We present our synchronous spectroscopy and photometry of DI Cep, a classical T Tauri star. The equivalent widths and radial velocities of the individual components and Hα, Hβ, D1 and D2 Na I, and HeI λ5876 Å emission line profiles exhibit variability. We have found a clear positive correlation between the brightness and equivalent width for the Hα and Hβ emission lines. The photometric and spectroscopic data are satisfactorily described in phases of a 9-day period. The expected magnetic field of the star has been estimated using existing magnetospheric models to be 655–1000 G. The star is suspected to be a binary.  相似文献

Based on 24 high-resolution echelle spectrograms of the Wolf-Rayet star HD 192163 taken in 2005–2007 at the Cassegrain focus of the 2-m Zeiss-2000 telescope at the Shemakha Astrophysical Observatory (National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan), we have investigated the profiles of five emission lines: He II 4859, He II 5411, CIV 5808, He I 5875, (He II + Hα) 6560. We have analyzed the echelle spectrograms using the DECH20 code. Various emission line parameters have been determined: the equivalent widths, radial velocities, central intensities, and FWHMs. The violet wing of the He II + Hα emission band has been found to be variable (from 6496 Å to 6532 Å). Significant differences in the equivalent widths and radial velocities of the He II + Hα emission band in 2005 and 2007 were revealed. This can be a manifestation of long-term variations in the star HD 192163. We have confirmed that HD 192163 belongs to the WN6 spectral subtype.  相似文献

We have detected new components in stationary emission lines of SS 433; these are the superbroad components that are low-contrast substrates with a width of 2000–2500 km s?1 in He I λ4922 and Hβ and 4000–5000 kms?1 in He II λ4686. Based on 44 spectra taken during four years of observations from 2003 to 2007, we have found that these components in the He II and He I lines are eclipsed by the donor star; their behavior with precessional and orbital phases is regular and similar to the behavior of the optical brightness of SS 433. The same component in Hβ shows neither eclipses nor precessional variability. We conclude that the superbroad components in the helium and hydrogen lines are different in origin. Electron scattering is shown to reproduce well the superbroad component of Hβ at a gas temperature of 20–35 kK and an optical depth for Thomson scattering τ ≈ 0.25?0.35. The superbroad components of the helium lines are probably formed in the wind from the supercritical accretion disk. We have computed a wind model based on the concept of Shakura-Sunyaev supercritical disk accretion. The main patterns of the He II line profiles are well reproduced in this model: not only the appearance of the superbroad component but also the evolution of the central two-component part of the profile of this line during its eclipse by the donor star can be explained.  相似文献

The T Tauri variable V1331 Cyg is characterized by an intensive emission spectrum, by signatures of a high rate of mass loss, and also by presence of a circular reflection nebula. According to these characteristics, the star can be considered as a possible pre-FUor star. Up to the present the photospheric spectrum of the star has not been recorded. In this work we analyze the high-resolution spectra of V1331 Cyg that were obtained by G.H. Herbig with the HIRES spectrograph at the Keck-1 telescope in 2004 and 2007. For the first time the numerous photospheric lines of the star have been detected and the spectral class has been estimated, viz., G7-K0 IV. It is revealed that the projection of the rotation velocity is lower than the width of instrumental profile (vsini < 6 km/s); this means that the angle between the stellar axis of rotation and the line of sight is small. The radial velocity of the star derived from the photospheric lines is RV = ?15.0 ± 0.3 km/s. The difference in radial velocities for 2004 and 2007 is lower than the measurement error. The photospheric spectrum is veiled considerably, but the amount of veiling is not the same in different lines. This depends on the line strength in the template spectrum of the G7 IV star: in the weakest lines (EW = 5–10 mÅ in the template spectrum) VF ≈ 1 and it increases up to 4–5 in stronger lines. The Hα and Hβ lines demonstrate classical P Cyg profiles, which testifies to an intensive wind with a maximal velocity of about 400 km/s. In addition, the emission lines of Fe II, Mg I and K I and of several other elements are accompanied by a narrow blue-shifted absorption at ?150...?250 km/s. The emission spectrum of V1331 Cyg is rich in the narrow (FWHM = 30–50 km/s) lines of neutral and ionized metals showing the excitation temperature T exc = 3800 ± 300 K. The stellar mass M* ≈ 2.8M and radius R* ≈ 5R are estimated.  相似文献

