The exact calculation of scattering and absorption by various sub-micron sized silicate spheres is presented here, using accurately determined optical constants in the wavelength range from 50 m to 0.21 m. The extinction features near 10 m and 20 m for various samples are discussed. It is found that the ratio of peak extinction at 20 m to that at 10 m is constant for small particles up tor=0.4 m, but is less for particles of radius 1 m. The ratio of maximum extinction in the ultraviolet to that at 10 m decreases with increasing particle size.  相似文献

Orbital stability of quasiperiodic motions in the many dimensional autonomic hamiltonian systems is considered. Studied motions are supposed to be not far from equilibrium, the number of their basic frequencies may be not equal to the number of degrees of freedom, and the procedure of their construction is supposed to be converged. The stability problem is solved in the strict nonlinear mode.Obtained results are used in the stability investigation of small plane motions near the lagrangian solutions of the three-dimensional circular restricted three-body problem. The values of parameters for which the plane motions are unstable have been found.

Some asymptotic solutions in the restricted problem of three bodies by L. G. Lukjanov.
Some particular solutions of the plane restricted problem of three bodies in the form of Liapunov's series are obtained. These solutions asymptotically approach the Lagrange solutions. Convergence is proved.

The equations of motion of the satellite-damper system are derived omitting consideration of the influence of external torques. An inhomogeneous model neutron star with a variable density profile of the type 0(r)=c[1–(2/3)r2/R2]exp(–r2/R2) is considered, where c is the central density, R is the star's radius, and is the inhomogeneity parameter in the radial mass distribution. This parameterization adequately reproduces the results of numerical evolutionary calculations of the density profile and enables one to obtain in analytical form the parameters of hydrostatic equilibrium and the eigenmodes of nonradial oscillations of a nonrotating neutron star, modeled by a spherical mass of incompressible, inviscid liquid. It is shown that a characteristic manifestation of the star's inhomogeneity is the presence of a stable dipole f-mode, the lowest one in the spectrum of natural oscillations. The presence of this mode serves as a general and primary criterion that evidently distinguishes all inhomogeneous hydrodynamic models from the homogeneous Kelvin model, in which the quadrupole mode is the lowest stable mode. Estimates obtained for the periods of nonradial pulsations coincide with the periods of micropulses observed in the average pulse profiles of c-pulsars. This suggests that the detected variations in emission intensity in the range of micropulse duration (on the order of 10–4 sec) are associated with nonradial stellar oscillations.Translated from Astrofizika, Vol. 39, No. 3, pp. 475–488, July–September, 1996.  相似文献

The long-time series of daily means of cosmic-ray intensity observed by four neutron monitors at different cutoff rigidities (Calgary, Climax, Lomnický tít and Huancayo/Haleakala) were analyzed by means of the wavelet transform method in the period range 60 to 1000 days. The contributions of the time evolution of three quasi-periodic cosmic-ray signals (150 d, 1.3 yr and 1.7 yr) to the global one are obtained. While the 1.7-yr quasi-periodicity, the most remarkable one in the studied interval, strongly contributes to the cosmic ray intensity profile of solar cycle 21 (particularly in 1982), the 1.3-yr one, which is better correlated with the same periodicity of the interplanetary magnetic field strength, is present as a characteristic feature for the decreasing phases of the cycles 20 and 22. Transitions between these quasi-periodicities are seen in the wavelet power spectra plots. Obtained results support the claimed difference in the solar activity evolution during odd and even solar activity cycles.  相似文献

A sixth list of objects from the BIG (Byurakan—IRAS galaxies) sample is given: 87 galaxies identified with 60 point sources from the IRAS Point Source Catalog. The identifications were based on the Digital Sky Survey (DSS), the First Byurakan Survey, blue and red maps from the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey, and infrared fluxes at 12, 25, 60, and 100 µm in the region of +65° +69° and 9h15m 14h00m with an area of 111 deg2. We determined the optical coordinates of the identified galaxies, their departures from the IR coordinates, and their V magnitudes, morphological types, angular sizes, and position angles. The objects have optical magnitudes in the range of 12 m .5-21 m .5 and angular sizes in the range of 2-29. Finder charts from the DSS are given for these objects.  相似文献

The stability of the stationary motions of a spin-stabilized satellite is investigated using the Lyapunov second method. The nutating motion of the satellite is damped by a special-purpose device. In case the damping device consists of several independent dampers with one degree of freedom little affecting the satellite motion, their optimal parameters ensuring a maximal rate of damping the nutating motion of the satellite are determined with the hypothesis of resonance adjustmentsof the dampers. The Krylov-Bogolyubov method is used to investigate the influence of external moments on the motion of the satellite rotation axis.
