Closure quantities measured by very-long-baseline interferometry (VLBI) observations are independent of instrumental and propagation instabilities and antenna gain factors, but are sensitive to source structure. A new method is proposed to calculate a structure index based on the median values of closure quantities rather than the brightness distribution of a source. The results are comparable to structure indices based on imaging observations at other epochs and demonstrate the flexibility of deriving structure indices from exactly the same observations as used for geodetic analysis and without imaging analysis. A three-component model for the structure of source 3C371 is developed by model-fitting closure phases. It provides a real case of tracing how the structure effect identified by closure phases in the same observations as the delay observables affects the geodetic analysis, and investigating which geodetic parameters are corrupted to what extent by the structure effect. Using the resulting structure correction based on the three-component model of source 3C371, two solutions, with and without correcting the structure effect, are made. With corrections, the overall rms of this source is reduced by 1 ps, and the impacts of the structure effect introduced by this single source are up to 1.4 mm on station positions and up to 4.4 microarcseconds on Earth orientation parameters. This study is considered as a starting point for handling the source structure effect on geodetic VLBI from geodetic sessions themselves.  相似文献

  The diffusivity of water has been investigated for a haplogranitic melt of anhydrous composition Qz28Ab38Or34 (in wt %) at temperatures of 800–1200°C and at pressures of 0.5–5.0 kbar using the diffusion couple technique. Water contents of the starting glass pairs varied between 0 and 9 wt %. Concentration-distance profiles for the different water species (molecular water and hydroxyl groups) were determined by near-infrared microspectroscopy. Because the water speciation of the melt is not quenchable (Nowak 1995; Nowak and Behrens 1995; Shen and Keppler 1995), the diffusivities of the individual species can not be evaluated directly from these profiles. Therefore, apparent chemical diffusion coefficients of water (D water) were determined from the total water profiles using a modified Boltzmann-Matano analysis. The diffusivity of water increases linearly with water content <3 wt % but exponentially at higher water contents. The activation energy decreases from 64 ± 10 kJ/mole for 0.5 wt % water to 46 ± 5 kJ/mole for 4 wt % water but remains constant at higher water contents. A small but systematic decrease of D water with pressure indicates an average activation volume of about 9 cm3/mole. in the ranges 1073 K ≤ T ≤ 1473 K; 0.5 kbar ≤ P≤ 5␣kbar; 0.5 wt % ≤ C water ≤ 6 wt %. The absence of alkali concentration gradients in the glasses after the experiments shows that interdiffusion of alkali and H+ or H3O+ gives no contribution to the transport of water in aluminosilicate melts. The H/D interdiffusion coefficients obtained at 800°C and 5 kbar using glass pieces with almost the same molar content of either water or deuterium oxide are almost identical to the chemical diffusivities of water. In the northern Wadden Sea, the extent of intertidal seagrass beds, their plant biomass and shoot density highly depends on local current regimes. This study deals with the role of intertidal Zostera noltii beds as nursery for mobile epibenthic macrofauna and the impact of seagrass bed characteristics on their abundance and distribution patterns. According to their exposure to the main tidal gullies, sampling sites were separated into exposed, semi-exposed and sheltered. Dominant species of crustaceans and demersal fish were studied in respect of their abundances within seagrass beds and adjacent unvegetated areas. Quantitative sampling was performed at day and night high tide using a portable drop trap. In general, species composition varied little between seagrass beds and bare sand. However, the presence of vegetation had a quantitative effect increasing individual numbers of common epifaunal species. Abundances of 0-group shore crabs (Carcinus maenas), common gobies (Pomatoschistus microps) and brown shrimps (Crangon crangon) were highest within sheltered seagrass beds. With decreasing plant density habitat preference of epibenthos changed on species level. By regulating the habitat complexity the currents regime is profoundly influencing the nursery function of intertidal seagrass beds in the Wadden Sea.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Bei den während der letzten Jahre ausgeführten Messungen der Ionenkonzentrationen in der bodennahen Luftschicht am Institut für Hochspannungsforschung der Universität Uppsala ergaben sich mehrere Arten von zeitlichen Variationen des Ionengehaltes, die mit Änderungen der gewöhnlichen meteorologischen Faktoren, nicht erklärt werden können. Es werden solche Variationen während Gewitterschauern und während klarer stiller Sommernächte beschrieben und zu deuten versucht. Die nächtliche Ionenzunahme in Bodennähe wird mit der Ansammlung, von Emanation in der bodennahen Luftschicht in Verbindung gebracht.
Summary Measurements of ion concentrations in the layers of air near the ground carried out during the past years at the Institute of High Tension Research of Uppsala University indicate that there are certain time variations of the ion content which cannot be explained by the variations of the usual meteorological parameters. This article describes variations during thunderstorm showers and on clear calm summer nights. It may be proposed that the ion content variations in the latter case is due to the accumulation of emanation in the layer of air near the ground.

Résumé Les mesures de concentration d'ions au voisinage du sol effectuées ces dernières années à l'Institut des Recherches à Hautes Tensions de l'Université d'Uppsala ont montré que la teneur en ions varie de plusieurs façons avec le temps sans que l'on puisse mettre en cause les facteurs météorologiques ordinaires. On décrit de telles variations pendant des averses orageuses et pendant des nuits claires d'été, et on cherche à les expliquer. L'accroissement nocturne de la teneur en ions au voisinage du sol est mis en parallèle avec la concentration croissante de l'émanation dans ces couches basses de l'air.
