The physical retrieval algorithm of atmospheric temperature and moisture distribution from the Atmospheric InfraRed Sounder (AIRS) radiances is presented. The retrieval algorithm is applied to AIRS clear-sky radiance measurements. The algorithm employs a statistical retrieval followed by a subsequent nonlinear physical retrieval. The regression coefficients for the statistical retrieval are derived from a dataset of global radiosonde observations (RAOBs) comprising atmospheric temperature, moisture, and ozone profiles. Evaluation of the retrieved profiles is performed by a comparison with RAOBs from the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program Cloud And Radiation Testbed (CART) in Oklahoma, U. S. A.. Comparisons show that the physically-based AIRS retrievals agree with the RAOBs from the ARM CART site with a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 1K on average for temperature profiles above 850 hPa, and approximately 10% on average for relative humidity profiles. With its improved spectral resolution, AIRS depicts more detailed structure than the current Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) sounder when comparing AIRS sounding retrievals with the operational GOES sounding products.  相似文献

目前云对卫星相对湿度廓线反演精度的影响研究大多是针对云量,对其他云属性的影响研究尚少,云高也是影响卫星相对湿度廓线反演精度的重要因素。利用上海宝山站L波段(1型)加密探空资料,分析了上海地区7—9月不同质量控制标识、云量和云顶高度条件下大气红外探测器AIRS/Aqua (Atmospheric Infrared Sounder) 相对湿度廓线的反演精度,以期为今后开展AIRS等卫星资料的同化研究提供科学依据。结果表明:(1)AIRS相对湿度廓线反演误差随着云量的增加而逐渐增大,并且随着气压值的升高,少云与多云时的均方根误差(Root Mean Squared Error, RMSE)之差有逐渐增大的趋势;(2)云顶高度越高,AIRS相对湿度廓线反演精度越差,云顶以上湿度廓线反演精度更高,而云顶以下高度的反演误差较大;(3)高云且多云时,AIRS相对湿度廓线的反演精度最差,850 hPa处,AIRS相对湿度反演数据与探空资料绝对误差的下限达到了[-63.51%];(4)虽然质量控制标识为0时,AIRS湿度廓线在对流层范围内的反演精度仍达不到无线电探空的水平,但是相对于质量控制标识1时,反演精度明显提高。   相似文献

A three-dimensional variational method is proposed to simultaneously retrieve the 3-D atmospheric temperature and moisture profiles from satellite radiance measurements. To include both vertical structure and the horizontal patterns of the atmospheric temperature and moisture, an EOF technique is used to decompose the temperature and moisture field in a 3-D space. A number of numerical simulations are conducted and they demonstrate that the 3-D method is less sensitive to the observation errors compared to the 1-D method. When the observation error is more than 2.0 K, to get the best results, the truncation number for the EOF's expansion have to be restricted to 2 in the 1-D method, while it can be set as large as 40 in a 3-D method. This results in the truncation error being reduced and the retrieval accuracy being improved in the 3-D method. Compared to the 1-D method, the rms errors of the 3-D method are reduced by 48% and 36% for the temperature and moisture retrievals, respectively. Using the real satellite measured brightness temperatures at 0557 UTC 31 July 2002, the temperature and moisture profiles are retrieved over a region (20°-45°N, 100°- 125°E) and compared with 37 collocated radiosonde observations. The results show that the retrieval accuracy with a 3-D method is significantly higher than those with the 1-D method.  相似文献

引进美国威斯康星大学的IMAPP(International MODIS/AIRS Preprocessing Package)软件包,介绍了利用高光谱分辨率大气红外探测器AIRS(Atmospheric Infrared Sounder)观测辐射值,用特征向量统计法反演大气温度、湿度等垂直廓线的算法,采用亮度温度分类和扫描角分类回归后,减小了反演误差。并将其应用到中国地区,通过与无线电探空值及欧洲中期天气预报中心ECMWF(European Center of Medium-range Weather Forecasts)客观分析场的比较,结果表明:该方法所获得的温度、水汽反演结果与探空观测及ECMWF大气廓线分布一致,且AIRS因其高光谱分辨率(即高垂直空间分辨率)显示了精细的大气结构。  相似文献

前文给出了卫星红外观测资料的反演处理方法,并对方法作了理论上的分析,在本文中,我们将此方法应用到TOVS、GOES-8实际资料及AIRS模拟观测资料处理中并重点对TOVS资料进行试验。在反演中,我们将大气温度廓线和水汽混合比(lnq)廓线用各自的经验正交函数(EOF)表示以提高反演的稳定性并缩短计算时间,同时采用一种过滤操作以加速迭代的收敛速度。除了用本文提出的方法对TOVS资料进行处理外,还用国际TOVS处理软件包(ITPP-4.0)对同样的资料进行反演。试验表明,本文方法的反演结果优于ITPP的结果。AIRS模拟反演结果表明,高分辨率红外垂直探测器的遥感精度能够达到温度1 K、水汽10%。  相似文献

