The aim of this paper is to report on the development of regional climate change scenarios for Kazakhstan as the result of increasing of CO2 concentration in the global atmosphere. These scenarios are used in the assessment of climate change impacts on the agricultural, forest and water resources of Kazakhstan. Climate change scenarios for Kazakhstan to assess both long-term (2× CO2 in 2075) and short-term (2000, 2010 and 2030) impacts were prepared. The climate conditions under increasing CO2 concentration were estimated from three General Circulation Models (GCM) outputs: the model of the Canadian Climate Center Model (CCCM), the model of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) and the 1% transient version of the GFDL model (GFDL-T). The near-term climate scenarios were obtained using the probabilistic forecast model (PFM) to the year 2010 and the results of GFDL-T for years 2000 and 2030. A baseline scenario representing the current climate conditions based on observations from 1951 to 1980 was developed. The assessment of climate change in Kazakhstan based on the analysis of 100-years observations is given too. As a result of comparisons of the current climate (based on observed climate) the 1× CO2 output from GCMs showed that the GFDL model best matches the observed climate. The GFDL model suggests that the minimum increase in temperature is expected in winter, when most of the territory is expected to have temperatures 2.3–4.5 °C higher. The maximum (4.3 to 8.2 °C) is expected to be in spring. CCCM scenario estimates an extreme worming above 11 °C in spring months. GFDL-T outputs provide an intermediate scenario.  相似文献

文中介绍了随机天气模型 WGEN的基本结构及其模拟原理 ,并针对其中随机过程的统计结构特征和 GCMs输出要素的不同时空尺度特点 ,利用动态数据的参数化分析方法等统计学技术 ,确定了该模型参数的估计方法。同时基于蒙特卡罗数值计算原理 ,给出了 WGEN的随机试验方法 ,并通过模拟基准气候 ,从时间分布和空间场两方面对模型在中国东北地区的模拟效果及其能力进行了评估。结果表明 ,模型对于最高气温、最低气温、降水和辐射等要素均具有较好的模拟效果 ,模拟序列与观测序列的取值分布有较一致的概率特性。由此可以结合 GCMs大尺度网格上输出的月和年要素值 ,通过调控随机过程的参数 ,生成具有不同气候变率的 2× CO2 逐日气候变化情景 ,实现气候预测模式与气候影响模式的嵌套 ,进一步研究气候变率变化的可能影响。  相似文献

This paper describes the regional climate change scenarios that are recommended for use in the U.S. Country Studies Program (CSP) and evaluates how well four general circulation models (GCMs) simulate current climate over Europe. Under the umbrella of the CSP, 50 countries with varying skills and experience in developing climate change scenarios are assessing vulnerability and adaptation. We considered the use of general circulation models, analogue warm periods, and incremental scenarios as the basis for creating climate change scenarios. We recommended that participants in the CSP use a combination of GCM based scenarios and incremental scenarios. The GCMs, in spite of their many deficiencies, are the best source of information about regional climate change. Incremental scenarios help identify sensitivities to changes in a particular meteorological variable and ensure that a wide range of regional climate change scenarios are considered. We recommend using the period 1951–1980 as baseline climate because it was a relatively stable climate period globally. Average monthly changes from the GCMs and the incremental changes in climate variables are combined with the historical record to produce scenarios. The scenarios do not consider changes in interannual, daily, or subgrid scale variability. Countries participating in the Country Studies Program were encouraged to compare the GCMs' estimates of current climate with actual long-term climate means. In this paper, we compare output of four GCMs (CCCM, GFDL, UKMO, and GISS) with observed climate over Europe by performing a spatial correlation analysis for temperature and precipitation, by statistically comparing spatial patterns averaged climate estimates from the GCMs with observed climate, and by examining how well the models estimate seasonal patterns of temperature and precipitation. In Europe, the GISS and CCCM models best simulate current temperature, whereas the GISS and UK89 models, and the CCCM model, best simulate precipitation in defined northern and southern regions, respectively.  相似文献

全球气候变化对全球自然系统和社会经济产生了显著的影响,近百年来的气候变暖已经成为既定的科学事实。目前,世界各国对于发展低碳经济、建设低碳城市及承担碳减排任务以应对气候变化的共识不断得到加强,在此背景下,低碳社会、低碳生活等理念为人们所广泛关注和推崇。本文综述了气候变化的科学事实、碳排放与城市化之间的内在联系;阐述了低碳经济、低碳城市、"脱钩"理论、环境库兹涅茨理论、生态足迹和碳足迹理论的理论内涵;评述了目前低碳城市发展水平的测度指标体系、计算方法和评价标准,重点分析了人均碳排放、碳生产率、碳排放强度和碳能源排放系数等城市低碳发展水平指标,以及DPSIR模型、生态足迹模型、主成分分析和层次分析综合模型等低碳发展水平评价模型。最后,提出了目前该研究领域存在的科学问题,展望了未来的研究重点和发展方向。  相似文献

