笔者在大连工作区的上震旦统南关岭组、甘井子组和营城子组碳酸盐岩地层中,识别出以震动液化脉、震动液化角砾岩、碳酸盐岩注积岩等震积岩为代表的古地震灾变事件层(工作区缺失上震旦统顶部的兴民村组震积岩),这在工作区属首次发现,这一发现进一步提高了辽南震旦系的研究程度,证明了辽南地区晚震旦世存在4个地震活跃期,从而为区域地层对比提供了新的实际材料,新发现的甘井子组白云岩中的地震灾变事件层表现为白云石质的震动液化脉及液化卷曲变形,是对辽南震旦系研究程度的提高和丰富。  相似文献

Several paleoseismic events are recorded in the Neogene Linqu Group, exposed in the Linqu area, Shandong Province, China. The events were interpreted on the basis of fieldwork and laboratory analysis, which showed the presence of seismites with plastically deformed soft-sediment deformation structures in the Shanwang Formation, and of seismic volcanic rocks in the Yaoshan Formation which show brittle deformation. The earthquake-triggered soft-sediment deformations in the seismites include load structures, ball-and-pillow structures, flame structures, pillow-like beds, boudinage structures, slump folds, syn-depositional faults, veins of liquefied sand, and dikes of liquefied sandy lime-mud. The seismic activity is also reflected in what might be called ‘brittle seismites'; these originated when, under the influence of seismic vibrations, semi-consolidated conglomerate was shattered. Moreover, volcanic activity is related to intense earthquakes that affected basalts intercalated with sand layers; these successions are known as ‘seismic volcanic rocks', which are characterized by veins of liquefied sand intruding the basalts. All above traces of paleoseismic activity were left from one single time span of 4 Ma with active seismicity that took place 14–10 Ma. This time span is known as ‘the Linqu Neogene Paleoseismic Active Period', which is divided into four paleoseismic episodes, which were responses to tectonic extension and basin rifting in this area. It even includes the activity of the Yishu Fault Zone during the Miocene and the Neogene. The ratios of trace elements in the seismites, w(La)/w(Sc) and w(La)/w(Th) are higher than the average value of the upper crust, but w(Th)/w(Sc) is lower; this is geochemical evidence for the basin rifting that resulted in a high sedimentation rate. The intense and frequent paleo-earthquakes are held responsible for the rapid burial of the Shanwang Biota. Secondary earthquake-induced processes(e.g. slumping of a lake shore and the strongly increased lacustrine sedimentation rate) contributed to the rapid burial of the biota.  相似文献

震积岩不仅指那些厚度和体积巨大的震巨浊积岩和震浊积岩,而且还包括一些受地震活动产生的一些规模较小,但具有特殊结构构造的沉积层。震积岩一般由两个特性不同的岩层组成,下层是原地的地震扰动层,上层为滑移震积层。前者对识别震积岩十分重要,后者是震积岩的主体。两层之间为规模不等的震积不整合面。本文重点论述了木里西秋的震巨浊积岩,也叙述了一些规模较小的地震扰动层和滑移震积层。文中将那种因地震作用在海底之下沿某一剥离断层面发生滑移并刨蚀剥离断层下盘地层而产生的震积不整合称为剥离不整合。  相似文献

Palaeoseismological studies were performed within the Yaloman graben (Gorny Altai). Five Quaternary sections with coseismic deformation structures (seismites) have been recognized in the lower course of the Malyi Yaloman River. Traces of ancient earthquakes are localized at two levels (Late Pleistocene-Holocene). The most likely mechanisms of the seismite formation are brittle failure, liquefaction, and fluidization. The types of coseismic deformations and their sizes suggest that the Yaloman graben was the locus of prehistoric earthquakes with M > 5–7, although modern-day seismic activity consists of smaller-magnitude earthquakes. This should be taken into account in assessing the seismic hazards during construction of gas pipeline to China and tourism infrastructure facilities.  相似文献

