Geostatistical models should be checked to ensure consistency with conditioning data and statistical inputs. These are minimum
acceptance criteria. Often the first and second-order statistics such as the histogram and variogram of simulated geological
realizations are compared to the input parameters to check the reasonableness of the simulation implementation. Assessing
the reproduction of statistics beyond second-order is often not considered because the “correct” higher order statistics are
rarely known. With multiple point simulation (MPS) geostatistical methods, practitioners are now explicitly modeling higher-order
statistics taken from a training image (TI). This article explores methods for extending minimum acceptance criteria to multiple
point statistical comparisons between geostatistical realizations made with MPS algorithms and the associated TI. The intent
is to assess how well the geostatistical models have reproduced the input statistics of the TI; akin to assessing the histogram
and variogram reproduction in traditional semivariogram-based geostatistics. A number of metrics are presented to compare
the input multiple point statistics of the TI with the statistics of the geostatistical realizations. These metrics are (1)
first and second-order statistics, (2) trends, (3) the multiscale histogram, (4) the multiple point density function, and
(5) the missing bins in the multiple point density function. A case study using MPS realizations is presented to demonstrate
the proposed metrics; however, the metrics are not limited to specific MPS realizations. Comparisons could be made between
any reference numerical analogue model and any simulated categorical variable model. 相似文献

The frequency of nuisance algal blooms has been increasing during the last two decades in the shallow, headwater East Pond
(Smithfield, Maine, USA). Meanwhile, the hydrologically linked North Pond has not experienced an increase in algal blooms,
despite similar morphometry and higher external nutrient loads. Possible explanations for this difference include stronger
trophic cascade effects from planktivorous white perch (Morone americana) in East Pond as well as differences in phosphorus (P) release from the sediments of these two lakes. We conducted a paleolimnological
investigation of these two lakes to assess whether sedimentary evidence supported trophic cascade effects based on cladoceran
ephippia size, diatom fossils, and fossil pigments or biogeochemical controls based on potential sedimentary P release as
the primary driver of these increased algal blooms in East Pond. At the time of white perch introduction (~1930–1950), ephippia
size increases in East Pond, although no changes are observed in either diatom abundance or trends in the algal pigments.
Instead, algal pigments increase in recent decades (~1980 to present) along with an increase in diatom taxa with higher TP
optima These results suggest that predation by white perch is not resulting in top-down effects on algal abundance in East
Pond, as predicted by the trophic cascade hypothesis. While the P content of sediments from both lakes is relatively equal,
the releasable P in the top 10 cm of sediment in East Pond constitutes a greater percentage of the P extracted. Also, North
Pond sediments exhibit a greater capacity to permanently bury P via the mechanisms of sorption to Al(OH)3(s) and a slower mineralization of organic P compounds. The results of this investigation suggest that the ultimate driver of
the recent algal blooms in East Pond is internal P release from the sediments instead of trophic cascade effects. 相似文献

Strategic transformation of regionalization for agricultural comprehensive development (ACD) was presented by the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China (MOF) in 2014. The regionalization is the premise and basis of the sustainable development and improved competitiveness for agriculture. Based on the environmental resources related to agriculture, such as cropland, climate, water resources, terrain, geomorphology, patterns of the ACD projects, distribution of ecological planning, etc., we devised 13 indices using the geographic comprehensive regionalization method. The indices took into account a combination of dynamic and static, qualitative and quantitative, as well as agricultural and ecological factors. The strategic transformation of regionalization for the ACD in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China was performed; seven types were included: prioritized regions, prioritized and restricted regions, protected regions, protected and restricted regions, restricted and prioritized regions, restricted and protected regions, and restricted regions. A further 24 subtypes were used based on locations and ecological zones. The regionalization results showed that prioritized regions were mainly in northern Ningxia, the most suitable area for agriculture. The protected and restricted regions were in central and southern Ningxia. In the central part, drought was the limiting factor for agriculture, and water conservation projects there should be supported. The ecological environment is fragile in southern Ningxia, so there is a need for ecologically sound agriculture to be developed in this region. Such regionalization could achieve two goals, namely agricultural conservation and eco-environmental protection. It was performed following the requirement for scientific regionalization to include three types of regions (prioritized regions, protected regions, and restricted regions), and was applied at the township scale in a provincial or autonomous region for the first time. The results provide both guidance for the strategic transformation of the ACD in Ningxia, and a reference for similar work in other provinces. 相似文献

A fuzzy relation analysis method is used to derive weights for qualitative variables based on their partial order relations. Two asymmetric measure indexes (incidence coefficient and probability difference) are proposed to measure the asymmetric associations between geoscience variables from which the partial order relations can be constructed. The fuzzy relation analysis method can be implemented in combination with the asymmetric measure indexes leading to new methods for pattern overlay and data integration in mineral potential prediction. Two types of models are proposed and illustrated by two artificial examples: one for predicting targets for undiscovered deposits, and the other for estimating the mineral resource potential of the targets. 相似文献

