本文以延河流域的1:250000和1:500000土地利用图为对象,以景观格局分析程序Fragstats3.3为分析工具,探讨了不同比例尺条件下景观指数随粒度增加的变化特征.研究结果表明,随着粒度值由25m到400m的逐渐增加,除斑块丰富度外的景观指数均具有明显的尺度效应,其中聚集度和集合度没有尺度转折点,其他指数具有明显或不明显的尺度转折点.对比分析1:250000和1:500000土地利用格局指数的计算结果可以发现:1)尺度转折点不是一个值,而是一个相对较小的区间;2)尺度转折点与研究图件的比例尺有关,比例尺越大,所发生的第一次尺度转折点的粒度就越小;3)第一尺度域是选择适宜粒度的较好取值范围.对延河流域1:250000土地利用图进行景观指数计算的适宜粒度范围是70~90m,1:500000土地利用图的适宜粒度范围是90~120m.  相似文献

Strike–slip faults are often accompanied by a variety of structures, particularly at their tips. The zones of additional fracturing are classified as tip‐damage zones. These zones can be subdivided into several different damage patterns based on the nature and orientation of faults and fractures developed. Damage zones at the ends of small strike–slip faults (mode II tips) develop wing cracks, horsetail splays, antithetic faults, synthetic branch faults and solution surfaces. Similar tip‐damage patterns are also commonly observed at larger (regional) scales, but with a dominance of faulting over tensile cracks and solution surfaces. Wing cracks and horsetail splays developed at small‐scale faults are replaced by normal faults in large‐scale faults. Antithetic faults and synthetic branch faults are observed at small and large scales. Thrust faults are developed at large scales, in a similar pattern to solution surfaces at a small scale. All these structures may show slightly different angular relationships to the master fault at small and large scale, but develop in response similar stress distribution and mechanics around the fault. Thus, mode II tip‐damage zones show similar patterns over a wide range of fault scales.  相似文献

Medical Computed Tomography scanners permit to rapidly obtain qualitative and quantitative information on objects in a non-destructive manner in both longitudinal and transversal directions. CT-scan scales used to express attenuation on the images are different for longitudinal (topograms) and transversal (tomograms) views, restraining the complementary use of the information extracted from both views. Moreover, topograms are of full use in core analysis as they reveal fine-scale information on stratigraphical, sedimentological and physical properties of the material. This paper presents a method to convert CT-scan topogram intensity scale to Hounsfield Unit (HU; scale used on tomograms) and to later extract a relative density from it. The method is based on relationships between topogram and tomogram values, absolute density and effective atomic numbers obtained on a series of minerals. Results show excellent correlations between converted topogram values and HU values obtained on the tomograms, as well as between relative densities derived from the converted topogram values, and the absolute density of the minerals.  相似文献

精确限定多期次岩浆-热液活动的时间尺度一直是剖析斑岩矿床形成过程的热点和难点。借助矿物的高精度同位素定年、热力学数值模拟以及石英的钛扩散模型等方法,斑岩矿床中岩浆-热液活动的时间尺度已经被限定在几万年之内。本文以三江特提斯超大型玉龙斑岩铜(钼)矿床为例,重点识别含矿热液脉中普遍存在的石英,利用钛元素的扩散年代学方法,精确限定斑岩矿床中多期岩浆-热液流体活动的时间尺度。扩散模型表明玉龙斑岩矿床热液活动的时间尺度为32000~870000年,有力支持了超大型斑岩矿床可以在几万至几十万年甚至更短时间内形成的观点。此外,为避免钛扩散模型产生较大的误差,需要在精确测定石英中钛含量的基础上,结合矿床地质背景或其他实验方法合理地估测温度和压力条件。研究认为,将矿物的高精度同位素定年与元素的扩散年代学相结合,可以在更为精细的尺度上完善斑岩矿床岩浆-热液活动的时间框架。  相似文献

