In this study, a naturally available crab shell chitosan of low molecular weight (20?kDa) has been used as adsorbent to evaluate the pollution load in vegetable oil mill effluent. A series of batch experiment was conducted by varying chitosan dosage (100?C400?mg), pH (2?C9), stirring time (15?C90)?min and agitation speed (25?C150?rpm) to study their effects on adsorption and flocculation processes. The parameters considered for adsorption study are chemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, electrical conductivity and turbidity. The maximum reduction in chemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, electrical conductivity and turbidity is 74, 70, 56 and 92?% , respectively. The observed experimental result showed that crab shell chitosan could able to reduce significantly the chemical oxygen demand, turbidity, electrical conductivity and suspended matter. The optimum conditions were estimated as 400?mg/l chitosan, pH 4 and 45?min of mixing time with mixing speed of 50?rpm. Chitosan showed very good pollution removal efficiency and can be used for the effective treatment of vegetable oil mill effluent.  相似文献

根据某冶炼尾渣的成分和矿物特性,研究了铀、铌、钽和锡的回收工艺。开发出酸浸提铀-重选抛尾-弱磁选回收铌、钽一强磁选除铁回收锡的联合工艺流程。铀浸出率大于80%;铌、钽品位大于31%,回收率大于80%;锡精矿品位大于62%,回收率大于65%,锡精矿经放射性去污后,其放射性水平基本符合有色冶金行业标准。  相似文献

Syntans are synthetically prepared tanning agents from phenols that play an important role in leather making by enhancing the filling, grain characteristics and dyeing property. A considerable amount of syntan emanated in waste water contributes high pollution load with other heterocyclic aromatic compounds and causes serious environmental impact resulting in high oxygen demand. In order to overcome this, suitable biodegradation techniques have been developed using laccase from Penicillium chrysogenum. The influence of different environmental parameters on the biodegradation has also been studied which reveals that the maximum syntan degradation was obtained at pH 5.0, temperature at 32 °C for the duration of 48 h. Maximum biodegradation was found to be 96 and 94% for samples containing phenolic and melamine syntan. Ultraviolet spectra showed the peaks at around 280 nm for the presence of phenolic (DI) syntan and at 220 nm for melamine syntan which were disappeared later in the experimental sample indicating complete degradation of syntans. Fourier spectral analysis indicated that the peaks at the region between 1443–1574 and 1176 cm?1 correspond to C=C stretching and C–H bending for aromatic region which were later disappeared in the experimental sample. Ultrapressure liquid chromatography elution profiles of syntans showed relatively shorter retention time indicating formation of oxidized products. Syntans, namely DI and FB6, showed reduction in chemical oxygen demand up to 87.71 ± 4 and 83.38 ± 5%, respectively, while total organic carbon reduction was achieved up to 82.37 and 80.72%, respectively. Adverse effect of rapid industrialization on groundwater quality and quantity is widely known problem especially in developing countries. Tirupur, which is situated on the bank of Noyyal River in India, is known for intensive textile processing activities. As groundwater is the main water source for drinking water, there is an urgency to assess the groundwater quality. Twenty groundwater samples were collected for each post and pre-monsoon sampling during August 2009 and March 2010, respectively. Chemical and statistical analysis along with numerical modelling has been performed to assess the current status. The hydro-geochemical study revealed that the dominance of Mg–Cl and Na–HCO3 groundwater type in the upstream region Tirupur industrial hub of Noyyal River basin. Na–Cl groundwater type was found increasing in industrial hub (Kasipalayam) and downstream of the industrial hub (Anaipalayam) sites. The dominance of Na–Cl type of water is mainly due to the impact of salts like NaCl, Na2SO4, etc. used in textile processing, which after discharge, percolate and accumulate in the aquifers. Seasonal groundwater quality of Tirupur region as a whole showed the dominance of Ca–HCO3 ?, Na–HCO3 ? and Na–Cl water types. PHREEQC model output indicates that nearly all the groundwater samples were oversaturated with respect to calcite and dolomite and undersaturated with respect to gypsum and halite. The results obtained in this study were then compared with groundwater quality of the Noyyal River basin for the year 2008–2009. Among the two sites, Kasipalayam was found to be most contaminated due to incessant industrial discharge. But with the advent of new treatment technologies like CETPs having zero liquid discharge system and MBR, there has been slight decline in the concentration of different physicochemical parameters from 2002–2003 to 2008–2009. 可地浸砂岩型铀矿多数赋存于产油气盆地,并与油气关系十分密切。本文通过对可地浸砂岩型铀矿的成因分类、与油气藏的关系及与气藏异同点的分析对比,总结了几种典型油气藏上方的放射性异常模式。以二连盆地可地浸砂岩型铀矿与油气藏的客观相伴关系为例,在鄂尔多斯盆地进行了应用试验,取得了一定效果。因此,利用铀油相伴关系,在油气勘探中注意寻找铀矿(化)床,在铀矿(化)床周围的有利构造部位加强油气勘探是十分重要的。  相似文献

