GT型土壤固化剂改良土的工程特性研究   总被引:18,自引:3,他引:15  
GT型土壤固化剂是一种新型的土壤改性加固材料,以高钙灰和脱硫石膏两种工业废料为主要原料,辅以生石灰、水泥、熟石膏、硫酸铝及明矾石等次要成分,采用生石灰消解法除去脱硫石膏中的自由水,按全粉料配料的方法研制而成。按一定掺量向土中掺入石灰和GT型土壤固化剂制成石灰改良土样和固化剂改良土样并进行养护、浸水,对土样进行击实试验、直剪试验、压缩试验和渗透试验。试验结果表明固化剂改良土的击实效果、抗剪强度、压缩性、抗渗透性等工程特性明显优于石灰改良土。分析了GT型土壤固化剂加固土的机理,为进一步的研究和工程应用提供参考。  相似文献

Assessing desertification by using soil indices   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Desertification generally refers to land degradation in arid, semiarid, and dry semi-humid climatic zones. It involves five principal processes: vegetation degradation, water erosion, wind erosion, salinization and waterlogging, and soil crusting and compaction. The aim of this study is assessing desertification using soil criteria. For this purpose, nine indices including sodium absorption ratio (SAR), soil gypsum percentage, soil texture, the content of HCO3 ?, the percentage of the organic matter, electrical conductivity (EC), pH, the content of the soil sodium, and chloride were used. The soil samples were taken in the north of Zayandeh-Rood River in Isfahan province of Iran, using soil data randomly sampled in a depth of 0–20 cm. After assessing the normality of the samples using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, indices were imported into GIS environment and interpolated with IDW and normal and discrete kriging methods for delineating soil characteristics maps based on MEDALUS model. In this model, the data were firstly changed from 100 to 200. Thus 100 and 200 are estimated as the best and worst quality, respectively. Then the final map of soil criteria has been created by geometric mean of its indicators. The results showed that the maximum area is related to the medium class of desertification and is equal to 44,746 ha. The areas of severe and very severe classes of desertification are equal to 30,949 and 351 ha, respectively. The results also revealed that the indices of the organic matter and soil gypsum percentage are the most influential indices which affect desertification phenomenon.  相似文献

Phosphorus (P) can limit crop production in many soils, and soil testing is used to guide fertilizer recommendations. The Mehlich III (M3) soil test is widely used in North America, followed by colorimetric analysis for P, or by inductively coupled plasma-based spectrometry (ICP) for P and cations. However, differences have been observed in M3 P concentrations measured by these methods. Using 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (P-NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS), we characterized P forms in M3 extracts. In addition to the orthophosphate that would be detected during colorimetric analysis, several organic P forms were present in M3 extracts that would be unreactive colorimetrically but measured by ICP (molybdate unreactive P, MUP). Extraction of these P forms by M3 was confirmed by P-NMR and MS in NaOH-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid extracts of whole soils and residues after M3 extraction. The most abundant P form in M3 extracts was myo-inositol hexaphosphate (myo-IHP, phytate), a compound that may not contribute to plant-available P if tightly sorbed in soil. Concentrations of myo-IHP and other organic P forms varied among soils, and even among treatment plots on the same soil. Extraction of myo-IHP in M3 appeared to be linked to cations, with substantially more myo-IHP extracted from soils fertilized with alum-treated poultry litter than untreated litter. These results suggest that ICP analysis may substantially over-estimate plant-available P in samples with high MUP concentrations, but there is no way at present to determine MUP concentrations without analysis by both colorimetry and ICP. This study also tested procedures that will improve future soil P-NMR studies, such as treatment of acid extracts, and demonstrated that techniques such as P-NMR and MS are complimentary, each yielding additional information that analysis by a single technique may not provide.

