This paper deals with bacterial leaching of copper dust emanating from furnaces at Sarcheshmeh copper complex. Regarding the considerable amount of acid leachable copper, a sulphuric acid leaching process was performed prior to bacterial leaching. Some shake flask and then bioreactor tests were conducted using a mixed culture of Acidithiobacilli and the effect of significant parameters such as culture medium, pulp density and bacterial inoculation rate were investigated. By increasing the pulp density because of higher toxicity and shear stress much more microorganisms and richer nutrient medium were needed. Favoured conditions that governed the agitated bioreactors caused a remarkable promotion in metal dissolution rate in comparison with shake flask. Copper recovery by bacterial leaching in shaking flasks and chemical leaching after 22 d were 87% and 38%, respectively. At the same condition, the maximum copper recovery in bioreactor was 91% within 6.5 d.  相似文献

The Mesozoic Bazman granitoids are located in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran. Geology of the study area consists of Carboniferous shale, sandstone, and limestone and Permian siltstone, shale, sandstone, limestone, and dolomite that were intruded by the Bazman granitoids. These granitoids include various phases of granite, granodiorite, quartz‐monzodiorite, monzodiorite, diorite, and gabbro. They are metaluminous to slightly peraluminous, reduced, calc‐alkaline and I‐type, and display geochemical characteristics of continental margin (ensialic) granitoids. In this paper, field, petrography, and geochemical data were used to discriminate the Bazman granitoids either as productive or barren granitoids. Although there are a few skarn‐related mineral occurrences adjacent to the Bazman granitoids, most exposed intrusions are not hydrothermally altered and mineralized. Rb/Sr, Zr/Hf, and K/Rb ratios indicate that the granitic magmas that formed most of the Bazman granitoids indicate that they are moderately evolved and have generally not undergone post‐magmatic hydrothermal activity. The Sm/Eu and Rb/Ba ratios and the concentrations of Rb, Ba, and Sr within the aforementioned granitoids show that the rocks are similar to the averages of granitoids devoid of Li, Be, U, Sn, W, and Ta deposits. The I‐type arc characteristics and other geochemical features of the Bazman granitoids show that they are not typical of parental magmas to Sn, W, Mo, and Zn mineralization, but are mainly fertile for Cu and Fe (Au) skarn‐related granitoids.  相似文献

This study aimed to investigate the population of annelida communities in relation to environmental factors and heavy metals accumulated in sediments of the Gorgan Bay. The pollution load index and potential ecological risk (PER) were calculated. The results indicated mean concentrations (ppm) of heavy metals were (mean ± SD) Pb: 11.5 ± 4.88, Cu: 18 ± 8.83, Zn: 42 ± 22.15, Ni: 29.20 ± 14.68, Co: 10.56 ± 14.68, As: 7.77 ± 2.12, Sr: 1,449 ± 902.59 and V: 26.64 ± 10.25. Considering PER, sediments of the Gorgan Bay had low ecological risk. Based on abundance data, dominant species were Streblospio gynobranchiata, Nereis diversicolor, Tubificoides fraseri and Tubificidae unknown, respectively. Results of redundancy analysis displayed that T. fraseri and N. diversicolor were associated with high values of Sr. All the species were negatively correlated with As. There were positive correlation between S. gynobranchiata and N. diversicolor with values of clay, salinity, depth and silt. The present study provided the relative importance of heavy metals and environmental variables which partly assist in structuring assemblages of annelida in a transitional area.  相似文献

Analyzing groundwater hydrologic equations related to karstic aquifers and spring hydrograph simulation have become the focus of many researches. Having double or triple porosity structure, mixed flow nature, and varying conduit permeability have made these formations become complex heterogenic systems with great temporal and spatial hydrodynamic variability. In this paper, a conditional sequential gaussian simulation (SGS) is used to simulate monthly flow data of five karstic springs with different hydrogeological properties, located in Zagros Mountain Chain, in western Iran. To evaluate the performance of the SGS algorithm, the results are compared with those of an autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model. The results demonstrate the efficiency of the SGS model in simulation of monthly flows compared to the ARIMA model. They also show the suitability of this model for handling uncertainty associated with karstic spring flows through generation of several equally probable stochastic realizations.  相似文献

