中南半岛地区热力特征对南海季风爆发的可能影响及机理   总被引:10,自引:1,他引:10  
利用1998年5月1日-8月31日南海季风试验(SCSMX)产1980年1月-1995年12月NCEP/NCAR候平均再分析资料,分析1998年和多年平均情况下南海夏季风爆发期间中南半岛地区热力特征,揭示该地区热状况的异常与南海夏季风爆发之间的可能联系,从而讨论引起南海夏季风爆发的可能机制。结果发现,南海季风爆发前中南半岛附近地区存在较强的持续地面感知加热并具有显的低频振荡特征,低层大气在中南半岛地区出现较强的暖中心,由此导致局地强的水平温度梯度和位势高度梯度,有利于加强该地区的西南风。南海季风爆发前中南半岛地区低层出现较强的辐合风,高层出现较强的辐散风,这种低层强的辐合,高层强的辐射散配置有利于垂直运动的发展,降水的加强,进而触发南海季风的爆发。对多年平均资料的分析也证实了1998年南海季风爆发过程中所具有的特征,并进一步发现南海季风爆发前中南半岛地区850hPa温度是逐渐增加的,且增温幅度大于南海地区上空,由此加强了中南半岛与南海之间的温差。另外,比纬圈温度偏差和位势高度偏差的分析中发现,南海季风爆发期间南海和中南半岛地区的副高东撤与中南半岛地区的增温和孟加拉湾低槽的向东扩展有关。  相似文献

研究不同统计时段内降水量总体统计特征对于农业生产的合理布局、水资源的有效开发和利用以及大型水利工程的设计具有重要的指导意义,通过建立概率分布模式来研究一定时段内降水量总体统计分布特征不失为一条有效的途径。国外学者从50年代开始在此领域做了大量工作,提出了多种模型,得到了一些有意义的结论。与国外相比国内在这方面虽然做些工作,但还存在着一定的差距,所做的工作还不够深入全面,因此进一步开展降水量概率分布模式的理论和应用研究是十分必要的。为  相似文献

The temporal and spatial variations of the ten-day mean surface latent heat flux (TMLH) have been analyzed in this paper based on the data of NCEP from January of 1979 to December of 1995 in the South China Sea (SCS) monsoon region.It is found that there exist maximum centers of TMLH standard deviation in the northwest Indochina and the Indian Peninsula as well as the western Pacific,SCS,the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal,and their locations and strengths change significantly during the period of SCS monsoon onset.A positive zonal deviation of TMLH occurs first in the Indochina Peninsula,apparently earlier than that in the Indian Peninsula.The appearance of maximum positive zonal deviations of TMLH approximately coincides with the summer monsoon onset.Over the Indochina and Indian Peninsulas,the TMLH increases gradually with a small amplitude of variation before the onset of summer monsoon,and the rate of increase is significantly enhanced after the onset of the monsoon; whereas over the ocean,TMLH decreases before the monsoon onset,varies little during the period of monsoon and increases gradually after the ending of monsoon.Therefore,it seems that the surface latent heat flux plays an important role in the maintenance of the summer monsoon,and its variation is an phenomenon accompanying the onset of summer monsoon.  相似文献

全球变暖背景下,极端天气气候事件频发,并表现出群发性、持续性、复合性等特点,不可预测性增加;持续性强降水、极端低温、复合型极端高温干旱、群发性热浪和台风等极端天气气候事件对我国经济社会和可持续发展影响巨大。然而,上述极端天气气候事件的新特征、关键过程和机理尚不完全清楚,重大极端事件的预报预测水平亟待提升。文章首先简要介绍“地球系统与全球变化”重点专项项目“中国极端天气气候事件的形成机理及其预测和归因”的基本情况。项目拟在分析全球变化背景下对我国造成重大影响的极端天气气候事件新特征的基础上,深入研究多尺度海-陆-气耦合过程影响极端天气气候事件的机理,挖掘极端天气气候事件次季节-季节预测的前兆信号;发展动力与物理统计相结合的极端事件预测新方法,研制针对中国极端事件的新一代高分辨率数值预报与检测归因系统。文章重点总结了自2022年12月项目立项至今取得的最新研究成果和进展。  相似文献

