台湾地区历史地段城市更新经验及其启示

台湾地区自1895年实施城市规划至今已百余年,随着时代的变迁,许多旧市中心区及老旧衰败地区问题也逐渐浮现。城市历史地段的更新横跨了城市更新及文化遗产保护2个研究领域,与一般旧市中心区的更新相比情况也相对复杂。历史地段是城市之中最为老旧的区域,但在兼顾文化遗产保护的同时,仍须顺应时代的变迁及居民现代化生活的需要。首先,梳理了国际上与台湾地区的历史地段更新思潮演进,其次,对台湾地区目前历史地段更新规划的相关法令、实施方式及更新理念进行介绍。以台南总爷老街为案例,说明历史地段的更新是如何整合城市更新与文化遗产保护理念于物质环境改造手法之中,借由整建维护的更新方式达成促进城市整体发展的综合性目标。透过检讨台湾地区近40年的城市更新政策实践的经验,从文化遗产保护的视角出发,为中国大陆城市更新政策制定与执行提供更多借鉴。

城市历史地区保护对城市规划学科的渗透越来越广泛深入，并且随着城市的发展，有关保护观念、方法、内容等在不断发生变化。对于变化中的城市历史地区保护规划，本文从宏观层面归纳总结了保护方式、保护目标、保护内容以及与城市总体发展密切相关的城市土地利用、空间结构、交通道路等重要方面可深入细化的内容。     

论福州的人文环境和生态环境建设

要建设成新兴的旅游城市和现代化生态园林城市，福州必须承接和延续历史文脉，树立时代观念、整体观念、区域观念和自然观念，在保护、改造、拓展、创新上下功夫，在文化、绿化、美化、个性化上做文章，在规划、建设、管理、提高品位上求突破。

佛山市城市景观的空间演化与文化研究

城市景观为城市文化的载体,是城市物质表现,而城市文化同时又建设和改变着城市景观。佛山市是国家历史文化名城,景观与文化的相互作用显著,文中试以佛山市为例,追溯城市的文化背景、景观的空间演变,从历史文化景观、工商业专业文化景观、宗教文化景观、民俗文化景观、园林绿化景观等五个方面进行了文化特征分析,指出构建历史文化名城和现代生态城市相结合的综合性城市是佛山市今后作为区域中心城市的景观建设的取向。

城市，作为经济活动的主要载体，在中国实现社会主义现代化进程中起着越来越大的作用。但在日常生活和工作中，人们往往容易混淆城市和“市”的概念，不了解中国的市镇制度的内涵，     

福州市城市景观规划初步研究

本文在对城市景观规划含义、城市景观规划原理以及福州城市景观规划的总体环境研究的基础上，提出福州市的城市景观规划和设计应结合城市景观生态学原理，通过自然景观与人文景观有机结合、历史感与时代感有机结合等规划思路，把福州市规划成为一座既具有历史文化名城内涵，又有现代化气息的省会城市。     

历史街区地方文化的变迁与重塑——以北京什刹海为例

如何保护与发展地方传统文化是许多历史城市所面临的一个重要问题.基于文化生态学理论,将文化当作一个有机体.当其生存环境发生变化之后,文化所包含的内容将发生一系列变化.本文以北京什刹海历史街区为例,探讨在旧城更新与全球化的双重作用下,地方文化如何回应环境的变化.资料分析和调查结果表明:什刹海的传统文化特色正在削弱,且外来文化与地方文化之间存在隔离;外来文化进入什刹海之后一般会产生适应新环境的进化现象;就什刹海地方文化建议而言,要最大程度的保护传统物质空间,积极发展具有地方文化特色的业态,尽量维持原有社会网络和生活方式.     

福州市城市景观规划初步研究

Deserts and Aeolian Desertification in China: Book review and some thoughts

Desertification is a global phenomenon that affects about two billion people. It occurs in arid zones where the annual precipitation is below 400 mm, partic- ularly in the marginal areas of the world＇s largest deserts. It is a result of water and wind erosion, over- grazing, global warm-ing, improper soil cultivation, and increased pressure ot population growth, and it causes degradation of soil and natural and agricultural vegetation. The direct result is less food for people and livestock, which influences pop- ulation and animal husbandry fluctuations. Despite ef- forts to combat and reduce desertification, the affected areas are annually increasing.

THE MOST PERFECT EXAMPLE OF AN ALIEN ECOLOGY EVER CONSTRUCTED

Much science-fiction literature is based upon the creation and exploration of alternative environments. Stanley G. Weinbaum's short story, “Parasite Planet,”introduces an unusual environment that may be wrong in the light of recent evidence on Venus but still stimulates the geographical imagination.     

Metals and models: Diagenic modelling in freshwater lacustrine sediments

This review aims to distill and synthesize the existing information on the use of models to describe and predict the distribution and movement of metals in lacustrine sediments. As such it examines the causes of metal diagenesis, the origin and form of the equations that govern these phenomena, and the predictability or measurability of the parameters that appear in the models. The paper concludes by highlighting some seminal results from modelling studies, including the determination of the factors controlling the formation of surficial Mn-Fe-enriched zone or layers, the substantial contribution possible from metal reduction to organic matter regeneration, the calculation of mixing-corrected metal input histories to lakes, and the prediction of growth rates and morphologies for both deep-sea and lacustrine ferromanganese nodules.