The results of investigations of the Hα and Hβ lines in the spectrum of the star HD 206267 are presented. Observations were carried out in 2011–2014 at the Cassegrain focus of the 2-m telescope of the Tusi Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan using an echelle spectrometer. The following features have been revealed for the first time: the moving discrete absorption components in the core of the Hα line from the red side to the violet, the stable emission in the violet wing of the Hα line, the antiphase variation of the radial velocities and equivalent widths of the Hα line, and the independence of the changes of the equivalent widths of the Hβ line from the phase of the orbital period. No spectral features according to which this star could be considered as a source of X-ray radiation have been found.  相似文献

To explain the variety of observed optical emission stratification in the shells around Wolf-Rayet stars, we have calculated the nonstationary cooling of a homogeneous gas layer heated to a temperature (0.4–2) × 105 K. We have assumed that the nebula is ionized by its central star and consists of a rarefied gas and a set of clouds with different densities through which adiabatic shock waves produced by the stellar wind propagate. Based on this model, we have determined the sequence in which the emission in Hα and in nebular oxygen lines appears. The Hα emission attributable to the electron-collision excitation of hydrogen atoms is produced earliest on the periphery of nebulae, the [O III] line emission follows next, and, finally, the Hα recombination emission is produced. The results obtained are in good agreement with the observational data.  相似文献

We present photoelectric and spectral observations of a hot candidate proto-planetary nebula—early B-type supergiant with emission lines in spectrum—IRAS 19336-0400. The light and color curves display fast irregular brightness variations with maximum amplitudes \(\Delta V = 0_ \cdot ^m 30\), \(\Delta B = 0_ \cdot ^m 35\), \(\Delta U = 0_ \cdot ^m 40\) and color-brightness correlations. By the variability characteristics IRAS 19336-0400 appears similar to other hot proto-planetary nebulae. Based on low-resolution spectra in the range λ4000–7500 Å we have derived absolute intensities of the emission lines Hα, Hβ, Hγ, [S II], [N II], physical conditions in gaseous nebula: n e = 104 cm?3, T e = 7000 ± 1000 K. The emission line Hα, Hβ equivalent widths are found to be considerably variable and related to light changes. By UBV-photometry and spectroscopy the color excess has been estimated: E B-V = 0.50–0.54. Joint photometric and spectral data analysis allows us to assume that the star variability is caused by stellar wind variations.  相似文献

We determine abundances from the absorption spectrum of the magnetic Herbig Ae star HD 190073 (V1295 Aql). The observations are primarily from HARPS spectra obtained at a single epoch. We accept arguments that the presence of numerous emission lines does not vitiate a classical abundance analysis, though it likely reduces the achievable accuracy. Most abundances are closely solar, but several elements show departures of a factor of two to three, as an earlier study has also shown. We present quantitative measurements of more than 60 emission lines, peak intensities, equivalent widths, and FWHM's. The latter range from over 200 km s–1(Hα, He D3) down to 10–20 km s–1(forbidden lines). Metallic emission lines have intermediate widths. We eschew modeling, and content ourselves with a presentation of the observations a successful model must explain. Low‐excitation features such as the Na I D‐lines and [O I] appear with He I D3, suggesting proximate regions with widely differing Te and Ne as found in the solar chromosphere. The [O I] and [Ca II] lines show sharp, violet‐shifted features. Additionally, [Fe II] lines appear tobe weakly present in emission (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