震积岩是“灾变事件岩”的典型代表,震积岩一般由原地相的地震扰动层与上覆的滑来震积层组成,无论后者是否发育,震积不整合都是存在的。伸展构造环境下形成的区域性震积不整合,属于伸不整合,地震扰动层可以进一步分为软沉积及液化变形段,半固结变形的微褶皱和微断层段、脆性变形的震碎角砾岩段及韵律断层段等序列;群震型(多震旋回)剖面也可划分出出前震、主震、后震等序列。地震扰动序列对识别震积岩很关键,群震型剖面及化  相似文献

The aim of the study is to detect deformations in the soft sediments in a tectonically active area (the Armenian Highland) and to examine the significance of the deformations as paleoseismicity indicators. Deformations in the form of pillows, pockets, sharp waves, and ovoids are exposed in the Sevan basin, within interbedded shallow lacustrine, beach, and fluvial sediments. Also, broken beds and low-amplitude thrusts are observed. Eight field criteria for assigning soft-sediment deformations to paleoseismic triggering provide strong evidence for the seismic origin of the deformations. According to the local relative stratigraphic scale, the Sevan seismites are of Pleistocene–Holocene age.  相似文献

The exposed Quaternary sections of Ladakh show evidence of seismicity during the late Quaternary. Multiple levels of soft-sediment deformation structures (seismites) are recorded from the Quaternary sediments of the Spituk-Leh, along Indus Suture Zone (ISZ) and the Khalsar palaeolakes, along Shyok Suture Zone (SSZ) and Karakoraum Fault (KF). The studied sections are a part of two major tectonically formed palaeolakes at 35,000 yr BP. Nine levels of seismites from Spituk-Leh and eight levels from Khalsar sections are recorded. The deformed sediments comprise of clay, silts and sand and are restricted to a single stratigraphic layers bounded by undeformed beds suggesting synsedimentary deformation. The various deformational structures identified are simple and complex convolutes, pinch and swell bedding, microfolds and microfaults, flame-like structures, pseudonodules, clay diapirs, ball and pillow structures, pillar structures, sedimentary dykes and mud lenses. The release of stress along the ISZ, SSZ and KF, may have been responsible for inducing seismicity in the area during the late Quaternary times which may have caused liquefaction as a direct consequence of permanent deformation of ground surface due to earthquakes of large magnitudes (>5 intensity). The chronological data suggests release of stresses along ISZ, SSZ and KF in the form of earthquakes between 35,000 yr BP to approximately the Last Glacial Maxima (LGM) as evident form the available chronology.  相似文献

Ten cores consisting of varved clay from the northern part of Lake Peipsi in eastern Estonia have been correlated using varve thickness variations and specific marker varves into a 375-year floating varve chronology. Continuous sedimentation during gradual ice recession is concluded from a clear transition from proximal to distal varves. Cyclic variations in varve thickness are caused mainly by thickness changes of clayey winter layers. This is interpreted to indicate increased influx of finer material due to faster melting of the glacier. The cyclic pattern of thickness change is explained by alternating periods of increased and decreased melting of the ice. Simultaneous accumulation of varved clay in glacial Lake Peipsi and in the Luga and Neva basins of Russia is concluded from the good visual correlation between the mean varve thickness diagrams for the three chronologies. Because the varve chronologies from northwestern Russia have been tentatively correlated to the Swedish varve chronology, the timing of the clay accumulation in glacial Lake Peipsi is placed between c . 13 500 and 13 100 varve years BP.  相似文献

