Eclogite lenses in the Agualada Unit (western Ordenes Complex, Spain) contain the peak mineral assemblage garnet (prograde rim: Alm = 48 mol%, Prp = 30 mol%), omphacite (Jd max = 36 mol%), quartz, rutile and rare zoisite, which equilibrated at T = 700 °C and P > 12–14 kbar. Garnet shows discontinuous growth zoning, with a pyrope-poor intermediate zone (Alm = 51 mol%, Prp = 10 mol%) between a core zone where pyrope is slightly higher (Alm = 46 mol%, Prp = 16 mol%) and areas just inward from the rims where the maximum pyrope contents (Alm = 48 mol%, Prp = 30 mol%) are recorded. In atoll interiors, garnet contains inclusions of a first generation of omphacite (Jd max = 40 mol%). This omphacite is replaced in the matrix by a second generation (Jd max = 36 mol%) with higher Fe/Fe + Mg ratio. The compositions of garnet and omphacite suggest a complex syneclogitic tectonothermal evolution for the Agualada Unit, characterized by: (1) eclogite-facies metamorphism (T = 585 °C, P > 12–13 kbar), followed by (2) cooling during a slight decompression (T = 500 °C, P > 11–12 kbar), and (3) a final increase in P and T to form the garnet rim-matrix omphacite mineral assemblage. The Agualada Unit is part of a subduction complex which affected the Gondwana margin at the beginning of the Variscan cycle. The P-T evolution of the Agualada eclogites is closely related to the structural evolution of the accretionary complex and the whole orogenic wedge. The cooling event recorded by the Agualada eclogites may have resulted from the accretion of a new colder crustal slice under the unit, whereas the final progradation reflects the emplacement of the Agualada Unit directly under the mantle wedge. This evolution fits well with previously presented the retical models, both for the tectonothermal evolution of accretionary complexes and for the dynamic evolution of orogenic wedges. P-T paths such as the one for the Agualada Unit eclogites, probably reflect a prolonged structural evolution. Although evidently rarely preserved, such paths are probably the rule rather than the exception during plate convergence.  相似文献

Accumulation of metals in anoxic environments occurs by sorption and precipitation from seawater, fossil brines or hydrothermal solutions. Metals can be remobilized during subsequent metamorphic and magmatic processes and form ore deposits. This type of mineralization is governed chiefly by the type of tectonic setting of the anoxic environment. Carbonaceous sediments of passive margins contain only subeconomic concentrations of uranium, vanadium and molybdenum. Cubearing black shales and the submarine-exhalative type of mineralization are confined to the environments of continental rifts and aulacogens or to back-arc basins of active margins. Metamorphogenic deposits are mainly connected with collision margins but they may also occur in other types of tectonic environments. The formation of Cu-bearing black shales was controlled by period of low sea-level during the break-up of supercontinents in the Earth's evolution. Increased contents of uranium and vanadium accumulated in black shales in periods of sealevel highstands. Lithological control is apparent in deposits of Cu-bearing and uraniferous black shales. On the contrary, the occurrence of polymetallic mineralization does not depend on the lithological maturity of carbonaceous sediments.  相似文献

In this paper a computerized method for the intensity estimation from macroseismic observations is presented. The successive steps of the MSK intensity scale (2° to 10°) receives weights according to the observations marked on the earthquake questionnaires. These weights are summed for the individual scale steps. The distribution of these summed weights and their relation to an experimentally chosen function of the criterion make it possible to estimate the appropriate intensity value and its reliability. By computer evaluation of earthquake reports an objective comparison of estimated intensities given by different seismologists can be made, provided that uniform earthquake questionnaires are used. The application of this method will result in more homogeneous intensity data.  相似文献

In the western part of the Cantabrian Zone, Carlés gold mineralization is related to an igneous stock of granodioritic composition which intruded into devonian limestones, forming a well-developed exo-skarn and quantitatively less important endo-skarn. The skarn is characterized by the presence of garnet, pyroxenes, amphiboles, layers of hornfels corresponding to pelitic intercalations, and a number of opaque oxides and sulfides. Gold inclusions in arsenic minerals are present in quartzveins occurring in the skarn and in the granodiorite, but gold-rich zones are limited to the skarn. The crystallization temperature of arsenopyrite is coherent with T-P conditions (T = 460°C, P = 2200 bars) deduced from intersections of isochores of aqueous and carbonic fluid inclusions studied in samples of cogenetic quartz.  相似文献

