The study on the interrelation between sea-level changes and biodiversity with its evolution has great significance for understanding
the impact of global changes on organic evolution and exploring the inherent laws of life-environment coevolution in geological
history. In this paper, the stratigraphic distribution of fusulinacean fauna in the Carboniferous-Permian boundary section
at Xikou, Zhen’an County, Shaanxi Province, is analyzed quantitatively, and the relationship between the species diversity
of fusulinaceans and relative sea-level changes is discussed. As a whole, the species numbers of fusulinacean fauna experience
a rapid increase and an obvious decline in Xikou, Zhen’an County, from the Late Carboniferous to the Early Permian. There
is a significant increase in species diversity around the Carboniferous-Permian boundary, which is one of the biggest bio-events
of the fusulinacean fauna, and represents the radiation of Pseudoschwagerininae subfamily in the studied area. Integrated
fusulinacean species diversity into sequence stratigraphic framework, detailed study suggests that the species diversity of
the fusulinaceans is closely related to its relative stratigraphic location, and is essentially controlled by the sea-level
changes, especially by the high-frequency sea-level changes. Generally, the species diversity of fusulinaceans is low, and
the number of first and last appearance datum is small in the lower unit of high-frequency depositional cycle formed during
the quick rise of the sea level; whereas the species diversity of fusulinaceans is high, and the number of first and last
appearance datum is large in the upper unit of high-frequency cycle formed during the slow fall of the sea level. Within the
third-order depositional sequence, the species diversity of the fusulinaceans at the first flooding surfaces and the maximum
flooding surfaces is low, and it increases upward. The fusulinacean species diversity is low within the transgressive systems
track, and it is high within the highstand systems track. The second-order rise and fall in sea level coincide with the bloom

Samples of surface snow were collected for stable isotope analysis along the traverse route from Zhongshan to Dome A (East Antarctica) from Dec 28th, 2007 to Feb. 8th, 2008. The local relationship between δD and surface temperature is established to be 6.4 ± 0.2 ‰ per °C, very similar to the average for East Antarctic. The deuterium excess shows a pattern of high values over Antarctica, particularly at Dome A. We compare our data with an atmospheric general circulation model which includes stable water isotopes (ECHAM5-wiso). The model simulation captures the right levels of δD, but overestimates δ18O. In this paper,experiment results about East Asia climate from five CGCMs are described.The ability of the models to simulate present climate and the simulated response to increased carbon dioxide are both covered.The results indicate that all models show substantial changes in climate when carbon dioxide concentrations are doubled.In particular,the strong surface warming at high latitudes in winter and the significant increase of summer precipitation in the monsoon area are produced by all models.Regional evaluation results show that these five CGCMs are particularly good in simulating spatial distribution of present climate.The main characteristics of the seasonal mean H500,SAT,MSLP field can be simulated by most CGCMs.But there are significant systematic errors in SAT,MSLP,HS00 fields in most models.On the whole,DKRZ OPYC is the best in simulating the present climate in East Asia. 相似文献

Global large-scale urbanization and climate change have become indisputable scientific facts yet are unresolved issues, and are a common concern for mankind. The relationship between these two topics is unclear and it is not known how to deal appropriately at the scientific level with climate change in the process of urbanization. Further exploration of the science, management and practice, are needed to achieve global and regional sustainadevelopment. This paper first considers the basic facts concerning mass urbanization and climate change and summarizes the interactions and possible mechanisms of urbanization and climate change. Urbanization leads to the heat island effect, an uneven distribution of precipitation and extreme weather, together with a local-regional-global multi-scale superposition effect, which aggravates the consequences of global climate change. The impact of climate change on urbanization is mainly manifested in aspects such as changes of energy consumption, mortality, and the spread of infectious diseases, sea level rise, extreme weather damage to infrastructure, and water shortages. This paper also briefly reviews relevant international research programs and action coalitions and puts forward an analysis framework multi-dimensional sustainable urbanization which can adapt to and mitigate climate change, from the perspective of the four key dimensions—population, land use, economy, and society. It is imperative that we strengthen the interdisciplinary activities involving the natural and social sciences, take urbanization and other human activities into consideration of the land-atmosphere system, and explore the human-land-atmosphere coupling process. The adaptation and mitigation from the perspective of human activities, as represented by urbanization, might be the most critical and realistic way to deal with climate change. 相似文献
