The vegetation water content (VWC) of kidney bean crop is retrieved using ground-based multi-temporal, multi-angular and co-polarized scatterometer data at X-band. An outdoor crop-bed was prepared to observe the scatterometer response at HH- and VV-polarizations in the angular range from 20° to 70°. The trend of scattering coefficient is found to decrease for the entire angular range. The present study is carried out to investigate the retrieval for VWC of a kidney bean crop at its nine different growth stages by an empirical relation based on least square optimization method using scatterometer data. The results are found promising for the retrieval of the VWC of kidney bean crop at its several growth stages.  相似文献

Bhopalpatnam Granulite Belt which occur along SW margin of Bastar Craton and NE shoulder of Pranhita-Godavari Rift comprise of charnockite (enderbitic variety), garnet-sillimanite-biotite gneiss, quartzo-feldspathic gneiss and corundum bearing aluminous gneiss. High La/Yb ratio, low Eu anomaly (Eu/Eu*=1.0), high LREE/HREE ratio with uniform REE pattern, high La/Sc ratio (0.53–6.43), high Th/Sc ratio (0.03–2.56), low Ni (5.52–20.95), low Cr (31.05–117.05) and uniform Zr/Hf distribution pattern indicate a Proterozoic character. Distribution pattern of K2O, Na2O and CaO in ternary diagram show quartz-monzonite-granodiorite trend for the bulk rocks indicating that the bulk rock composition is close to TTG of early Archaean, which might have supplied the sediments for the rocks of Bhopalpatnam Granulite Belt. Geochemical and mineralogical evidence indicate an argillaceous protolith for garnet — sillimanite — biotite gneiss and corundum bearing aluminous gneiss, whereas an arkosic protolith for quartzo-feldspathic gneiss. The geochemical signatures also suggest an active continental margin setting for the rocks of Bhopalpatnam Granulite Belt with prominent Nb and Ta anomaly favouring a subduction environment between Bastar Craton and East Dharwar Craton. This is in conformity with the finding of the earlier workers suggesting a clockwise P-T path based on the combined fluid inclusion and mineral phase equilibria. The LILE geochemistry of charnockite suggests a bi-phase evolution. High LREE/HREE ratio portrays a highly evolved nature of the charnockitic melt generated through partial melting of the continental crust at the final stage of the granulite facies metamorphism during collision between Bastar and East Dharwar Cratons.  相似文献

We examine the status of various dark energy models in light of the recently observed SN 1997ff at   z ≈1.7  . The modified data still fit a pure cosmological constant Λ or a quintessence with an equation of state similar to that of Λ. The kinematical Λ models,  Λ∼ S -2  and  Λ∼ H 2  , also fit the data reasonably well and require less dark energy density (hence more matter energy density) than is required by the constant Λ model. However, the model  Λ∼ S -2  with low energy density becomes unphysical as it cannot accommodate higher redshift objects.
We also examine an alternative explanation of the data, namely the absorption by the intervening whisker-like dust, and find that the quasi-steady state (QSS) model and the Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) model  Ωm0=0.33  without any dark energy also fit the data reasonably well.
We notice that the addition of SN 1997ff to the old data has worsened the fit to most of the models, except a closed FRW model with a constant Λ and a closed quintessence model with   ω φ =-0.82  , and the models have started departing from each other as we go above   z =1  . However, to make a clear discrimination possible, a few more supernovae with   z >1  are required.
We have also calculated the age of the Universe in these models and find that, in the models with a constant Λ, the expansion age is uncomfortably close to the age of the globular clusters. Quintessence models show even lower age. The kinematical Λ models are, however, interesting in this connection (especially the model  Λ∼ H 2)  , as they give a remarkably large age of the Universe.  相似文献

In the present study, Sentinel-1A Synthetic Aperture Radar analysis of time series data at C-band was carried out to estimate the winter wheat crop growth parameters. Five different date images were acquired during January 2015–April 2015 at different growth stages from tillering to ripening in Varanasi district, India. The winter wheat crop parameters, i.e. leaf area index, vegetation water content (VWC), fresh biomass (FB), dry biomass (DB) and plant height (PH) were estimated using random forest regression (RFR), support vector regression (SVR), artificial neural network regression (ANNR) and linear regression (LR) algorithms. The Ground Range Detected products of Interferometric Wide (IW) Swath were used at VV polarization. The three different subplots of 1 m2 area were taken for the measurement of crop parameters at every growth stage. In total, 73 samples were taken as the training data-sets and 39 samples were taken as testing data-sets. The highest sensitivity (adj. R2?=?0.95579) of backscattering with VWC was found using RFR algorithm, whereas the lowest sensitivity (adj. R2?=?0.66201) was found for the PH using LR algorithm. Overall results indicate more accurate estimation of winter wheat parameters by the RFR algorithm followed by SVR, ANNR and LR algorithms.  相似文献

The propagation of magnetogasdynamic cylindrical shock waves in an exponentially increasing medium including the effects of the azimuthal magnetic field, is investigated. The shock wave moves with variable velocity and the total energy of the wave is variable. It is shown that the magnetic field has its significant effect on the pressure flow velocity and the inner expanding vacuum region.  相似文献

A blast wave, which is headed by a strong spherical shock wave, free or driven, moving into a medium permeated by a magnetic field and having a power law density distribution, is studied. The aim of this paper will be to present the geometrical elements of a group of totally-eclipsing close binary systems of W UMa-type, evaluated in the frequency-domain by a method developed recently by one of us (Kopal, 1982a, b) which takes account of photometric effects caused by mutual distortion of the components within eclipses. The outcome discloses that the geometry of such systems conforms more closely to that of a pair of contact configurations of the respective mass-ratio than that previously deduced from the same photometric evidence by more elementary methods; and strengthens our earlier surmise (Kopal, 1955) that the components of such systems are not actually separated from each other by any significant gap.  相似文献

Magnetogasdynamic shock waves propagating in a medium of increasing density are discussed. The shock travels in a dense atmosphere. We have used the Runge-Kutta method to obtain a numerical solution of the problem. The distribution of flow variables behind the shock are shown by graphs.  相似文献
