The bathymetry data of marine bodies have been collected over a century, and the collected data have a wide range of resolution and accuracy. Acquisition of bathymetry data is very costly and time-consuming. One can use the old, low-quality bathymetry data to fill the gap in high-quality, recently acquired bathymetry data after correcting the old data to improve its quality so that it is comparable to the high-quality data. The old data correction can be treated as a nonlinear inverse problem. Simulated annealing (SA) global optimization method was used here in solving this problem. The two sets of data that were used are project survey (PS) and Vietnamese Navy Chart (VNC) data. The PS data were collected in 2000 in an offshore survey from the Vietnam coast in the South China Sea (SCS). The VNC data were obtained by digitizing VNC that was published in 1981. Inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation method was used for forward modeling. Weperformed the SA algorithm run starting at a high "temperature," then lowering the "temperature" gradually up to the "critical temperature" and then staying there for the rest of the run. The best model chosen by the algorithm showed an improvement of 63% from the original model. We then constructed a digital bathymetry model (DBM) of the study area with the combined corrected VNC and the PS data.  相似文献

针对目前海底地形构建方面存在的问题与不足,基于普通Kriging的计算公式,以渤海海域采集的离散高程点数据为例,对构建海底地形高程模型的空间插值方法——Kriging方法进行了研究。针对海底地形建模的具体实现,重点对Kriging算法的数据分布检验、数据分组、球形模型拟合、网格化插值以及结果显示等模块进行研究。最后,基于Visual C++6.0平台对海底地形高程的插值过程进行了编程实现和可视化表达,从而成功构建出渤海局部海域的海底地形特征,为海洋科学研究和工程建设提供了参考和依据。  相似文献

This paper investigates the use of data assimilation in coastal area morphodynamic modelling using Morecambe Bay as a study site. A simple model of the bay has been enhanced with a data assimilation scheme to better predict large-scale changes in bathymetry observed in the bay over a 3-year period. The 2DH decoupled morphodynamic model developed for the work is described, as is the optimal interpolation scheme used to assimilate waterline observations into the model run. Each waterline was acquired from a SAR satellite image and is essentially a contour of the bathymetry at some level within the inter-tidal zone of the bay. For model parameters calibrated against validation observations, model performance is good, even without data assimilation. However the use of data assimilation successfully compensates for a particular failing of the model, and helps to keep the model bathymetry on track. It also improves the ability of the model to predict future bathymetry. Although the benefits of data assimilation are demonstrated using waterline observations, any observations of morphology could potentially be used. These results suggest that data assimilation should be considered for use in future coastal area morphodynamic models.  相似文献

We present a large-scale quantitative test of a hyperspectral remote-sensing reflectance algorithm. We show that coastal bathymetry can be adequately derived through model inversions using data from the Airborne Visible-Infrared Imaging Spectrometer instrument. Data are analyzed from a shore-perpendicular transect 5 km offshore Sarasota, Florida at water depths ranging from 10 m to 15.5 m. Derived bottom depths are compared to a high-resolution multibeam bathymetry survey. Model-derived depths are biased 4.9% shallower than the mean of the multibeam depths with an RMS error of 7.83%. These results suggest that the model performs well for retrieving bottom depths from hyperspectral data in subtropical coastal areas in water depths ranging from 10 m to 15.5 m.  相似文献

在水深测量过程中,采集的潮位数据往往存在断缺现象,给水深测量内业工作者造成干扰。针对潮位数据断缺问题,对断缺数据简单预处理后,利用ARMA模型对潮位数据序列变化规律进行分析,拟合潮位时间序列数据变化趋势,然后将拟合的值内插到数据断缺处,以建立完整的潮位改正文件,最后对拟合模型进行精度评价分析。实验结果表明,拟合模型精度良好,可以快速获取符合要求的插值,提高工作效率。  相似文献

在多波束测深趋势面滤波构建趋势面模型的过程中,其模型变量线性相关时,系数阵存在复共线性,因此将主成分估计的方法应用于趋势面模型系数的求解,从而避免了复共线性的影响,最后通过实测数据进行实验,分别利用最小二乘算法和主成分估计求解二次趋势面模型。比较计算结果,验证了主成分估计算法的有效性。  相似文献

This study proposes a new methodology for mosaicing airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) bathymetry (ALB) data based on Monte Carlo matching. Various errors occur in ALB data due to imperfect system integration and other interference factors. To account for these errors, a Monte Carlo matching algorithm based on a nonlinear least-squares adjustment model is proposed. First, the raw data of strip overlap areas were filtered according to their relative drift of depths. Second, a Monte Carlo model and nonlinear least-squares adjustment model were combined to obtain seven transformation parameters. Then, the multibeam bathymetric data were used to correct the initial strip during strip mosaicing. Finally, to evaluate the proposed method, the experimental results were compared with the results of the Iterative Closest Points (ICP) and three-dimensional Normal Distributions Transform (3D-NDT) algorithms. The results demonstrate that the algorithm proposed in this study is more robust and effective. When the quality of the raw data is poor, the Monte Carlo matching algorithm can still achieve centimeter-level accuracy for overlapping areas, which meets the accuracy of bathymetry required by IHO Standards for Hydrographic Surveys Special Publication No.44.  相似文献