该文基于中国地质调查局天津地质调查中心研究团队近年来的研究工作及对相关文献的综合研究,对砂岩型铀矿中一些重要铀矿物如沥青铀矿(晶质铀矿)、铀石、钛铀矿等的微区原位成因矿物学和U-Pb年代学研究现状进行了深入分析,提出新的研究方向,即通过采用二次离子质谱法、激光剥蚀多接收器电感耦合等离子体质谱法与电子探针化学分析法和同位素稀释热电离质谱法相结合的方式,综合研究砂岩型铀矿中沥青铀矿(晶质铀矿)、铀石、钛铀矿等铀矿物和金红石、磷灰石等含铀矿物的微区原位成因矿物学和U-Pb年代学,探索砂岩型铀矿中矿石矿物的U-Pb同位素测年新方法,获取更精确的砂岩型铀矿成岩成矿的年代学信息。这对于全面准确地认识砂岩型铀矿床的生成和演化历史,建立砂岩型铀矿床的成矿新理论具有十分重要的科学意义。铀矿物测年新方法在砂岩型铀矿床的地质勘探中也有广阔的应用前景。  相似文献

The main objective of this study is to investigate the possibility of powdered eggshell used as an adsorbent material for removal of humic acid from peat water. The influences of contact time, dose of eggshells, pH, and temperature were the factors considered in the removal processes of humic acid from peat water. In addition, adsorption isotherms of humic acid onto the powdered eggshell were also evaluated with the Langmuir and Freundlich approximations. Our results showed that the equilibrium of the process was eventually established after 60 min of the contact time, and also found that using 5 g of the powdered eggshell nearly 95 % of humic acid has been successfully removed from the peat water. The removal of humic acid gave better result when it was conducted at low pH, and it was almost unaffected the temperatures variation. The data was well fitted to Freundlich isotherm with the correlation coefficient of not <0.999, and could uptake the humic acid about 126.58 mg/g at pH 4.01, estimated from the Langmuir model. The kinetic experimental data proportionally correlated with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model with a rate constant in the range of 0.016–0.112 g mg?1 min?1, while intra-particle-diffusion were the main rate determining step in the humic acid removal process. The powdered eggshell investigated in this study, thus, exhibited as a high potential adsorbent for the removal of humic acid from peat water.  相似文献

Adsorption and desorption of uranium(VI) from dilute aqueous solutions by Eucalyptus citriodora distillation sludge was studied in a batch mode. The potential of Eucalyptus citriodora distillation sludge to remove uranium(VI) from aqueous solutions has been investigated at different conditions of solution pH, metal ion concentrations, biosorbent dosage, biosorbent particle size, contact time and temperature. The results indicated that biosorption capacity of Eucalyptus citriodora distillation sludge was strongly affected by the medium pH, the biosorbent dose, metal ion concentrations and medium temperature. Reduction in particle size increased the biosorption capacity. Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were applied to biosorption data to determine the biosorption characteristics. An optimum biosorption capacity (57.75 mg/g) was achieved with pH 4.0, particle size 0.255 mm, biosorbent dose 0.5 g/100 mL and initial uranium(VI) concentration of 100 mg/L. Uranium(VI) removal by Eucalyptus citriodora distillation sludge was rapid, the equilibrium was established within 60 min and pseudo-second-order model was found to fit with the experimental data. The biosorption process decreased with an increase in the temperature indicating its exothermic nature. Pretreatments of biomass with different reagents affected its biosorption capacity. A significant increase (34 %) in biosorption capacity (83.25 mg/g) was observed with benzene treatment. Fourier-transform infra-red studies showed the involvement of carbonyl, carboxyl and amide groups in the biosorption process. The results indicated that sulfuric acid had the best effects as an eluent showing 93.24 % desorption capacity.  相似文献