Two single-channel seismic (SCS) data sets collected in 2000 and 2005 were used for a four-dimensional (4D) time-lapse analysis
of an active cold vent (Bullseye Vent). The data set acquired in 2000 serves as a reference in the applied processing sequence.
The 4D processing sequence utilizes time- and phase-matching, gain adjustments and shaping filters to transform the 2005 data
set so that it is most comparable to the conditions under which the 2000 data were acquired. The cold vent is characterized
by seismic blanking, which is a result of the presence of gas hydrate in the subsurface either within coarser-grained turbidite
sands or in fractures, as well as free gas trapped in these fracture systems. The area of blanking was defined using the seismic
attributes instantaneous amplitude and similarity. Several areas were identified where blanking was reduced in 2005 relative
to 2000. But most of the centre of Bullseye Vent and the area around it were seen to be characterized by intensified blanking
in 2005. Tracing these areas of intensified blanking through the three-dimensional (3D) seismic volume defined several apparent
new flow pathways that were not seen in the 2000 data, which are interpreted as newly generated fractures/faults for upward
fluid migration. Intensified blanking is interpreted as a result of new formation of gas hydrate in the subsurface along new
fracture pathways. Areas with reduced blanking may be zones where formerly plugged fractures that had trapped some free gas

临河至策克规划铁路沿途经过著名的巴丹吉林、乌兰布和两大沙漠。在沙漠地区修建铁路,一方面沙漠地区的自然条件十分恶劣,同时又有一些有利因素,如地形开阔、坡度平缓、河流稀少、不占农田等。在铁路规划初步选线过程中,依据修建风沙地区铁路工程的实践经验,以及风沙地区铁路选线设计原则,绕避对铁路危害较大的戈壁风沙流、大风区风沙流及高大流动沙丘,使铁路沙害减轻到最小程度。鉴于本线建成初期的运营状况,在保证运营安全的前提下,减少初期投资,待铁路建成运营后,结合我国沙漠综合治理措施,在工程治沙防护的基础上,分步骤实施植物固沙,从根本上解决铁路沙害问题。 相似文献

Taking the Chaohe River Basin above the Miyun Reservoir in North China as a study area, the characteristics and variation
trends of annual runoff and annual precipitation during 1961–2005 were analyzed applying Mann-Kendall test method on the basis
of the hydrologic data of the major hydrological station (Xiahui Station) located at the outlet of the drainage basin and
the meteorological data of 17 rainfall stations. Human activities including water conservancy projects construction and water
diversion as well as implementation of soil and water conservation from 1961 to 2005 were carefully studied using time series
contrasting method. The referenced period (1961–1980) that influenced slightly by human activities and the compared period
(1981–2005) that influenced significantly by water conservancy and soil conservation measures were identified according to
the runoff variation process analysis and abrupt change points detection during 1961–2005 applying double accumulative curve
method, mean shift t-test method and Mann-Kendall mutation test technique. Based on the establishment of a rainfall-runoff
empirical statistical model, impacts and the runoff-reducing effects of water conservancy and soil conservation measures on
runoff reduction were evaluated quantitatively. The major results could be summarized as follows: (1) The annual precipitation
in the drainage basin tends to decrease while the runoff has declined markedly since the 1960s, the average annual runoff
from 1991 to 2000 was only 90.9% in proportion to that from 1961 to 1970. (2) The annual runoff variations in the drainage
basin are significantly related to human activities. (3) During 1981–1990, 1991–2000, 2001–2005 and 1981–2005, the average
annual runoff reduction amounts were 1.15×108, 0.28×108, 1.10×108 and 0.79×108 m3 respectively and the average annual runoff-reducing effects were 31.99%, 7.13%, 40.71% and 23.79% accordingly. Runoff-reducing
effects by water conservancy and soil conservation measures are more prominent in the low water period. 相似文献

In this study, we attempt to put forward a conception of landscape ecological niche, enlightened by international scholars on extending the ecological niche theory from spatial niche to functional niche. That is helpful for comprehensively appraising landscape spatial patterns and ecological functions, also, presents a new method for analyzing landscape features from multidimensional aspects. The practice process is demonstrated by taking Yan'an region in northwestern China as a case. Firstly, the indices system including spatial attribute and functional attribute is established for assessing landscape ecological niche. Additionally, two-dimensional figures are drawn for comparing the spatio-temporal features of landscape ecological niche in 1987 and 2000 among the 13 administrative counties. The results show that from 1987 to 2000, towards Yan'an region, spatial attribute value of landscape ecological niche changes from 1.000 to 1.178 with an obvious increment, and functional attribute value changes from 0.989 to 1.069 with a little increment, both of which enhance the regional landscape ecological niche. Towards each county, spatial attribute value of landscape ecological niche increases to different extent while functional attribute value changes dissimilarly with an increment or a decrement. 相似文献

研究城市大规模人群对疫情的情感响应时空特征,对于安抚人们情感状态以及优化防控措施具有重要意义。该文以带有地理标签的新浪微博数据为主要数据源,结合实地调查问卷,提出疫情场景下城市用户群体多维情感响应时空特征分析框架,该框架重点构建了城市用户群体对于疫情的多维情感强度的精确评估方法;在此基础上,分析疫情情感响应在时空维度上的变化特征,解析情感响应的显著影响因子。研究结果表明:1)该文提出的疫情情感响应评估方法,可准确量化疫情场景下城市群体多维情感响应强度;2)疫情防控期间政府采取的防控措施能够有效安抚城市群体愤怒、恐惧等负面情感;3)喜悦情感是疫情防控期间城市群体情感响应的主体情感;4)面对疫情再次发生,城市群体负面情感强度上升幅度会显著下降。该研究可为政府部门增强疫情情感监测能力、提升情感治理水平提供方法参考和决策依据。 相似文献
