To evaluate the overall response of a structural system including its foundation and surrounding soil, an equivalent finite element model with reduced degrees of freedom using fibre theory‐based beam element was proposed. The proposed model was based on investigations of the subgrade soil reaction of a single‐layer model, and was verified for the cyclic behaviour of a laterally loaded single RC pile in terms of the load–displacement relationship, pile deformation, and soil pressures on the pile surface. Large-scale turbulent motions enhancing horizontal gas spread in an atmospheric boundary layer are simulated in a wind-tunnel
experiment. The large-scale turbulent motions can be generated using an active grid installed at the front of the test section
in the wind tunnel, when appropriate parameters for the angular deflection and the rotation speed are chosen. The power spectra
of vertical velocity fluctuations are unchanged with and without the active grid because they are strongly affected by the
surface. The power spectra of both streamwise and lateral velocity fluctuations with the active grid increase in the low frequency
region, and are closer to the empirical relations inferred from field observations. The large-scale turbulent motions do not
affect the Reynolds shear stress, but change the balance of the processes involved. The relative contributions of ejections
to sweeps are suppressed by large-scale turbulent motions, indicating that the motions behave as sweep events. The lateral
gas spread is enhanced by the lateral large-scale turbulent motions generated by the active grid. The large-scale motions,
however, do not affect the vertical velocity fluctuations near the surface, resulting in their having a minimal effect on
the vertical gas spread. The peak concentration normalized using the root-mean-squared value of concentration fluctuation
is remarkably constant over most regions of the plume irrespective of the operation of the active grid. 相似文献

Abstract— We performed shock‐recovery experiments on insoluble organic matter (IOM) purified from the Murchison meteorite, and determined the abundances and isotope ratios of hydrogen and carbon in the shocked IOM sample. We also performed shock experiments on type III kerogen and compared the results of these experiments with the experimental results regarding IOM. The shock selectively released D and 13C from the IOM, while it preferably released H and 12C from the kerogen. The release of these elements from IOM cannot be explained in terms of the isotope effect, whereas their release from kerogen can be explained by this effect. The selective release of heavier isotopes from IOM would be due to its structure, in which D and 13C‐enriched parts are present as an inhomogeneity and are weakly attached to the main network. Shock gave rise to a high release of D even at a lower degree of dehydrogenation compared with the stepwise heating of IOM. This effective release of D is probably an inherent result of shock, in which a dynamic high‐pressure and high‐temperature condition prevails. Thus, shock would effectively control the hydrogen isotope behavior of extraterrestrial organic matter during the evolution of the solar nebula. 相似文献

Pollution of petroleum hydrocarbons, in particular oil spills, has attracted much attention in the past and recent decades. Oil spills influence natural microbial community, and physical and chemical properties of the affected sites. The biodegradation of hydrocarbons by microorganisms is one of the primary ways by which oil spill is eliminated from contaminated sites. One such spill was that of the Russian tanker the Nakhodka that spilled heavy oil into the Sea of Japan on January 2, 1997. The impact of the Nakhodka oil spill resulted in a viscous sticky fluid fouling the shores and affected natural ecosystems. This paper describes the weathering of hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria (genus Pseudomonas) and crystallized organic compounds from the Nakhodka oil spill-polluted seashores after nine years. The Nakhodka oil has hardened and formed crust of crystalline paraffin wax as shown by XRD analysis (0.422, 0.377, and 0.250 nm d-spacing) in association with graphite and calcite after 9 years of bioremediation. Anaerobic reverse side of the oil crust contained numerous coccus typed bacteria associated with halite. The finding of hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria and paraffin wax in the oil crust may have a significant effect on the weathering processes of the Nakhodka oil spill during the 9- year bioremediation. 相似文献

Cold air formation and advection over Eurasia during “dzud” cold disaster winters in Mongolia 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Large negative temperature anomalies due to cold air advection have been observed over the Eurasian continent in recent years. During the 2009/2010 winter, a large amount of snow accumulated across Central Asia and China, which along with a strong cold air outbreak, resulted in extremely high livestock mortality in Mongolia. The present study examined the surface inversion development over the Eurasian continent in terms of the cold air advection, accumulation, and breaking processes at ground level. Meteorological analyses shown trends toward earlier onsets of snow and subsequent cold air advection from the Arctic through western Siberia during the last decade, which is a possible driver of the persistent enhanced surface cooling observed in mid-winter in Mongolia. Cyclones are shown to be drivers of early snowfall onset at the beginning of winter and the subsequent migration of cold air from the Arctic, and are thus the key to understanding and predicting the frequency and intensity of persistent surface cooling, which is a substantial physical precursor for the cold disaster in Mongolia “dzud.” 相似文献

Measurements of hydroperoxides (H2O2 and MHP) at ground level were made from 2012 to 2015 in Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture in central Japan. H2O2 and MHP concentrations ranged from 0.01 to 3.5 ppb and from below the level of detection (< 0.01 ppb) to 1.4 ppb, respectively. The concentrations of H2O2 and MHP were high in the summer and low in the winter. The H2O2 concentration was at its maximum in July and August, whereas the concentration of O3 in the daytime was highest in May and June. The ratio of [H2O2]/[SO2] presented clear seasonal variations. Many cases showed the condition of [H2O2] < [SO2], called oxidant limitation especially in the cold months. Hydroperoxide concentrations in the rainwater were also high in the summer. The concentrations of MHP were much lower than those of H2O2 in the rain water. High concentrations of H2O2 (> 2.5 ppb) were detected in the summer during the inflow of air pollution. The concentrations of H2O2 were significantly high in July and August of 2013. The H2O2 was well correlated with the O3 in July and August whereas there was no correlation between O3 and H2O2 in May and June. There was a negative correlation between NOX and H2O2. 相似文献

Mt. Ishimaki is the Jurassic accretionary complex of the Chichibu Belt in Toyohashi City, near Nagoya in central Japan. The Ishimaki limestone is thought to be seamount-type limestone. The P1 elements of the conodonts Norigondolella navicula and Ancyrogondolella quadrata found in the limestone indicate it is of Norian age. The Sr isotopic compositions of 45 Ishimaki limestone samples ranged from 0.7055 to 0.7077. Eighteen of these samples had lower Sr isotopic compositions than the lowest Sr isotopic composition (0.7068) of seawater throughout the Phanerozoic. The Sr isotopic compositions in the limestone block are generally lower at the base of the block and higher at the top. The present Sr isotopic compositions of the Ishimaki limestone are unlikely to have been reduced by post-depositional alteration because most of the limestone samples had a low amount of Mn (<300 ppm) or high Sr/Mn ratios (>2) and the conodont elements had low (1–2) CAI (conodont alteration index) values. Additionally, there was little acid-insoluble residue. Thus, the low Sr isotopic compositions are thought to represent the strontium of the past ambient seawater. The low Sr isotopic compositions are in complete disagreement with the generally recognised range of seawater Sr isotopic compositions in the Norian stage of the Late Triassic (0.7075–0.7078) because the depositional environment of the Ishimaki limestone was closed or semi-closed from the Panthalassic Ocean. Therefore, the Sr isotopic composition of the limestone differs from that of the Panthalassic seawater. The low Sr isotopic compositions were probably affected by Sr inflows from mafic oceanic crust by hydrothermal fluid circulation or from hinterlands surrounded by mafic rocks by river water circulation. 相似文献

The mass accretion process onto the hot component of AG Dra and its explosive phenomena are discussed. The hot component seems to be a massive white dwarf (M>1 M). The mass accretion rate is estimated to be about 10–7M/year.