对1980~1999年冬季(11月至次年2月)威海市降雪量和08时探空及地面资料统计分析,结果表明威海市20年中冬季共出现21个暴雪日,平均每年有1个暴雪日,造成威海市冬季暴雪的天气系统为冷涡深槽和南支槽两大类,其中主要影响系统为冷涡深槽类,发生20次。  相似文献

使用新版RegCM2区域气候模式,单向嵌套澳大利亚CSIROR21L9全球海-气耦合模式,在C02加倍情况下引人人为硫酸盐气溶胶直接气候效应,进行了其对中国气候变化影响的试验。结果表明,硫酸盐气溶胶的直接气候效应,对地面气温为降温作用,其中在冬半年和在南方更明显;对降水的影响为全国各月平均降水将以减少为主,年平均降水变化的基本特点为在中国东部以减少为主,西部以增加为主。但无论温度还是降水变化的数值都很小。  相似文献

The paper explores the distinction between climate and climate change. Adaptation to current climate variability has been proposed as an additional way to approach adaptation to long-term climate change. In effect improved adaptation to current climate is a step in preparation for longer term climate change. International programs of research and assessment are separately organized to deal with natural disasters and climate change. There is no scientific concensus so far, that extreme events have changed in frequency on a world-wide basis, although some regional changes have occured. It is extremely unlikely that significant shifts in the means of weather distrbutions will take place without shifts in the tails. In some situations it may make more sense to focus on adaptation to extreme events and the tails of distributions. In other circumstances adaptation to the norms is the logical focus. The relationship between normal climate and climate change is examined in terms of single and complex variables and phenomena. It is proposed that the research communities studying adaptation to extreme events and adaptation to climate change work more closely together, perhaps in a newly organized joint research program.  相似文献

Long series of daily weather data are frequently needed to evaluate diachronic climatic impacton water resources,the effects of watershed changes on hydrology and to use in a variety ofweather and general circulation models.A computer generation model called WGEN that wasdeveloped in the United States of America,was modified in this study and applied to Nigerianweather data spanning the period between 1969 to 1988 and covering 17 sites located in thedifferent climatic zones in Nigeria.The model generated the monthly mean maximum and minimumtemperatures,solar radiation,total rainfall,and number of wet and dry days with high accuracy,95% of the times.The Mann-Whitney U-test revealed that the number of months per year forwhich observed and generated weather variables were significant,was less than 4 in majority of thesites.  相似文献

Our central goal is to determine the importance of including both mean and variability changes in climate change scenarios in an agricultural context. By adapting and applying a stochastic weather generator, we first tested the sensitivity of the CERES-Wheat model to combinations of mean and variability changes of temperature and precipitation for two locations in Kansas. With a 2°C increase in temperature with daily (and interannual) variance doubled, yields were further reduced compared to the mean only change. In contrast, the negative effects of the mean temperature increase were greatly ameliorated by variance decreased by one-half. Changes for precipitation are more complex, since change in variability naturally attends change in mean, and constraining the stochastic generator to mean change only is highly artificial. The crop model is sensitive to precipitation variance increases with increased mean and variance decreases with decreased mean. With increased mean precipitation and a further increase in variability Topeka (where wheat cropping is not very moisture limited) experiences decrease in yield after an initial increase from the 'mean change only case. At Goodland Kansas, a moisture-limited site where summer fallowing is practiced, yields are decreased with decreased precipitation, but are further decreased when variability is further reduced. The range of mean and variability changes to which the crop model is sensitive are within the range of changes found in regional climate modeling (RegCM) experiments for a CO2 doubling (compared to a control run experiment). We then formed two types of climate change scenarios based on the changes in climate found in the control and doubled CO2 experiments over the conterminous U. S. of RegCM: (1) one using only mean monthly changes in temperature, precipitation, and solar radiation; and (2) another that included these mean changes plus changes in daily (and interannual) variability. The scenarios were then applied to the CERES-Wheat model at four locations (Goodland, Topeka, Des Moines, Spokane) in the United States. Contrasting model responses to the two scenarios were found at three of the four sites. At Goodland, and Des Moines mean climate change increased mean yields and decreased yield variability, but the mean plus variance climate change reduced yields to levels closer to their base (unchanged) condition. At Spokane mean climate change increased yields, which were somewhat further increased with climate variability change. Three key aspects that contribute to crop response are identified: the marginality of the current climate for crop growth, the relative size of the mean and variance changes, and timing of these changes. Indices for quantifying uncertainty in the impact assessment were developed based on the nature of the climate scenario formed, and the magnitude of difference between model and observed values of relevant climate variables.  相似文献