对近十年年代际气候低为率的诊断研究作了综合评述,指出年代际及以上尺度的变率可能就是气候系统数十年尺度低频振荡或气候基本态的自然表征,控制着更小时间尺度ENSO变率,对这一问题的深入研究不公有助于提高气候变率的认识,而且对检测人为因素在全球变暖中的相对贡献也具有重要的意义。  相似文献

文章以都汶公路为例,利用遥感解译技术快速获取地震诱发山地灾害类型及其对公路造成的严重损害类型,利用GPS对公路损毁灾害点准确定位,获得路基路面直接震害类型信息,同时对山地灾害遥感判识结果进行检验。通过分析认为公路沿线岩体岩性以及风化破碎程度的不同,对公路产生的损毁程度不相同;路基破坏程度与距离震中和断裂带的远近有密切关系;路基下方护坡的破坏与所处边坡的坡度有关;崩塌滑坡产生大量松散固体物质,雨季到来之后,极易暴发大规模泥石流,需要注意并防范泥石流对行车安全和道路交通的影响。  相似文献

This paper presents the results of the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) inmanaging information on the effects of earthquakes in historical times on the island ofIschia. The unpublished sources on the Casamicciola earthquake of 28 July 1883 andthe extensive bibliography documenting the island's seismicity from 1228 showed theneed to proceed towards a type of data storage that would also allow management ofthe same data. Application of GIS techniques allowed us to insert, extract, handle,manage and analyse the data for the zoning of seismic damage on the island of Ischia.The end-product consists of information layers, such as maps of isoseismals, the damage, and hazard involved, as well as numerical tables associated to maps.The study was developed using GIS Arc-View 3.2 software (ESRI) and is structured inthematic vectorial levels and rasters. The overlapping themes constitute a cartographicdata base of the island. The damaged sites are located on a map at a scale of 1:10,000,with all the information on the 1883 earthquake (total number of houses, number ofcollapsed houses, collapsed or damaged rooms, photographs, plans of buildings, etc.)being associated to each site. The GIS is structured in such a way as to be able to beintegrated with further georeferenced data and with other databases. It is thus able toprovide support both for in-depth analyses of the dynamic processes on the island andextend the assessment to other natural risks (volcanic, landslides, flooding, etc.).  相似文献

冻融循环作用下层理砂岩物理特性及劣化模型   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
岩石在冻融环境下发生的损伤与其层理结构密切相关,同时冻融损伤作为一种综合表现,单纯考虑岩体内部某一种尺度缺陷或外部单一因素在冻融循环作用下的变化,不足以客观反映损伤情况。对垂直、平行层理试样开展0、20、40次冻融试验,首先探究了层理砂岩在冻融过程中的损伤发育特征,之后基于?100 mm SHPB试验装置,进行5种弹速下的冲击试验,分析了冻融循环条件下层理砂岩冲击破碎块度分布规律,以冻融损伤累积与破碎块度的相关性为理论依据,以力学性质的冻融劣化为思想建立了层理砂岩的冻融劣化模型,研究结果表明:冻融环境下,两种试样孔隙发育、纵波波速表现出显著差异,平行层理试样相对更容易发生损伤;各级冲击弹速下破碎块度分布与冻融循环次数之间存在正相关、负相关以及波动型3种相关关系;劣化模型基于负相关区域数据和成比例相同区域数据得到的强度、峰值应变计算值与实测值非常接近,基于正相关区域数据得到的强度计算值也与实测值有很好的一致性。  相似文献

