Niuxinshan is a typical example of the numerous mesothermal gold deposits formed during Mesozoic tectono-magmatic reactivation of the Archean North China Craton in eastern Hebei province. Gold occurs in quartz-sulfide lodes in Archean amphibolites and also in greisen zones in the Mesozoic Niuxinshan granite stock. Four mineralization stages can be recognized from early to late: (1) quartz-K-feldspar, (2) quartz-pyrite, (3) quartz-polysulfide, and (4) quartz-carbonate. Gold mineralization mainly occurs in stages 2 and 3. Fluid inclusions in quartz and fluorite from greisen zones in the Niuxinshan granite, and inclusions in vein quartz and sphalerite from stages 1 to 3 in the amphibolites, have been studied by microthermometry. Three compositional types of inclusions are recognized: type 1 (Tp1) are H2O-CO2-bearing inclusions and include primary (Tp1-P) and secondary (Tp1-S) inclusions. These are found in quartz and fluorite from the greisen zones as well as in vein quartz and sphalerite from stages 1 to 3. The Tp1-P inclusions are considered to represent the gold-bearing hydrothermal fluids. Type 2 (Tp2-S) are secondary H2O-CO2 + solid phase inclusions in fluorite from the greisen zones. Type 3 (Tp3-S) are secondary aqueous inclusions with a solid phase which coexist with the Tp2-S in fluorite from the greisen zones. The Tp1-P inclusions show variable VCO2 (commonly 0.3 to 0.6) and XCO2 values (mainly 0.1 to 0.4). The salinities of inclusions cluster around 3 to 11 wt.% NaCl equivalent and their homogenization temperatures to the liquid phase (Th(L)) fall dominantly in the range of 260 to 360 °C. The compositional variations of inclusions in stage 1 probably result from exsolution of magmatic fluids at various stages; immiscibility or boiling of the fluids can be ruled out. The compositional variations of inclusions in the greisen zones and in vein stages 2 and 3 are attributed to cooling, mixing (dilution), and necking-down of the fluids. The Tp1-S and Tp2-S inclusions show salinities of 3 to 6 wt.% NaCl equivalent and XCO2 values of 0.04 to 0.17. Th(L) clusters at 240 to 260 °C. The Tp3-S inclusions have salinities of 3 to 6 wt.% NaCl equivalent and Th(L) of 170 to 240 °C. Isochoric reconstructions, combined with oxygen and sulfur isotope geothermometry of mineral pairs, give trapping P-T conditions for the gold-bearing fluids. The greisen zones formed at 310 to 460 °C and 1.3 to 3.7 kbar; stage 1 veins at 300 to 430 °C and 1.2 to 3.7 kbar; stage 2 veins at 290 to 380 °C and 1 to 3 kbar; stage 3 veins at 250 to 350 °C and 1 to 3 kbar. H2O-CO2 fluids with low to moderate salinities and moderate to high densities (0.66 to 1.01 g/cm3) dominated at early mineralization stages, and evolved towards H2O-richer and CO2- and less saline fluids through time. The retrograde P-T evolution probably resulted from regional uplift and cooling of gold-bearing hydrothermal fluids. The gold bisulfide complex was dominant in the fluids during mineralization and gold deposition was mainly induced by decreases of temperature and pressure, as well as destabilization of the bisulfide complex during sulfidization of wall rocks. A comprehensive study of fine sediment transport in the macrotidal Seine estuary has been conducted, including observations of suspended particulate matter (SPM), surficial sediment, and bathymetric data, as well as use of a three dimensional mathematical model. Tide, river regime, wind, and wave forcings are accounted. The simulated turbidity maximum (TM) is described in terms of concentration and location according to tidal amplitude and the discharge of the Seine River. The TM is mainly generated by tidal pumping, but can be concentrated or stretched by the salinity front. The computed deposition patterns depend on the TM location and are seasonally dependent. The agreement with observations is reasonable, although resuspension by waves may be overestimated. Although wave resuspension is likely to increase the TM mass, it generally occurs simultaneously with westerly winds that induce a transverse circulation at the mouth of the estuary and then disperse the suspended material. The resulting effect is an output of material related to wind and wave events, more than to high river discharge. The mass of the computed TM remains stable over 6 months and independent of the river regime, depending mainly on the spring tide amplitude. Computed fluxes at different cross-sections of the lower estuary show the shift to the TM according to the river flow and point out the rapidity of the TM adjustment to any change of river discharge. The time for renewing the TM by riverine particles has been estimated to be one year.  相似文献

The presence and the distribution of two cryptic sedentary gobies, Pomatoschistus microps and Pomatoschistus marmoratus, were investigated in several lagoons stretching along the Golfe du Lion, southern France Mediterranean coast, and Corsica. Pomatoschistus microps is the only sedentary Pomatoschistus species in two shallow lagoons with large variations of salinity and temperature. In contrast, P. marmoratus, another sedentary species, can be found preferentially in a deep salty lagoon with small salinity variations. Both species occur sympatrically in the Rhone Delta and hybridise, producing fertile offspring. Using allozymes, competition, linked to fitness, is invoked to explain the distribution pattern of these sibling species.  相似文献