The paper deals with problems of temporal and spatial variability of snow cover duration, of correlation between snow cover and winter mean air temperature patterns and of the impact of climate change on the snow cover pattern in Estonia. Snow cover fields are presented in form of IDRISI raster images. Snow cover duration measured at ca 100 stations and observation points have been interpolated into raster cells. On the base of time series of raster images, a map of mean territorial distribution of snow cover duration is calculated. Estonia is characterized by a great spatial variability of snow cover mostly caused by the influence of the Baltic Sea. General regularities of snow cover pattern are determined. A 104-year time series of spatial mean values of snow cover duration is composed and analyzed. A decreasing trend and periodical fluctuations have detected. Standardized principal component analysis is used for the time series of IDRISI raster images. It enables to study the influence of different factors on the formation of snow cover fields and territorial extent of coherent fluctuations. Correlation between snow cover duration and winter mean air temperature fields is analyzed. A spatial regression model is created for estimation of the influence of climate change on snow cover pattern in Estonia. Using incremental climate change scenarios (2 °C, 4 °C and 6 °C of warming in winter) mean decrease of snow cover duration in different regions in Estonia is calculated. According to results of model calculation, the highest decrease of snow cover duration will be take place on islands and in the coastal region of West Estonia. A permanent snow cover may not form at all. In the areas with maximum snow cover duration in North-East and South-East Estonia, that decrease should be much lower.  相似文献

利用广东省深圳市30个自动气象站观测数据对深圳市近10年的气候变化趋势进行了分析,结果表明:(1)深圳市2011—2020年的平均气温增长率约1.47 ℃/(10 a),比上一个10年显著增加,气候变暖并未停滞;(2)受城市化的影响,深圳市气温日较差在较大范围内呈减小趋势,但在少数地区却反常地呈现了上升趋势;(3)深圳的地面风速总体呈下降趋势,其中发达地区风速下降更快;(4)2011—2020年深圳市的平均相对湿度呈上升趋势,最高每年增长1.33%;(5)统计深圳各区不同时次的极端降雨量数据可以发现,未发展地区的极端降雨量增速较大,年总降水量的增长率也较高,增长率最高为42.41 mm/a,而其他地区的6 h以内的滑动降水量极大值均呈下降趋势;(6)利用多个自动气象站长时间序列数据,可以对深圳局地气候变化特征进行更加精细化的分析,这对国家基本站而言是一种有益的补充,有助于更加深刻地发掘城市化与气候变化的关系。   相似文献

对宁夏20个测站1961—2004年的冬季负积温EOF分析表明,冬季的冷趋势具有明显的大尺度特征,在近40 a逐渐变暖。据累积距平显示,l986年出现了突变,之前,冬季气温偏低,具体表现为冷冬年全部分布在此时段,之后偏暖,90年代以后出现暖冬的频次明显增加。≤0℃持续日数具有明显的年代际变化,2001—2004年比60年代平均减少了13.5 d。在80%保证率下,全区≤0℃持续日数和负积温依地势自北向南增多,引黄灌区最少,中部干旱带次之,南部黄土丘陵区相对最多。  相似文献

本文在分析100多年来北半球平均气温长期变化基本特征的基础上,讨论了北半球气温变化对我国气候变化的影响。结果表明,我国大范围气温距平与北半球平均气温有显著的正相关,长江中下游和华北平原的温度距平值平均为北半球平均气温距平的1.4-1.6倍。还表明,我国降水距平分布与北半球气温变化也有一定的联系。在北半球平均气温偏高和偏低年份,欧亚地区500hPa环流特征的差异是显著的。这表明,我国大范围气候距平与北半球平均气温距平的统计相关是有一定的物理基础的。  相似文献

Based on data of typhoon over the West Pacific and the South China Sea for the last 40 years, theshort-term climate oscillation of typhoon activities was revealed. The result indicated that the climaticvariation of typhoon activities has a tendency of climatic jump in changes in early 1970's. It showed thatbefore the jump of change the number of typhoon was increased and the intensity of typhoon was intensified after which the tendency of variation went contrary. In addition, the increase of typhoon numberduring recent years suggested again the jump of climatic change in the late 1980's, but the intensity oftyphoon did not have the same change. The analysis indicated that the short-term climatic oscillation andthe jump of climatic change have certain physical background. Such climate change tendency of typhoonwas shown to be related to the climatic oscillation of general circulation and SST, especially to the WestPacific subtropical high.  相似文献
