Résumé En 1977, deux profils sismiques ont été réalisés en Martinique, un dans la région volcanique de la Montagne Pelée, l'autre dans la partie est de l'île. Le premier couvrait des distances de 3 à 23 km et le second de 2 à 50 km.Les structures superficielles du volcan sont interprétées par un modèle à trois couches. Sur une couche déjà connue, à 6,1 km/s nous trouvons, avec une épaisseur de 0,4 à 2,6 km, une vitesse de 4,3 km/s. En surface et jusqu'à une profondeur de 0,8 à 1,4 km la vitesse est d'environ 2,7 à 2,9 km/s.Dans la partie est de la Martinique, il existe une vitesse élevée-6,5 km/s—à partir d'une profondeur faible, de l'ordre de 3 km.
In 1977, two seismic profiles were carried out in Martinique, one in the area of Montagne Pelée volcano, and the second in the eastern part of the island. The length of the first profile ranges from 3 to 23 km and the second from 2 to 50 km. The interpretation shows that the superficial structures of the volcano may be characterized by a three layer model: in the first layer the compressional velocity is about 2.7 to 2.9 km/s, the thickness varying from 0.8 to 1.4 km. The second layer has a velocity of 4.3 km/s and the thickness goes from 0.4 to 2.6 km. The deeper layer known at Leeward West Indies has a 6.1 km/s velocity.The second profile shows that the eastern part of Martinique is marked by a high velocity of 6.5 km/s, found at a depth of 3 km.

It is shown that very strong, worldwide correlations exist between the bed concavity coefficients of a wide range of subaerial aqueous flows with exponential longitudinal profiles and both the corresponding stream segment lengths and exponential bed particle size diminution coefficients. The former correlation is complementary to an existing similar correlation for the exponential size diminution coefficients, while the latter is consistent with earlier theoretical correlations based on very limited data. The data supporting the correlations extend over virtually the whole range of stream lengths, solids concentrations, and bed sediment particle sizes found on Earth. This universality strongly suggests that there are underlying mechanisms common to all kinds of mobile bed subaerial aqueous flows. However, the scatter of the data for the correlations is significant and is mostly attributable to variations in hydraulic conditions and sediment properties rather than measurement errors. 大别山北缘位于大别造山带与华北陆块会聚地带,其深部精细结构还存在一些争议问题.根据近年来在研究区域内采集的地球物理数据,通过OMEGA、OASIS和FUGRO-LCT等多个重磁电震软件处理,获得了深部信息丰富的多种地球物理属性图像.本文从中选取了2条平行的电法和地震剖面,辅以高精度重磁数据,揭示了大别山北缘深部地质结构总体呈现华北陆块南向俯冲、北淮阳构造带向北逆冲的特征,并可清楚地识别大别山北缘造山带、肥南山前坳陷带和肥北斜坡带.其特征分别如下:①大别山北缘造山带,地震反射杂乱,电性高阻大于2000Ωm,以磨子潭-晓天断裂为界分为北大别杂岩带和北淮阳构造带,主要由大别群、卢镇关杂岩和佛子岭群组成,沿舒城-信阳断裂逆冲于中、下侏罗统之上,浅部发育北倾的金寨-龙门冲滑覆断裂.②肥南山前坳陷带,上部为中、新生界,呈现中低阻特征,地震反射界面清楚,断面波明显;下部为华北型前中生界沉积岩(上部可能残存古生界),电性特征为低阻(5~50 Ωm),地震反射较连续,内部反射弱.以六安断裂为界分为舒城凹陷和肥中断裂带,其北侧边界为肥中断裂.③肥北斜坡带,上部主要为侏罗系,呈现中低阻、水平层状地震反射特征;下部主要为霍邱群,电性为高阻,地震反射杂乱;中间为华北型前中生界沉积岩,向北逐渐减薄、直至缺失.上述认识将为华北陆块南向俯冲、南北板块碰撞缝合线和油气资源勘查等研究提供深部地质约束.  相似文献

This paper outlines a general framework for analysis of the problem of beach gradients which divides the system into: (1) the independent controls, (2) the hydrodynamics, (3) the sediment dynamics, and (4) the morphodynamics. A model is derived from the combination of these stages which shows close agreement with field data for wave steepnesses of less than about 0.06, but predicts lower beach gradients than arc observed for steeper waves. The use of ‘analytical feedback’ in the present model rather than the ‘iterative feedback’ which is used in computer simulations demonstrates that differential sediment transport may be responsible for stabilizing the beach gradient.  相似文献

