SHASTA (Sharp and Smooth Transport Algorithm) is a code with single mesh to solve the 2-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations. When SHASTA is used to the numerical simulation of magnetic reconnection problem, it is modified to be the code which adopts the method of the selfadaptive mesh. The modified code can carry out refined calculations in diffusion regions. In the process of the self-adaptive calculations with SHASTA, a “plugand-play” strategy is adopted and the original algorithm to solve 2-dimensional MHD partial differential equations is treated as an independent cell. In addition, the hierarchical data structure is used in this modification and parameters in each refined level are described by a 2-dimensional variable array. The regions where the distributions of magnetic field and pressure exhibit steep variations are marked as the refined regions. Then, the distributions of physical quantities and the boundary conditions in the grid points of refined levels are deduced via interpolation method. Finally, the refined calculated results of refined regions are assigned to the previous level of mesh and the existing results are updated. The numerical experiment of magnetic reconnections which adopts refined calculations indicates that compared with the code with single mesh, the resolution of details is improved and the corresponding increment of computing time is related to the selection of parameters in the simulation. The calculation accuracy and effect on instability, which are caused by a part of the self-adaptive code, depend on the boundary settings, push strategy over each single step as well as the interpolation algorithm. 相似文献

激光驱动亥姆霍兹电容线圈靶的磁重联实验已经提出并进行了多年.当实验中的金属板被强激光照射时产生自由电子,这些自由电子的运动在连接两金属板的两个平行线圈中产生电流,由两个平行线圈内部电流产生的磁场之间随即发生重联.该实验不同于其他直接由Biermann电池效应所产生高β(等离子体热压与磁压的比值)环境下的磁重联实验.对该类实验进行了3维磁流体动力学数值模拟,首次展示了亥姆霍兹电容器线圈靶如何驱动磁重联的过程.数值模拟结果清楚地表明,磁重联的出流等离子体在线圈周围发生与实验结果相一致的堆积现象.线圈电流产生的磁场可高达100 T,使得磁重联区域周围的等离子体β值达到10^-2.与实验室结果进行比较,数值模拟重复了实验展示的大多数特征,可有助于深入认识和理解实验结果背后的物理学原理. 相似文献

According to the requirement of high-precision satellite navigation, we have introduced the method for the quasi-realtime monitoring of variations of the regional ionospheric total electron content (TEC) and GPS satellite differential code bias (DCB), based on the dual-frequency carrier-phase smoothed pseudorange data obtained from a regional GPS network in China. Especially, we have studied the feasibility of retrieving DCB independently from the regional GPS networks with different sizes. For this purpose, 3 regional networks based on the countrywide GPS stations are investigated. The comparisons of the computed DCB and VTEC(vertical total electron content) with those of CODE(the Center for Orbit Determination in Europe) indicate that in order to realize a reliable quasi-realtime measurement of DCB by a regional network, there is a certain requirement on the size of the regional network, and that the relative accuracies of the quasi-realtime VTEC and DCB measured by using a Chinese GPS regional network can reach 2.0TECu and 0.25 ns, respectively. 相似文献

A comparative analysis of solar and heliospheric magnetic fields in terms of their cumulative sums reveals cyclic and long-term
changes that appear as a magnetic flux imbalance and alternations of dominant magnetic polarities. The global magnetic flux
imbalance of the Sun manifests itself in the solar mean magnetic field (SMMF) signal. The north – south asymmetry of solar
activity and the quadrupole mode of the solar magnetic field contribute the most to the observed magnetic flux imbalance.
The polarity asymmetry exhibits the Hale magnetic cycle in both the radial and azimuthal components of the interplanetary
magnetic field (IMF). Analysis of the cumulative sums of the IMF components clearly reveals cyclic changes in the IMF geometry.
The accumulated deviations in the IMF spiral angle from its nominal value also demonstrate long-term changes resulting from
a slow increase of the solar wind speed over 1965 – 2006. A predominance of the positive IMF B
z
with a significant linear trend in its cumulative signal is interpreted as a manifestation of the relic magnetic field of
the Sun. Long-term changes in the IMF B
z
are revealed. They demonstrate decadal changes owing to the 11/22-year solar cycle. Long-duration time intervals with a dominant
negative B
z
component were found in temporal patterns of the cumulative sum of the IMF B
z

