This paper provides a status report of the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) highway applications based on studies conducted in both Scandinavia and the USA. After several years of research local transportation agencies are now beginning to implement GPR technology for both network and project level surveys. This paper summarizes the principles of operation of both ground-coupled and air-launched GPR systems together with a discussion of both signal processing and data interpretation techniques. In the area of subgrade soil evaluation GPR techniques have been used to nondestructively identify soil type, to estimate the thickness of overburden and to evaluate the compressibility and frost susceptibility of subgrade soil. In road structure surveys, GPR has been used to measure layer thickness, to detect subsurface defects and to evaluate base course quality. In quality control surveys, GPR techniques have been used for thickness measurements, to estimate air void content of asphalt surfaces and to detect mix segregation. Future developments are described where the technique has great potential in assisting pavement engineers with their new pavement designs and in determining the optimal repair strategies for deteriorated roadways.  相似文献

We explore a package of parallel porous layers, each filled with a different fluid. Assume that this package is sampled by an elastic wave with the wavelength much larger than the thickness of an individual layer. Also assume that the layers are hydraulically isolated from each other, meaning that the diffusion length is smaller than that of the individual layer. This assumption is relevant to a patchy saturation scenario. Suppose that we wish to conduct the fluid substitution operation on this package treated as a single porous elastic body. What is the effective bulk modulus of the pore fluid to be used in this operation that will result in the same elastic modulus as computed by Backus averaging the individual moduli of the layers? We address this question analytically by assuming that the porosity, dry frame, and the mineral matrix properties of the individual layers are the same for all layers. The only difference between the layers is the pore fluid. We find that the resulting effective bulk modulus of the fluid thus derived falls between the arithmetic and harmonic averages of the fluid bulk moduli in the layers. It can be approximated by a linear combination of these two bounds where the weights are 0.50 and 0.50 or 0.75 for the arithmetic average and 0.25 for the harmonic average, depending on the elastic moduli of the dry frame, the mineral, and the pore fluids. This solution also provides a relation between the effective bulk modulus of the pore fluid in the system under examination and water saturation to be used in the fluid substitution operation at a coarse spatial scale.  相似文献

The combination of high strain modulus from conventional light weight deflectometer (LWD) analysis and low strain modulus from LWD-induced seismic analysis would move the pavement community towards field characterization of non-linear soil stiffness for use in mechanistic-empirical pavement design. This paper explores the experimental and numerical analysis of surface seismic waves during conventional light weight deflectometer testing. Field experiments were conducted on clay, silt and gravel soils to characterize the nature of LWD-induced surface waves and to determine both low and high strain moduli. The usable high frequency limit was found to be 300 Hz for LWD-induced surface waves, enabling the low strain modulus characterization of the top 0.3–0.5-m-thick soil layer. A numerical investigation revealed that modal interference is a significant contributor to near field effects, and that a distance of one wavelength between the LWD center and receiver array center is required to minimize these effects. The LWD-induced surface wave strain levels at a 1 m offset from the LWD were found to be on the order of 10−2 to 10−3% compared to the 10−3 to 10−4% strain levels associated with conventional small hammer-induced surface waves. The measured low and high strain modulus compares well with published modulus reduction functions.  相似文献

为研究G6京藏高速兰州—海石湾段红层路基填料导致的沉降问题,建立二自由度路基路面耦合离散元模型。通过迭代运算,得到各层材料的细观参数,编写Fish函数,用冲击荷载及半正弦荷载模拟交通荷载作用,在此基础上分析荷载作用下路基路面各层颗粒的位移和应力时程曲线。研究表明:基层与红层填料交界面处出现位移分层现象,基层受水平拉应力作用,是裂缝发展的高风险区,在公路运营过程中应定期重点监测该区域裂缝的发生。PFC模型实现了路基土体及路面结构层在离散元软件中协同变形的耦合,为不良路基地区道路的病害问题及沉降变形计算提供研究思路,为该地区后续的路基病害整治奠定理论基础。  相似文献

The spectral analysis of surface waves (SASW) method is an in situ, seismic method for determining the shear wave velocity (or maximum shear modulus) profile of a site. The SASW test consists of three steps: field testing, evaluation of dispersion curve by phase unwrapping method, and determination of shear modulus profile by inversion process. In general, field testing and dispersion curve evaluation are regarded as simple work. However, because of characteristic of Fourier transform used in the conventional phase unwrapping method, dispersion curve is sensitive to background noise and body waves in the low frequency range. Furthermore, under some field conditions such as pavement site, the usual phase unwrapping method can lead to erroneous dispersion curve. To overcome problem of the usual phase unwrapping method, in this paper, a new method of determining dispersion curve for SASW method was applied using time–frequency analysis based on harmonic wavelet transform as an alternative method of a current phase unwrapping method. To estimate the applicability of proposed method to SASW method, numerical simulations at various layered soil and pavement profiles were performed and the dispersion curves by proposed method are more reliable than those by the usual phase unwrapping method.  相似文献