In this study, the concurrent variation relationships between the East Asian subtropical jet (EASJ) and polar-front jet (PFJ) over the East Asian land mass in the winter season on different timescales are identified and the impacts of the jet concurrent variation patterns on the atmospheric circulation in mid–high latitude regions and climate anomalies in China are examined, using NCEP–NCAR reanalysis data and observational data. The major variability modes of the winter upper-level wind field on interannual timescales are characterized by the meridional shift of the PFJ and out-of-phase variation in the intensity of the subtropical jet and PFJ. On subseasonal and synoptic timescales, the concurrent variation relationships can be categorized into four configuration patterns: a strong (weak) subtropical jet accompanied by a weak (strong) PFJ, or a strong (weak) subtropical jet with a strong (weak) PFJ. The out-ofphase variation [i.e., a stronger (weaker) EASJ and weaker (stronger) PFJ] is found to be more common than the inphase variation [i.e., a stronger (weaker) EASJ and stronger (weaker) PFJ]. These concurrent variation relationships represent the integral structure and variation features of the atmospheric general circulation over East Asia, and have significant impacts on the weather and climate. The strong subtropical jet/weak PFJ (weak subtropical jet/strong PFJ) pattern leads to anomalous negative (positive) geopotential height in midlatitude regions and favors cold (warm) conditions, and positive (negative) rainfall anomalies in southern China. For both strong jet configurations, the geopotential height anomaly in the mid–high latitudes shows a northwest–southeast tilted dipole pattern, resulting in northern warm–southern cold temperature anomalies, and positive rainfall anomalies in southern China. For both weak jet situations, positive geopotential height anomalies dominate the East Asian area, and warm conditions occur over most areas in China, corresponding to less negative rainfall anomalies in southern China. The complicated rainfall and temperature anomaly patterns in China can be explained by the concurrent variation relationships between the two jets. A close relationship may exist between the synoptic-scale transient eddy activity (STEA) and the intensity of jet streams, especially for the PFJ. Significantly reduced (strengthened) STEA over the polar-front area is intimately associated with a decreased (increased) intensity of the PFJ.  相似文献

利用区域气候模式RegCM3对江淮流域梅雨期的降水和大气环流进行10 a的数值模拟,通过与再分析和观测资料的对比,评估RegCM3对江淮流域梅雨期降水和大气环流特征的模拟能力。数值模拟结果的分析表明,RegCM3能够较好地模拟出江淮流域梅雨期大气高低空环流的基本配置、相应的强湿度梯度和弱温度梯度等基本特征以及江淮流域上空的假相当位温湿舌和其北侧的强梯度带,从而较为合理地再现了梅雨期雨带的位置。与此同时,模拟结果的不足主要表现在模拟的梅雨锋强度偏弱,对流不稳定能量释放位置偏南,江淮流域降水偏少,华南地区降水偏多。  相似文献

In this study,a new parameter optimization method was used to investigate the expansion of conditional nonlinear optimal perturbation (CNOP) in a land surface model (LSM) using long-term enhanced field observations at Tongyu station in Jilin Province,China,combined with a sophisticated LSM (common land model,CoLM).Tongyu station is a reference site of the international Coordinated Energy and Water Cycle Observations Project (CEOP) that has studied semiarid regions that have undergone desertification,salination,and degradation since late 1960s.In this study,three key land-surface parameters,namely,soil color,proportion of sand or clay in soil,and leaf-area index were chosen as parameters to be optimized.Our study comprised three experiments:First,a single-parameter optimization was performed,while the second and third experiments performed triple-and six-parameter optimizations,respectively.Notable improvements in simulating sensible heat flux (SH),latent heat flux (LH),soil temperature (TS),and moisture (MS) at shallow layers were achieved using the optimized parameters.The multiple-parameter optimization experiments performed better than the single-parameter experminent.All results demonstrate that the CNOP method can be used to optimize expanded parameters in an LSM.Moreover,clear mathematical meaning,simple design structure,and rapid computability give this method great potential for further application to parameter optimization in LSMs.  相似文献

