Species of macrophytes which are suitable for the biogenic aeration of the hypolimnion by macrophytes must reach positive balances of the net primary production at a high development of populations also at low light intensities and temperatures (winter). Elodea canadensis, Juncus bulbosus and Littorella uniflora from suitable sites were exposed after holding at different water depths, and the biomass development was investigated in relation to the radiation intensity. Parallel to that, the net primary production was determined in dependence on the light intensity in the bottle experiment by air-conditioned laboratory experiments (oxygen method). Elodea canadensis has been found to be suitable for the ecotechnological application to more eutrophic waters with neutral pH, especially because of the low light compensation point of the net primary production. Colonization with Juncus bulbosus, however, seems to be possible only in the acidophilic range (pH<7), whereas Littorella uniflora is not suitable for floating vegetation covers because of the higher light compensation point for a hypolimnetic colonization and the linkage to the substrate.  相似文献

The X-ray fluorescence analysis is an important means for the determination of the heavy metal concentrations in sewage sludges and for the evaluation of their usability in agriculture. Analysis devices from the GDR were used for that. For the investigations there was used as the zero sample a sludge which was not loaded with heavy metals, homogeneous and constantly dried at 105 °C. The drying bed sludge samples were treated with different heavy metal solutions with different concentrations. Preparation of samples, measuring conditions and general spectra are described. The measuring results of tests up to 100 g heavy metal in 1 kg dry substance are critically evaluated. The analysis of a sewer sludge sample takes only about ten minutes. There are determined: Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mo, Cd, Hg and Pb.  相似文献

Improving Water Quality by submerged and emergent Macrophytes. — A Review of Ecotechnological Application. Measures of ecotechnology using submerged and emergent macrophytes in native stands or planted littoral stands on the one hand, ingenious swimming plant mats on the other, may be assessed to be successful if applied in combination with additional measures, for instance — reorganization (sanition) of all the area collecting water — biomanipulation of pelagic food chains. Plantation of submerged macrophytes as oxygenators in standing and impounded waters to improve water quality should be avoided. To the contrary, the strategy should be taking measures in order to maximize the light penetrated euphotic zone (zeu) and simultaneously minimize the mixed zone (zmix) in order to improve spontaneous settlements of submerged macrophyte stands.  相似文献