In the recent earthquakes, numerous cases of liquefaction occurred in sands containing both plastic and nonplastic fines that resulted in significant damage. Most previous research efforts have focused on clean sands regardless whether the sand contain fines or not made evident by widespread shallow foundation failures, numerous cases of settlement, and lateral displacement. Still, despite the amount of related research, results seem somewhat contradictory. This study directly demonstrates the beneficial or detrimental effect of uncertainty surcharges on seismic responses. Models were subjected to two destructive realistic events with similar PGA with various frequency contents and duration. In this paper, the dynamic analyses were conducted as fully non-linear elasto-plastic coupled stress-flow analyses with coupled liquefaction triggering which reasonably captured the actual behavior. The silty sand deposits underlying the surcharge are capable of liquefying and developing large shear deformations that can cause serious damage. Therefore, excess pore water pressure ratio cannot be enough by itself to evaluate liquefaction potential, so the deformations should be examined. Numerical results provide an estimate of the seismic performance liquefiable deposits underlying the surcharge; these results can be useful for a realistic practical engineering.  相似文献

In most large and fast growing urban areas, finding suitable lands for construction of landfill is one of the serious problems in environmental management. Land fill site selection process depends on different factors, regulations and constraints. Ignoring each of these parameters may cause miscalculations and lead to selection of an inappropriate landfill site which could have negative environmental, economical, and ecological impacts. Therefore, this process must be accomplished by taking into account all of the related criterions and variables. In this study, landfill site selection is performed by combining geographic information system (GIS) and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) in Hamedan province, west of Iran. In relation to landfill site selection, ten different criteria including Geology, surface water, aquifer, land use, elevation, slope, and distance to main roads, residential areas, faults and sinkholes were investigated. Using AHP each criterion was weighted, then geographic information system (Arc GIS 9.3 software) was used to manipulate and present spatial data. Finally, suitability map was prepared by overlay analyses and most suitable and suitable areas were identified and checked in field. The results indicate that 60.4 % of the area in the Hamedan province (11,631 km2) is unsuitable, 33 % (6,257.7 km2) moderately suitable and 6.6 % (1,344 km2) most suitable for construction of landfill.  相似文献

The magnitude of clamping forces has a significant influence on the estimated ultimate pullout force of a block. The Crawford–Bray equation, which is fundamental in considering clamping forces, is only a function of horizontal stress and block height. Further research to incorporate the influence of induced stress in block stability analysis was considered, but all the previous analytical solutions for analyzing block stability assume a continuum medium to estimate clamping forces and do not allow joint deformations to occur before block movement due to gravity. Assuming a continuous medium to estimate clamping forces leads to an overestimation of block stability and therefore unsafe design. In this paper, an attempt has been made to deepen the understanding of the block failure mechanism and correct the estimated magnitude of clamping forces in a discontinuous medium. A conceptual model is proposed based on the loading–unloading of the block from an in‐situ state to failure. Based on this model, an analytical solution has been developed that calculates clamping forces in a discontinuous medium. The validity and model uncertainty of the solution were checked for different conditions. In this work, accumulation of cosmogenic radionuclide 7Be in seven species of lichens was determined using HPGe detectors in autumn season. Ramsar city which is located in the north of Iran as one of the high-level natural radiation areas in the world was considered. Lichen species represented good potential in accumulation of 7Be radionuclide. The foliose species of Xanthoria parietina with the highest activity concentration value of 112.8 ± 1.8 Bq kg?1 was introduced as bioindicator for accumulation of 7Be radionuclide. Cladonia rangiformis species has got minimum concentration of 64.5 ± 0.8 Bq kg?1. Also from thallus morphology viewpoint, results showed that 7Be accumulation in foliose species is higher than in fruticose and crustose lichens species. Also there was relatively large positive correlation between 7Be and 226Ra activity concentrations in lichens species.  相似文献

Cu–Ni–Co–As–U mineralization in the Anarak area of central Iran occurs at the intersection of the Uroumieh-Dokhtar magmatic belt with the Great Kavir–Doruneh fault. In the area, the volcanism associated with the magmatic belt is shoshonitic in character. Chemical analyses indicate that these are subduction related magmas. Detailed investigations in the vicinity of the Talmessi mine indicate that mineralization occurred in two separate stages: a first stage of copper sulphide mineralization with a relatively simple mineralogy and associated with the Eocene magmatism, and a second stage of Cu–Ni–Co–As–U mineralization with a complex mineralogy, which probably formed during another phase of deformation in the Upper Miocene. This later deformation reactivated previously formed faults. The mineralogy, element association and isotopic composition of carbonates for the second phase of mineralization suggest a different origin to that of the first phase. The fluids are likely to be non-magmatic in origin, possibly showing an increased input from meteoric waters. The close spatial association with basic/ultrabasic igneous rocks indicates that these may be the source through alteration and remobilization. The arsenide mineralization in the Anarak area shows many features that are similar to those of the classic five-element deposits.  相似文献
