Results are given for the stability regions in the -e plane of the triangular points in the elliptic restricted three-body problem. This has been done by using the two independent second-order sets of equations, as derived by Tschauner (1971a). A new property is being used in the numerical computation, which saves up more than 50% of computer time and is also applicable to the fourth order system. One of Tschauner's (1974) transition curves (derived from analytic approximations) didn't show up here. This seems to confirm Danby's result that thee axis is a transition curve.  相似文献

We consider an elliptic restricted four-body system including three primaries and a massless particle. The orbits of the primaries are elliptic, and the massless particle moves under the mutual gravitational attraction. From the dynamic equations, a quasi-integral is obtained, which is similar to the Jacobi integral in the circular restricted three-body problem (CRTBP). The energy constant \(C\) determines the topology of zero velocity surfaces, which bifurcate at the equilibrium point. We define the concept of Hill stability in this problem, and a criterion for stability is deduced. If the actual energy constant \(C_{\mathrm{ac}}\ ( {>} 0 ) \) is bigger than or equal to the critical energy constant \(C_{\mathrm{cr}}\), the particle will be Hill stable. The critical energy constant is determined by the mass and orbits of the primaries. The criterion provides a way to capture an asteroid into the Earth–Moon system.  相似文献

This paper provides a study on the connection between Hill stability and weak stability in the framework of the spatial elliptic restricted three-body problem. We determine a necessary condition for weak stability by giving an upper and a lower bound of qualitative measure of the Hill stability. The sufficient condition for weak stability and the symmetry of weak stable regions around the planets of the Solar System is also investigated.  相似文献

This work considers periodic solutions, arc-solutions (solutions with consecutive collisions) and double collision orbits of the plane elliptic restricted problem of three bodies for =0 when the eccentricity of the primaries,e p , varies from 0 to 1. Characteristic curves of these three kinds of solutions are given.  相似文献

The linear stability of the inner collinear equilibrium point of the photogravitational elliptic restricted three-body problem is examined and the stability regions are determined in the space of the parameters of mass, eccentricity and radiation pressure. The case of equal radiation factors of the two primaries is considered and the full range of values of the common radiation factor is explored, from the caseq 1 =q 2 =q = 1/8 at which the triangular equilibria disappear by coalescing on the rotating axis of the primaries transferring their stability to the collinear point, down toq = 0 at which value the stability regions in theµ - e plane disappear by shrinking down to zero size. It is found that radiation pressure exerts a significant influence on the stability regions. For certain intervals of radiation values these regions become qualitatively different from the gravitational case as well as the solar system case. They evolve as in the case of the triangular equilibrium point considered in a previous paper. There exist values of the common radiation factor, in the range considered, for which the collinear equilibrium point is stable for the entire range of mass distribution among the primaries and for large eccentricities of their orbits.  相似文献

The main goal of this paper is to show that the elliptic restricted three-body problem has ejection-collision orbits when the mass parameter µ is small enough. We make use of the blow up techniques. Moreover, we describe the global flow of the elliptic problem when µ = 0 taking into account the singularities due to collision and to infinity.  相似文献

The size of the stable region around the Lagrangian point L 4 in the elliptic restricted three-body problem is determined by numerical integration as a function of the mass parameter and eccentricity of the primaries. The size distribution of the stable regions in the mass parameter-eccentricity plane shows minima at certain places that are identified with resonances between the librational frequencies of motions around L 4. These are computed from an approximate analytical equation of Rabe relating the frequency, mass parameter and eccentricity. Solutions of this equation are determined numerically and the global behaviour of the frequencies depending on the mass parameter and eccentricity is shown and discussed. The minimum sizes of the stable regions around L 4 change along the resonances and the relative strength of the resonances is analysed. Applications to possible Trojan exoplanets are indicated. Escape from L 4 is also investigated.  相似文献

Special solutions of the planar rectilinear elliptic restricted 3-body problem are investigated for the limiting case e=1. Numerical integration is performed for primaries of equal masses. Starting values which define circular orbit solutions lead to bounded solutions if the initial radius a0 is larger than 3.74 in units of the primaries' semimajor axis a. A comparison with the Eulerian two-fixedcentre problem is presented in order to understand qualitatively the characteristic features of bounded orbits and the transition to escape orbits.  相似文献