该文利用探空资料, 用辐射传输模式LOWTRAN 7, 计算了卫星的入瞳辐射率, 确定了FY-2和GMS-5卫星多通道扫描辐射计水汽通道定标系数.由于星蚀期间星上温度变化迅速, 星蚀期间的外定标考虑了星上黑体定标, 并用实际观测值和探空资料做了检验。通过近半年的运行, 这种方法取得了较好的效果.  相似文献

中国新一代地球静止气象卫星风云四号A星(FY-4A)搭载的干涉式大气垂直探测仪(Geostationary Interferometric Infrared Sounder, GIIRS)以红外高光谱干涉分光方式探测三维大气温湿结构,取得了在静止轨道上探测大气的突破性进展。地基全球导航卫星系统(Global Navigation Satellite System,GNSS)是一种连续监测大气可降水量(Precipitable Water Vapor,PWV)的有效手段,基于2018年6—8月中国地基GNSS站监测的PWV和FY-4A/GIIRS水汽廓线的业务产品以及常规无线电探空资料,开展GNSS/PWV与FY-4A/GIIRS水汽廓线快速融合应用,以提高卫星资料反演大气水汽廓线的精度。结果表明:与常规无线电探空相比,FY-4A/GIIRS水汽廓线产品在大气低层均方根误差(Root Mean Square Error,RMSE)为4.5 g/kg,700 hPa为2.4 g/kg,500 hPa以上因水汽含量较低RSME小于1.5 g/kg。GNSS/PWV与FY-4A/GIIRS水汽廓线融合后,FY-4A/GIIRS水汽廓线误差整层RMSE减小20%,从近地层到600 hPa RMSE平均减小20%—25%,尤其是850—700 hPa改善最明显,极大改善了卫星水汽反演资料的可用性。对一次多系统影响的暴雨天气过程应用分析表明,GNSS/PWV和FY-4A/GIIRS融合产品可获得高时、空密度的大气水汽廓线,对强降水的临近预报有非常重要的支撑作用。   相似文献

In the present reported study, the vertical distributions of local atmospheric refractivity were retrieved from ground- based GPS observations at low elevation angles. An improved optimization method was implemented at altitudes of 0-10 km to search for a best-fit refractivity profile that resulted in atmospheric delays most similar to the delays calculated from the observations. A ray-tracing model was used to simulate neutral atmospheric delays corresponding to a given refractivity profile. We initially performed a "theoretical retrieval", in which no observation data were involved, to verify the optimization method. A statistical relative error of this "theoretical retrieval" (-2% to 2%) indicated that such a retrieval is effective. In a practical retrieval, observations were obtained using a dual-frequency GPS receiver, and its initial value was provided by CIRA86aQ_UoG data. The statistical relative errors of the practical retrieval range from -3% to 5% were compared with co-located radiosonde measurements, Results clearly revealed diurnal variations in local refractivity prc,files, The results also suggest that the general vertical distribution of refractivity can be derived with a high temporal resolution. However, further study is needed to describe the vertical refractivity gradient clearly.  相似文献

总结了自主研制的MWP967KV型地基35通道微波辐射计系统设计原理和主要特点。系统将K、V双频段宽带天线及接收机、宽带调谐本振、温湿压计以及电源模块紧凑集成为一台整机设备。对各传感器的测量输出实时进行一体化综合处理,采用BP神经网络实时反演大气温度、湿度廓线和汽、水总量。廓线的垂直覆盖范围为地表至顶空10km,共划分为58层。辐射计样机于2012年秋冬季节在北京地区开展了为期2个月的观测试验,利用这段时期内的69个探空资料样本对辐射计2个层次的实时观测输出都进行了对比检验,计算了水汽、氧气通道亮温和反演所得大气温湿廓线的平均偏差、均方差以及相关性。结果表明该系统能够满足实时气象监测的需求,达到国际先进水平。  相似文献

采用2013年中国科学院大气物理研究所香河大气综合观测试验站的地基微波辐射计和激光雷达观测数据,以激光雷达探测的大气边界层高度为参考,分别利用非线性神经网络和多元线性回归方法建立微波亮温直接反演大气边界层高度的算法,并对比两种方法的反演能力, 同时分析非线性神经网络算法在不同时段及不同天气状况下反演结果的差异。结果表明:非线性神经网络算法的反演能力优于多元线性回归算法,其反演结果与激光雷达探测的大气边界层高度有较好一致性,冬、春季的相关系数达到0.83,反演精度比线性回归算法约高26%;对于不同时段和不同天气条件,春季的反演结果最好,晴空的反演结果好于云天; 四季和不同天气状况的划分也有利于提高反演精度。  相似文献