Observational evidence for estuarine circulation in the German Wadden Sea   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Observational evidence is presented, which corroborates the hypothesis of the general presence of estuarine circulation in the Wadden Sea as put forward in a previous study (Burchard et al., 2008). Current velocity data from moored ADCPs (in the Hörnum Deep south of Sylt Island, 2002-2009) and ship cruises (in several locations in the German Wadden Sea, 2000-2008) were analysed. As a general result, the vertical current profiles above the benthic boundary layer are usually more homogeneous during flood than during ebb, with a pronounced dependence on the cross-shore horizontal density difference. This tidal asymmetry consequently must lead to a residual outflow of Wadden Sea waters in the upper part and a residual inflow of water in the lower part of the water column, thus giving a generic explanation for the obvious net import of suspended sediments from the German Bight into the Wadden Sea.  相似文献

Exchange of groundwater and lake water with typically quite different chemical composition is an important driver for biogeochemical processes at the groundwater‐lake interface, which can affect the water quality of lakes. This is of particular relevance in mine lakes where anoxic and slightly acidic groundwater mixes with oxic and acidic lake water (pH < 3). To identify links between groundwater‐lake exchange rates and acid neutralization processes in the sediments, exchange rates were quantified and related to pore‐water pH, sulfate and iron concentrations as well as sulfate reduction rates within the sediment. Seepage rates measured with seepage meters (?2.5 to 5.8 L m‐2 d‐1) were in reasonable agreement with rates inverted from modeled chloride profiles (?1.8 to 8.1 L m‐2 d‐1). Large‐scale exchange patterns were defined by the (hydro)geologic setting but superimposed by smaller scale variations caused by variability in sediment texture. Sites characterized by groundwater upwelling (flow into the lake) and sites where flow alternated between upwelling and downwelling were identified. Observed chloride profiles at the alternating sites reflected the transient flow regime. Seepage direction, as well as seepage rate, were found to influence pH, sulfate and iron profiles and the associated sulfate reduction rates. Under alternating conditions proton‐consuming processes, for example, sulfate reduction, were slowed. In the uppermost layer of the sediment (max. 5 cm), sulfate reduction rates were significantly higher at upwelling (>330 nmol g‐1 d‐1) compared to alternating sites (<220 nmol g‐1 d‐1). Although differences in sulfate reduction rates could not be explained solely by different flux rates, they were clearly related to the prevailing groundwater‐lake exchange patterns and the associated pH conditions. Our findings strongly suggest that groundwater‐lake exchange has significant effects on the biogeochemical processes that are coupled to sulfate reduction such as acidity retention and precipitation of iron sulfides. The paper concerns the complex study of pedogenic and magnetic characteristics of unpolluted soil profiles from Ukraine (3 profiles, of which two represent chernozem and one kastanozem) and Poland (1 profile of chernozem), all with loess parent material. Two of the profiles were situated further south than the other two. The “southern” zone is characterized by lower precipitation rate and higher annual temperatures than the “northern” zone. Depth variations of magnetic properties obtained with various methods were compared with pedogenic characteristics. The common characteristic of all profiles is enhancement of susceptibility in their upper parts related to the presence of superparamagnetic/ single-domain grains of maghemite/oxidized magnetite of pedogenic origin. However, variations of magnetic characteristics measured down depth profiles differ between profiles probably due to differences in climatic conditions and, perhaps, parent loess.  相似文献

If the three-dimensional form of a hillslope is regarded as an infinite population of two-dimensional slope profiles, values for attributes of the form of the hillslope can be determined by sampling and estimating the means of the attributes of the population of slope profiles. Twelve attributes are examined in seven first-order drainage basins located on the South Downs in East Sussex to determine necessary sample sizes. Results show that if spatial randomness is assumed the size of sample required varies considerably from one attribute to another but is commonly very large. Of four alternatives to spatial randomness that are tested, consideration of both hillslope plan form and valley asymmetry are shown not to lead to reduction in sample size. However, results do suggest that maximum slope, percentage of profile length in the range 5° to < 10°, and mean angular difference between adjacent slope segments may all be dependent upon distance of the slope profile down valley. Furthermore, initial tests of the effect of spatial autocorrelation suggest that for some attributes consideration needs to be given to this factor when determining sampling strategies.  相似文献

A previous model for nearshore orthogonal gradients (Hardisty, 1986) was based upon a simple bedload function and identified feedback relationships between the equilibrium seabed gradient and wave induced flow asymmetry. That model is developed here with the inclusion of suspended load transport, first order shoaling transformations, second order wave induced flows, and a measure of the sediment grain size. The results are compared with some of the general features of prototype geomorphologies.  相似文献