We study the variability of the Hγ, Hβ, and Hα line profiles in the spectrum of the supergiant κ Cas. The variability pattern proved to be the same for all the lines considered: their profiles are superimposed by blueshifted, central, and redshifted emission. For Hγ the positions of the emissions coincide with the positions of the corresponding emissions for He I λλ 5876, 6678 Å lines, and are equal to about ?135 ± 30.0 km s?1, ?20 ± 20 kms?1, and 135 ± 30.0 kms?1, respectively, whereas the three emissions in the Hβ profiles are fixed at about ?170.0 ± 70.0 kms?1, 20 ± 30 kms?1, and 170.0 ± 70.0 km s?1, respectively. The positions of the blueshifted and central emissions for Hα are the same as for Hβ, with additional blueshifted emission at ?135.0 ± 30.0 kms?1, whereas no traces of emission can be seen in the red wing of the line. These emissions show up more conspicuously in wind lines, however, their traces can be seen in all photospheric lines. When passing from wind lines to photospheric lines the intensity of superimposed emission components decreases and the same is true for the absolute values of their positions in line wings expressed in terms of radial velocities. The V/R variations of the lines studied found in the spectrum of κ Cas and the variability of the Hα emission indicate that the star is a supergiant showing Be phenomenon.  相似文献

High-resolution optical spectroscopy of the V2324 Cyg variable star associated with the IR source IRAS 20572+4919 is performed for the first time. More than 200 absorption features (mostly Fe II, Ti II, Cr II, Y II, Ba II, and Y II) are identified in the wavelength interval from 4549 to 7880 Å. The spectral type and rotation velocity of the star are found to be F0 III and V sin i = 69 km/s, respectively. Neutral-hydrogen and NaI D lines have complex P Cyg-type profiles. Neither systematic trend of radial velocity Vr with line depth Ro nor temporal variability of Vr have been found. We found that the value for the average heliocentric radial velocity is Vr = ?16.8 ± 0.6 km/s. The radial velocities inferred from the cores of the absorption components of the Hβ and NaI wind lines vary from ?140 to ?225 km/s (and the expansion velocities of the corresponding layers, from about 120 to 210 km/s). The maximum expansion velocity is found for the blue component of the split Hα absorption: 450 km/s for December 12, 1995. The method of model atmospheres is used to determine the following parameters of the star: effective temperature T eff = 7500 K, surface gravity log g = 2.0, microturbulence velocity ξ t = 6.0 km/s, and metallicity, which is equal to the solar value. The main peculiarity of the chemical composition of the star is the overabundance of lithium and sodium. The results cast some doubt on the classification of V2324 Cyg as a post-AGB star.  相似文献

Spectroscopic observations of four planetary nebulae (PNe) with emission-line central stars of different spectral types are presented: Cn 1-5, Pe 1-1, NGC 5873, and M1-19. The interstellar extinction, physical conditions (n e , T e ), and abundances of several elements (He, N, O, Ne, S, Ar, Cl) have been determined for all nebulae. The nebula Cn 1–5 with fairly high abundances of helium and nitrogen is shown to belong to type I PNe. Possible variability of the intensities of low-excitation emission lines in NGC 5873 has been found; it can be related to variations of the stellar wind from the central star. The measured α-element abundance ratios (S/O, Ne/O, Ar/O, Cl/O) are in good agreement with those typical of HII regions.  相似文献

We present low and high resolution ultraviolet spectra of the Capella spectroscopic binary system from the observations taken by the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) during the period between 1978–1990 and 1978–1995. Thirteen profile of Capella showing variations of line fluxes at different orbital phases are presented. This paper focuses on the C IV emission line at 1550 Å produced in the transition region of the secondary star and Mg II emission lines at 2800 Å produced in the stellar chromosphere of the secondary star by calculating spectral line fluxes. Our results show that there are significant variations of line fluxes with time. These spectral variations are similar to that found in the EUV by Dupree and Brickhouse (in Int. Astron. Union Symp. 176P:184D, 1995) in the UV for H 1 Ly?α by Ayres et al. (in Astrophys. J. 402:710A, 1993), and in the near IR by Katsova (in Astrophys. Space Sci. 252:427K, 1997). We attribute these variations in line fluxes to the variations of both density and temperature in the line emitting regions as a result of the intermediate-scale magnetic fields responsible for stellar activity leading to these spectral variations.  相似文献