A consistent coupled-mode model recently developed by Athanassoulis and Belibassakis [1], is generalized in 2+1 dimensions and applied to the diffraction of small-amplitude water waves from localized three-dimensional scatterers lying over a parallel-contour bathymetry. The wave field is decomposed into an incident field, carrying out the effects of the background bathymetry, and a diffraction field, with forcing restricted on the surface of the localized scatterer(s). The vertical distribution of the wave potential is represented by a uniformly convergent local-mode series containing, except of the ususal propagating and evanescent modes, an additional mode, accounting for the sloping bottom boundary condition. By applying a variational principle, the problem is reduced to a coupled-mode system of differential equations in the horizontal space. To treat the unbounded domain, the Berenger perfectly matched layer model is optimized and used as an absorbing boundary condition. Computed results are compared with other simpler models and verified against experimental data. The inclusion of the sloping-bottom mode in the representation substantially accelerates its convergence, and thus, a few modes are enough to obtain accurately the wave potential and velocity up to and including the boundaries, even in steep bathymetry regions. The present method provides high-quality information concerning the pressure and the tangential velocity at the bottom, useful for the study of oscillating bottom boundary layer, sea-bed movement and sediment transport studies.  相似文献

Remote sensing bathymetry inversion can quickly obtain water depth data of large areas, but this process relies on a large number of in-situ depth data points. USV-based (Unmanned Surface Vehicle) technique can obtain the bathymetry data of shallow water where ordinary ships are inaccessible, but this technique is inefficient and generally only data along survey line can be collected. The combination of USV and high-resolution remote sensing provides a new solution for water depth surveying and mapping around an island. This paper focuses on the key techniques, using USV sounding data and GeoEye-1 multispectral remote sensing images covering the region of Wuzhizhou island in the experiment. The results show that the MAE (Mean Absolute Error) of USV sounding is 0.25 m, while the MRE (Mean Relative Error) is 1.41%, and the MRE of remote sensing bathymetry aided by USV sounding can be controlled within 20%. Errors are mainly from areas shallower than 5 m, and are also affected by the USV sounding position accuracy. It shows that it is feasible to combine the USV sounding and high-resolution remote sensing bathymetry, and this technique has broad application prospects in the field of bathymetry in large shallow areas.  相似文献

岛礁具有重要的地位,然而对其附近水深的调查手段却不充分。比较了几种水深测绘手段的优缺点,设计了一种小型自动表面船用于岛礁水深测绘。该表面船底部安装声学测深仪,具备自动定位、导航与运动功能;其尾部安装两个电动推进器提供动力,通过独立控制两个推进器的转速,可实现船体的前进、后退和转向;利用无线电与岸基单元进行数据通讯。根据不同水深测绘条件,该船可以用三种控制方式进行水深测量:直接控制、间接控制和自主控制。测量数据实时传输到岸基单元,并自动存储于船载存储单元。初步试验结果表明,设计的自动表面船测量系统具有可行性。  相似文献

High-resolution, side-looking sonar data collected near the seafloor (100 m altitude) provide important structural and topographic information for defining the geological history and current tectonic framework of seafloor terrains. DSL-120 kHz sonar data collected in the rift valley of the Lucky Strike segment of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge near 37° N provide the ability to quantitatively assess the effective resolution limits of both the sidescan imagery and the computed phase-bathymetry of this sonar system. While the theoretical, vertical and horizontal pixel resolutions of the DSL-120 system are <1 m, statistical analysis of DSL-120 sonar data collected from the Lucky Strike segment indicates that the effective spatial resolution of features is 1–2 m for sidescan imagery and 4 m for phase-bathymetry in the seafloor terrain of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge rift valley. Comparison of multibeam bathymetry data collected at the sea-surface with deep-tow DSL-120 bathymetry indicates that depth differences are on the order of the resolution of the multibeam system (10–30 m). Much of this residual can be accounted for by navigational mismatches and the higher resolving ability of the DSL-120 data, which has a bathymetric footprint on the seafloor that is 20 times smaller than that of hull-mounted multibeam at these seafloor depths (2000 m). Comparison of DSL-120 bathymetry with itself on crossing lines indicates that residual depth values are ±20 m, with much of that variation being accounted for by navigational errors. A DSL-120 survey conducted in 1998 on the Juan de Fuca Ridge with better navigation and less complex seafloor terrain had residual depth values half those of the Lucky Strike survey. The quality of the bathymetry data varies as a function of position within the swath, with poorer data directly beneath the tow vehicle and also towards the swath edges.Variations in sidescan amplitude observed across the rift valley and on Lucky Strike Seamount correlate well with changes in seafloor roughness caused by transitions from sedimented seafloor to bare rock outcrops. Distinct changes in sonar backscatter amplitude were also observed between areas covered with hydrothermal pavement that grade into lava flows and the collapsed surface of the lava lake in the summit depression of Lucky Strike Seamount. Small features on the seafloor, including volcanic constructional features (e.g., small cones, haystacks, fissures and collapse features) and hydrothermal vent chimneys or mounds taller than 2 m and greater than 9 m2 in surface area, can easily be resolved and mapped using this system. These features at Lucky Strike have been confirmed visually using the submersible Alvin, the remotely operated vehicle Jason, and the towed optical/acoustic mapping system Argo II.  相似文献