Areas which are geodynamically different have different behaviors both in their thermal regime and seismic activity. A stable area has a geotherm which can be considered as standard, extensional and compressional areas have, respectively, high and low temperature gradients. The Italian region includes different geodynamical areas and all such situations are present. We consider the Apulian platform as an example of a stable area and the Tuscany-Latium as an example of an extensional area. For both of them the present geotherms are calculated, taking into account, for the Tuscany-Latium, its thermal history. Assuming that each region is subject to a constant strain rate, the stresses are calculated as functions of depth and time. The rheological behavior is assumed to be linear viscoelastic, with viscosity dependent on temperature and elastic parameters dependent on lithology. The geothermal profile and the rheological structure of the lithosphere remarkably affect the processes of stress accumulation which control the distribution of seismic activity. The abrupt decrease of the temperature gradient at the Moho produces considerably higher stress values with respect to the case of uniform gradient, thus favoring subcrustal seismicity. In the case of a standard temperature gradient, subcrustal seismicity is predicted and a gap in seismicity, indicating a soft intracrustal layer, exists if there is a discontinuity in rheology. By contrast, in the case of a high-temperature gradient, subcrustal seismicity is not to be expected, even in the presence of a discontinuity in rheology, since subcrustal temperatures are already too high to permit a sufficient stress accumluation.  相似文献

基于华北典型污染地区的地基多轴差分吸收光谱仪(MAX-DOAS)近4年的观测数据,利用最优估计算法和LIDORT辐射传输模式反演了该区域气溶胶的消光系数垂直廓线和光学厚度(AOD).MAX-DOAS观测反演的AOD与全球气溶胶观测网络同波段在华北地区的AOD间具有很好的一致性,相关系数都在0.9以上,证明MAX-DOAS具备对华北污染区域气溶胶光学厚度和消光系数垂直廓线的反演能力.AOD的反演误差表现为冬季最大,春夏最小,早晚大于正午,这是因为冬季以及早晚太阳天顶角较大导致信噪比偏小,所以AOD反演误差偏大.反演廓线表明该区域气溶胶主要集中在1 km以下的边界层,浓度随高度呈指数递减,部分情况下峰值出现在300 m处;气溶胶光学厚度夏季最大,冬季最小,正午较大,早晚较小.在东风条件下浓度最高,表明东边(即重工业城市唐山方向)的输送对香河和周边区域的气溶胶积聚有重要贡献.  相似文献

The logarithmic layer of double-averaged (in time and space) streamwise velocity profiles obtained from field measurements made in the Swiss rivers, Venoge and Chamberonne is parameterized and discussed. Velocity measurements were made using a 3D Acoustic Doppler Velocity Profiler. Both riverbeds are hydraulically rough, composed of coarse gravel, with relative submergences (h/D50) of 5.25 and 5.96, respectively. From the observations, the flow may be divided into three different layers: a roughness layer near the bed, an equivalent logarithmic layer and a surface or outer layer. It was found that a logarithmic law can describe the double-averaged profiles in the layer 0.30 < z/h < 0.75. The parameterization of the logarithmic law is discussed. Special emphasis is given to the geometric parameters roughness and zero-displacement heights and to the equivalent von Karman constant.  相似文献

Although the near-bed, wave induced currents predicted by the various wave theories are responsible for seabed sediment transport, it is presently unclear which theory should be included in coastal geomorphic models. The theoretical expressions for near-bed, shorenormal flows are re-examined and the predictions are tested with morphodynamic and laboratory data. Five wave theories (Airy, Stokes, Cnoidal, Solitary, and Gerstner) are summarized here and arranged to predict the maximum onshore and offshore near-bed flows and the flow asymmetry as functions of the wave period, the wave height, and the water depth. Morphodynamic argument suggests that only Stokes and Cnoidal wave theories predict the asymmetry required to generate prototype seabed profiles in intermediate water depths. Laboratory measurements of wave induced near-bed flows are then reported and analysed. The results suggest that Stokes wave theory over-predicts the observed peak flows. A correction is derived which is shown to be analogous to the pressure attenuation corrections which are routinely applied to wave recording, seabed mounted transducer measurements.  相似文献

Most of the streams in the Mediterranean region are temporary, following predictable seasonal of flooding and drying, with a transition from lotic conditions to shallow lentic conditions. The goal of our study was to assess the nitrogen and phosphorus dynamics in channel-bed processes of temporary streams between floods. Results show that, during winter, temperatures ranged between 9.5 and 11.2 °C and oxygen concentration ranged from 8.0 to 9.5 mg L−1, whereas, during summer, temperatures varied between 21.2 and 26.8 °C and oxygen between 1.2 and 5.3 mg L−1, with oxygen depletion in the pools during the night. The nitrate concentrations were far more abundant during winter (February), while ammonium concentration increased after stream fragmentation into pools (especially in July when oxygen depletion conditions favoured ammonification). Results on sediment profiles showed that the most active sediment layers for NH4-N are the top 2–3 cm, corresponding to the sediment depositional sites of the stream. Phosphate concentrations had larger variability, yet concentrations decreased from winter to spring and increased again in summer, when the shallow water pools were formed. Sediment profiles at the sediment depositional sites showed that PO4-P was more dynamic in the first 6 cm.