为评价COSMIC-2掩星反演数据精度,利用探空站点资料,对比验证了基于COSMIC-2附加相位数据由无线电掩星数据处理软件ROPP计算得到的大气折射率及温湿廓线。实验结果表明:COSMIC-2数据经反演后的大气廓线质量较高,大气折射率相对偏差标准差为1.5%~4.3%,大气温度和相对湿度均方根误差分别为1.3~2.2 K、10%~15%;低纬地区样本精度总体优于中纬地区; 季节性差异不明显,但冬春季样本精度总体略优于夏秋季。反演数据与COSMIC-2二级产品相比,折射率与温度在部分高度层精度更优,相对湿度在总体上精度更优。   相似文献

The Microwave Temperature Sounder-Ⅱ(MWTS-Ⅱ) and Microwave Humidity and Temperature Sounder(MWHTS) onboard the Fengyun-3 C(FY-3 C) satellite can be used to detect atmospheric temperature profiles. The MWTS-II has 13 temperature sounding channels around the 60 GHz oxygen absorption band and the MWHTS has 8 temperature sounding channels around the 118.75 GHz oxygen absorption line. The data quality of the observed brightness temperatures can be evaluated using atmospheric temperature retrievals from the MWTS-Ⅱ and MWHTS observations. Here, the bias characteristics and corrections of the observed brightness temperatures are described. The information contents of observations are calculated, and the retrieved atmospheric temperature profiles are compared using a neural network(NN) retrieval algorithm and a one-dimensional variational inversion(1 D-var) retrieval algorithm. The retrieval results from the NN algorithm show that the accuracy of the MWTS-Ⅱ retrieval is higher than that of the MWHTS retrieval, which is consistent with the results of the radiometric information analysis. The retrieval results from the 1 D-var algorithm show that the accuracy of MWTS-Ⅱ retrieval is similar to that of the MWHTS retrieval at the levels from 850-1,000 h Pa, is lower than that of the MWHTS retrieval at the levels from 650-850 h Pa and 125-300 h Pa, and is higher than that of MWHTS at the other levels. A comparison of the retrieved atmospheric temperature using these satellite observations provides a reference value for assessing the accuracy of atmospheric temperature detection at the 60 GHz oxygen band and 118.75 GHz oxygen line. In addition, based on the comparison of the retrieval results, an optimized combination method is proposed using a branch and bound algorithm for the NN retrieval algorithm, which combines the observations from both the MWTS-Ⅱand MWHTS instruments to retrieve the atmospheric temperature profiles. The results show that the optimal combination can further improve the accuracy of MWTS-Ⅱ retrieval and enhance the detection accuracy of atmospheric temperatures near the surface.  相似文献

为研究地基微波辐射计遥感温、湿度廓线的一维变分算法的反演能力,用北京地区2010—2011年00和12时(世界时)的多通道地基微波辐射计亮温资料进行试验。首先,利用同时次的地面观测资料、红外亮温(由地基微波辐射计自带红外传感器测得)及探空观测数据,给出提取无云样本的方案,得到432个无云样本;再以辐射传输模式计算得到的模拟亮温为参考,对无云条件下的观测亮温进行质量控制;然后利用探空数据进行模拟试验,结果发现,一维变分算法对3 km以下的温度廓线有较大调整。使反演结果更加接近探空,而对湿度廓线在0—10 km都有不同程度的优化;最后利用一维变分算法对地基微波辐射计观测亮温进行大气温湿廓线反演,将结果与探空对比可以看出,温度廓线的均方根误差小于2.9 K,绝对湿度的均方根误差小于0.47 g/m~3;进一步与地基微波辐射计自带神经网络的反演结果比较表明,一维变分的反演结果更接近实际大气。  相似文献

Summary Geosynchronous satellite soundings from the VISSR Atmospheric Sounder (VAS) have difficulty resolving thermal variations in the troposphere associated with mesoscale dynamical processes. For example, VAS soundings retrieved during a late winter storm on 6 March 1982 scarcely resolved a mid-tropospheric cold pool and a low-level inversion which were captured by a special radiosonde network established as part of an Atmospheric Variability Experiment (AVE) in the south-central United States. In this paper, VAS radiances from the 6 March 1982 AVE/VAS case are re-processed using supplementary radiosonde soundings obtained at NWS radiosonde sites in the central United States to construct a local regression retrieval matrix. The re-processed VAS retrievals are compared to the original VAS retrievals and to an independent mesoscale radiosonde network located in north-central Texas. The re-processed VAS retrievals delineate the three-dimensional mesoscale temperature fields for this case with significantly improved accuracy, indicating that the poor resolution from the previous retrievals was not due to unexpected limitations in the satellite radiometer. More importantly, in order to obtain accurate upper-air temperature analyses over the United States at mesoscale resolution, the results from this case suggest that it may be necessary to develop a system which combines temperature and moisture profiles observed at selected sites in an asynoptic ground-based network (using either balloons or upward-looking microwave sensors) with infrared radiances observed at 30 km horizontal resolution from the geosynchronous sounder, using the VAS satellite data to fill in the gaps between the ground-based measurements.With 11 Figures  相似文献