Bio-removal of heavy metals, using microbial biomass, increasingly attracting scientific attention due to their significant role in purification of different types of wastewaters making it reusable. Heavy metals were reported to have a significant hazardous effect on human health, and while the conventional methods of removal were found to be insufficient; microbial biosorption was found to be the most suitable alternative. In this work, an immobilized microbial consortium was generated using Statistical Design of Experiment (DOE) as a robust method to screen the efficiency of the microbial isolates in heavy metal removal process. This is the first report of applying Statistical DOE to screen the efficacy of microbial isolates to remove heavy metals instead of screening normal variables. A mixture of bacterial biomass and fungal spores was used both in batch and continuous modes to remove Chromium and Iron ions from industrial effluents. Bakery yeast was applied as a positive control, and all the obtained biosorbent isolates showed more significant efficiency in heavy metal removal. In batch mode, the immobilized biomass was enclosed in a hanged tea bag-like cellulose membrane to facilitate the separation of the biosorbent from the treated solutions, which is one of the main challenges in applying microbial biosorption at large scale. The continuous flow removal was performed using fixed bed mini-bioreactor, and the process was optimized in terms of pH (6) and flow rates (1 ml/min) using Response Surface Methodology. The most potential biosorbent microbes were identified and characterized. The generated microbial consortia and process succeeded in the total removal of Chromium ions and more than half of Iron ions both from standard solutions and industrial effluents.  相似文献

浙江大桥坞矿床是赣杭火山岩铀成矿带重要的铀矿床之一。本文通过对大桥坞铀矿床铅、氢和氧同位素及前人资料的综合研究,探讨了矿床成矿流体和成矿物质来源。结果表明花岗斑岩、凝灰岩、辉绿岩、矿石中黄铁矿、蚀变围岩中黄铁矿的Ph同位素组成变化较小,可能指示它们具有相似的源区。在铅同位素构造环境判别图解中,铅同位素投影点分布范围较广,但多数集中于地幔和造山带演化线之间,偏向造山带,反映了铅的来源与岩浆活动有关。氢、氧同位素组成显示,成矿流体主要来自大气降水。成矿物质来源于壳幔混合源。  相似文献

This study investigated the leaching of radium-226 from phosphogypsum (PG) waste produced from the fertilizer industry by synthetic solutions that replicate water that may contact the waste in natural conditions. The results indicated that the activity concentration of Ra-226 in the PG was 461 ± 12 Bq kg?1 and compared with other studies carried out worldwide. The leached percentage of Ra-226 represents the exchangeable fraction loosely bounded in the matrix of the PG waste. The leached fraction of Ra-226 was 6.5 ± 0.6 and 9.0 ± 0.5% when the waste was exposed to rainwater and saline solution, respectively. It is also found that the leaching fraction increased 10–12 ± 0.4% when the waste was exposed to the admixture of saline solution containing Sr2+ or Ba2+ cations, whereas it was lowered to 4–5 ± 0.5% in the presence of carbonate or sulfate anions. When the PG is used as an economic fertilizer, the irrigation water can leach 7.8 ± 0.6% of Ra-226 that could contribute to plant uptake, thereby to animal and/or human consumption. The primary tests of the drinking water (well and tap resources) consumed by the populations surround the PG facility showed that the activity concentration of Ra-226 was below the minimum detectable activity.  相似文献

Based on the study of local volumes of minerals, including their microsampling and subsequent analysis of Pb/Pb and U/Pb isotope ratios with the classic methods of isotopic dilution and thermoionization mass spectrometry (TIMS), U-Pb and Pb-Pb isotopic datings of minerals were carried out in uranium ores from deposits in the Akitkan and Nechera-Nichatka ore districts (North Baikal region). Reliable evidence in favor of the Middle Devonian (384 ± 8 Ma) remobilization of Paleoproterozoic primary uranium concentrations and the redeposition of uranium as pitchblende 2 has been obtained for the first time for ores of the Akitkan district. The Paleoproterozoic (1832 ± 13 Ma) age of uraninite mineralization and the timing of the latest (377 ± 5 Ma) transformation of uranium ores at the Chepok deposit (Nechera-Nichatka district) are substantiated.  相似文献