A study has been done for analysing soil nailed cuts with circular type wedge failure by friction circle method. Various parameters such as nail length, nail diameter, nail inclination, wall inclination and angle of internal friction of soil have been considered to determine the factor of safety of nailed open cuts. The study shows that for cohesionless soil nailed cut, factor of safety increase with increase of parameters like angle of internal friction of soil, length of nail (L) versus height of cut (H) ratio, cohesion of soil and nail inclination (upto 15°) with horizontal. The study revealed that nails grouted with cement perform better than driven nails. A case study further confirms the analytical findings. Received 7 October  相似文献

Modeling soil collapse by artificial neural networks   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The feasibility of using neural networks to model the complex relationship between soil parameters, loading conditions, and the collapse potential is investigated in this paper. A back propagation neural network process was used in this study. The neural network was trained using experimental data. The experimental program involved the assessment of the collapse potential using the one-dimensional oedometer apparatus. To cover the broadest possible scope of data, a total of eight types of soils were selected covering a wide range of gradation. Various conditions of water content, unit weights and applied pressures were imposed on the soils. For each placement condition, three samples were prepared and tested with the measured collapse potential values averaged to obtain a representative data point. This resulted in 414 collapse tests with 138 average test values, which were divided into two groups. Group I, consisting of 82 data points, was used to train the neural networks for a specific paradigm. Training was carried out until the mean sum squared error (MSSE) was minimized. The model consisting of eight hidden nodes and six variables was the most successful. These variables were: soil coefficient of uniformity, initial water content, compaction unit weight, applied pressure at wetting, percent sand and percent clay. Once the neural networks have been deemed fully trained its accuracy in predicting collapse potential was tested using group II of the experimental data. The model was further validated using information available in the literature. The data used in both the testing and validation phases were not included in the training phase. The results proved that neural networks are very efficient in assessing the complex behavior of collapsible soils using minimal processing of data. 对含有各种大孔隙的原状土柱和已知直径大孔隙的填充土柱进行CT扫描实验,阐明CT扫描原理和过程,对CT图像进行处理,得到大孔隙数目、大小、形状和连通性在土柱横断面和纵断面上的分布.采用图像处理软件Photoshop、地理信息系统软件ARC/INFO和Mapinfo分析结果表明:CT扫描是一种有发展前景的、非破坏性的确定土壤大孔隙分布的方法.  相似文献

Studies were conducted to characterize soil humin by acid hydrolysis.Two humin samples collected from two different types of soil,namely chernozem and laterite,which are widespread over a vast area from the north to south of China,were hyrolyzed under reflux with 0.5M H2SO4or 3M H2SO4for 4h.The results showed that 25%-29% of organic carbon and 46%-54%of organic nitrogen could be hydrolyzed by 0.5M H2SO4;36%-40%of organic carbon and 93%-97% of organic nitrogen hydrolyzed by 3M H2SO4.The C/N ration in hydrolyzed organic matter is lower than that in soil humin and that in organic matter hydrolyzed by 3M H2SO4 is lower than that in organic matter hydrolyzed by 0.5M H2SO4.The proportion of nitrogen hydrolyzed from humin is markedly larger than that from the original soil and also markedly larger than that from humic acid fraction.Only 3%-7% of nitrogen in humin exists in a relatively stable from,which is not easy to hydrolyze.There in little nitrogen that occurs in the form of heterocyclic rings in humin.Incubation experiments showed that the newly formed organic matter can be hydrolyzed more easily.  相似文献

Column experiments were conducted to experimentally simulate the initial conditions at a field site where legacy As contamination was caused by application of arsenolite as a herbicide to the soil. The experiments were designed to investigate the influence of herbicide loading and carbonate gravel cover on the release of As to, and the As adsorption capacity of, the background soil. The results showed that the As release from the doubly spiked column was three times higher than for the singly spiked columns. The addition of gravel above the herbicide layer halved the leaching time needed for peak As release from the soil. Extrapolation of the experimental data predicted that the columns with carbonate gravel should retain more As (15.6 g for column FWAsG and 12.3 g for column F2AsG) than the column without gravel (0.13 g for column FWAs). The results also indicated the thickness of the arsenolite layer was not important in terms of the As retention capacity of the soil columns. Arsenate was detected and quantified in the effluent solutions by ion chromatography. The data indicated As(III) dominated in the effluents for the first 180 pore volumes (PVs). After 180 PVs, As(III) almost disappeared and As(V) dominated in the effluents. The unexpected high As peak release from the doubly spiked column FW2AsG indicated that solutions having higher As(III) concentrations had a higher capability to dissolve arsenolite, possibly through solute–solute interactions or polymerization. Effluent solution Eh–pH values indicated that As(V) was the thermodynamically stable form of As throughout the experiments. Therefore, As(III) dominance in the initial column effluent solutions was kinetically controlled.  相似文献