探讨了探地雷达检测高速公路路面厚度的物理前提,并根据我国公路工程建设的实际情况,建立了高等级公路路面结构地球物理模型.系统地介绍了雷达检测路面厚度的方法原理,并对检测中技术参数的选择,如:采样频率、时窗、检测速度进行了详细的说明.介绍了自制的高速公路路面厚度雷达探测解释系统各个模块,如:数据预处理中的时、空域滤波,偏移等方法,并总结面层与基层的反射波三个重要特征,为辅助计算机自动识别反射波打下基础.应用SIR-3000型探地雷达于益常高速公路路面厚度交工验收检测中,通过55个钻孔抽样对比表明,雷达检测能很好地达到了评价路面厚度的目的,为工程质量评价提供了可靠的科学依据.  相似文献

Seismic safety of structures depends on the structure's ability to absorb the seismic energy that is transmitted from ground to structure. One parameter that can be used to characterize seismic energy is the energy flux. Energy flux is defined as the amount of energy transmitted per unit time through a cross-section of a medium, and is equal to kinetic energy multiplied by the propagation velocity of seismic waves. The peak or the integral of energy flux can be used to characterize ground motions. By definition, energy flux automatically accounts for site amplification. Energy flux in a structure can be studied by formulating the problem as a wave propagation problem. For buildings founded on layered soil media and subjected to vertically incident plane shear waves, energy flux equations are derived by modeling the building as an extension of the layered soil medium, and considering each story as another layer. The propagation of energy flux in the layers is described in terms of the upgoing and downgoing energy flux in each layer, and the energy reflection and transmission coefficients at each interface. The formulation results in a pair of simple finite-difference equations for each layer, which can be solved recursively starting from the bedrock. The upgoing and downgoing energy flux in the layers allows calculation of the energy demand and energy dissipation in each layer. The methodology is applicable to linear, as well as nonlinear structures.  相似文献

孔隙度在岩石物理和地震勘探领域都是一个非常重要的参数,水饱和地层的孔隙度可以用于求海底地层的弹性模量进而求取纵横波速度、识别水合物以及估计水合物的储量等.然而在没有打钻的情况下要相对准确地了解海底未固结成岩地层的孔隙度变化趋势是困难的.历史上有学者提出了几个模型,都是基于孔隙度随深度的增加呈现指数下降的趋势,并且需要知道指数模型中的若干参数,因此就产生了两个问题,一是孔隙度是否随深度增加而呈现指数下降,二是指数模型中参数如何选取.本文从另外一个角度,即利用海底介质的压实性从表层开始往下逐层求取水饱和地层的孔隙度,此方法被称之为"体积模量法",它仅需要知道表层孔隙度和地层矿物组分,从而节省了勘探成本.本文将该方法应用于我国南海地区和美国ODP井数据,结果与测井数据以及地震反演数据吻合得较好.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical case study to explore one‐dimensional subsurface air pressure variation in a coastal three‐layered unsaturated zone. The upper layer is thin and much less permeable than the middle layer, and water table is located in the very permeable lower layer. An analytical solution was derived to describe the air pressure variation caused by tide‐induced water table fluctuations. We revisited the case study at Hong Kong International Airport conducted by Jiao and Li (2004) who used a two‐dimensional numerical model. The analytical prediction using the parameter values equivalent to the two‐dimensional numerical model agreed very well with the observed air pressure, indicating the validity and applicability of our one‐dimensional model in approximating the actual situation in this coastal zone with adequate accuracy. The analysis revealed that the asphalt pavement played an important role in causing air pressure fluctuations below it. Abnormally high air pressure can be caused beneath the surface pavement when the air permeability decreases due to rainfall infiltration, which may lead to heaving problems during rising tides.  相似文献

This review paper deals with the dynamic response of road pavements to moving loads on their surface. The road pavement can be modeled as a beam, a plate, or the top layer of a layered soil medium. The foundation soil can be modeled as a system of elastic springs and dashpots or a homogeneous or layered half-space. The material behavior of the pavement can be elastic or viscoelastic, while that of the foundation layers elastic, viscoelastic, water-saturated poroelastic or even inelastic. The loads are concentrated or distributed of finite extent, may vary with time and move with constant or variable speed. The analysis is done by analytical, analytical/numerical and purely numerical methods, such as finite element and boundary element methods, under conditions of plane strain or full three-dimensionality. A number of representative examples is presented in order to illustrate the problem and the methods of analysis, demonstrate the dynamic effects of moving loads on the layered soil medium and indicate the implications of the results on road and airport pavement design.  相似文献