Scale pervades interdisciplinary research on human-environment systems that exhibit hallmarks of complexity such as path dependence, nonlinearity, and surprise. Although scale concepts are woven through the data, methodology, and theory of human-environment research, the question remains: does scale exist? More broadly, can a single definition of scale suffice for human-environment systems? The meaning and use of scale is contested across the social, natural, and information sciences. Given that the study of human-environment systems spans many of these disciplines, specific research problems inherit a broad range of conflicting scale concepts. This paper proposes an epistemological scale continuum that arrays scale perspectives from the realist contention that there are natural scales independent of observers through to the constructionist view that scale is subjective and socially mediated. As seen in biocomplexity and human-environment research more broadly, this scale continuum establishes that scale is not a single measure or object of study, nor is any single definition of scale sufficient for human-environment systems. Viewpoints and tensions among scale epistemologies also suggest several general principles for using scale effectively in human-environment research.  相似文献

对冻结粉质粘土在三轴剪切过程中的结构损伤进行了CT技术动态测试。通过对CT图像及CT数的分析发现:在受载之前冻土结构已经存在孔隙、管状孔隙和低密度区等初始缺陷;变形过程中冻土结构的弹性损伤只占总损伤的比例很小,而结构粘塑性损伤的比例则很大;在三轴剪切过程中和蠕变过程一样存在结构损伤的弱化和强化现象,孔洞几何特征的改变和孔洞的长大、联合,颗粒之间的相互错动及滑移是冻土结构粘塑性损伤发展的重要特征。冻土的结构损伤主要发生在冻土屈服之后,这部分损伤不能用CT数的变化来定量计算。  相似文献

The world famous Klondike goldfields are located in the unglaciated part of west-central Yukon, Canada. Since their discovery over 100 years ago, they have produced an estimated 311 tonnes of gold, primarily from bench and creek placers that are fluvial in origin and range from Pliocene to Holocene in age. Historically, the placers are classified into three levels of gravel with four main units. These include the high-level White Channel Gravel (Pliocene), presently the most important gold-bearing unit, which sits nonconformably on an erosional bedrock surface (i.e., the ‘White Channel strath’) and is overlain and interbedded with the glaciofluvial Klondike Gravel (Pliocene); the intermediate-level gravel (Pleistocene), the least important economically; and the low-level gravel (Pleistocene–Holocene), historically the most important gold-bearing unit, but it has been mined three or four times now. The goldfields originated from the weathering and erosion of early Cretaceous, discordant mesothermal quartz veins, and the light grey color of the matrix of the White Channel Gravel is due mainly to weathering and diagenetic alteration by groundwater flow. The concentration of placer gold is related to a hierarchy of physical scales: at the lithofacies scale (metres), bed roughness determined sites of gold deposition; at the element scale (tens of metres), gravel bars were preferentially enriched in gold; at the reach scale (hundreds of metres), stream gradient was an important factor; at the system scale (hundreds of km), braided river environments transported large amounts of gold; and at the sequence scale (thousands of km), economic placers formed initially in the high-level White Channel Gravel and later in the intermediate-level and low-level gravel. The White Channel strath is interpreted as an erosional ‘tectonic’ terrace that formed during isostatic uplift and under conditions of dynamic equilibrium. The high-level White Channel Gravel and Klondike Gravel are interpreted as a depositional ‘climatic’ terrace that formed during a reversal in the tectonically induced downcutting, which is attributed to the initial and most extensive of the pre-Reid glaciations (3 Ma) in the Yukon. The intermediate-level gravel is interpreted as minor erosional ‘complex response’ terraces that formed during static equilibrium when there were pauses in valley-floor degradation, which are attributed to the subsequent and less extensive pre-Reid glaciations. The low-level gravel formed also during valley-floor degradation and may represent a return to dynamic equilibrium conditions. Hence, the dominant forcing mechanisms controlling the evolution of the goldfields were isostatically compensated exhumation and climatic change related to the repeated glaciation of the Yukon. In addition, the lowering of baselevel from high-level, to intermediate-level and finally to low-level gravel was accompanied by a decrease in accommodation space (as indicated by a decrease in gravel thickness), which resulted in an increase in the concentration of the placer gold.  相似文献

