We investigated the sedimentary record of Lake Hańcza (northeastern Poland) using a multi‐proxy approach, focusing on early to mid‐Holocene climatic and environmental changes. AMS 14C dating of terrestrial macrofossils and sedimentation rate estimates from occasional varve thickness measurements were used to establish a chronology. The onset of the Holocene at c. 11 600 cal. a BP is marked by the decline of Lateglacial shrub vegetation and a shift from clastic‐detrital deposition to an autochthonous sedimentation dominated by biochemical calcite precipitation. Between 10 000 and 9000 cal. a BP, a further environmental and climatic improvement is indicated by the spread of deciduous forests, an increase in lake organic matter and a 1.7‰ rise in the oxygen isotope ratios of both endogenic calcite and ostracod valves. Rising δ18O values were probably caused by a combination of hydrological and climatic factors. The persistence of relatively cold and dry climate conditions in northeastern Poland during the first one and a half millennia of the Holocene could be related to a regional eastern European atmospheric circulation pattern. Prevailing anticyclonic circulation linked to a high‐pressure cell above the retreating Scandinavian Ice Sheet might have blocked the influence of warm and moist Westerlies and attenuated the early Holocene climatic amelioration in the Lake Hańcza region until the final decay of the ice sheet.  相似文献

ISSN 0300‐9843 Cellulose‐inferred lakewater oxygen‐isotope records have been obtained from two hydrologically open basins (Lake Spåime and Lake Svartkälstjärn), located on a west–east transect across central Sweden, to investigate changes in atmospheric circulation patterns during the Holocene. The Lake Spåime δ18O record is sensitive to changes in the seasonal distribution of precipitation in the Scandes Mountains of west‐central Sweden, and thus generally portrays variations in δ18O of precipitation (δ18OP) that are governed predominantly by the influence of air masses originating from the North Atlantic. In contrast, the Lake Svartkälstjärn δ18O record appears to reflect the varying influence of air masses delivering moisture from the North Atlantic and the Baltic Sea. A comparison of inferred changes in δ18OP over the Holocene between the two sites reveals systematic patterns of variability over widely different time scales. These include: (1) a previously recognized long‐term regional decline in δ18OP, possibly in response to the declining vigour of Northern Hemisphere atmospheric circulation related to decreasing summer solar insolation; (2) newly identified inverse centennial‐ to millennial‐scale δ18OP fluctuations at the two sites that may be linked to changes in modes of atmospheric circulation analogous to those described at interannual to multidecadal time scales by the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) index; and (3) a prolonged interval of apparent climatic stability in the mid‐Holocene (c. 6300–4200 cal. yr BP) characterized by persistently negative NAO‐like circulation.  相似文献

Melt Generation and Movement beneath Theistareykir, NE Iceland   总被引:2,自引:5,他引:2  
A detailed study of the volume and composition of all the lavasfrom the Theistareykir segment of the Northern Volcanic Zoneof Iceland was designed to study basaltic melt generation andmovement beneath a spreading ridge. The trace element compositionsof the lavas are variable, and those of melt inclusions in olivine,clinopyroxene and plagioclase phenocrysts even more so. We showthat this variability can be produced by mixing instantaneousmelts produced by isentropic decompression of mantle whose initialpotential temperature is 1480°C, and that the calculatedvolume and composition of the average melt is consistent withgeophysical and petrological observations. Pressure and temperatureestimates suggest that the phenocrysts form in the upper mantle,at depths of 30–40 km, and trap melts formed at greaterdepths. Some mixing of the instantaneous melts occurs beforethe melt is trapped, and more mixing occurs before the lavasare erupted. A similar model can account for the compositionof melt inclusions from the FAMOUS area of the Mid-AtlanticRidge, and from the Gorda and Juan de Fuca Ridges. 为研究大陆中下地壳高导层成因及与物质组成之间的关系,用模拟实验的方法在不同的温度、压力条件下分别测定了干的和1mol/LNaCl溶液饱和的榴辉岩的电导率.结果表明,干榴辉岩平行线理方向的电导率比垂直于线理方向的高,但两个方向上的活化能相近.在中下地壳条件下,干榴辉岩的电导率比中下地壳高导层电导率值低几个数量级.常温下1mol/LNaCl溶液饱和的榴辉岩两个方向上的电导率对压力具有不同的依赖性;在中下地壳条件下,1mol/LNaCl溶液饱和的榴辉岩的电导率可达到一般高导层的电导率值.无论干的还是饱和的榴辉岩都不能解释大别山20-50km深处的高导层成因,因此,在该深度范围内榴辉岩不可能是主要的岩石组成.  相似文献

