This paper discusses the numerical prediction of the induced pressure and lift of the planing surfaces in a steady motion based on the potential flow solver as well as the spray drag by use of the practical method.The numerical method for computation of the induced pressure and lift is potential-based boundary element method.Special technique is identified to present upwash geometry and to determine the spray drag.Numerical results of a planing flat plate and planing craft model 4666 are presented.It is shown that the method is robust and efficient and the results agree well with the experimental measurements with various Froude humors.  相似文献

The problem of the detailed structure of magnetogasdynamic shock waves is investigated. It is assumed that the flow takes place under normal magnetic fieldH 0 and the conductivity of the medium is considered infinite. An approximate analytical solution of the nonlinear differential equations describing the phenomena is obtained. The suggested analytical results in this paper are in good agreement with the previous numerical computations for the thickness and the velocity distribution inside the transition region. In addition, the enthalpy distribution inside the shock front is predicted.  相似文献

This work involves updating the evaluation of seismic hazard in Northeast Algeria by a probabilistic approach. This reassessment attempts to resolve inconsistencies between seismic zoning in regional building codes and is further motivated by the need to refine the input data that are used to evaluate seismic hazard scenarios. We adopted a seismotectonic model that accounts for differences in interpretations of regional seismicity. We then performed a probabilistic assessment of regional seismic hazard in Northeast Algeria. Based on a homogeneous earthquake catalog and geological and seismotectonic data gathered in the first part of the study, a seismotectonic zoning map was created and seven risk areas were identified. For each area, peak ground acceleration hazard maps were produced. Details of the calculations are provided, including hazard curves at periods of 0.1, 0.2, 0.33, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 s and uniform hazard spectra at urban locations in the area, including Sétif, Constantine, Kherrata, Bejaia, and Jijel.  相似文献

Temperature variations of the flare star, EV Lac, at its quiet-state luminosity were computed from its colour indices,B - V, which were measured in Johnson's system, these daily temperature changes are the essential reason of the short-term behaviour appearance in the flare star which is due to the presence of active region(s) causing a temperature difference of a few hundred degrees from the photosphere. A correlation between the annual mean of temperature variations of the flare star at its quiet-state and the annual rate of some physical parameters of the flare star at its active-state was detected. This correlation can interpret the occurrence of the long-term behaviour of the flare star at its quiescent-state as found by Mavridiset al. (1982).  相似文献

In Wadi Tharad the groundwater has been subjected to hydrochemical study to identify the process (s) that led to the formation of relatively highly saline water in shallow alluvial aquifer. The chemical analyses results show that the groundwater salinity was highly variable and randomly distributed along the wadi course. This variation could be attributed to intensive evaporation on effluent prone surface irrigation water that led to precipitation of evaporates (e.g., calcite, dolomite, gypsum and probably halite). The intensive irrigation practice through mineral dissolution recharged the groundwater with a marked increase in the salinity. The local hydrogeological condition is also involved in determining the risk of the groundwater salinity as a consequence of irrigation practice. Analysis of kinematic seismic response of tapered piles   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In the present work, a two-phase analysis is used to assess the lateral movement of a tapered pile due to kinematic seismic loading resulted from earthquakes. First, the free-field horizontal displacement of the ground due to earthquake is estimated using available theory of wave propagation. Second, these estimated soil movements are imposed on the taper pile in a closed-form solution to compute the pile response. The governing differential equation for an arbitrary pile segment is obtained, which includes the free-field horizontal movement estimated from the first phase. The equation is solved explicitly to obtain the horizontal deflection. Parametric studies show that tapered piles tend to be more flexible than uniform piles of the same volume and length under earthquake loading, which is soundly interesting.  相似文献

As and Pb-contaminated sediment obtained from the Nakdong Lake and Yeongsan River in the Republic of Korea was stabilized using a combination of calcined oyster shell (COS), waste cow bone (WCB) and coal mine drainage sludge (CMDS). The effectiveness of the stabilization treatment was evaluated using the Korean Standard Test (KST). The KST tests were performed using 1 N HCl extraction fluid for As and 0.1 N HCl extraction fluid for Pb. Scanning electron microscopy–energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM–EDX) analyses were performed to investigate the mechanism responsible for As and Pb immobilization upon treatment. The treatment results showed that effective stabilization of As and Pb-contaminated sediment was obtained. Specifically, 10 wt% COS–5 wt% CMDS was the best treatment for As immobilization and 5 wt% COS–5 wt% WCB was the best treatment for Pb immobilization. The COS–WCB treatment outperformed the COS–CMDS treatment in immobilizing Pb in the contaminated sediment. SEM–EDX results indicated that Pb immobilization was strongly associated with Ca, Si, Al and P while As immobilization was strongly associated with Fe and O. Therefore, utilization of COS, WCB and CMDS is beneficial for the stabilization of contaminated sediment.  相似文献

Properties of dust-acoustic solitary waves in a warm dusty plasma are analyzed by using the hydrodynamic model for massive dust grains, electrons, ions, and streaming ion beam. For this purpose, Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation for the first-order perturbed potential and linear inhomogeneous KdV-type equation for the second-order perturbed potential have been derived and their analytical solutions are presented. In order to show the characteristics of the dust-acoustic solitary waves are influenced by the plasma parameters, the relevant numerical analysis of the KdV and linear inhomogeneous KdV-type equations are obtained. The dust-acoustic solitary waves, as predicted here, may be associated with the nonlinear structures caused by the interaction of polar jets with the interstellar medium, which is known as Herbig-Haro objects.  相似文献