We present the results of our spectroscopic studies of the nebula NGC 6857 located in a region of current star formation. Data on the surface brightness distribution in the central region of the nebula (~60″ × 60″) in the Hα, Hβ, [OIII], 5007 Å, [N II], 6548, 6583 Å, [S II], 6717, 6731 Å, and He I, 6678 Å lines have been obtained with an angular resolution of ~4.″5 × 4.″5. The zones of maximum surface brightness and the region of maximum gas ionization ratio are located 12″ south of the central star, which may suggest the existence of a second gas ionization source.  相似文献

We present long-term spectral observations (R = 20000) of IN Com in the region of the Hα, Hβ, and He I 5876 lines. One distinguishing characteristic of the stellar spectrum is the presence in the Hα line of an extended two-component emission with limits up to ±400 km/s. Emission parameters show the rotation modulation with the stellar rotation period and a significant variability on the long-term scale. Similar emissions are also observed in the Hβ and He I 5876 lines. Our results allow us to conclude that observational emission profiles are formed in an optically thin hot gas. This is a result of the presence of a circumstellar gas disk around IN Com. Its size does not exceed several stellar radii. The material for the disk is supported by the stellar wind from IN Com. The detected variability of Hα-emission parameters shows a clear connection with the photopolarimetric activity of the star. This fact allows us to associate the long-term spectral variability with cycles of stellar activity of IN Com.  相似文献

We report an efficient method for analyzing the radial-velocity and line-profile variability. We show that a detailed analysis of the variations of line profiles and velocity field in the stellar atmosphere requires the radial velocities to be measured separately for the blue and red halves of the absorption lines at different levels of their residual intensity. We applied this method to 120 CCD spectra taken in 1998–99 with the coude echelle spectrograph attached to the 2-m telescope of Shemakha Astronomical Observatory of National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and analyzed the variations of the radial velocities and profiles of ion and Hβ lines in the spectrum of α Cyg. In the case of ion lines both halves of the absorption profile exhibit synchronous radial-velocity variations at all levels of line intensity. In the case of the Hβ line, which forms in the layers where stellar wind originates, the pattern of radial-velocity variations differs for the blue and red halves of the absorption profile. The variability pattern is the same at all levels in the red half of the profile, the blue half of the profile exhibits different variability patterns at different levels of residual line intensity. Identification and analysis of such variations allows us to study the nature of stellar-wind variability in the region of wind formation. The spectrum of α Cyg showed no line-profile or radial-velocity variations for six days in both halves of the absorption contour at all levels of line intensity. The star was in the quiescent phase.  相似文献

Profile variations in the Hα and Hβ lines in the spectra of the star 55 Cyg are investigated from observations acquired in 2010 at the Cassegrain focus of the 2-m telescope at the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory after named N.Tusi (Azerbaijan). The spectral resolution is approximately 15000. The emission and absorption components of the Ha profile are found to disappear on some observational days, and one of the spectrograms exhibits an inverse P-Cyg profile of Hα. It is suggested that the observational evidence for the nonstationary atmosphere of 55 Cyg can be associated in part with nonspherical stellar wind.  相似文献

The optical spectrum of the post-AGB star HD56126 identified with the infrared source IRAS07134+1005 is studied in detail using high spectral resolution observations (R = 25000 and 60000) performed with the echelle spectrographs of the 6-m telescope. A total of about one and a half thousand absorptions of neutral atoms and ions, absorption bands of C2, CN, and CH molecules, and interstellar bands (DIBs) are identified in the 4012 to 8790 Å Å wavelength interval, and the depths and radial velocities of these spectral features are measured. Differences are revealed between the variations of the radial velocities measured from spectral features of different excitation. In addition to the well-known variability of the Hα profile, we found variations in the profiles of a number of FeII, YII, and BaII lines. We also produce an atlas of the spectrum of HD56126 and its comparison star α Per. The full version of the Atlas is available in electronic form from: http://www.sao.ru/hq/ssl/Atlas/Atlas.html.  相似文献

