Analytical computation of gravity effects for polyhedral bodies 总被引:4,自引:1,他引:3

On the basis of recent analytical results we derive new formulas for computing the gravity effects of polyhedral bodies which are expressed solely as function of the coordinates of the vertices of the relevant faces. We thus prove that such formulas exhibit no singularity whenever the position of the observation point is not aligned with an edge of a face. In the opposite case, the contribution of the edge to the potential to its first-order derivative and to the diagonal entries of the second-order derivative is deemed to be zero on the basis of some claims which still require a rigorous mathematical proof. In contrast with a common statement in the literature, it is proved that only the off-diagonal entries of the second-order derivative of the potential do exhibit a noneliminable singularity when the observation point is aligned with an edge of a face. The analytical provisions on the range of validity of the derived formulas have been fully confirmed by the Matlab $^{\textregistered }$ program which has been coded and thoroughly tested by computing the gravity effects induced by real asteroids at arbitrarily placed observation points. 相似文献

The La Plata Basin (LPB) is one of the most important regions for agriculture and livestock production in South America, playing a central role in the world food production and food security. Within its borders is also located the whole Brazilian Pantanal region. Identifying the most important land use sectors in LPB as well as the changes observed in the past years is fundamental to recognize which areas of the basin might be more vulnerable to climate change in order to design adaptation strategies. A general characterization of land use and livestock production of Brazilian LPB was done by using the System of Automatic Retrieving (SIDRA) of Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) platform as the major source of data. It was observed expressive increases in land areas used for temporary crops, such as soybean, sugarcane, and maize, as well as increases in poultry and swine production. These important changes in agricultural land use and livestock production are currently associated to non-climatic drivers, but this dynamic might be strongly affected by the consequences of climate change and variability, with negative socio-economic impacts for the whole region. 相似文献

It is proposed that the formation of the morphology of solar magnetic cavities and of the topology of their magnetic fields at a certain stage of their evolution (a decay of a quasi-uniform, rotating, magnetized cylindrical layer into rings, followed by their deformation and the generation of internal fine structure etc.) can be attributed to the excitation of a shear-centrifugal-resonance instability. The calculations show the existence of two families of unstable modes: resonance-gyroscopic modes due to the rotation of the layer and fast magneto acoustic waves propagating outside the layer and resonating in phase with intra-layer perturbations. Both families contain a large number of unstable waveguide harmonics, with the superposition and interaction of these harmonics being responsible for the extremely complex structure of coronal cavities. 相似文献

The authors have studied melt-fluid and fluid inclusions in quartz and fluorite of sideritic and ankerite-calcitic carbonatites of the Karasug ore field, as well as melt inclusions in apatite from granosyenites. The content of salt and fluid components in brine-melt inclusions was evaluated on the basis of the thermodynamic data, the calculations of volumes and densities of the solid phases, a solution of about 50% concentration, and the gas phase of the inclusions, as well as the results of the LA-ICP-MS analysis. The content of salt phases, the solution, and the gas phase amounted to 85–70, 10–25, and about 5% of the inclusion substance, respectively. The total percentage of salt and fluid components (H2O and CO2) amounted to 90–80 and 10–20 wt %, respectively. The fraction of a carbonate constituent in the inclusions was as high as 45–50% and over in ankerite-calcite carbonatites and about 15 wt % in sideritic carbonatites. The 117.2 ± 1.3 Ma age of these carbonatites by 40Ar/39Ar, along with other datings for this area, shows that their formation was associated with a manifestation of the Cretaceous alkaline-mafic magmatism (117–120 Ma). The presented model of the formation of carbonatites is in agreement with the sequence of the development of magmatic processes and mineralization in this area. The model is also confirmed by the results of the studies of melt and fluid inclusions in minerals. 相似文献

The morphostructure of the segment between the Cardno and St. Helen transform fracture zones is studied in the rift zone of the South Atlantic slow-spreading mid-oceanic ridge (SAMOR). It was found that it is atypical of similar ridges because of the absence of an evolved rift valley. The rift zone in the transverse section is a cupola with flat slopes, whose surface is divided by volcanic massifs, plateau-like valleys, and unclear ridges and valleys. The entire morphostructure (a cupola-like regional pedestal and the listed relief forms of the second order) indicates its volcanic origin, and the rift zone in this segment is a volcanic high-land. This conclusion is supported by seismic and magnetic data. Because other (not all) SAMOR segments contain the rift valley, the results of this study indicate alternation of the tectonic and magmatic morphostructures along the entire rift zone and identification of its scales is the most important task of the morphostructural study of the SAMOR rift zone. Determination of geodynamic regimes on the basis of the results of morphostructural studies of the rift zone will arise from the solution of this task. 相似文献

The composition and conditions of the formation of gold sulfoarsenide complexes were studied by means of the solution of inverse problems of physicochemical modeling on the basis of the SELEKTOR software, with the computer analysis of the experimental data on Au dissolution in the presence of orpiment at 200–300°C and 1 kbar pressure. It was shown that sulfoarsenide complexes of gold formed in sulfurous-arsenious metalliferous hydrothermal solutions quantitatively prevailed in acidic and near-neutral solutions in the presence of As. The stability of the H2AuAsS 3 0 sulfoarsenide complex and of its AuAsS 2 0 deprotonated analogue depends on the concentration of arsenic in the system, just as the ratio of sulfoarsenide and hydrosulfide complexes of gold. The productive metalliferous generations of sulfides in pyrite-arsenopyrite parageneses are deposited involving gold sulfoarsenides. 相似文献

The new stage of work on digitizing the astronomical plates of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute’s collection and searching for new variable stars using the digitized photographic plates includes a considerable improvement of the automated search techniques for objects with variable brightnesses. In particular, the technique for taking into account the non-linear response of the photographic light detector has been improved. Applying the improved techniques to 182 digitized images of a 10° × 10° field centered at SA9, obtained from scanning photographic plates taken with the Sternberg Astronomical Institute 40-cm astrograph, has enabled the discover and study of 77 new variable stars (MDV 519–595). These include 3 Cepheids, 2 probable BY Draconis stars, 65 eclipsing binaries, 3RR Lyrae stars, 1 high-amplitude δ Scuti star (HADS), and 3 irregular variables. Special CCD observations have confirmed the presence of brightness variations in 7 of the 77 variables that were initially considered uncertain. 相似文献