This study outlines an improved method, DIVERSITY, for delineating and rating groundwater sensitivity. It is an acronym for DIspersion/VElocity-Rated SensitivITY, which is based on an assessment of three aquifer characteristics: recharge potential, flow velocity, and flow directions. The primary objective of this method is to produce sensitivity maps at the county or state scale that illustrate intrinsic potential for contamination of the uppermost aquifer. Such maps can be used for recognition of aquifer sensitivity and for protection of groundwater quality. We suggest that overriding factors that strongly affect one or more of the three basic aquifer characteristics may systematically elevate or lower the sensitivity rating. The basic method employs a three-step procedure: (1) Hydrogeologic settings are delineated on the basis of geology and groundwater recharge/discharge position within a terrane. (2) A sensitivity envelope or model for each setting is outlined on a three-component rating graph. (3) Sensitivity ratings derived from the envelope are extrapolated to hydrogeologic setting polygons utilizing overriding and key factors, when appropriate. The three-component sensitivity rating graph employs two logarithmic scales and a relative area scale on which measured and estimated values may be plotted. The flow velocity scale ranging from 0.01 to more than 10,000 m/d is the keystone of the rating graph. Whenever possible, actual time-of-travel values are plotted on the velocity scale to bracket the position of a sensitivity envelope. The DIVERSITY method was developed and tested for statewide use in Kentucky, but we believe it is also practical and applicable for use in almost any other area.  相似文献

Tornadoes are the most destructive winds created by nature. Sometimes tornadoes are strong enough to destroy most things in their path. These types of tornadoes are few compared to all tornadoes confirmed/reported. Currently, existing scales describe severity levels in terms of intensity/magnitude, and they are not sufficient to clearly distinguish the severity level. Several discrepancies between various sources of information complicate the interpretation of trends in tornado data. As a solution to these inconsistencies, a technique is required to compare the severity level of tornadoes. Impact factors, such as the number of fatalities, number of injuries, number of homeless, affected population, affected area, and cost of damage, can be considered to evaluate the severity levels. Prior experience, preparedness, awareness, evolving technology, mitigation methods, and early warning systems may minimize the number of fatalities and injuries. Models are used to identify which of the above factors should be considered in a severity scale to indicate the seriousness of tornadoes. However, the lack of data prevents an in-depth analysis of tornado severity. Extreme value theory is used to study potential severity levels of tornadoes. This paper attempts to develop an initial severity scale for tornadoes, which is a primary stage to develop a multi-dimensional severity scale. This common scale provides the criteria to rank tornadoes and allows the impact of one tornado to be compared to the impact of another tornado. Further, the scale allows the impact of a tornado to be compared to any type of natural disaster that occurs.  相似文献

矿山地质环境的评价对于矿产资源的开发利用、矿山环境的恢复治理有重要意义,在评价工作中最佳评价尺度的确定有助于提高评价结果的精确性和统一性。本次研究从矿山地质环境的评价内容出发,提出一种最佳评价尺度的确定方法。在不同尺度下,将评价区域按照边界划分成网格评价单元,通过定量化评价指标的尺度效应表现(异质性、一致性、信息量、破碎度),求出其随尺度变化的拟合函数,进而建立最佳评价尺度函数,并求出其评价适宜区间和最佳评价尺度。将该方法应用到福建省龙岩市新罗区、三明市大田县矿山地质环境评价中,得到新罗区和大田县的最佳评价尺度适宜区间分别为[997.8 m,1 194 m]、[955.5 m,1 297.8 m],最佳评价尺度分别为1 049.6 m、1 182.1 m。在该评价尺度区间内,所得到的评价结果基本一致,并且在最佳评价尺度下评价结果的效果更好,从而证明了该方法的可行性。研究表明,最佳评价尺度函数受到研究区范围、评价内容分布情况、自然地理情况等因素的综合影响。该研究成果可以为矿山地质环境评价工作中评价尺度的确定提供理论依据。  相似文献