By using the solar magnetic ?eld data of Wilcox Observatory from 1975 to 2010, the short-time periodicities of solar mean magnetic ?elds during solar maximum and minimum years are analyzed. The results reveal that the solar magnetic ?elds mainly exhibit the approximate periods of 9 d, 13 d, and 27 d. During maximal solar activity the period about 27 d is most conspicuous, while during minimal solar activity the most evident period is approximately 13.5 d (except the solar minimum in the years 1984-1986). These results imply that solar active regions exhibit evidently different distributions in the periods of maxima and minima of solar activity. 相似文献

With the data from WIND satellite in 1995—2005, the small-scale magnetic ?ux tubes determined with two methods, i.e., the arti?cial recognition and program selection respectively, are compared. It is found that there are magnetic reconnections in the boundary layers of 41% small-scale magnetic ?ux tubes determined with the program selection method, which is similar to the re- sult of small-scale magnetic ?ux tubes determined with the method of arti?cial recognition. The features of magnetic reconnections, such as the magnetic shear angle, magnetic ?eld strength, and duration of the dissipation region of recon- nection at the small-scale ?ux tubes’ boundaries determined from both methods have the same statistical tendency. This shows that there is no essential differ- ence in the properties of reconnections in the boundary layers of the small-scale magnetic ?ux tubes determined with the two methods. Hence the data yielded by both methods can be used as the samples for statistically studying the events of reconnection in the front and back boundary layers of small-scale ?ux ropes. There are totally 71 magnetic reconnection events selected in this paper. Our statistical result shows that in 50 events (70%) the decrease of magnetic ?eld strength in the dissipation region of reconnection is larger than 20%, and in 47 events (66%) the magnetic shear angle is larger than 90 degrees. These indicate that the magnetic reconnections in boundaries of the small-scale magnetic ?ux tubes are more likely to be anti-parallel. The statistics has been performed sep- arately in the reconnections of the front and back boundary layers of small-scale magnetic ?ux tubes. The results show that the features of reconnections in the front and back boundaries are similar to each other, which is different from the various properties in the front and back boundaries of the magnetic clouds, and this means that the expansion in the large-scale magnetic ?ux tubes, such as magnetic clouds, does not happen in the small-scale magnetic ?ux tubes. 相似文献

The stellar spectroscopic data of SDSS-DR8 (The Eighth Data Release of Sloan Digital Sky Survey) and the near-infrared photometric data of 2MASS (Two Micron All Sky Survey) point sources are used to analyze the fundamental parameters of the open cluster NGC 6791. Using the radial velocities of 274 stars in the region of the cluster, we calculate the membership probability for each star with the maximum likelihood method. Based on the stars with high membership probabilities, we have derived the radial velocity and metal abundance of the cluster to be respectively Vr =−46.4±0.2 km·s−1 and [Fe/H]=0.32±0.11dex, in good agreement with the results obtained by other authors on the basis of high-resolution spectroscopy. Using red clump giants in the cluster as “standard candle”, we have derived the absolute distance modulus of the cluster to be (m − M)0 =13.02±0.08mag or 4.02±0.15 kpc in distance, consistent with the values obtained from main-sequence fittings by some authors. And our main conclusions are: (1) NGC 6791 is extremely metal-rich; (2) Within the spectral resolution of SDSS, the discriminated 87 cluster members have no evident difference in matallicity; (3) The obtained distance modulus is insensitive to the age, metallicity and dust distinction, so it is a kind of reliable indirect measurement. 相似文献

Powerful flares are closely related to the evolution of the complex magnetic field configuration at the solar surface. The
strength of the magnetic field and speed of its evolution are two vital parameters in the study of the change of magnetic
field in the solar atmosphere. We propose a dynamic and quantitative depiction of the changes in complexity of the active
region: E=u×B, where u is the velocity of the footpoint motion of the magnetic field lines and B is the magnetic field. E represents the dynamic evolution of the velocity field and the magnetic field, shows the sweeping motions of magnetic footpoints,
exhibits the buildup process of current, and relates to the changes in nonpotentiality of the active region in the photosphere.
It is actually the induced electric field in the photosphere. It can be deduced observationally from velocities computed by
the local correlation tracking (LCT) technique and vector magnetic fields derived from vector magnetograms. The relationship
between E and ten X-class flares of four active regions (NOAA 10720, 10486, 9077, and 8100) has been studied. It is found that (1)
the initial brightenings of flare kernels are roughly located near the inversion lines where the intensities of E are very high, (2) the daily averages of the mean densities of E and its normal component (E
n) decrease after flares for most cases we studied, whereas those of the tangential component of E (E
t) show no obvious regularities before and after flares, and (3) the daily averages of the mean densities of E
t are always higher than those of E
n, which cannot be naturally deduced by the daily averages of the mean densities of B
n and B