利用秦岭─大别造山带及其毗邻地区310个地震台站记录到的区域地震23600条P波到时数据,重建了该区地壳和上地幔三维速度图像。结果表明:1.秦岭─大别造山带及其毗邻地区地壳和上地幔存在显著的横向不均匀性,直至110km深度处依然明显。2.地壳上部的速度图像与地表地质构造密切相关:造山带隆起区显著高速;盆地及坳陷区明显低速。由速度鲜明对比勾勒出的秦岭─大别造山带南界基本上位于扬子北缘主边断裂带上。3.中地壳的速度图像表明,造山带内部的一些低速区对应于一些大型推覆构造。4.40+0km深度处的速度图像反映了该区莫霍界面深度的起伏。大致以107°E为界,以东地区地壳厚度小于40km,以西地区大于40km,且呈现出往西地壳逐渐加厚的趋势。5.位于滦川、商县、丹凤的北秦岭构造带,上地幔顶部出现低速异常,异常速度值约为7.39-7.55km/s。结合地球物理测深的结果,可能是由下地壳、上地幔顶部的热过程所致。  相似文献

由于长大隧道建设期间具有显著地集水廊道效应,施工过程中地下水不断向隧道轴线汇集,进而诱发一系列的水文 地质灾害,给施工人员和隧址区周边的生态环境带来不可估量的损失。为此,在构建山区公路隧道建设对地下水环境扰动 评价体系的基础上,考虑到群决策不同个体实践认知水平的差异,把基于决策人员偏好信息的区间数层次分析模型用于山 区公路隧道建设对地下水的环境影响评价领域,并与模糊综合评判法进行有机结合,对西藏米拉山特长隧道建设对地下水 环境影响进行评价,结果表明,米拉山特长公路隧道建设对地下水的扰动程度属于一般水平。依据评价结果,采取了相 应的工程措施,实现了隧道建设与隧址区环境保护的协调统一,可为类似地区隧道建设的地下水环评工作提供有益的 参考。  相似文献

利用1986-1993年发生在京津唐地区的2516个地震的21927个S波到时进行层析成像,得出:(1)公元1000年以来研究区强震震中在下地壳的投影大多分布在低速块体内或低速块体与高速块体相交地带偏低速块体的一侧;(2)唐山地震震源下方的物质,波速比Vp/Vs呈现高值,推测呈部分熔融状态,有热物质流从莫霍界面的下方沿通向震源下方的断裂入侵的迹象。(3)黄骅坳陷中心区的上地壳呈现低Vp/Vs值,推测那里为水-汽转变的地热系,这与在该地区所测量的高热流值一致。冀中坳陷区的高Vp/Vs值反映出其地下物质可能呈部分熔融状态。  相似文献

The equations governing the movement of the melt and the matrixof a partially molten material are obtained from the conservationof mass, momentum, and energy using expressions from the theoryof mixtures. The equations define a length scale c called thecompaction length, which depends only on the material propertiesof the melt and matrix. A number of simple solutions to theequations show that, if the porosity is initially constant,matrix compaction only occurs within a distance c of an impermeableboundary. Elsewhere the gravitational forces are supported bythe viscous stresses resulting from the movement of melt, andno compaction occurs. The velocity necessary to prevent compactionis known as the minimum fluidization velocity. In all casesthe compaction rate is controlled by the properties of the matrix.These results can only be applied to geological problems ifthe values of the permeability, bulk and shear viscosity ofthe matrix can be estimated. All three depend on the microscopicgeometry of the melt, which is in turn controlled by the dihedralangle. The likely equilibrium network provides some guidancein estimating the order of magnitude of these constants, butis no substitute for good measurements, which are yet to becarried out. Partial melting by release of pressure at constantentropy is then examined as a means of produced melt withinthe earth. The principal results of geological interest are that a meanmantle temperature of 1350?C is capable of producing the oceaniccrustal thickness by partial melting. Local hot jets with temperaturesof 1550?C can produce aseismic ridges with crustal thicknessesof about 20 km on ridge axes, and can generate enough melt toproduce the Hawaiian Ridge. Higher mantle temperatures in theArchaean can produce komatiites if these are the result of modestamounts of melting at depths of greater than 100 km, and notshallow melting of most of the rock. The compaction rate ofthe partially molten rock is likely to be rapid, and melt-saturatedporosities in excess of perhaps 3 per cent are unlikely to persistanywhere over geological times. The movement of melt througha matrix does not transport major and trace elements with themean velocity of the melt, but with a slower velocity whosemagnitude depends on the distribution coefficient. This effectis particularly important when the melt fraction is small, andmay both explain some geochemical observations and provide ameans of investigating the compaction process within the earth.  相似文献

以露头尺度构造现象、物探成果图件、模型模拟实验及国内外有关文献资料为依据,探讨了由非同沉积断裂活动导致的、发生在邻断裂场所的岩层厚度变化的现象及规律。其表现特征为:在正断层作用下,上盘岩层发生增厚,下盘岩层出现减薄;在逆断层作用下,出现的情况正好相反;平移或走滑断层则在"滑向端"和"滑离端"分别出现增厚及减薄现象。该认识对石油、工程和找矿部门具有实际指导作用,对构造地质学的理论研究具有深化认识的意义。   相似文献
