This is the second of two consecutive papers (Part II) in this journal on the monitoring of the integrity of integrated GPS/INS systems. Part I established that the worst class of error for an integrated system in terms of failure detection performance is that of slowly growing errors (SGEs). It was also concluded that among the integration architectures, the tightly coupled architecture provides the best mechanism to tackle SGEs due to its simpler structure and accessibility to the relevant measurements. In a subsequent comparison of the existing integrity algorithms, the multiple solution separation (MSS) and autonomous integrity monitoring by extrapolation (AIME) methods were selected for further analysis because of their representative characteristics of the current integrity algorithms. This paper carries out a detailed investigation of the capability of the MSS and AIME algorithms to deal with the SGEs, using a realistic simulation platform and limited real data analysis. Results show that although it is possible for the existing algorithms to detect SGEs, the time it takes to detect them varies inversely to the rate of growth of the SGE. A new algorithm is developed to deal with this based on the concept of rate detection. Simulation results show that the new algorithm can detect SGEs earlier than the current algorithms. Design of minimax robust filtering for an integrated GPS/INS system   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The problem of navigation systems with uncertain noise is considered. A minimax robust filtering which can minimize the worst performance under noise uncertainties using the game theory is proposed. This new filter is applied to an integrated GPS/INS navigation system. A high dynamics aircraft trajectory is designed to test the new filter. The results show that minimax robust filtering performs better than standard Kalman filtering when noise parameters of an inertial measurement unit change their statistical properties. In the Global Positioning System, there is no provision for real-time integrity information within the Standard Positioning Service, by design. However, in safety critical sectors like aviation, stringent integrity performance requirements must be met. This can be achieved using the special augmentation systems or RAIM (Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring) or both. RAIM, the most cost-effective method relies on data consistency, and therefore requires redundant measurements for its operation. An external aid to provide this redundancy can be in the form of an Inertial Navigation system. This should enable continued performance even when no redundant satellite measurements are available. An algorithm presented in previous papers by the authors detects the rate of slowly growing errors. The algorithm was shown to be effective for early detection of slowly growing errors that belong to the class of most difficult to detect errors. Firstly, rate detector is tested for varying faults. Secondly, real data are used to validate the rate detector algorithm. The data are extensively analyzed to ascertain whether it is suitable for integrity and fault diagnostics. A modification to the original rate detector algorithm is suggested by addition of a bias state to the dynamic model. The performance is then compared with the existing techniques and substantial improvement is shown.  相似文献

GPS/MEMS INS integrated system for navigation in urban areas   总被引:1,自引:2,他引:1  
This paper evaluates the performance of a tightly coupled GPS/INS integrated system based on low cost MEMS IMUs in dense urban areas, and investigates two different methods to improve its performance. The first method used is to derive observations from two different constraint equations reflecting the behavior of a typical land vehicle. The first constraint equation is derived assuming that the vehicle does not slip and always remains in contact with the ground. If these assumptions are true the velocity of the vehicle in the plane perpendicular to the forward direction should be zero. The second constraint equation is derived from the fact that the height does not change much in a short time interval in a land vehicular environment. Thus, when a GPS outage occurs (partial/complete), the integrated system combines the INS and constraints-derived virtual measurements to keep the position and velocity errors bounded. This method is suitable for use in real-time applications. The second method is specifically suitable for a post-mission application and involves the use of Rauch-Tung-Striebel (RTS) smoother. The designed system performance is evaluated using two data sets collected in dense urban areas. The obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of different algorithms considered, in controlling the INS error growth, and indicates the potential of MEMS IMUs for use in land vehicle navigation applications.  相似文献

本文简要介绍了差分GPS/INS组合系统在单历元模式和多历元模式下适用的模糊度基本解算方法,分析了各自的优缺点,并提出了一种综合的GPS/INS组合系统模糊度处理策略。实验表明,在综合两种模式的动态模糊度解算方法的基础上引入基于周跳探测修复的模糊度传递以及INS辅助,对于不良观测条件下的模糊度固定具有十分显著的改善。  相似文献