A new damage index to estimate damage to buildings relies on construction costs per square metre, and a replacement ratio which approximates costs relative to the cost of replacing a median-sized family home. Building damage is estimated against a five-point scale with Central Damage Values at 0.02, 0.1, 0.4, 0.75 and 1.0 of the replacement cost.Damage is expressed as damage in House Equivalents (HE) = Replacement Ratio × Central Damage Value. The Damage Index = log2 (HE) provides a simple 0–20 scale covering total damage of less than 1 HE to>1 million HE. For all natural hazard impacts in Australia DI is less than 12.Where the only damage data available are of lesser quality Generic or Qualitative Damage Indices (GDI and QDI) can be used. Radiogenic isotopes have long been used in mineralisation studies, not just for geochronological determinations of mineralising events but also as tracers, providing, for example, information on the source of metals. It was also evident early on that consideration of isotopic data on a regional scale could be used to assist with metallogenic interpretation, including identification of metallogenic terranes. The large amounts of isotopic (and other) data available today, in combination with readily available graphical software, have made possible construction of isotopic maps, using various isotopic variables, at regional to continental scales, allowing for metallogenic interpretation over similarly large regions. Such interpretation has been driven largely by empiricism, but increasingly with a mineral systems approach, recognising that mineral deposits, although geographically small in extent, are the result of geological processes that occur at a variety of scales.This review looks at what radiogenic isotopes can tell us about different mineral systems, from camp- to craton-scale. Examples include identifying lithospheric/crustal architecture and its importance in controlling the locations of mineralisation, the identification of metallogenic terranes and/or favourable geodynamic environments on the basis of their isotopic signatures, and using juvenile isotopic signatures of intrusives to identify metallogenically important rock types. The review concentrates on the Sm–Nd system using felsic igneous rocks and the U–Th–Pb system using galena, Pb-rich ores and other rocks. The Sm–Nd system can be used to effectively ‘see’ through many crustal processes to provide information on the nature of the source of the rocks. For voluminous rocks such as granites this provides a potentially powerful proxy in constraining the nature of the various crustal blocks the granites occur within. In contrast, Pb isotopic data from galena and Pb-rich associated ores provide a more direct link to mineralisation, and the two systems (Pb and Nd) can be used in conjunction to investigate links between mineralisation and crustal domains.In this contribution we document: the more general principles of radiogenic isotopes; the identification of time-independent isotopic parameters; the use of such variable to generate isotopic maps, and the use of the latter for metallogenic studies. Regional and continental scale isotopic maps (and data) can be used to empirically and/or predictively to identify and target (either directly or indirectly by proxy) larger scale parts of mineral systems that may be indicative of, or form part of metallogenic terranes. These include demonstrable empirical relationships between mineral systems and isotopic domains, which can be extracted, tested and applied as predictive tools. Isotopic maps allow the identification of old, especially Archean, cratonic blocks, which may be metallogenically-endowed, or have other favourable characteristics. These maps also assist with identification of potentially favourable paleo-tectonic settings for mineralisation. These include: old continental margins, especially accretionary orogenic settings; and juvenile zones, either marginal or internal, which may indicate extension and possible rifting, or primitive arc crust. Such isotopic maps also aid identification of crustal breaks, which may represent major faults zones and, hence, fluid pathways for fluids and magmas, or serve to delineate natural boundaries for metallogenic terranes. Finally, isotopic maps also act as baseline maps which help to identify regions/periods characterised by greater (or lesser) magmatic, especially mantle input. Of course, in any exploration model, any analysis is predicated on using a wide range of geological, geochemical and geophysical information across a range of scales. Sm–Nd and U–Th–Pb isotopic maps are just another layer to be integrated with other data. Future work should focus on better constraining the 4D (3D plus time) evolution of the lithosphere, by integrating isotopic data with other data, as well as through better integration of available radiogenic isotopic systems, including the voluminous amounts of in situ isotopic analysis (of minerals) now available. This should result in more effective commodity targeting and exploration.  相似文献
