In this paper,we present the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST)observations of PSRs B1929+10 and B1842+14.Through analysis of the pulsars’scintillation pattern,we detected the known scintillation arc from PSR B1929+10 and two previously undetected scintillation arcs from B1842+14.We find that the B1929+10 arc’s curvature scales with observing frequency asη-∝ν-2.1±0.1 andη+∝ν-1.8±0.2,consistent with Arecibo results and the theoretical expectations ofη∝ν-2.From the arc curvature,we infer the scattering screen to be located at 0.20±0.02 kpc from the Earth,close to what was measured by RadioAstron at 324 MHz.From B1842+14,we find two scintillation arcs for the first time.The arcs’curvatures imply that they are caused by two scattering screens located at a distance of 0.3±0.2 kpc and 1.6±0.6 kpc from the Earth,respectively.The screen distance uncertainties mainly come from the uncertainty in pulsar’s dispersion measure(DM)-derived distance.We present these FAST scintillation observations and discuss the future prospect of FAST pulsar scintillation study. 相似文献

Lorimer et al. have recently reported that the spin-down age (∼7 × 109 yr) of the low-mass binary pulsar PSR J1012+5307 is much higher than the cooling age (3 × 108 yr) of its white dwarf companion. The proposed solutions for this discrepancy are outlined and discussed. In particular, the revised cooling age estimate proposed by Alberts et al. agrees with data from other low-mass binary pulsar systems if a transition to the 'classical' cooling regime occurs between ∼0.14 and ∼0.28 M⊙ . If this transition is excluded, PSR J1012+5307 seems to have finished its accretion phase far from the spin-up line. 相似文献

PSR J1906+0746是2006年发现的一颗自旋周期为144 ms的射电脉冲星,由于探测到的是第2颗形成的非自转加速伴星,主星和伴星组成的系统极有可能成为另一对双脉冲星.从PSR J1906+0746的基本物理量出发,针对性地对比研究双中子星和脉冲双星(包括中子星-白矮星)的磁场-周期关系,大致得出他们的演化路径;其次通过双中子星的形成机制以及双星形成过程中的物质损失,假定非自转加速的伴星形成于电子俘获,得出伴星前身星的质量约为1.57 M⊙,在形成双中子星系统过程中损失了约0.23 M⊙.这可能是由于电子俘获能量较低,不能抗衡伴星的引力束缚能,最终抛出物质没有逃逸,形成了一个椭圆环,成功解释了在X射线波段观测到的围绕着PSR J1906+0746的环结构. 相似文献

利用新疆天文台25 m射电望远镜2003—2009年对PSR B0329+54长达453 h的观测数据,研究了这颗源在1540 MHz上正常模式和反常模式的轮廓稳定性时标.通过不同时间的积分脉冲轮廓与参考轮廓交叉相关系数分析,发现随积分时间的增加,两种模式的轮廓先是以较快的速度趋于稳定,在积分时间增加到约(4±1) min时,轮廓趋稳速率放缓,当积分时间达到(140±60) min (正常模式)或达到(65±15) min (反常模式)时,轮廓趋稳速度再次变快.相关系数的结果显示两种模式的轮廓在绝大多数积分时标上都不是完全随机的涨落.如果以发生轮廓趋稳速率从快到慢转变所需的积分时间作为轮廓稳定时标的判据,两种模式的稳定时标均大约为5 min.轮廓中不同成分强度比例的涨落随积分时间的变化关系各不相同,由此可以推断3个成分强度涨落性质有差异.造成轮廓趋稳行为在不同时标上有明显差异的原因有观测噪声和星际闪烁等. 相似文献

We report the results from our analysis of Fermi Large Area Telescope(LAT) data for the transitional millisecond pulsar binary PSR J1023+0038. The time period of the data is nearly 9 yr, and that after the source's transition, in June 2013 from the disk-free state to the active state of having an accretion disk, is approximately 4 yr. We identify a high-energy 5.5 GeV component in the source's spectrum in the active state, and find this component is only significantly detected in half of the orbital phase centered at the descending node(when the pulsar is moving towards the Earth). Considering the pulsar scenario proposed for multi-frequency emission from the source, in which the pulsar is still active and a cold-relativistic pulsar wind inverse-Compton scatters the photons from the accretion disk, we discuss the origin of the high-energy component. In order to explain the observed spectrum, a power-law distribution of particles, with an index of ~3, in the pulsar wind is required, while the orbital variations are possibly due to changes in power-law index as a function of orbital phase. 相似文献

对欧洲γ天文卫星COS-B数据的分析表明,从PSR 1951 32方向来的30—5000MeVγ光子到达时间具有显著的周期位相结构。我们用相关分析方法研究了该脉冲星附近天区γ光子强度的空间分布,求出100MeV和300MeV能量处脉冲星γ射线的积分流强:F(E>100MeV)=4.1×10~(-7)ph·cm~( 2)·s~(-1),F(E>300MeV)=8×10~(-8)·ph·cm~(-2)·s~(-1)。PSR1951 32方向的γ光子大部分为周期性成分,并且集中在一个相当窄的相位区域内。 相似文献

Timing analysis of PSR J1705–1906 using data from Nanshan 25-m and Parkes 64-m radio telescopes, which span over fourteen years, shows that the pulsar exhibits significant proper motion, and rotation instability. We updated the astrometry parameters and the spin parameters of the pulsar. In order to minimize the effect of timing irregularities on measuring its position, we employ the Cholesky method to analyse the timing noise. We obtain the proper motion of \(-77(3)\) mas?yr?1 in right ascension and \(-38(29)\) mas?yr?1 in declination. The power spectrum of timing noise is analyzed for the first time, which gives the spectral exponent \(\alpha =-5.2\) for the power-law model indicating that the fluctuations in spin frequency and spin-down rate dominate the red noise. We detect two small glitches from this pulsar with fractional jump in spin frequency of \(\Delta \nu /\nu \sim 2.9 \times 10^{-10}\) around MJD 55199 and \(\Delta \nu /\nu \sim 2.7\times 10^{-10}\) around MJD 55953. Investigations of pulse profile at different time segments suggest no significant changes in the pulse profiles around the two glitches. 相似文献

Simultaneously measured line intensities of Ca+ K and H, H, H and He D3 are presented and compared with recent model calculations by Heasley and Milkey (1978). The model calculations are compatible with the observations. There is indication that the observed branching of the relation E(Ca+ K and H) E(H) depends on the widths of the Ca+-lines. 相似文献
