Measurements of the polarisation state of the atmosphere were performed at Tenerife in June–July 1997, in the framework of ACE‐2 (second Aerosol Characterization Experiment), by 2 ground‐based instruments: RefPol (a LOA prototype) which took measurements at 445, 665, 870, 1610 nm in the solar principal plane; and an automatic CIMEL (CE 318) sun/sky‐photometer which measured polarised radiation at 870 nm in the same observational geometry. Measurements acquired during the campaign, as well as AERONET (AErosol RObotic NETwork) measurements acquired at the sites of Cape Verde and M'Bour, are processed with an algorithm determining the polarised single‐scattering sky‐radiance due to aerosols, directly proportional to the aerosol polarised phase function (representing the probability to scatter polarised radiation in the direction of the scattering angle). A good correlation between the Ångström exponent α, representing the spectral dependence of the extinction measurements, and the polarised phase function is observed on each set of data. The uncertainty of retrievals at 445 nm makes the determination of the spectral dependence of polarisation inconclusive but does not prevent confirming the dependence of the aerosol polarised phase function on α, at all wavelengths. An Ångström exponent of 1 corresponds to a polarised phase function of around 0.1 (±0.04), at 870 nm and at a scattering angle of 60°. For α between 0 and 0.4, the average value of the polarised phase function is 0.05. The correlation shows that polarisation is more sensitive to small particles than to large particles. The discrepancy between retrievals and Mie calculations from an AERONET size distribution, inverted from Izaña measurements acquired during a dust event, suggests the presence of small particles, not detected by total sky‐radiance measurements. 相似文献

RésuméLa région de St-Etienne (bassin houiller et massif métamorphique du Mt Pilat) est une de celles où l’on a formulé pour la première fois dans le Massif Central français la notion de “late orogenic extension” pour la chaîne hercynienne. L’exemple en était la faille ductile du Mt Pilat qui était considérée comme la faille normale liée à la formation du bassin houiller de St-Etienne.Nous montrons, grâce à des observations précises de terrain, en tenant compte des nombreuses données de sub-surface fournies par les anciennes exploitations de charbon, que ce schéma doit être notablement modifié. Le bassin de St-Etienne est pour nous un bassin “pull-apart” sur décrochement dextre qui ne correspond pas à la faille ductile du Pilat. Nous comparons celle-ci à la faille nord-himalayenne et nous discutons à l’échelle lithosphérique les problèmes de la chaîne hercynienne du Massif Central entre les Monts du Lyonnais et les Cévennes. 相似文献

The mylonitic rocks of the Central Cameroonian Shear Zone (Foumban–Bankim sector) are mainly ancient magmatic rocks emplaced in an internal zone of a Pan-African active margin. They display calc-alkaline affinities with granitoids of northern Cameroon, but differ by their higher K contents and shoshonitic nature. This spatial distinction in pre- to syn-orogenic magmatism permits to define a north to south potassium increase trend, compatible with the existence of a northern Pan-African subduction zone. The shearing evolution of this margin is marked by the superposition of two mylonitic foliations and the occurrence of unusual δ-type porphyroclasts. This suggests the interference of two shearing phases operating in opposing sense at a constant direction, under deep and shallow metamorphic conditions, respectively. To cite this article: E. A numerical solution of the dispersion equation for electromagnetic waves in a hot magnetized collisionless plasma has shown that, in a current-free ionospheric plasma, the distortion of the electron distribution function reproducing the downward flow of a thermal electron component and the compensating upward flow of the suprathermal electrons, which are responsible for the resulting heat flux, can destabilize quasi-electrostatic ion sound waves. The numerical analysis, performed with ion densities and electron temperature taken from the data recorded by the Interkosmos-24 (IK-24, Aktivny) satellite, is compared with a VLF spectrum registered at the same time on board. This spectrum shows a wide frequency band emission below the local ion plasma frequency. The onset of exhumation of the Canigou massif, related to the reactivation of the Têt Fault during the Gulf of Lion opening, is dated at 26–27 Ma, using apatite fission track method and lasts until the Aquitanian, at a rate of . The subsequent evolution is necessarily followed by a slower rate of exhumation to account for total exhumation. At the hanging-wall of this fault, the granite of Mont-Louis records an older exhumation history, where the crossing of the 110 °C isotherm at 40±4 Ma is related to the Pyrenean thrusting.