Bedform geometry is widely recognized to be a function of transport stage. Bedform aspect ratio (height/length) increases with transport stage, reaches a maximum, then decreases as bedforms washout to a plane bed. Bedform migration rates are also linked to bedform geometry, in so far as smaller bedforms in coarser sediment tend to migrate faster than larger bedforms in finer sediment. However, how bedform morphology (height, length and shape) and kinematics (translation and deformation) change with transport stage and suspension have not been examined. A series of experiments is presented where initial flow depth and grain size were held constant and the transport stage was varied to produce bedload dominated, mixed‐load dominated and suspended‐load dominated conditions. The results show that the commonly observed pattern in bedform aspect ratio occurs because bedform height increases then decreases with transport stage, against a continuously increasing bedform length. Bedform size variability increased with transport stage, leading to less uniform bedform fields at higher transport stage. Total translation‐related and deformation‐related sediment fluxes all increased with transport stage. However, the relative contribution to the total flux changed. At the bedload dominated stage, translation‐related and deformation‐related flux contributed equally to the total flux. As the transport stage increased, the fraction of the total load contributed by translation increased and the fraction contributed by deformation declined because the bedforms got bigger and moved faster. At the suspended‐load dominated transport stage, the deformation flux increased and the translation flux decreased as a fraction of the total load, approaching one and zero, respectively, as bedforms washed out to a plane bed.  相似文献

Variations in the surface aerosol over the arid steppe zone of Southern Russia have been measured. The parameters of atmospheric aerosol (mass concentration, both dispersed and elemental compositions) and meteorological parameters were measured in Tsimlaynsk raion (Rostov oblast). The chemical composition of aerosol particles in the atmospheric surface layer has been determined, and the coefficients of enrichment of elements with respect to clarkes in the Earth’s crust have been calculated. It is shown that, in summer, arid aerosols are transported from both alkaline and sandy soils of Kalmykia to the air basin over the observation zone. Aerosol particles in the surface air layer over this region have been found to contain the products of combustion of oil, coal, and ethylized fuel. These combustion products make a small contribution to the total mass concentration of atmospheric aerosol; however, they are most hazardous to the health of people because of their sizes and heavy-metal contents. A high concentration of submicron sulfur-containing aerosol particles of chemocondensation nature has been recorded. Sources of aerosol of both natural and anthropogenic origins in southern Russia are discussed.  相似文献

Using a set of compilations of measurements for extragalactic radio sources, we construct all-sky maps of the Faraday rotation produced by the Galactic magnetic field. In order to generate the maps, we treat the radio source positions as a kind of 'mask' and construct combinations of spherical harmonic modes that are orthogonal on the masked sky. As long as relatively small multipoles are used, the resulting maps are quite stable to changes in the selection criteria for the sources, and show clearly the structure of the local Galactic magnetic field. We also suggest the use of these maps as templates for cosmic microwave background (CMB) foreground analysis, illustrating the idea with a cross-correlation analysis between the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe ( WMAP ) data and our maps. We find a significant cross-correlation, indicating the presence of a significant residual contamination.  相似文献

对河北省围场地区广发永剖面藓类植物薄网藓Leptodictyum riparium、似叶镰刀藓Drepanocladus trichophyllus和多姿柳叶藓Amblystegium varium的古地理及其对应的现代植物地理分布研究显示,这些植物最早出现于早中新世的围场地区,可能起源于该时期的古北大陆,东亚为起源中心。之后向东通过白令陆桥扩散到北美,向西沿欧亚大陆扩散至欧洲西部,至全新世时主要分布在北半球。全新世后,薄网藓与多姿柳叶藓进一步向南扩散,分别由北美及亚洲东部扩散到南美洲及澳大利亚地区,逐步形成现在的分布格局;毛叶镰刀藓则在更新世就已形成与现代相近的分布格局。该研究确立了3种藓类植物的地理起源、地史分布及迁移路线。  相似文献

We have performed a detailed Mössbauer study of synthetic annites on the (OH, F)-join. Recently developed data treatment and spectral analysis methods were used to extract true intrinsic Fe2+ quadrupole splitting distributions (QSDs) that represent the most information that can be resolved from the spectra. The overall room temperature (RT) QSDs can be consistently interpreted in terms of four QSD contributions (or populations) centered at: QSHH2.55 mm/s for Fe2+O4(OH)2 octahedra (cis and trans not resolved), QSHF 2.35 mm/s for Fe2+O4(OH)F octahedra (cis and trans not resolved), QScFF2.15 mm/s for cis-Fe2+O4F2 octahedra, and QStFF 1.5 mm/s for trans-Fe2+O4F2 octahedra. Each such contribution has a width ( 0.2 mm/s) caused by distortions of the octahedra. Minor contributions due to Fe2+O5(OH) and Fe2+O5F octahedra probably also contribute to the overall Fe2+ QSDs. The ferric iron spectral components were also characterized. Here, two distinct types of octahedral Fe3+ contributions are seen and interpreted as being due mainly to Fe3+O5OH and Fe3+O5F octahedra, respectively. Tetrahedral Fe3+ is seen only in the OH-annite end-member and the total Fe3+ content drops significantly on addition of F.
