The telescope SBG (D = 0.42 m, F = 0.76 m) at the Kourovka Astronomical Observatory of the Ural Federal University has undergone an upgrade in 2005–2006. A CCD camera (Apogee Alta U32) and a new drive system were installed, and a new system for telescope and observation control was implemented. This upgrade required verifying the astrometric quality of the telescope. The data processing approaches tested when searching for the optimum CCD image processing technique combined TYCHO2 and UCAC2 catalogues with various reduction models and methods for choosing reference stars. Lorentzian and Moffat profiles were used in the measurement of pixel coordinates. It was demonstrated that the accuracy of SBG observations of main-belt asteroids with precisely determined orbits depends on their brightness and varies from 0.06” (11.5 m ) to 0.4” (18.5 m ). Regular SBG observations of comets and asteroids (mostly near-Earth and potentially hazardous ones) have been performed since 2007. Coordinates of 8515 positions of 720 asteroids and more than 1000 positions of 40 comets were obtained. The RMS deviations of observed coordinates from their calculated values are typically smaller than 1”: the average deviations for asteroids are 0.33” (in right ascension) and 0.34” (in declination); the corresponding values for comets are 0.37” (in α) and 0.38” (in δ). The results of observations are sent to the Minor Planet Center and are used to determine orbits more accurately and solve other fundamental and applied problems. 相似文献

The processing of the plates of the Kitab part of the FON project has been completed. In total, 1963 plates were processed. The catalog of equatorial coordinates α, δ, and B-magnitudes for 13 413268 stars and galaxies up to B ≤ 17.5 m for the epoch 1984.97 is compiled. The Epson Expression 10000XL scanner with a 1200 dpi scanning mode and a plate size of 30 × 30 cm or 13000 × 13000 pel was used to digitize astronegatives. Coordinates of stars and galaxies are obtained in the Tycho-2 catalog system and B-magnitudes are obtained in the photovoltaic system. The catalog internal accuracy for all objects is σα,δ = 0.23" and σ B = 0.15 m (for stars in the range B = 5 m …14 m , errors are σα,δ = 0.085" and σ B = 0.054 m ) for equatorial coordinates and stellar B-magnitudes, respectively. Convergence between the calculated and reference positions is σα,δ = 0.042", and convergence between photoelectric B-magnitudes is σ B = 0.16 m . Based on the results of analyzing the characteristics of currents and temperature measured in the water space of the Mamala
Bay (the Island of Oahu, Hawaii), we investigate the main properties of the field of short-period internal waves, which is
very complex. We focus on analyzing the spectral characteristics and orbit parameters for waves with a period of 20 minutes.
The results of investigations reveal two types of short-period internal waves for this area: intense and fast waves propagating
predominantly toward the ocean and weaker and slower waves propagating mainly toward the coast. Suppositions are made on how
these waves form: the strong and fast waves are likely to be caused by the decay of locally generated internal tides near
the shelf edge, while the weak and slow and very short waves seem to result from the specific interaction between the pycnocline

An integral description of the propagation of steady-state perturbations of the heavy liquid surface
The system of equations of motion describing the gravity wave propagation in a perfect heavy liquid layer is transformed into
a new integral equation for the free surface elevations. In the limit cases, this integral equation describes the linear and
nonlinear periodic waves as well as the known types of solitary waves. In this case a dispersion equation arises because perturbations
of the second and higher orders of smallness are neglected. The integral equation allows for the propagation of invariable
surface perturbations of arbitrary forms if their spatial spectrum is concentrated near small wave numbers (compared to the

Seiche oscillations of the Azov Sea level are studied on the basis of the developed two-dimensional numerical hydrodynamic
model grounded on the shallow water theory and recent data on the morphometric characteristics of the Sea of Azov. Frequency
and spatial characteristics of the first five modes corresponding to seiche oscillations of the Azov Sea level are computed.
It is shown that the frequency and spatial characteristics of the first five modes obtained for the Sea of Azov level changes
correspond to seiche oscillations. The calculated parameters are compared with the field observations, which show their realistic