A P - σ regional climate model using a parameterization scheme to account for the thermal effects of the sub-grid scale orography was used to simulate the three heavy rainfall events that occurred within the Yangtze River Valley during the mei-yu period of 1991. The simulation results showed that by considering the sub-grid scale topography scheme, one can significantly improve the performance of the model for simulating the rainfall distribution and intensity during these three heavy rainfall events, most especially the second and third. It was also discovered that the rainfall was mainly due to convective precipitation. The comparison between experiments, either with and without the sub-grid scale topography scheme, showed that the model using the scheme reproduced the convergence intensity and distribution at the 850 hPa level and the ascending motion and moisture convergence center located at 500 hPa over the Yangtze River valley. However, some deviations still exist in the simulation of the atmospheric moisture content, the convergence distribution and the moisture transportation route, which mainly result in lower simulated precipitation levels. Further analysis of the simulation results demonstrated that the sub-grid topography scheme modified the distribution of the surface energy budget components, especially at the south and southwest edges of the Tibetan Plateau, leading to the development and eastward propagation of the negative geopotential height difference and positive temperature-lapse rate difference at 700 hPa, which possibly led to an improved precipitation simulation over eastern China.  相似文献

In this paper, major features of the upper-tropospheric jet streams simulated by a coupled Climate System Model BCC_CSM1.1 are evaluated through comparison with the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis. The jet streams consist of the East Asian subtropical jet (EASJ) and the East Asian polar-front jet (EAPJ). Associated stationary wave and synoptic-scale transient eddy activities (STEA) are also examined. The results show that the climatological positions of the westerly jet streams are well captured by BCC_CSM1.1, but with slight intensity biases. Statistics from the 6-h model outputs reveal that the jet core number (JCN) of ESPJ is significantly underestimated. Examination of the simulated seasonal evolution of the westerly jet stream indicates that the model has produced a westward movement of the EASJ core in May, one month earlier than that in the reanalysis. Analysis of stationary wave activities shows that the overestimated meridional wind component may have caused considerable enhancement of meridional momentum and heat transport. The stationary Rossby wave represented by the wave activity flux at the southern flank of the Tibetan Plateau is favorable to the growth of asymmetric zonal wind and the multiple-center pattern of JCN. Unlike the stationary wave heat flux transport, the model tends to systematically generate weaker transient heat flux over East Asia. Further analysis of STEA exhibits a general consistent pattern between the simulation and the reanalysis, while the intensity of the northern STEA branch associated with the EAPJ is greatly reduced. The deficiencies of eddy momentum and heat flux transport and accompanied eddy forcing may contribute to the biases of the simulated upper-tropospheric jet streams, suggesting the potential importance of midlatitude internal atmospheric dynamics in shaping the tropospheric general circulation, which is not yet fully and accurately resolved in the current BCC_CSM1.1.  相似文献

CoLM(Common Land Model)和NCAR_CLM3.0(NCAR Community Lanol Model 3.0)是目前国际上广为应用的两个发展比较完善的陆面过程模式.本研究利用中国陆地生态系统通量观测研究网络(Chi-naFLUX)在长白山温带混交林和千烟洲亚热带人工针叶林观测站点的长期连续强化观测资料,对这两个模式在上述地区的模拟性能进行了初步评估.同观测资料的对比表明,两个模式均能较好地模拟出观测站点地表能量和水分平衡的基本特征,其中,CoLM对潜热通量的模拟性能更好.以对潜热通量为期1年的日均值的模拟为例,COLM和CLM3.0在长白山观测站模拟值和观测值时间序列的相关系数分别为0.80和0.65,在千烟洲站分别为0.69和0.64,均通过了0.01的信度检验;两个模式对全年平均的模拟与观测日平均值的比值在长白山分别为1.21和0.86,在千烟洲分别为0.83和0.60.研究结果表明,这两个陆面过程模式可以作为研究这两种典型森林生态系统陆气交换的基本工具.同时,对模式模拟性能差异的深入分析将有助于进一步改进陆面模式的参数化过程,为相关研究奠定更坚实的基础.  相似文献
