The Sr and C isotopic compositions of Precambrian carbonate rocks are determined for Amderma Rise, in the northeastern margin of Pai-Khoi Ridge. Based on the Sr isotopic chemostratigraphy, it is established for the first time that the Amderma Formation is referred to the Early Vendian, while the Morozovsk Formation is Late Riphean in age. This conclusion along with detailed mapping proves that the Precambrian “section” of the Amderma Rise is a series of tectonic plates combined in a nonchronostratigraphic order. Volcanic and sedimentary rocks of the Morozovsk and Sokolninsk formations make up the allochthon proper, while carbonate rocks of the Amderma Formation make up the para-autochthon. The high values of δ13С (up to +9.5‰) identified in limestones of both formations suggest a considerable distance of the Pai-Khoi paleobasin from the passive margin of the Baltic Region upon facies similarity to the Laurentia active margins. 相似文献

The Sr isotope composition in glendonites from two sections of the Middle Jurassic of Northern Siberia has been determined for the first time. Glendonite was formed by the replacement of icite by calcite during diagenesis. The 87Sr/86Sr in most of the samples of glendonites (0.70687–0.70715) is insignificantly lower than this ratio in the Late Bathonian–Early Bajocian ocean. This may indicate a contribution from the Callovian seawater in the formation of individual calcite generations or the influence of methanogenic fluid of deep origin. 相似文献

On April 21, 2006 an earthquake with a magnitude of M
s = 7.7 named Olyutor struck the Koryak Autonomous Region. It was the strongest earthquake for the entire period of historical
and instrumental observations. The coordinates of the epicenter were 60.91° N, 166.98° E; the hypocenter’s depth was 12 km.
For the efficient study of the earthquake, a team of scientists of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far
Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) was sent to the epicentral area. The article presents the results
of studies of soil liquefaction in the settlement of Korf, which was the most affected during the Olyutor earthquake. The
intensity of the earthquake in the settlement was 9 points. Numerous cracks in the soil were observed, sand volcanoes were
formed, and there were numerous cases of sand and silt eruptions, subsidence, and flooding in the settlement. It was decided