强地震是断裂活动的表现形式,可以诱发地表沉积层序顶部未固结的软沉积物发生变形,形成新的变形层(即震积岩***)。因此,在连续沉积剖面中赋存的多层震积岩应是断裂活动的直接证据。川西前陆盆地中的软沉积物变形记载了龙门山断裂带的活动信息,对认识龙门山造山带演化历史具有重要意义。本文通过"汶川地震断裂带科学钻探"一号孔(WFSD-1)和三号孔(WFSD-3)连续岩心剖面的岩性分析和构造研究,识别出11段不同深度的液化角砾岩层,它们是地震触发成因的软沉积物变形岩层。11个液化角砾岩段厚度从~20m至102m不等,分布在晚三叠世须家河组二-五段。这些液化角砾岩层记录了龙门山前陆盆地形成过程中晚三叠世断裂活动特征及趋势。这些厚度不等的震积岩粗略指示约2~20万年的地震活动长周期(地震幕),以及约4至70万年的间震期(地震幕的间隔时间),反映了龙门山断裂早期脉动式(幕式)活动特征。从不同段液化角砾岩层分布间隔规律来看,地震活跃期间隔(即间震期)越来越短,显示龙门山造山带断裂活动越来越强的趋势。结合前人地表软沉积物变形研究,我们认为龙门山造山带在晚三叠世经历了多期次的正断-逆冲活动的造山作用(至少经历14个地震活跃期),形成龙门山雏形及前陆盆地。  相似文献

青藏高原东北缘的地质地貌特征与基本构造格架受阿尔金左行走滑断裂、东昆仑左行走滑断裂和海源左行走滑断裂控制,在青藏高原的碰撞造山过程中地震作用贯穿始终.2011至2012年,作者对青藏高原东北缘东起靖远(海原断裂东段)西至昌马盆地(阿尔金断裂东南)的软沉积物变形(震积岩)进行的系统调研表明,青藏高原东北缘祁连山地区从三叠纪至第四纪各时代(侏罗纪以外)的地层中,均发现丰富的古地震纪录(震积岩).代表性震积岩发现点和层位有:靖远宝积山上三叠统、靖远糜滩乡下白垩统、昌马盆地下白垩统以及赤金堡和酒泉磁窑口附近的第四系.主要的震积岩类型有:液化脉、负载、球-枕构造、液化卷曲、层间微断裂等.根据区域地质资料分析,这些震积岩均分布于区域性大断裂附近.本文简单讨论了主要震积岩发现点与其相邻的区域构造(地震)活动之间的关系,根据靖远附近上三叠统普遍发育震积岩,提出海原断裂带的初始活动时间很可能就在晚三叠世,与青藏高原东缘龙门山地区印支期的造山地震同时期.  相似文献

海相细粒沉积层理是恢复沉积环境的重要标志,更是影响着细粒沉积岩的储层品质及可压裂性。细粒物质通过生物作用、生物化学作用和机械分化作用形成之后,以单颗粒、絮凝颗粒、泥岩内碎屑、岩屑、有机—矿物集合体(“海洋雪”)及浮游动物粪球粒等形式,通过风力、低密度流、重力及底流等搬运至海洋,最终以垂直沉降和/或侧向加积的方式沉降下来。细粒物质可形成2种纹层(泥纹层和粉砂纹层)、2种纹层组(泥纹层组和粉砂纹层组)和2种层(递变层和均质层),并构成5大类层理(块状层理、递变层理、韵律层理和年纹层、水平层理和交错层理)。黑色海相细粒岩泥纹层和粉砂纹层由于物质组成、孔隙类型及结构、面孔率、孔径分布、微裂缝类型及密度等差异,从而造成不同层理类型细粒岩储层品质差异。同时,不同层理细粒岩由于纹层发育程度、单纹层厚度、泥纹层和粉砂纹层比例、连续性、形态和几何关系等差异,从而造成其岩石力学性质及裂缝扩展规律差异。  相似文献

通过对26口井岩心观察,结合区域构造背景,在鄂尔多斯盆地富县探区三叠系延长组中识别出典型的震积岩。该区震积岩代表性沉积构造有液化砂脉、液化卷曲变形、环状层理、负载构造、球枕构造、微断层、微裂缝、震裂岩与震碎角砾岩,其中液化砂脉和液化卷曲变形是地震引起的主要软沉积变形构造。震积岩垂向序列划分为两类:一种以脆性变形为主,自下向上依次为下伏未震层,扰动层,微断层、微裂缝及震裂岩层段,液化卷曲变形层段,震碎角砾岩层段,液化砂脉层段及上覆未震层;另一种以软沉积变形为主,自下至上依次为下伏未震层,环状层段,扰动层,球枕构造及负载构造层段,液化砂脉及液化卷曲变形层,枕状层及上覆未震层。富县探区延长组中的震积岩说明在该盆地晚三叠世存在一个强地震事件活跃期;震积岩中的微裂缝、微断层、震裂岩及液化砂脉可改善储集层物性,同时震碎角砾岩和网状砂脉也是良好的储集层。  相似文献

