冰流速是反映在全球气候变化条件下南极冰盖变化及其稳定性最直接和最基本的指标之一,也是精确估算南极冰盖对全球海平面上升贡献的关键数据之一。光学遥感影像因其空间覆盖广、时间和空间分辨率高等优势,是南极冰流速大规模提取的重要数据源。本文首先对现有利用光学遥感影像进行南极冰流速提取的方法进行了综述,介绍了相关的软件和工具。然后,总结了20世纪60年代以来基于光学遥感影像生成的南极冰流速产品,并对南极典型区域的冰流速产品在物质平衡估算、冰架长时序变化监测等方面的应用进行了分析。最后,总结了光学遥感影像用于南极冰流速提取的优势及未来的发展趋势。  相似文献

基于GPS精密点定位(precise point positioning,PPP)技术,利用IGS的精密星历数据编制软件处理了在Amery冰架获取的连续5d的GPS卫星跟踪观测资料,初步获得了冰架前端观测点处的冰流速度和冰流方向。根据定位解算出的高程系列的周期变化,初步推求出观测点处的海潮周日变化参数。研究成果可为后续的物质平衡计算提供依据。  相似文献

The main activities in the joint expedition between CHINARE and ANARE on Amery ice shelf are introduced. Five-day continuous GPS observation data collected on the site which locates at the frontal part of Amery ice shelf was processed with precise point positioning (PPP) technology based on precise products from IGS. Velocity of the surface ice flow on Amery can be derived from the PPP solution. Preliminary result shows that the surface ice flow velocity of the site is 2.25 meters per day, the motion direction is northeast-ward. Semidiurnal oceanic tide and diurnal oceanic tide signal of that site can be recovered from the height variation series of PPP solution. These above solutions can be used to the consequent mass balance calculation.  相似文献

利用欧洲环境卫星(EnviSat)所携带的先进合成孔径雷达(ASAR)数据高时间、高空间分辨率的特点,实现了全南极范围内冰架年崩解面积的高精度估算和崩解类型的解译。利用40期重复覆盖全南极海岸线的EnviSatASAR数据探测了冰架崩解的位置、类型和发生时间,统计分析了2005年8月到2011年8月连续6年南极冰架崩解频率和面积的时空变化。结果显示:(1)2005年—2011年平均崩解面积为2969.7km2,年崩解面积变化幅度较大,年崩解频率略呈下降的趋势;(2)南极冰架崩解主要发生1—3月,其中2月崩解最频繁;(3)东南极威尔克斯地区域是当前南极冰架崩解最活跃的区域,冰架罗斯、龙尼-菲尔希纳及埃默里等3大冰架很稳定且鲜有崩解发生,东南极毛德皇后地区域冰架相对稳定;(4)空间尺度小于100km2的崩解频率占到总频率的94.1%,忽略它们将导致南极年崩解面积低估20.7%—92.9%;(5)以内部冰川应力为主要驱动力的开裂型(Rift-opening)崩解较以外部大气和海洋因素为主要驱动力的融水型(Melt-related)崩解发生更为频繁,但是两者在量上的差异不大(约10%)。  相似文献

Unmodeled sub-daily ocean S2 tide signals that alias into lower frequencies have been detected in the analysis of gravity recovery and climate experiment (GRACE) space gravity fields of GRGS. The most significant global S2 aliased signal occurs off the northwest coast of Australia in a shallow continental shelf zone, a region with high tidal amplitudes at a period of 161 days. The GRACE S2 aliased equivalent water height grids are convolved with Green’s functions to produce GRACE aliased tidal loading (GATL) vertical displacements. The analysis of hourly global positioning system (GPS) vertical coordinate estimates at permanent sites in the region confirms the presence of spectral power at the S2 frequency when the same ocean tide model (FES2004) was used. Thus, deficiencies in the FES2004 ocean tide model are detected both directly and indirectly by the two independent space geodetic techniques. Through simulation, the admittance (ratio of amplitude of spurious long-wavelength output signal in the GRACE time-series to amplitude of unmodeled periodic signals) of the GRACE unmodeled S2 tidal signals, aliased to a 161-day period, is found to have a global average close to 100%, although with substantial spatial variation. Comparing GATL with unmodeled S2 tidal sub-daily signals in the vertical GPS time-series in the region of Broome in NW Australia suggests an admittance of 110–130%.  相似文献

The disintegration of various ice shelves on the Antarctic Peninsula has demonstrated their vulnerability and impacts on tributary glaciers. A satellite image of Wilkins Ice Shelf (WIS) from July of 2007 reveals the formation of a large new double fracture, accompanied by numerous small fractures. We show that bending stresses induced by buoyancy forces were responsible for fracture formation. On February 28-29, 2008, an area of about 425 km2 broke up at a narrow connection of the WIS to one of its confining islands. In contrast to Larsen B Ice Shelf, melt ponds that drain into crevasses played no role in this breakup process. A further breakup of 160 km2 in the same area occurred on May 30-31, 2008 and documented that breakup can occur during austral winter. Radar images reveal a frozen surface, which demonstrates that in this breakup, surface melt water did not play a role. We conclude that ice shelves with strong thickness contrasts carry potential for disintegration. The fact that the WIS experienced two breakup events under two widely contrasting surface conditions (one during the melt season and one during winter) reveals that there may be several reasons for the disintegration of ice shelves that operate under differing circumstances.  相似文献