本文在研究多源水深数据构建技术的基础上,分析了张力样条插值算法和“移去-恢复”法的多源水深数据融合处理技术,基于该方法选取实验区,利用多波束、单波束、历史海图等多源水深数据进行高精度海底地形融合试验,并针对多源水深融合技术缺少误差评估的现状,利用split-sample方法对融合结果进行水深不确定性评估,形成融合结果的可靠性空间分布。结果表明该方法无论是在数据稀疏区还是高密度区都达到了较好的融合效果,既保留了高分辨率水深数据的细节信息,又较真实的反映了研究区海底地形特征,且构建的海底地形精度可靠,误差百分比集中在0.5%。本文整套数据融合和结果评估方法可为多源水深数据融合的海底高精度地形构建提供借鉴和参考。  相似文献

经验正交函数(EOF)是描述声速剖面的有效基函数,通常只需要前几阶EOF即可较为精确地表示声速剖面。但使用EOF重构的声速剖面进行多波束测量声速改正时,选取的阶次未必满足多波束测深精度要求。针对此问题,首先介绍了EOF表示声速剖面的原理及流程,然后以北海某区域实测声速剖面数据为例,分析了不同阶次EOF拟合声速剖面误差以及不同阶次EOF拟合声速剖面对多波束测深的影响,最后结合NOAA对多波束测量声速剖面误差造成的水深限差要求确定EOF阶次,实现了在满足多波束测深精度的同时,合理确定EOF阶次的目的。  相似文献

在多光谱遥感浅海水深反演过程中,考虑到水体和底质影响,水深值和海水表面辐射亮度之间的线性关系不成立。本文以甘泉岛南部0~25m范围的沙质区域为研究区域,利用GeoEye-1多光谱遥感影像和多波束实测水深数据构建XGBoost非线性水深反演模型,研究了XGBoost算法用于水深反演的性能。以决定系数(R~2),均方误差(MSE)和平均绝对误差(MAE)作为评价指标,并与3种传统线性回归模型进行了对比分析。结果表明, XGBoost非线性水深反演模型的R~2、MSE和MAE分别为0.991、0.33m和0.44m,拟合程度最好,精度优于线性回归模型。为进一步探究各模型在不同水深的反演精度,将水深范围分成3段(0~8 m, 8~15 m, 15~25 m)分别进行精度验证和误差分析。结果表明, XGBoost模型在各分段的精度均优于线性回归模型, MSE依次为0.56 m, 0.14 m和0.43 m。可见,在单一底质区域下XGBoost模型的水深反演精度更高,且反演效果更稳定。  相似文献

The common approach to analysing data collected with multibeam and sidescan sonars is to visually interpret charts of contoured bathymetry and mosaics of seabed images. However, some of the information content is lost by processing the data into charts because this involves some averaging; the analysis might uncover more information if done on the data at an earlier stage in the processing. Motivated by this potential, I have created a software system which can be used to analyse data collected with Simrad EM1000 (shallow water) and EM12 (deep water) multibeam sonars, as well as to generate bathymetry contour charts and backscatter mosaics. The system includes data preprocessing, such as navigation filtering, depth filtering (removal of outlying values), and amplitude mapping using the multibeam bathymetry to correctly position image pixels across the swath. The data attributes that can be analysed include the orientation and slope of the seafloor, and the mean signal strength for each sounding. To determine bathymetry attributes such as slope, the soundings across a number of beams and across a series of pings are grouped and a least-squares plane fitted to them. Bathymetric curvature is obtained by detrending the grouped data using the least-squares plane and fitting a paraboloid to the residuals. The magnitudes and signs of the paraboloid's coefficients reveal depressions and hills and their orientations. Furthermore, the seafloor geology can be classified using a simple combination of these attributes. For example, flat-lying sediments can be classified where the backscatter, slope and curvature fall below specified values.  相似文献

We have developed a new software package, called MB-System, for processing and display of Hydrosweep DS multibeam data on the R/V Maurice Ewing. The new software includes tools for modeling water sound velocity profiles, calculating multibeam bathymetry from travel time values by raytracing through a water sound velocity profile, interactive and automatic editing of multibeam bathymetry, as well as a variety of tools for the manipulation and display of multibeam data. A modular input/output library allows MB-System programs to access and manipulate data in any of a number of supported swath-mapping sonar data formats, including data collected on Hydrosweep DS, Sea-Beam Classic, SeaBeam 2000, SeaBeam 2100, H-MR1, Simrad EM12, and other sonars. Examples are presented of the software's application to Hydrosweep data recently collected on the R/V Maurice Ewing.  相似文献