Ingestion of soil is a common behaviour in young children as a means of exploring their surroundings. Much attention has been given to remediation of point-source polluted sites with regard to potential health risks for children. However, because of diffuse pollution and long-range atmospheric deposition, soil contaminant levels are generally increased in urban areas compared to their rural counterparts, even in areas located away from any point sources of pollution. Intake of urban soil can thereby result in significant amounts of the child’s daily metal intake. In the present study, soil samples were collected from 25 playgrounds around urban Uppsala, Sweden and analysed for contents of Al, As, Fe, Cr, Cu, Cd, Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, W and Zn. Prior to aqua regia digestion, the samples were wet-sieved in order to separate soil particle fractions representing deliberate (<4 mm) and involuntary (<50 μm) soil ingestion by children, as well as a third size fraction of 50–100 μm representing soil that is easily transported by suspension. While the metal and As contents in the 50–100 μm fraction were similar to those of the <4 mm fraction, the <50 μm fraction had metal and As contents on average one and a half times higher than those of the <4 mm fraction. The metal and As contents correlated negatively with the sand content in both particle size fractions <4 mm and 50–100 μm, suggesting a general decrease in metal and As content with increasing sand content. However, a positive correlation was found between sand content and the metal and As contents of the finest fraction (<50 μm), suggesting that when the sand content is high, the bulk of the sorbed elements are on the finest particles. The difference between metal and As contents in the different size fractions was greater in the soil sample with the highest sand content than in the sample with the lowest sand content. This implies that texture is a significant factor in metal and As distribution in soils with moderate metal and As contents, when the number of binding sites associated with small particles is low. Tolerable daily intake (TDI) values for Pb and As were exceeded at all sites, and at two sites for Cd, for children with pica behaviour. A high ingestion rate of mainly small particles could also result in the TDI value for Pb being exceeded at 10 sites and that for As at one site. This study also found that soil analysis by the procedure recommended by Swedish authorities accurately represents the metal intake from deliberate soil ingestion, whereas involuntary soil ingestion of mainly small particles could result in metal intakes which are up to twice as high.  相似文献

通过大型振动台试验,对滑面附近位置处的动土压力峰值分布规律进行了分析。由于地震信号具有持时短、非平稳性等特点,为分析其在不同频带的动力响应情况,利用小波包分析频带划分均匀能力和时频局部化性质,对水平向加载的El波进行了分解,从而对其频谱特性进行了研究。试验结果表明:滑面附近位置处动土压力常常最大,且动土压力在沿桩身高度25 cm及45 cm处均出现了突变,在实际工程中应重点关注这两个位置;对微型桩动土压力影响较大的频段主要为第一频带(0.1~6.26Hz)和第二频带(6.26~12.51Hz),在工程应用中应避免这两个频带的地震波与微型桩发生共振;沿桩身高度25 cm处,后排微型桩山侧及河侧的动土压力值均要大于前排微型桩山侧及河侧的动土压力值;而在沿桩身高度45 cm处,前排微型桩山侧及河侧的动土压力值均要大于后排微型桩山侧及河侧的动土压力值。  相似文献

用室内三轴试验方法研究了草根加筋土的应力-应变及强度特性,探讨了在不同加筋情况下草根加筋土抗剪强度指标的变化规律,分析了素土和草根加筋土的变形破坏模式以及筋材在土体剪切过程中的阻抗机理。试验结果表明:(1)草根加筋土的强度和抵抗变形的能力较素土有显著的增强;(2)对于抗剪强度指标,与素土相比草根加筋土的内摩擦角变化较小(相对变化率绝对值在11 %以内),但黏聚力增长较大(最大可达9倍);(3)在草根加筋层数一定的情况下,随着加筋量的增加,草根加筋土的主应力差值、抗剪强度值以及黏聚力值呈现先增加后降低的趋势,亦即加筋层数相同时存在最佳含根量。本研究结果对于深入认识植被护坡机理和合理选择植被密度具有指导意义。  相似文献

