欧洲天文节

2009年2月6日、7日,为期两天的欧洲天文节在英国伦敦的肯辛顿会议和活动中心举行。国际天文年和阿波罗登月40周年成为此次大会的两大议题。天文节的内容包括演讲和展览等。     

第十个世界空间周

2009年10月4日至10日,是联合国确定的第十个“世界空间周”,联合国以及世界上许多国家都举办了各种活动,以庆祝空间科技为改善人类生存条件以及对提高人类生活水平所作出的贡献,同时宣传人类在航天领域取得的成就,促进和平利用空间。     

2009国际天文年圆满谢幕——“超越2009国际天文年”启动

2010年1月9日至10日,2009国际天文年官方闭幕式在意大利帕多瓦大学的宪章大礼堂举行,伽利略当年曾在这里教授实验物理和天文学课程。     

农用地生态价值估价方法研究

我国旧有的农用地估价方式长期缺乏对农用地价值的完整认识,直接导致农用地被低价转为建设用地。本文针对农用地生态特性提出一条估价新思路,构建农用地生态价值估价新方法——吸碳制氧法。最后以广东省佛冈县农用地中灌溉水田为例,测算并分析其生态价格,验证本文研究方法之合理性与应用性。     

THE USE OF RADAR DATA IN THE NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF HEAVY RAINFALLS IN THE CHANGJIANG-HUAIHE RIVER BASIN

It is important for predictions of heavy rainfall to include radar data to provide better reflection of moisture. Numerical experiments were carried out with real cases of heavy rains in the Changjiang (Yangtze)-Huaihe River Basin using a PSU/NCAR mesoscale model that incorporated radar data. Processed radar data were added to the model to change the analysis of initial humidity field before 24-h numerical simulations were made and the results compared with a control experiment. It is suggested that the radar-data-incorporated numerical predictions could produce locations of precipitation areas and maximum rainfall that are closer to reality than the control, due to the fact that moisture and converging updraft are strengthened in the middle and lower levels of the troposphere in the area of heavy rains and areas nearby. The work is expected to improve numerical modeling and forecasts of heavy rains in middle and lower latitudes of China.     

“瓢虫一号”卫星闪烁庆祝2019国际天文馆日

2019年是国际天文学联合会(IAU)成立100周年,IAU将组织贯穿一年的庆祝活动——IAU100。2019年3月10日(星期日)迎来国际天文馆日,国际天文馆协会(IPS)发出号召,邀请世界各地的天文馆参与庆祝国际天文馆日(IDP),使这项活动成为IAU100的一项庆祝活动。为庆祝国际天文馆日,北京天文馆、《天文爱好者》杂志联合北京九天微星科技发展有限公司共同举办"情系天文馆,卫星送祝福"。     

A simple but accurate ultraviolet limb-scan spherically-layered radiative-transfer-model based on single-scattering physics

Here we present a study focusing on atmospheric limb-scattered radiative characteristics in the ultraviolet band by using a limb-scan spherically-layered radiative-transfer-model based on the single-scattering approximation, which was developed by the present authors. We have applied an accurate numerical integration technique involving an auto-adaptive modified-space step, which assured high accuracy and simplification. Comparisons were made to the newly released spherical radiative transfer model, SCIATRAN2.0, which was developed by Institute of Remote Sensing/Institute of Environmental Physics （IUP/IFE） at University of Bremen and to measurements collected via an ultraviolet spectrometer on the Solar Mesospheric Explorer （SME） satellite, which was launched in October, 1981. Preliminary results indicate that the present model provides a good interpretation of the earth-limb scattered ultraviolet radiance, and thus, is suitable for the study of the ultraviolet-limb radiative-transfer problem with high accuracy.     

CAP201O和南非天文馆

由于举办2010年世界杯,南非吸引了全球的目光,许多会议也不约而同地在此举办。南非总统祖马说,世界杯的举办成为南非经济腾飞的一个契机,而一个在他的后院举办的国际天文学家参加的会议,更是一个促进南非国家发展,充满幻想但非常实际的活动。     

耶拿天文馆的球幕盛宴

随着数字时代的来临,天文馆的设备发生了翻天覆地的变化。耶拿天文馆在安装了激光全球幕投影器（即ADLIP,北京天文馆2004年安装了同样的设备）之后,于2007年3月举办了第一次全球幕艺术节。这次艺术节的成功举行,促成主办者将它变成一年一度的盛会。     

意大利穹顶古典星座图绘寻踪

星座艺术一直是我的最爱,2004年李元先生和我在编辑《世纪天图》之际,曾把一幅意大利穹顶古典星座图绘,作为封底予以刊载,在广大读者中引起良好的反响。此画构图壮丽,造型生动,气势磅礴,色彩绚丽,神贯宇宙,是世界文化中星空艺术的珍宝。最近天文景观成为天文科普的一个时髦话题,我就想,如此壮丽的星座图画,如果只能在印刷品中欣赏,岂不可惜,能不能亲眼目睹真物呢？这是眼见为实的天文景观吗？不久,我的志同道合的同事郭霞也参与了这一话题的探讨与研究,于是我们有了惊奇的意外发现,以下就是我们共同寻宝的结果。