从滤波的关键矩阵——增益阵入手进行分析,发现机动条件下经典组合模型受状态预报模型不准的影响,姿态参数滤波估值及其更新方差阵偏离准确值,指出常用的姿态参数精度衡量指标不合理。提出了利用组合系统输出的载体系中某些方向速度为0的条件对姿态参数估值的准确性进行检验的思想。新的检验方法不需要增加任何额外设备,经济、方便、简单。  相似文献

可靠性和对故障的可区分性是评价系统完好性的两个重要因素。本文将多GNSS系统与不同精度的INS系统进行组合,由此分析不同因素对组合系统内部的可靠性和故障探测与隔离能力的影响。仿真结果表明,集成多GNSS系统可以改善卫星星座的几何分布结构,从而提高系统的内部可靠性和对故障的区分能力;当GNSS系统与INS系统相结合时,也能大幅度提高系统的可靠性和区分性;相较于低精度的INS系统,采用高精度的INS系统能够进一步的提高系统的可靠性,并增强对故障的区分能力。  相似文献

针对卫星导航系统和惯性导航系统(INS)的不同特性,提出了一种GPS/GLONASS/INS数据融合算法。采用差分自适应检测算法、改进码平均相位算法以及位置联合解算方法实现了GPS/GLONASS数据融合,借助于改进的粒子滤波器、INS误差模型建立系统状态方程和观测方程,完成GPS/GLONASS系统速度值和INS系统速度值数据融合,提高组合导航系统精度和可靠性。使用真实数据对数据融合算法性能进行仿真分析,结果表明所设计算法是有效的,能够处理非线性非高斯条件下的滤波估计,提高滤波精度和系统可靠性。  相似文献

首先对现存的GPS/INS组合系统中不同的时间解决方案进行了分析。然后从模块化角度出发,利用NI公司的数据采集板卡和软件Labview,通过软硬件结合的方法搭建了一种方便灵活、低成本的时间同步模块。通过实验证实,应用于市面上常见的RS-232数据接口的低精度的微机械INS传感器也可以达到5 ms的同步精度。  相似文献

A new approach for airborne vector gravimetry using GPS/INS   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:2  
A new method for airborne vector gravimetry using GPS/INS has been developed and the results are presented. The new algorithm uses kinematic accelerations as updates instead of positions or velocities, and all calculations are performed in the inertial frame. Therefore, it is conceptually simpler, easier, more straightforward and computationally less expensive compared to the traditional approach in which the complex navigation equations should be integrated. Moreover, it is a unified approach for determining all three vector components, and no stochastic gravity modeling is required. This approach is based on analyzing the residuals from the Kalman filter of sensor errors, and further processing with wavenumber coefficient filterings is applied in case closely parallel tracks of data are available. An application to actual test-flight data is performed to test the validity of the new algorithm. The results yield an accuracy in the down component of about 3–4 mGal. Also, comparable results are obtained for the horizontal components with accuracies of about 6 mGal. Rigorous physical and mathematical analysis has been intensively developed to obtain the gravity disturbance vector from the inertial navigation system and the global positioning system. However, the combination of the observation noise and the systematic INS errors make it very challenging to accurately and efficiently describe the dynamics of the system with rigorous equations. Thus, the accuracy of the gravity disturbance estimates, especially in the horizontal components, is limited by the insufficient error models. To overcome the difficulty of directly modeling the systematic errors with exact mathematical equations, a Monte Carlo based artificial neural network is successfully applied in the moving base gravimetric system. The computation results show significant improvement in the precision of all components of the gravity disturbance estimates.  相似文献

组合导航利用惯性导航(INS)和全球定位系统(GPS)较强的非相似性和互补性,将两者组合,可以取长补短,充分发挥各自的优点,提高导航系统性能。利用卡尔曼滤波能够有效提高其精度,但卡尔曼滤波的应用要求函数模型和随机模型已知,符合实际,这在实际应用中是很难保证的,一般都是通过经验信息确定。H滤波则具有很强的鲁棒性,抗干扰性强。通过仿真数据处理,结果表明:H滤波比卡尔曼滤波在噪声特性未知时更适用,精度更高。  相似文献