The batch removal of copper(II) ions from aqueous solution under different experimental conditions using alkali-leached silica and activated charcoal was investigated in this study. The copper(II) uptake was dependent on varying time, pH, copper concentration and temperature. Copper sorption was found fast reaching equilibrium within 1 h with better performance for alkali-leached silica than charcoal. Copper sorption was low at low pH values and increased with rise in initial pH-value until 6.7. Sorption fits well the Langmuir and Freundlich equations with higher uptake by increasing temperature. According to Langmuir equation, the maximum uptake of Cu(II) ions by alkali-leached SiO2 and charcoal was found to be 242.5 and 94.4 mmol/g at temperature 60 °C and pH 6. Thermodynamic studies confirm that the process was spontaneous and endothermic nature. Kinetic data for Cu(II) sorption was found to follow pseudo-second-order model.  相似文献

In this work, a low-cost lignocellulosic adsorbent with high biosorption capacity is proposed, suitable for the efficient removal of hexavalent chromium from water and wastewater media. The adsorbent was produced by autohydrolyzing Scots Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) sawdust. The effect of the autohydrolysis conditions, i.e., pretreatment time and temperature, on hexavalent chromium biosorption was investigated using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and UV–visible spectrophotometry. The Freundlich, Langmuir, Sips, Radke-Prausnitz, Modified Radke-Prausnitz, Tóth, UNILAN, Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich adsorption capacities and the rate constant values for pseudo-first- and pseudo-second-order kinetics indicated that the autohydrolyzed material exhibits significantly enhanced hexavalent chromium adsorption properties comparing with the untreated sawdust. The Freundlich’s adsorption capacity K F increased from 2.276 to 8.928 (mg g?1)(L mg?1)1/n , and the amount of hexavalent chromium adsorbed at saturation (Langmuir constant q m) increased from 87.4 to 345.9 mg g?1, indicating that autohydrolysis treatment at 240 °C for 50 min optimizes the adsorption behavior of the lignocellulosic material.  相似文献

The adsorption properties of eggshell membranes (ESM), eggshells (ES) and orange peels (OP) were studied for the removal of arsenic (total As) and selenium (total Se). The effect of chemical treatment of these adsorbents by HNO3 and NaOH was also investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Analysis of the FT-IR spectra showed that treatment with NaOH and HNO3 had an effect on the functional groups present in the materials and also on the adsorption by extension. Thermal analysis showed that ES were more thermally stable than the others with no water molecules in their matrix, which could have caused a substantial weight loss at around 70 °C. In terms of adsorption capacities, chemical treatment increased the adsorption capacities of ESM and OP achieving up to 170 μg g?1 (As) and 160 μg g?1 (Se), and 120 μg g?1 (As) and 70 μg g?1 (Se), respectively, with not much activity for ES in terms of adsorption. The two adsorbents (NaOH-treated OP and ESM) were then tested in environmental water samples and the results showed that 68.9 % of As and 74.8 % of Se, and 54.1 % of As and 47.3 % of Se were removed from domestic wastewater samples investigated using OP and ESM, respectively. Moreover, better selectivities towards the compounds of interest were achieved.  相似文献

本分析了采自十红滩铀矿床31线和39线勘探剖面中10个矿石样品的铀含量和铀价态,并对其中具代表性的两个矿石样品进行了浸取试验。矿石样品的U^4 /U^6 比值较大的变化范围(0.82~1.81),表明了矿石中铀价态的多样性和赋存状态的复杂性。在基本达到浸取平衡的条件下,浸出率曲线在不同浸取液浓度、不同浸泡时间和不同氧化条件下,呈现较好的变化规律,据此可半定量确定矿石中的活性铀与可溶性铀的含量。结合矿床地质和矿石特征,认为十红滩铀矿床矿石中的铀主要以分散吸附状态存在,从试验的角度证实了其具有可浸取性。  相似文献