数字岩心是计算岩石弹性性质的一类常用方法.龙马溪组页岩具有多矿物构成、复杂微结构和强非均质等特征,常规岩石物理的弹性等效解析建模局限性较大,目前流行的静态数值等效建模方法的精度有限.本文基于高分辨率的页岩数字岩心数据,采用多阈值分割方法将数字岩心分解为黏土、石英、孔隙、TOC、长石类、黄铁矿类等六种矿物类型;利用矿物组分等效模量法计算各类矿物的弹性模量;采用二元函数分水岭方法表征不同压力下的岩石孔隙变形和颗粒接触关系变化;通过取向分布函数(ODF)定量分析矿物颗粒展布造成的各向异性特征.最后基于Biot孔弹方程,采用不分裂卷积完全匹配层(CPML)旋转交错网格有限差分法模拟不同压力下弹性波在数字岩心中的传播.以未加压的数字岩心为参考模型,计算不同压力下弹性波走时的平均时间差,进而估算各压力点的数字岩心等效速度.与该岩心样品的超声实验测量速度比较,动态法数值计算结果略偏高,据此校正数值计算过程中表征岩石微结构及颗粒接触关系随压力变化的二元函数,有效改善动态法弹性等效数值建模精度.  相似文献

The purpose of this study, which concerns the stochastic dynamic stiffness of foundations for large offshore wind turbines, is to quantify uncertainties related to the first natural frequency of a turbine supported by a surface footing and to estimate the low event probabilities. Herein, a simple model of a wind turbine structure with equivalent coupled springs at the base is calibrated with the mean soil property values. A semianalytical solution, based on the Green׳s function for a layered half-space is utilized for estimation of foundation responses. Soil elastic modulus and layer depth are considered as random variables with lognormal distributions. The uncertainties are quantified, and the estimation of rare events of the first natural frequency is discussed through an advanced reliability approach based on subset simulation. This analysis represents a first step in the estimation of the safety with respect to the failure of a turbine in the fatigue limit state.  相似文献

针对多波叠前深度偏移速度模型的建立问题,提出在CDP道集上利用互换原理组成伪地集作为叠前偏移速度分析的数据道集,先用叠前时间偏移方法求取层间互不影响的等效偏移速度模型,再用餐前深度偏移方法逐层求取层速度模型.对各层的速度质量、整个速度模型层位结构及速度横向变化,采用人机交互方式进行监控,并在速度叠代中引入全局寻优的遗传算法,使整个速度模型建立过程具有稳定、可靠和可视化的优点.经理论和实际资料处理结果证明,本方法是行之有效的.  相似文献

目前,我国处于开发中后期的油田平均产水率高达80%以上.因此对产层进行评价,确定地层动态渗透率等参数及剩余油的平面分布,由此研究其特点具有十分重要的意义.在储层径向流动方程分析的基础上,研究了储层渗透率与产液量/吸水量和油并内流压变化等生产测井资料之间的关系,提出了利用油田生产测井资料估算各产层的动态渗透率的方法.该方法不需关井,计算过程相对简单、可以节约成本,还可以避免常规压力恢复或压力降落试井造成低产井降产甚至停产的可能性.计算结果能较好地反映各小层的产液性质.  相似文献

In reflection surveys and velocity analysis, calculations of interval velocities and layer-thicknesses of a multilayered horizontal structure are often based on Dix's equation which requires the travel times at zero offsets and a prior estimate of the root mean squared velocities.In this paper a method is presented which requires only the reflection travel-time data. A set of equations are derived which relate the interval velocity and thickness of a layer to the reflection travel time from the top and the bottom of that layer, the offset distances and the ray parameter. It is shown that the difference of the offset distances and the difference of the picked travel times of any reflected rays with the same value of ray parameter from the top and the bottom of a horizontal layer can be used to calculate the interval velocity and thickness of that layer.  相似文献