A Genetic Algorithm (GA) is described, which produces solutions to the cost optimization problem of reinforcement layout for reinforced soil slopes. These solutions incorporate different types of reinforcement within a single slope. The GA described is implemented with the aim of optimizing the cost of materials for the preliminary layout of reinforced soil embankments. The slope design method chosen is the U.K. Department of Transport HA 68/94 ‘Design Methods for the Reinforcement of Highway Slopes by Reinforced Soil and Soil Nailing Techniques’. Collapsing soils, which undergo a large decrease in bulk volume virtually instantaneously upon saturation and/or load application, are found in arid and semi-arid regions of the world. In the western and midwestern U.S., problems resulting from collapsing soils are being recognized due to rapid industrial and urban developments. A probabilistic analysis of the distribution of such soils would be a rational approach for quantifying risk involved for a project in an area where such soils are found. Indicator kriging was applied to seven sets of collapse and collapse-related soil parameters to obtain the probability that a certain parameter is more or less than a predefined critical value for low, medium, and high collapse susceptibility. Results are presented in the form of probability contour plots with known variance of estimation of the probability. The ability to predict the probability of occurrence of collapse and collapse-related soil parameters for different critical values with a known degree of certainty is invaluable to planners, developers, and geotechnical engineers.  相似文献

Previous studies in our laboratory have demonstrated that drinking-water treatment residuals are effective sorbents of arsenic V. However, the effect of soil solution chemistry on arsenic V sorption by drinking-water treatment residuals-amended soils remains to be explored. The current study uses a batch incubation experimental set up to evaluate the effect of soil solution pH, competing ligands, and complexing metal on arsenic V sorption by a sandy soil (Immokalee series) amended with two rates (25 and 50 g kg?1) of aluminum and iron-based drinking-water treatment residuals. Experiments were conducted at three initial arsenic loads (125, 1,875, 3,750 mg kg?1) and a constant solid: solution ratio of 200 g L?1. An optimum equilibration time of 8 days, obtained from kinetic studies, was utilized for sorption experiments with both aluminum and iron drinking-water treatment residual-amended soil. Presence of phosphate decreased arsenic V sorption by both aluminum and iron drinking-water treatment residual amended soils, with a strong dependence on pH, drinking-water treatment residual types, drinking-water treatment residual application rates, and phosphate concentrations. Addition of sulfate had no effect on arsenic V sorption by aluminum or iron drinking-water treatment residual-amended soil. A complementing effect of calcium on arsenic V sorption was observed at higher pH. Results elucidating the effect of soil solution chemistry on the arsenic V sorption will be helpful in calibrating drinking-water treatment residual as a sorbent for remediation of arsenic-contaminated soils.  相似文献

CTMAB是一种新型的有机阳离子表面活性剂,采用CTMAB对天然膨胀土进行了化学改良试验研究,探讨了其改良机制和改良效果。试验结果表明:经过改良剂改良后的膨胀土与原状土相比,其塑性和膨胀性得到了明显降低,水稳定性有了显著提高,在经过不同次数的反复溶漓后,土样仍具有一定的强度。说明了CTMAB对膨胀土的工程性质有一定的改善作用。该成果已申请获得了国家发明专利。  相似文献

In many cases the spatial distribution patterns of elements in soils - especially where geochemical response is weak - is erratic and incoherent and poorly defines underlying mineralized zones; frequency distributions of elements are characteristically positively skewed. Geochemical soil survey data for Cu, Pb, and Zn from around the Key Anacon massive sulphide deposit in New Brunswick, Canada, are used to illustrate an interpretative technique useful in these situations. Calculation of mean element values of all samples within non-overlapping blocks eliminates random background noise and enhances significant spatial trends. Frequency curves of the block means tend to normality if the spatial distribution is random; the frequency curves emphasize the skewness or become polymodal if the spatial distribution is systematic. The only critical step in this simple interpretative procedure is the determination of the appropriate block size for the particular sample density relative to the areal size of the geochemical response to the target.  相似文献
