宜宾市平安边界创建工作进展顺利

为了认真做好平安边界创建工作,为构建和谐社会打下良好基础,从2008年以来四川省宜宾市民政局按照省民政厅的安排部署,全面开展了省界、市州界和区县界的平安边界创建活动。目前,全市共完成了省界1条（宜宾县与水富县）,市州界4条（宜宾县与沿滩县、江安县与纳溪区、江安县与江阳区、屏山县与沐川县）,区县界11条（翠屏区与宜宾县、翠屏区与南溪县、翠屏区与高县、宜宾县与屏山县、南溪县与江安县、南溪县与长宁县、江安县与长宁县、长宁县与兴文县、高县与筠连县、筠连县与珙县、珙县与兴文县）。

地理新课程教学需注重过程与方法

高中地理课程目标是从知识与技能、过程与方法、情感态度与价值观三个维度对学生进行培养,使学生具有掌握地理知识、运用地理技能、获取地理信息、探索地理问题、关爱乡土、关爱祖国、关爱全球、学会生存、学会学习与学会合作的地理素养及可持续发展的素养。这三维目标在实施过程中是一个有机的整体。它们之间是相互联系、不可分割的,知识与技能是实现过程与方法、情感态度与价值观目标的载体,过程与方法是衔接知识与技能和情感态度与价值观目标的桥梁,而情感态度与价值观又是知识与技能和过程与方法目标的升华。它们统一于学生的发展之中。新课程教学既要重视知识与技能方面的要求,更要注重过程与方法、情感态度与价值观的培养,强化学生在学习活动中的体验、感悟和反思,引导学生在经历和体验中获得知识与技能、学会方法,培养情感,形成正确的价值观,从而将三维目标的统一落实到位。由此我们应当认识到三维目标中过程与方法的重要性。无论知识与技能还是情感态度与价值观的培养,都要通过过程与方法来实现。因此,要使新课程三维教学目标能够真正得到贯彻落实,必须注重过程与方法。

北京大学地貌第四纪学科的创建与发展

1952年全国高校院系调整后,新建的北京大学地质地理系开始了地貌与第四纪方面的教学和研究,标志着北大地貌第四纪学科的建立。65年来,在新构造活动与构造地貌、气候地貌与沉积、流水地貌与沉积、沉积相与比较沉积学、遥感与地理信息系统、第四纪地层与年代学、第四纪气候与环境变迁、海洋地球化学过程与环境演变、环境考古与古代人地关系研究等方面取得了丰硕成果,在一些领域发挥了创新与引领作用,解决了一系列国家建设中面临的问题,为中国地貌第四纪科学的发展做出了重要贡献。在地理学多元化发展的新形势下,北大地貌第四纪学科发展与科学研究将以地球系统科学的视角,加强地貌学与自然地理学各分支以及地球科学其他领域的交叉与融合,深化不同宏观时空尺度演化与现代过程关联的研究、以及影响地貌演化的地球系统各要素及相互作用研究,系统展开气候变化、环境演变与地貌过程的模拟研究,加强地貌第四纪理论研究和新技术新方法的发展与应用,推动中国地貌第四纪科学向更高水平发展。     

中国海南：从经济特区到综合复合型自由贸易港的嬗变

海南自由贸易试验区与自由贸易港规划建设不仅是海南发展的需要,也是中国深化改革,扩大开放,实现经济转型以及应对国际竞争与挑战的重要措施与战略部署。相关研究就海南自由贸易试验区建设的必要性、可行性、模式与实施对策进行了初步分析。为构建自由贸易区的学术研究体系,完善海南自由贸易港规划建设的理论与实践,集中几位长期从事相关研究的地理、经济与规划学者,就海南自由贸易港的类型与功能、产业发展、空间结构、政策与监管以及风险防控等方面进行探讨,以期引起决策者与学术界的深入研究与探讨。     

模型与方法元数据及地理信息服务研究

资源与环境信息系统中数据的元数据标准业已产生,但对于数据使用十分重要的模型与方法元数据尚未有完整的描述,本文提出并分析了模型与方法元数据的概念与内容,同时针对近年提出的地理信息服务,提出了模型与方法元数据的服务模型,以实现对模型与方法的有效管理与分发服务,并得出在资源环境信息系统中基于模型与方法元数据的地理信息服务是切实可行的结论.

Deserts and Aeolian Desertification in China: Book review and some thoughts

Desertification is a global phenomenon that affects about two billion people. It occurs in arid zones where the annual precipitation is below 400 mm, partic- ularly in the marginal areas of the world＇s largest deserts. It is a result of water and wind erosion, over- grazing, global warm-ing, improper soil cultivation, and increased pressure ot population growth, and it causes degradation of soil and natural and agricultural vegetation. The direct result is less food for people and livestock, which influences pop- ulation and animal husbandry fluctuations. Despite ef- forts to combat and reduce desertification, the affected areas are annually increasing.