The seismic wave field is considerably influenced by local structures close to the source and to the receiver. This applies to sources and receivers situated close to localized inhomogeneities, to structural interfaces, to the earth's surface, etc. In this paper we concentrate our attention mainly to the ray-theoretical radiation patterns of point sources situated close to the structural interfaces and to the earth's surface. In numerical modeling of high-frequency seismic wave fields by the ray method, the interaction of the source with the earth's surface has not usually been taken into account.The proposed procedure of the computation of the radiation patterns of point sources situated directly on structural interfaces and on the earth's surface is based on the zero-order approximation of the ray method, assuming that the length of the ray between the source and the receiver is long. The derived equations are extended to point sources located close to structural interface, to the earth's surface and to thin transition layers using the hybrid ray-reflectivity method, seeervený (1989). The thin layer need not be homogeneous; it may include an arbitrary inner layering (transition layers, laminas, etc.) The only requirement is for the layer to be thin. Roughly speaking, we require its thickness to be less than one quarter of the prevailing wavelength. The hybrid ray-reflectivity method describes well even certain non-ray effects (tunneling.S * waves, etc.). Explicit analytical expressions for radiation patterns for all above listed point sources are found. These expression have a local character and may be easily implemented into computer codes designed for the routine computation of ray amplitudes and synthetic ray seismograms in 2-D and 3-D, laterally varying isotropic layered and block structures by the ray method.Numerical examples of radiation patterns ofP andS waves of point sources situated close to the earth's surface and to a thin low-velocity surface layer are presented and discussed. The explosive point source (center of dilatation) and the vertical and horizontal single force point sources are considered. It has been ascertained that the radiation patterns of point sources depend drastically on the depth of the source below the surface even if the depths vary within one quarter of the prevailing wavelength.  相似文献

We discuss Yohkoh SXT observations of stationary giant post-flare arches which occurred on 3–6 May, 1992 and study in detail the last arch, associated with the flare at 19:02 UT on 5 May, which extended above the west limb. The arch was similar to the first giant arch discovered on board the SMM, on 21–22 May, 1980. We demonstrate that the long lifetimes of these structures necessarily imply additional energy input from the underlying active region: otherwise, conduction would cool these arches in less than one hour and even with the unlikely assumption of conduction inhibited, pure radiative cooling would not produce the temperature decrease observed. All arch tops, although varying in brightness, stayed for several days at a fairly constant altitude of 100 000 km, and the arch studied, on 5–6 May, was just a new brightening of the pre-existing decaying structure. The brightening was apparently due to inflow of hot plasma from the flare region. Yohkoh data confirm that these stationary arches are rare phenomena when compared with the rising arches studied in Paper I and with Uchida et al.'s expanding active regions.  相似文献

Mean return periods, RP, for the site of Roermond, The Netherlands, as calculated by different methods, are compared, and its quality evaluated by a simple two-tail test of hypothesis. Results show that RP values by the EGO-method are statistically more likely. They can be considered, despite their broad 90% probability intervals, and for the site and data used, more reliable, since the Roermond earthquake was not an unusual or surprising event for the Lower Rhine Embayment area, where earthquakes of comparable size have occurred since the 18th century.  相似文献

A new system of coordinates for tokamak is presented here. They are described by the usual toroidal angle and coordinates in the meridian plane using the projection of the magnetic field lines and families of orthogonal lines. The number of families depends on the number of magnetic axis, and in this way the number of regions in the meridian plane are also defined. The differential operators are obtained using the curvatures s and of each family. Grad–Safranov equation, poloidal field equations and Pfirsch–Schlüter transport are described in a general way using this kind of coordinates.  相似文献

The intense urbanization of the Mediterranean coast as a result of the development of residential-tourist activities since the 1960s, especially from the mid-1990s to 2008, has generated new urban environments associated with extensive urban typologies. These include gardens linked to houses with outdoor spaces that are shared between all of the residents of the residential developments. The aim of this study is to determine the main characteristics of these new urban green spaces and their effect on domestic water consumption in Alicante (Spain). To do this, we analysed the characteristics that define these types of gardens (surface area, density, plant species and irrigation system) and determined their water needs using the Water Use Classifications of Landscape Species method. The main conclusions are that the increase in paved areas is one of the strategies to reduce water consumption in spaces where turf grass is the most common plant species. This is due to increased water prices and lack of water resources.  相似文献