利用色球Ha单色像、TRACE和SOHO/EITEUV单色像、SOH0/LASCO白光日冕观测及SOH0/MDI光球磁图,对2003年8月25日日面AR0442边界上2个暗条爆发的不同动力学行为及与之相关的耀斑、耀斑后环和CME等现象进行了分析。主要结论如下:(1)2个暗条的激活态和爆发过程有明显不同:暗条F1先变粗变黑,出现明显分叉,然后表现为whiplike爆发;而暗条F2一部分先消失,其余部分出现水平的轴向运动,最后F2整体爆发。(2)2个暗条的爆发机制是不同的:F1的爆发可能与新浮磁流密切相关,而F2的爆发与F1爆发产生的双带耀斑的分离运动和相互作用密切相关。 相似文献

1994年1月5日日面上产生的1次1N/M1.0耀斑爆发,射电1.42GHz高时间分辨率观测也同时接收到,在小爆发过程里伴有53个脉冲信号叠加在连续辐射背景上,是很罕见的现象。在AR7646的黑子前导区域,5日有2处新浮的小黑子对,磁场分别成细小磁流管平行和交又状态,是产生爆发的根源;脉冲信号是微耀斑在射电方面的瞬时辐射现象,由耀斑连续产生微能量释放而出现,单个的能量释放为(0.3—3.3)×1010焦耳。在能量释放过程里,非热电子加速起到重要作用。 相似文献

As shown by a series of previous researches, on the solar photospheric surface, together with the intensi?cation of longitudinal magnetic ?eld, the ob- served energy of seismic waves decreases. In order to further investigate the relation between seismic waves and magnetic ?elds, using the data of Helioseis- mic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) and via the extrapolation of the potential ?eld from the line-of-sight magnetic ?eld, we can get the total intensity of magnetic ?eld and correlate it with the energy of seismic waves. By ?tting the energies of p-mode seismic waves within a certain region of total magnetic ?eld, the relation between the energy of seismic waves and the total intensity of magnetic ?eld can be obtained. Our study has con?rmed that between the energy of seismic waves and the total intensity of magnetic ?eld there is a stronger correlation. As shown by the results of various active regions, the tendencies of decrease of the energy of p-mode seismic waves with the total intensity of magnetic ?eld below 500 GS are very close to each other, but in the range from 500 GS to 1000 GS there are small differences. Besides, between the logarithm of the energy of p-mode seis- mic waves and the total intensity of magnetic ?eld there is a rather strong linear correlation. As revealed by comparing the results of Michelson Doppler Imager (MDI) and HMI, although in totality the observational results of magnetic ?elds of MDI are larger than those of HMI, but the results of comparison and analysis on the relation between the normalized energy of p-mode seismic waves and the intensity of magnetic ?eld do not differ much in these two cases. 相似文献

Based on a large amount of observed data of element abundances in metal-poor stars, taking the abundance distribution of heavy elements in the solar system as a standard, and selecting Sr, Ba and Eu as the typical elements of the three nucleosynthetic processes in metal-poor stars, namely the weak sprocess, main s-process and r-process, we have studied the contributions of the three kinds of neutron-capture processes to the abundance distribution of heavy elements in metal-poor stars, with the parameterization method. It is found that the higher the metal abundance, the greater the contributions of the weak s-process and the chief s-process to the abundances of lighter neutron-capture elements. The heavier neutron-capture elements are mainly produced by the r-process and the chief s-process; and that at low metallicity, the abundances of heavy neutron-capture elements are mainly produced by the r-process. In the early Galaxy, the weak s-process has almost no contribution to the element abundance. 相似文献