根据海洋负荷潮理论,利用NAO99b全球海潮模型,计算了中国部分IGS站的海潮位移改正,并将海潮位移改正应用到GPS数据处理当中。在GAMIT软件的解算过程中,分别按加入和不加入海潮位移改正,对GPS基线分量和测站坐标分别进行了计算和比较分析。结果表明,海潮位移改正无论是对GPS基线分量还是对测站坐标,都有一定的影响。  相似文献

Long term variations in Sea ice distribution strongly influence the atmosphere and ocean in the polar regions. In the recent period significant variations in sea ice cover have been observed in both the hemispheres. In the past, studies have been carried out that report the trends either at the Arctic/Antarctic level or at sector level. However, only a few studies have concentrated on the investigation of trends at grid level using scatterometer data. The present study focuses on the investigations of the sea ice trend at 1 × 1 degree grid level over the period 2000–2007 using QuickSCAT 0.2-degree resolution Scatterometer data. It was observed that in the Arctic overall monthly trend is negative in all the sectors, with the Arctic level decline of 3.26% per year. In the Antarctic, region-wise different trends have been observed. Negative trend is observed in the Amundsen- Bellingshausen Seas and also in the Indian Ocean sector near the continental Ice shelves. It was highlighted that significant trends exists within the pockets of marginal seas.  相似文献

南极接地线位置的准确确定对南极物质平衡计算、冰川动力学等具有重要意义。本文阐述了双差干涉测量(DDInSAR)提取接地线的基本原理,并利用欧空局Sentinel-1A/1B雷达卫星数据,基于双差干涉测量技术分别提取了东南极毛德皇后地沿岸冰架与西南极阿蒙森湾西侧Dotson冰架的接地线,将提取结果与已有接地线产品MEa-SUREs进行对比分析。结果表明,利用Sentinel-1A/1B雷达卫星数据,基于DDInSAR方法可对南极接地线进行提取及更新,并可对接地线的回退状况进行持续监测。通过监测,发现在Dotson冰架区域,接地线发生了较大的回退,1996—2018年的22年间,该区域的接地线大约回退2~5 km,其中最大回退距离达7.4 km。  相似文献

Five days of continuous GPS observation data were collected in the frontal zone of the Amery ice shelf and subsequently post-processed using precise point position (PPP) technology based on precise orbit and clock products from the International GNSS service. The surface ice flow velocity of the observed point was derived from PPP to be 2.25 m/day toward the northeast with an azimuth of 41°. Major semi-diurnal and diurnal oceanic tide constituents could be recovered from the 5 days of PPP-derived height variations and compared well with a hydrodynamic ocean tide model. The PPP technique can replace double-difference GPS positioning in remote or hostile environments, and be used to retrieve the surface ice flow velocity without any reference station. Furthermore, the solution can be derived epoch-by-epoch with accuracy in the centimeters to decimeter range.  相似文献

A method of analyzing GRACE satellite-to-satellite ranging data is presented which accentuates signals from diurnal ocean tides and dampens signals from long-period non-tidal phenomena. We form a time series of differences between two independent monthly mean gravity solutions, one set computed from range-rate data along strictly ascending arcs and the other set computed from data along descending arcs. The solar and lunisolar diurnal tides having alias periods longer than a few months, such as K 1, P 1, and S 1, present noticeable variations in the monthly ascending and descending ‘difference’ solutions, while the climate-related signals are largely cancelled. By computing tidal arguments evaluated along the actual GRACE orbits, we decompose and estimate residual tidal signals with respect to our adopted prior model GOT4.7. The adjustment in the tidal height is small yet significant, yielding maximum amplitudes of 4 cm mostly under the Antarctic ice shelves and ~1 cm in general at spatial scales of several hundred kilometer. Moreover, the results suggest there are possible 1-cm errors in the tide model even over oceans well-covered by decades of radar altimetry missions. Independent validation of such small adjustments covering wide areas, however, is difficult, particularly with limited point measurements such as tide gauge.  相似文献

We construct long-term time series of Greenland and Antarctic ice sheet mass change from satellite gravity measurements. A statistical reconstruction approach is developed based on a principal component analysis (PCA) to combine high-resolution spatial modes from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission with the gravity information from conventional satellite tracking data. Uncertainties of this reconstruction are rigorously assessed; they include temporal limitations for short GRACE measurements, spatial limitations for the low-resolution conventional tracking data measurements, and limitations of the estimated statistical relationships between low- and high-degree potential coefficients reflected in the PCA modes. Trends of mass variations in Greenland and Antarctica are assessed against a number of previous studies. The resulting time series for Greenland show a higher rate of mass loss than other methods before 2000, while the Antarctic ice sheet appears heavily influenced by interannual variations.  相似文献

