafic magma. The hybridisation is manifested by occurrence of two Fe-Ti-oxide generations: (1) orthomagmatic titanomagnetite from pre-mixing stage, (2) late-magmatic magnetite of post-mixing stage. The titanomagnetites show composite textures with exsolved ilmenite. The oxybarometry (Sauerzapf et al. 2008; Ghiorso Evans 2009) yields temperatures 700?C750°C at fO2 about NNO, and 650?C700°C below FMQ, respectively. Post-mixing pure magnetites originated from early titanomagnetite, annite and anorthite associated with titanite and apatite. The late oxidation seems to be responsible for high magnetic susceptibility of metaluminous I-type tonalites. Both post- and pre- mixing Fe-Ti oxides are locally converted to hematite.  相似文献

A complex assemblage of Nb-Ta-(Sn) oxide minerals occur in a relatively narrow (~1?2 m thick) extensively albitized, Hercynian granitic pegmatite dike intruding biotite granodiorites near Bratislava, SW Slovakia. The dike shows enrichment in beryl (locally Cs-rich) but absence of Li- and B-rich phases. Compositions and textural relationships indicate complex evolutions of Nb-Ta oxide phases with several generations presenting distinct textural and compositional features. The first generation of the Nb-Ta minerals from the quartz-microcline-muscovite zone show Ta,Fe-rich compositions with Ta# [Ta/(Ta + Nb)]?=?0.52?0.70 (Ct I columbite-tantalite), 0.88?0.90 (Tap I ferrotapiolite) and 0.73?0.86 (Fw I ferrowodginite); Mn# [Mn/(Mn + Fe)]?=?0.32?0.49 (Ct I), 0.06?0.10 (Tap I) and 0.33?0.41 (Fw I). The 2nd generation is represented by ferrocolumbite to ferrotantalite (Ct II) in saccharoidal albite zone, replacement zones of Ct II in Ct I, and irregular overgrowths of ferrotapiolite (Tap II) and ferrowodginite (Fw II) on Tap I grains. The minerals of the 2nd generation show decreasing of Ta# in comparison to the 1st group: 0.10?0.60 (Ct II), 0.85?0.87 (Tap II) and 0.73?0.77 (Fw II); Mn# attains 0.30?0.45 (Ct II), 0.06?0.09 (Tap II) and 0.26?0.37 (Fw II). The 3rd generation includes fissure fillings, overgrowths and replacement zones of manganocolumbite and manganotantalite (Ct III), ferrotapiolite (Tap III) and ferrowodginite (Fw III) on the older Nb-Ta phases (Ct I, Tap I, Fw I, Fw II), in the coarse-grained unit. The 3rd population displays distinct Mn# increasing (Ct III: 0.51?0.69, Tap III: 0.11?0.24, Fw III: 0.40?0.41), Ta# values reach 0.16?0.79 (Ct III), 0.88?0.92 (Tap III) and 0.80?0.81 (Fw III). The latest, 4th generation of the Nb-Ta phases represents irregular veinlets and patches of fluorcalciomicrolite, replacing Ct I, Tap I, Fw I, Ct II and Tap III. Decrease of Ta/(Ta + Nb) values in Ct II from the saccharoidal albite unit can be explained by crystallization from the albite-rich melt, which was significantly impoverished in Ta with respect to Nb, after crystallization of Ta-rich phases from the 1st generation (ferrotapiolite I, ferrowodginite I).  相似文献

Long‐term observations of the water balance elements were carried out in the Izhora plateau located in northwest Russia. As a result of these investigations, the average recharge of the Leningrad artesian basin located south of the plateau was calculated. The infiltration to the karstic groundwater table was determined on the basis of groundwater fluctuations in the observations wells.  相似文献

This paper examines soil temperature (Ts) in two different plantation forests relative to an adjacent open land area in a tropical highland environment. To achieve the objectives, Ts in a Juniperus procera (JP) plantation, a Grevillea robusta (GR) plantation, and in the adjacent open land (OL) area were measured. One-way ANOVA and Pearson’s correlation were used for the data analysis. The result indicated that the mean daily Ts in the OL area at 10-cm depth of the soil was greater than the mean daily Ts recorded in the JP and GR plantations by 5 °C and 6 °C, respectively. The OL area Ts recorded at different soil depths (10 cm and 20 cm) was significantly different (p < 0.05). Rainfall (RF) and air temperature (Ta) of the study area have a direct relationship with the Ts in the plantation forests. The RF and Ta do not have a significant relationship with the Ts in the OL area at 10-cm soil depth. Overall, the study indicated that the Ts in the open land area was highly fluctuating monotonically, while it is relatively constant in the plantation forests.  相似文献