In Mediterranean temporary streams, nutrient dynamics vary seasonally, as the system transits from lotic conditions to shallow lentic conditions, evidencing the regeneration of nutrients from organic and inorganic matter during the flow cessation period.  相似文献

Groundwater temperature and electrical conductivity logs were applied in this study to gain an understanding of the hydrogeological behaviour of a complex system. This system, compartmentalized by a large number of fractures, which may even cause geothermal anomalies, is that of the Campo de Dalías in the south‐east of the Iberian Peninsula. In addition to this complexity one must consider the different levels with aquifer properties and their varying lithologies, which in some cases are in direct contact with the sea. Vertical sections based upon the various logs allow lateral correlation to be made between the anomalies detected, and provide information on the existence of both ascending and descending vertical flows, and the inflow of sea water into the system. Analysis of environmental isotopes (18O and D) indicate the areas of recharge with the greatest flow velocity. No seasonal variation in the isotopes was observed, which suggests that the residence time of the groundwater in the aquifer is several years. Radiocarbon dating gave estimates of generally long residence times, although in some sectors it is possible to detect the current recharge based on its tritium content, from rainwater infiltration or seawater intrusion. Artificial reefs can enhance habitat heterogeneity, especially in seabed degraded by bottom-dredging and trawling. However, the trophodynamics of such reef systems are not well understood. This study provided baseline data on trophic relationships in the benthic environment associated with artificial reefs in late spring and mid summer of subtropical Hong Kong, using fatty acid profiles as an indicator. Data from sediments collected at the reef base, materials from sediment traps deployed on top and bottom of the reefs, total particulate matter from the water column and oyster tissues from reef surface were subjected to principal component analysis. Results showed variations of fatty acid profiles in the total particulate matter, upper sediment trap and oyster tissue samples collected in the two samplings, indicating seasonal, trophodynamic changes within the reef system. The wastes produced by fish aggregating at the reefs can also contribute a source of biodeposits to the nearby benthic environment.  相似文献

An examination of summer precipitation over Asia based on TRMM/TMI   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
A 6-year dataset of summer monthly mean precipitation derived from Tropical Precipitation Measure-ment Mission (TRMM)-Microwave Imager (TMI) was used to delineate the spatial distribution patterns of precipitation throughout Asian areas, which indicates that there are three rainfall centers located at the northern coast of the Bay of Bengal, the South China Sea and the western equatorial Pacific Warm Pool, respectively. Based upon the analysis of horizontal distribution, the capability of TMI for characterizing terrestrial and maritime precipitation has been evaluated and compared with Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) dataset. It was found that TMI and GPCP are well consistent with each other, while a few significant differences occur at several regions over land. By investigating rainfall esti-mates over six specific locations in Asia, a systematic underestimation of TMI was demonstrated, which could be explained by the inherent deficiency within TMI terrestrial algorithm relying on scat-tering signal from ice particles in a precipitation system. A further analysis shows that the highly in-homogeneous distribution of rain gauges employed by GPCP contributes a great deal to the significant discrepancy between GPCP and TMI, especially over regions surrounding the Tibetan Plateau where rain gauges are quite scarce.  相似文献

Two approaches to the simulation of stable and equilibrium longitudinal profiles and slopes are considered. The first one deals with a solution to the equation of solid matter (sediment) continuity in the equilibrium case and the second approach deals with the application of variational principles. The approaches considered and results obtained can be used in hydroengineering construction for designing stable and equilibrium longitudinal profiles of water streams and slopes.  相似文献

Abstract

Temperature profiles (temperature as function of depth) can be used to derive vertical flow velocities or recharge rates. In many cases, solutions to the one-dimensional (1-D) heat transport equation are used, considering steady-state boundary conditions. Factors which can influence the derivation of the mean vertical flow velocity are studied here. Therefore, an explicit finite-difference approximation to the 1-D heat transport equation coupled with an inverse scheme was used to interpret temperature profiles. Measurement error (larger than 0.05°C) can result in important deviation of the derived mean flow velocity. Variation of vertical flow velocity as a function of time leads to asymmetric temperature envelopes. Yearly variation in vertical flow velocities, or temperature variations of the recharge water, also results in asymmetric temperature envelopes. Interpretation of these asymmetric envelopes leads to important differences between derived and actual mean vertical flow velocities.