拉斯曼丘陵地区位于东南极伊丽莎白公主地,中国南极中山站位于拉斯曼丘陵的东部,是中国南极科学考察的重要地区。数字高程模型(DEM)是南极冰盖变化研究的基础,卫星测高数据是南极地区构建DEM的主要数据来源。CryoSat-2是新一代用于极地冰盖和海冰监测的测高卫星,联合2013年和2014年南极冬季的CryoSat-2测高数据以及中国、澳大利亚、印度三个国家现场测量的60余个地面高程数据,利用克里金插值方法建立了拉斯曼丘陵地区200 m分辨率的DEM(简称LA-DEM)。利用未参与插值的地面高程数据对新建立的LA-DEM进行了验证,并与Bamber 1km DEM、ICESat DEM、RAMPv2 DEM以及BEDMAP 2等四种国际上常用的南极DEM进行比较,结果表明LA-DEM的高程精度约为19.7 m,优于其他4种南极DEM。  相似文献

在当前全球气候变暖背景下,极地冰盖关键过程和重要参数研究对揭示极地冰盖对全球海平面变化的影响,提高海平面上升贡献的预测精度至关重要。极地科学考察的实地观测数据可以为遥感观测提供校准和验证,降低遥感反演的不确定性。本文基于同济大学全球变化研究团队近年来针对极地冰盖关键参数的测绘遥感与现场考察工作,重点阐述在极地科考观测验证和数据处理方面的研究,包括在南极冰盖的新型测高卫星的空-地协同验证、卫星角反射器布设、粒雪层内部温度观测与模型验证、多平台无人机海冰探测和雪冰环境调查,以及格陵兰冰盖质量变化评估等。最后,本文对未来的极地科考验证计划进行了展望。  相似文献

Because the tide-raising potential is symmetric about the Earth’s polar axis it can excite polar motion only by acting upon non-axisymmetric features of the Earth like the oceans. In fact, after removing atmospheric and non-tidal oceanic effects, polar motion excitation observations show a strong fortnightly tidal signal that is not completely explained by existing dynamical and empirical ocean tide models. So a new empirical model for the effect of the termensual (Mtm and mtm), fortnightly (Mf and mf), and monthly (Mm) tides on polar motion is derived here by fitting periodic terms at these tidal frequencies to polar motion excitation observations that span 2 January 1980 to 8 September 2006 and from which atmospheric and non-tidal oceanic effects have been removed. While this new empirical tide model can fully explain the observed fortnightly polar motion excitation signal during this time interval it would still be desirable to have a model for the effect of long-period ocean tides on polar motion that is determined from a dynamical ocean tide model and that is therefore independent of polar motion observations.  相似文献

利用GRACE、卫星测高和海洋实测温盐数据,探讨了2003~2012年间全球海平面、比容海平面和海水质量等的变化特征,并讨论了南极冰盖和格陵兰冰盖消融对全球海平面变化的影响。全球海平面整体呈上升趋势,上升速度为2.72±0.07 mm/a,且存在显著的空间分布特征。全球海平面、比容海平面和海水质量等的变化还具有显著的季节性特征,其中全球海平面变化的年周期振幅为4.6±0.3 mm。使用经验正交函数分析(EOF)得到全球海平面和比容海平面的季节性变化在南北半球存在显著的差异,但海水质量季节性变化不存在这种差异。南极冰盖和格陵兰冰盖的消融速率分别为-75.7±12.3 Gt/a和-124.1±2.9 Gt/a,对海平面的长期趋势项贡献分别为0.21±0.03 mm/a和0.34±0.01 mm/a,仅占全球海水质量增加速度1.80±0.10 mm/a的12%和19%,总计占31%,因此,两极冰盖质量消融并不是2003-2012年间海水质量增加的最主要因素。  相似文献

As part of the CryoSat Cal/Val activities and the pre-site survey for an ice core drilling contributing to the International Partnerships in Ice Core Sciences (IPICS), ground-based kinematic GPS measurements were conducted in early 2007 in the hinterland of the German overwintering station Neumayer (8.25 W,70.65 S). The investigated area comprises the regions of the ice ridges Halvfarryggen and Søråsen, which rise from the Ekströmisen to a maximum of about 760 m surface elevation, and have an areal extent of about 100 km×50 km each. Available digital elevation models (DEMs) from radar altimetry and the Antarctic Digital Database show elevation differences of up to hundreds of meters in this region, which necessitated an accurate survey of the conditions on-site. An improved DEM of the Ekströmisen surroundings is derived by a combination of highly accurate ground-based GPS measurements, satellite derived laser altimetry data (ICESat), airborne radar altimetry (ARA), and radio echo sounding (RES). The DEM presented here achieves a vertical accuracy of about 1.3 m and can be used for improved ice dynamic modelling and mass balance studies.  相似文献