大气温湿度廓线是大气重要参数,在数值天气预报及天气预警中具有重要的应用价值。为获得高精度的大气温度与水汽混合比廓线数据,研究了基于Metop-A/IASI红外高光谱资料的大气温度与水汽混合比廓线变分反演方法。利用IASI高光谱传感器温度和水汽探测通道资料,结合CRTM模式和WRF模式预报技术,使用一维变分方法,研究了卫星资料质量控制、背景误差协方差本地化、观测误差协方差计算等方法,构建了大气温度及水汽混合比廓线变分反演系统,并在北京、青岛、沈阳3个地区开展了反演试验。以探空为标准的反演结果对比显示,使用WRF模式预报值作为背景场,温度的平均误差绝对值小于0.6 K,均方根误差为0.89 K;水汽混合比的平均误差绝对值小于0.021 g/kg,均方根误差为0.02 g/kg。试验结果表明:基于一维变分方法,可以利用Metop-A/IASI红外高光谱资料进行大气温度与水汽混合比廓线高精度探测。  相似文献

往返式平漂探空观测(以下简称平漂探空)可实现对流层至平流层低层大气温度廓线垂直探测以及平流层低层内持续4 h的水平温度分布探测。该文介绍利用平漂探空试验数据对风云3号气象卫星D星(FY-3D)反演温度数据的检验评估算法,基于该算法和2021年3—9月长江中下游平漂探空试验数据完成对卫星反演大气温度数据的检验。结果显示:FY-3D卫星反演的温度数据准确度总体较高,与平漂探空上升段数据平均绝对偏差约为1.34℃,与下降段数据平均绝对偏差约为1.93℃;卫星反演的100 hPa以上和850 hPa以下温度误差分别偏大0.59℃和0.33℃;卫星反演平流层温度准确度低于温度廓线,平均绝对偏差约为3.92℃;与平漂探空数据相比,卫星大气温度廓线分辨率较低、趋势较平滑,无法显示大气温度垂直分布和平流层温度水平分布的细节特征。  相似文献

利用2018年1月至2019年12月河北省中南部地区的微波辐射计和探空数据,将两种探测设备取得的资料在时间和空间上进行点对点匹配,共筛选出187条晴空廓线、1176条云天廓线和12条毛毛雨天廓线,定量分析了各个高度层的晴天、云天和毛毛雨天气条件下两种大气探测设备的温度、相对湿度和水汽密度廓线的相关性及误差情况。结果表明:3种天气条件下的微波辐射计与无线电探空仪温度和水汽密度的相关性整体较好,地基微波辐射计观测的大气参数分布存在不同程度的差异,但是微波辐射计和探空的变化趋势一致性较好,并且无线电探空仪观测的大气参数和微波辐射计反演的温度、相对湿度和水汽密度相关性整体上均呈现低层大气优于高层大气,温度相关性最好,水汽密度次之,相对湿度最低。通过对比各个高度层的拟合程度,发现3.5 km以下的低层大气参数精度更可靠,对于需要间接计算的大气物理量,如K指数、有效位能、积分水汽含量等,使用低层数据计算的大气物理量精度会更好。本文开展的地基微波辐射计反演的大气物理参数与探空仪观测对比研究工作,对提高微波辐射计在大气物理和人工影响天气的探测精度方面具有参考意义。  相似文献

文章证明了由静止气象卫星GMS-5的分裂窗通道和水汽通道亮温反演可降水量的可行性,探讨了GMS-5红外通道亮温与可降水量的关系,建立了由3个通道亮温反演可降水量的经验公式。用60组大气平均廓线,对公式模拟检验误差为0.18 g/cm2,而用实际124组探空和对应的GMS-5亮温资料进行检验,误差0.40 g/cm2。用得到的经验公式可反演大范围的晴空可降水量分布。  相似文献

我们已经研究了晴空情况下的大气红外遥感及其反演问题。本文对有云情况下的大气红外遥感及其反演问题进行了研究,首先指出国际上通用的处理有云反演的晴空订正法存在误差放大问题,然后提出了3×3相邻视场同步反演法,在该方法中,假定3×3相邻视场具有共同的大气温度廓线和大气水汽廓线,从而使求解方程数增加到9倍,而反演参数只增加有限的几个,大大提高了有云情况下反演的稳定性。  相似文献