利用重力异常揭示地壳三维密度结构是重力资料地质解释的目标和任务,密度反演的好坏至关重要.本文对华北克拉通进行了重力异常多尺度密度反演研究,首先利用小波变换对重力异常进行多尺度分解,接着利用功率谱分析方法估算各层场源的平均深度,然后利用广义密度反演方法进行各层密度反演,对华北地区进行了多层密度反演,得到其密度结构,并进行地质解释和油气藏分析.结果显示了重力场多尺度密度反演方法的有效性,对华北地区密度结构的地质含义进行了初步分析,位于造山带中的低密度异常主要反映沿造山带展布的花岗岩体.对比华北东部区浅层密度扰动与油气坳陷位置,发现油气坳陷都表现为低幅度的低密度异常区.说明利用小波多尺度反演提取的密度信息对油气勘探的部署有一定指导意义.  相似文献

The resistance of a soil layer to steady horizontal vibration of an elastic pile is theoretically investigated. The pile is assumed to be vertical and of circular cross-section. The soil is modelled as a linear viscoelastic layer with hysteretic material damping. A closed form solution is obtained for the resistance of the soil layer to the motion. This resistance depends on shear modulus of soil, frequency, pile slenderness, material damping and Poisson's ratio. A parametric study of the effect of these parameters is included. The soil layer resistance is expressed in a form which can be used directly in the solution of the soil-pile interaction problem which is treated in a subsequent paper. The approach also applies for rigid deeply embedded footings.  相似文献

黏滑断层隧道减错措施参数对减错效果的影响分析   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:1  
为提高黏滑断层隧道的结构安全性和稳定性,对黏滑断层隧道设置不同缝宽减错缝、不同刚度减错层的减错效果进行研究。研究结果表明:断层黏滑错动对上盘隧道的影响远大于下盘;减错缝对上盘部分隧道结构的减错效果优于下盘,其中上盘减错效果最大为24.50%,下盘减错效果最大为9.26%;减错层对下盘部分隧道结构的减错效果略优于上盘,其中下盘减错效果最大为105.32%,上盘减错效果最大为78.07%;随着减错缝宽度的增加,隧道上盘减错效果变好,下盘缝宽10—15cm减错效果最好;随着减错层弹性模量的增加,隧道上下盘减错效果降低,当减错层弹性模量增加到一定程度(约100MPa),减错效果趋于稳定。研究成果可为黏滑断层隧道的减错结构设计及施工提供参考。  相似文献

A numerical simulation of electromagnetic propagation through a multilayered medium is performed in order to explain and interpret the signal received from the radar sounding of a temperate glacier. During the winter of 1990, several radar profiles were obtained on the Mont-de-Lans glacier in the French Alps with a ground penetrating radar which uses a phase modulation of the transmitted pulse by coded sequences. The pulse compression is obtained by applying the matched filter to the received signal, which provides a range-resolution of about 8 m in the ice. The profiles recorded on the temperate glacier do not show a single clear reflection from the ice-bedrock interface, but they exhibit widely distributed energy decreasing with depth. This may be due to the inhomogeneous inner structure of the temperate glacier and we use a simple model of a layered medium to compute a simulation of the propagation. Thus, partial reflection at each layer and scattering from a rough basal interface may explain the observed signal. A computer-based technique is used to locate on the data the bottom of the glacier in order to estimate the ice thickness. The results from the different radar profiles are consistent and are a good fit to the thickness which has been determined by other geophysical methods.  相似文献

The knowledge of the velocity model in microseismic jobs is critical to achieving statistically reliable microseismic event locations. The design of microseismic networks and the limited sources for calibration do not allow for a full tomographic inversion. We propose optimizing a priori velocity models using a few active shots and a non‐linear inversion, suitable to poorly constrained systems. The considered models can be described by several layers with different P‐ and S‐wave velocities. The velocities may be constant or have 3D gradients; the layer interfaces may be simple dipping planes or more complex 3D surfaces. In this process the P‐ and S‐ wave arrival times and polarizations measured on the seismograms constitute the observed data set. They are used to estimate two misfit functions: i) one based on the measurement residuals and ii) one based on the inaccuracy of the source relocation. These two functions are minimized thanks to a simulated annealing scheme, which decreases the risk of converging to a local solution within the velocity model. The case study used to illustrate this methodology highlights the ability of this technique to constrain a velocity model with dipping layers. This was performed by jointly using sixteen perforation shots recorded during a multi‐stage fracturing operation from a single string of 3C‐receivers. This decreased the location inaccuracies and the residuals by a factor of six. In addition, the retrieved layer dip was consistent with the pseudo‐horizontal trajectories of the wells and the background information provided by the customer. Finally, the theoretical position of each calibration shot was contained in the uncertainty domain of the relocation of each shot. In contrast, single‐stage inversions provided different velocity models that were neither consistent between each other nor with the well trajectories. This example showed that it is essential to perform a multi‐stage inversion to derive a better updated velocity model.  相似文献