Devonian in the North Qilian orogenic belt and Hexi Corridor developed terrestrial molasse of later stage of foreland basin caused by collision between the North China plate and Qaidam microplate. The foreland basin triggered a intense earthquake, and formed seismites and earthquake-related soft-sediment deformation. The soft-sediment deformation structures of Devonian in the eastern North Qilian Mts. consist of seismo-cracks, sandstone dykes, syn-depositional faults, microfolds (micro-corrugated lamination), fluidized veins, load casts, flame structures, pillow structures and brecciation. The seismo-cracks, syn-depositional faults and microfolds are cracks, faults and folds formed directly by oscillation of earthquake. The seismic dykes formed by sediment instilling into seismic cracks. Fluidized veins were made by instilling into the seismo-fissures of the fluidized sands. The load casts, flame structures and pillow structures were formed by sinking and instilling caused from oscillation of earthquake along the face between sandy and muddy beds. The brecciation resulted from the oscillation of earthquake and cracking of sedimentary layers. The seismites and soft-sediment deformations in Devonian triggered the earthquake related to tectonic activities during the orogeny and uplift of North Qilian Mts.  相似文献

通过对金沙江中段震积岩的研究,建立了大陆边缘震积岩序列。该序列包括递交断裂层、震碎角砾岩、震褶岩及层内断层、滑塌巨角砾岩、震积角砾岩及震浊积单元,它具有原地相的地震扰动层和异地相的滑来震积层双层结构,两层之间被震积不整合面所分隔。该序列反映了一次地震事件的全过程,将为地质学家识别大陆边缘地震事件提供对比标准。  相似文献

A variety of unusual early post‐depositional deformation structures exist in grainstone and flat‐pebble conglomerate beds of Upper Cambrian strata, western Colorado, including slide scarps, thrusted beds, irregular blocks and internally deformed beds. Thrusted beds up to tens of centimetres thick record thrust movement of a part of a bed onto itself along a moderate to steeply inclined (15° to 40°) ramp, locally producing hanging wall lenses with fault‐bend geometries. Thrust plane orientations are widely distributed, and in some cases nearly oppositely oriented in close proximity, indicating that they did not form as failures acted upon by gravity forces. Irregular bedded to internally deformed blocks are isolated on generally flat upper bedding surfaces. These features represent parts of beds that detached, moved up onto and some distances across, the laterally adjacent undisturbed bed surfaces. Deformation of thin intervals of mud on the ocean floor by moving blocks rules out the possibility of storm‐induced deformation, because the mud was not eroded by high shear stresses that would accompany the extremely large forces required to produce and move the blocks. Finally, internally deformed beds are characterized by large blocks, fitted fabrics of highly irregular fragments and contorted lamination, which represent heterogeneous deformation, such as brecciation and liquefaction. The deformation structures were produced by earthquakes linked to the reactivation of Mesoproterozoic, crustal‐scale shear zones in the central Rockies during the Late Cambrian. Analysis of the deformation structures indicates very large body forces and calculated earthquake‐generated ground motion velocities of ca 1·6 m sec?1. These correspond to moment magnitudes of ca 7·0 or more and a Mercalli Intensity of X+. These are the only known magnitude estimates of Phanerozoic (other than Quaternary) large‐intensity earthquakes for the Rocky Mountain region, and they are as large as, or larger than, previous estimates of Proterozoic earthquakes along these major shear zones of the central Rockies.  相似文献