The variability of positional and photometric parameters of the lines in the spectrum of HD 93521 is analyzed using CCD spectra taken with the PFES echelle spectrograph of the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SAO RAS). To study the velocity field of the star’s atmosphere, the radial velocity variations are measured separately for the blue and red halves of the absorption profile at different levels of residual line intensity. The amplitude and phase of temporal variations of radial velocity differ for the two halves of the absorption profile. In case of strong HeI, Hβ, andHα lines the amplitude depends on intensity r. The time scales (P) of radial velocity variations and the mean halfwidths \(\overline {FW H M} \) differ for different lines and correlate fairly well with their central depths. The increase of P and decrease of \(\overline {FW H M} \) from weak to strong lines are due to the differential nature of the rotation of the star. Our analysis proofs that HD 93521 is a run-away star and this fact explains its location at a distance of about 2.0 kpc above the Galactic plane.  相似文献

We present the results of our studies of the Hα line in the spectrum of a UX Ori star (WW Vul) based on our spectroscopic observations performed with the 2-m telescope at the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, in 2006–2010. We have detected variability in all the measured parameters of the Hα profile both during each observing season and from season to season. A comparative analysis of our data and published studies has led to the conclusion that the regime of outflow with a variable power in the star WW Vul, on the whole, is preserved for almost 40 years (1972–2010) and the accretion of gas from the circumstellar disk onto the stellar surface is occasionally observed. Changes in the regime of variability in the behavior of the Hα emission line have been revealed in the 2006–2010 observing seasons. In four cases (for July 8, 2006, August 17, 2008, June 13, 2010, and August 2, 2010), we have detected a second emission component in the blue wing of the Hα emission line.  相似文献

Repeated spectroscopic observations made with the 6-m telescope of SAO RAS yielded new data on the radial-velocity variability of the anomalous yellow supergiant QY Sge. The strongest and most peculiar feature in its spectrum is the complex profile of NaI D lines, which contains a narrow and a very wide emission components. The wide emission component can be seen to extend from ?170 to +120 km/s, and at its central part it is cut by an absorption feature, which, in turn, is split into two subcomponents by a narrow (16 km/s at r=2.5) emission peak. An analysis of all the Vr values leads us to adopt for the star a systemic velocity of Vr=?21.1 km/s, which corresponds to the position of the narrow emission component of NaI. The locations of emission-line features of NaI D lines are invariable, which point to their formation in regions that are external to the supergiant’s photosphere. Differential line shifts of about 10 km/s are revealed. Emission in the Hα line is weaker than in NaI D lines, it fills the photospheric absorption almost completely. The absorption lines in the spectrum of QY Sge have a substantial width of FWHM ≈ 45 km/s. The method of model atmospheres is used to determine the following parameters: the effective temperature T eff =6250±150 K, surface gravity l g g=2.0±0.2, and microturbulence velocity ξ t =4.5±0.5 km/s. The chemical composition of the atmosphere differs only slightly from the solar composition: the metallicity of the star is found to be somewhat higher than the solar metallicity with an average overabundance of iron-peak elements of [Met/H]=+0.20. The star is found to be slightly overabundant in carbon and nitrogen, [C/Fe]=+0.25, [N/Fe]=+0.27. The α-process elements Mg, Si, and Ca are slightly overabundant, on the average by [α/H]=+0.12, and sulfur overabundance is higher, [S/α]=+0.29. The strong overabundance of sodium, [Na/Fe]=+0.75, is likely to be due to the dredge-up of the matter processed in the NeNa cycle. Heavy elements of the s-process are underabundant relative to the Sun. On the whole, the observed properties of QY Sge do not give grounds for including this star into the group of RCrB or RVTau-type objects.  相似文献