The linear stability of the triangular equilibrium points in the photogravitational elliptic restricted problem is examined and the stability regions are determined in the space of the parameters of mass, eccentricity, and radiation pressure. It is found that radiation pressure of the larger body for solar system cases exerts only a small quantitative influence on the stability regions.  相似文献

In the present paper we have studied the stability of the triangular libration points for the doubly photogravitational elliptic restricted problem of three bodies under the presence of resonances as well as under their absence. Here we have found the conditions for stability.  相似文献

A strategy is formulated to design optimal time-fixed impulsive transfers between three-dimensional libration-point orbits in the vicinity of the interiorL 1 libration point of the Sun-Earth/Moon barycenter system. The adjoint equation in terms of rotating coordinates in the elliptic restricted three-body problem is shown to be of a distinctly different form from that obtained in the analysis of trajectories in the two-body problem. Also, the necessary conditions for a time-fixed two-impulse transfer to be optimal are stated in terms of the primer vector. Primer vector theory is then extended to non-optimal impulsive trajectories in order to establish a criterion whereby the addition of an interior impulse reduces total fuel expenditure. The necessary conditions for the local optimality of a transfer containing additional impulses are satisfied by requiring continuity of the Hamiltonian and the derivative of the primer vector at all interior impulses. Determination of the location, orientation, and magnitude of each additional impulse is accomplished by the unconstrained minimization of the cost function using a multivariable search method. Results indicate that substantial savings in fuel can be achieved by the addition of interior impulsive maneuvers on transfers between libration-point orbits. An earlier version was presented as Paper AAS 92–126 at the AAS/AIAA Spaceflight Mechanics Meeting, Colorado Springs, Colorado, February 24–26, 1992.  相似文献

The question of whether or not there is a transfer of energy between the in-plane motion and out-of-plane motion in the neighborhood ofL 4 in the restricted problem of three bodies is investigated in this paper. The in-plane motion is assumed to be finite and the out-of-plane motion to be infinitesimal. The equation governing the out-of-plane motion becomes one with time varying coefficients. The stability of this equation is then investigated using Lie Series.Presented as a paper AAS No. 70-313, at the AAS/AIAA Astrodynamics Specialists Conference 1971 at Fort Lauderdale Fla., U.S.A.  相似文献

A systematic approach to generate periodic orbits in the elliptic restricted problem of three bodies in introduced. The approach is based on (numerical) continuation from periodic orbits of the first and second kind in the circular restricted problem to periodic orbits in the elliptic restricted problem. Two families of periodic orbits of the elliptic restricted problem are found by this approach. The mass ratio of the primaries of these orbits is equal to that of the Sun-Jupiter system. The sidereal mean motions between the infinitesimal body and the smaller primary are in a 2:5 resonance, so as to approximate the Sun-Jupiter-Saturn system. The linear stability of these periodic orbits are studied as functions of the eccentricities of the primaries and of the infinitesimal body. The results show that both stable and unstable periodic orbits exist in the elliptic restricted problem that are close to the actual Sun-Jupiter-Saturn system. However, the periodic orbit closest to the actual Sun-Jupiter-Saturn system is (linearly) stable.  相似文献

In this paper the existence of collinear as well as equilateral libration points for the generalised elliptic restricted three body problem has been studied distinct from Kondurar and Shinkarik (1972) where a study has been made for the generalised circular restricted three body problem. Here the coordinates of the libration points have been found to be functions of timet.  相似文献

Three integrals of motion have been found in the three-dimensional elliptic restricted three-body problem for small eccentricitye of the relative orbit of the primaries and small distancer and eccentricitye of the orbit of the third body around a primary. The integrals are given in the form of formal series in the mass-ratio , the eccentricitiese, e and the coordinates and velocities. These integrals depend periodically on the time.  相似文献

An analytical proof of the existence of some kinds of periodic orbits of second species of Poincaré, both in the Circular and Elliptic Restricted three-body problem, is given for small values of the mass parameter. The proof uses the asymptotic approximations for the solutions and the matching theory developed by Breakwell and Perko. In the paper their results are extended to the Elliptic problem and applied to prove the existence of second-species solutions generated by rectilinear ellipses in the Circular problem and nearly-rectilinear ones in the Elliptic case.  相似文献