The north–south-trending upper reaches of the Minjiang River run along the Longmen Shan–Min Shan fault zone, a zone of abrupt topographic change along the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau. Multiple levels of well-preserved soft-sediment deformation structures (seismites) occur in sediments deposited in paleo-dammed lakes in the upper part of the Minjiang River Valley. These deformation structures include liquefied convolute deformation, water-escape structures, flame structures, pseudonodules, ball-and-pillow structures, sedimentary dykes, mud lenses, and large-scale folds. Several kilometers from the barrier bar of the Diexi paleo-dammed lakes, seven deformed structural layers were identified at different heights in late Quaternary stratigraphic sequences near Shawan Village, Maoxian County. Analyses of the deformation structures, landforms, and the structural environment indicate that these deformation structures were caused by earthquakes, slumps, and landslides.OSL (optical stimulated luminescence) and 14C dating of soft-sediment layers from the Shawan site indicate that intense earthquakes occurred during the period 25–20 ka B.P. Therefore, accurate geological dating of deformed features in dammed lake deposits in high mountains and canyons enables the record of moderate- to large-magnitude earthquakes to be extended to the late Pleistocene–Holocene upon the eastern Tibetan Plateau.  相似文献

惠民凹陷沙河街组中存在古地震作用形成的原地扰动层、震浊积岩和震风暴岩,尤以原地扰动层和震浊积岩发育。可见微断层、层内阶梯状断层、震球枕构造、震碎角砾及各种变形构造等震积岩的识别标志。惠民凹陷中央隆起带基山砂体中,震积作用及震积岩分布与火山作用、火成岩分布具有同时间性与同空间性。震积岩,特别是震裂岩和震碎角砾岩中的孔、缝形成早,改善储集层渗透性,可成为一种非均质性很强的储层。该储层具有裂缝-孔隙双重孔隙网络,常形成相对低电阻率油层。   相似文献

Northwestern Algeria, Tell Atlas chain, belongs to the converging Africa-Eurasia plate boundary. Several active faults have been previously identified and several earthquakes occurred in the past. In the present study, seismites are observed in the Quaternary deposits. The identified seismites include injection sand dykes, pillar structures, pillow structures, load-cast structures, water escape structures, sismoslumps, thixotropic wedges, and thixotropic bowls. The following arguments support their seismic origin: (i) presence of active faults able of producing strong earthquakes, (ii) the granulometric characteristics of the deposits are favorable to liquefaction, (iii) the observed features, mainly those related to water escape structures, are comparable to those observed in modern earthquakes. Therefore, such features are evidence of the occurrence of earthquakes of M?>?5.5 magnitude in this study area, which may occur in the future.  相似文献

通过对6口钻井岩心的详细观察,在塔里木盆地西南缘的西昆仑山前叶城凹陷中新统克孜洛依组和安居安组发现同沉积的软沉积物变形构造,包括液化砂脉、负载及球枕构造、挤入构造、液化卷曲变形、软泥触变变形、液化底劈、软布丁构造及同沉积微断层等,分布广,且重复出现。经与典型的震积岩比较认为,它们都属于地震成因的沉积构造。分析认为,克孜洛依组和安居安组的震积岩可分为4个发育时期,时间跨度大约为5 Ma (16-11 Ma),第1、2期时间较长、构造活动较强烈,第3、4期时间较短、构造活动较弱。这是首次在塔西南地区新近系陆相地层中发现震积岩,震积岩的发育与中新世西昆仑山阶段性隆升、山前逆冲带多条逆冲断层活动引发的周期性地震活动有关。  相似文献

衡阳市郊五马归槽始新世鱼化石保存在黑色湖相纹层中。根据纹层序列的对比,发现该地的鱼化石均为同一层位;根据鱼化石在纹层序列中的具体位置及鱼化石的保存状况,笔者推测鱼群的死亡并非由于季节更替,而是由气候干旱引起的湖水盐度升高所控制;黑白纹层的变化是由大气降雨所致。  相似文献
