Remote Sensing has emerged as a key technology in recent years to generate spatial information. Exploration of this technology to its maximum potential requires trained personnel and for wider understanding of the subject it needs to be introduced in our educational system. With the rapid technological advances being made by remote sensing information and decision support systems, it has become very important that training in remote sensing keeps pace with these advances. For wider acceptability of remote sensing well thought of plan needs to be made for human resources development through training and education in Remote Sensing. The World Wide Web (YAW) has a potential for improving university education in remote sensing, as the WWW technology may be applied in a way which reduces the amount of resources which are needed to achieve a certain educational objective. The paper presents a survey of this new technology. The main components of the WWW technology are outlined. Reference is made to information resources which are available through the WWW which relates to remote sensing. The technology can be applied not only by individual staff members, but, also, according to decision at the departmental or faculty level. The use of information technology for education is a research field in its own right. This research field is presented as a basis for suggestion of decision issues and decision criteria regarding the use of the WWW for education in remote sensing. Design and development of Indian Remote Sensing Satellite, IRS‐1A and the successful operation of the space and ground segments of IRS‐1A over the past three years form a major milestone in the Indian Remote Sensing Programme. Significant growth in Remote Sensing application/activities in almost all the sectors of natural resources survey and management, supply of various remote sensing data products to Indian users in turn around time of 8–10 days, development of remote sensing infrastructure at central/state user organisations for utilisation of remote sensing, indigenous development of various remote sensing interpretation equipments/ Image Processing Systems /Software, and continued user interaction and information dissemination are some of the major highlights of the Indian Remote Sensing Programme.  相似文献

The image analysis system ASEAN (Advanced System for Environmental ANalysis with Remote Sensing Data) was designed and programmed by a software development group, ImaSOFr, Department of Remote Sensing Technology and GIS, Institute for Geography, National Centre for Natural Science and Technology of Vietnam under technical cooperation with the Remote Sensing Technology Centre of Japan and financial support from the National Space Development Agency of Japan. ASEAN has been in continuous development since 1989, with different versions ranging from the simplest one for MS-DOS with standard VGA 320×200×256 colours, through versions supporting SpeedStar 1.0 and SpeedStar PRO 2.0 true colour graphics cards, up to the latest version named WinASEAN, which is designed for the Windows 3.1 operating system. The most remarkable feature of WinASEAN is the use of algorithms that speed up the image analysis process, even on PC platforms. Today WinASEAN is continuously improved in cooperation with NASDA (National Space Development Agency of Japan), RESTEC (Remote Sensing Technology Center of Japan) and released as public domain software for training, research and education through the Regional Remote Sensing Seminar on Tropical Eco-system Management which is organised by NASDA and ESCAR In this paper, the authors describe the functionality of WinASEAN, some of the relevant analysis algorithms, and discuss its possibilities of computer-assisted teaching and training of remote sensing.  相似文献

近年来,天地一体化对地观测系统与智能计算技术的快速发展为遥感科技进步甚至变革提供了难得的机遇。遥感信息技术在历经20世纪60~80年代以统计数学模型为核心的数字信号处理时代、从90年代至今以遥感信息物理量化为标志的定量遥感时代之后,现在正逐渐进入一个以数据模型驱动、大数据智能分析为特征的遥感大数据时代。在总结遥感信息技术历史发展脉络的基础上,阐述了遥感大数据的内涵和智能信息提取的时代特点,并从遥感大数据的理念出发,论述了面向对象的遥感知识库构建,分析了融合遥感知识和深度学习算法的大数据智能信息提取策略。通过典型实例,介绍了以深度学习为代表的智能算法在遥感大数据目标检测、精细分类、参数反演等方面的发展现状与趋势,并讨论了深度学习在遥感大数据时代的智能信息提取方面的应用潜力。  相似文献

本科毕业设计是我国高等教育检验学生专业理论知识和实践应用能力的关键一环。本文通过对武汉大学遥感信息工程学院2009~2015年遥感大专业本科毕业设计选题进行分类,分析了近七年各类别选题所占比例的时间变化,并结合课题来源讨论了遥感专业的研究热点及研究兴趣,对武汉大学遥感学科发展趋势做了探讨。本文对武汉大学的遥感学科建设具有一定的指导意义,也为其他高校相关专业的建立和发展提供了一定的参考。  相似文献

遥感是一门应用性极强的现代地球信息学科,在总结分析遥感学科理论发展与遥感应用新特征基础上,进行遥感学科发展与应用理论探索,是推动遥感学科与应用迈上新台阶的重要任务。本文通过对现有遥感学科组成及分类体系的分析,首先提出了一种基于方法论的遥感学科分类新方法,在分析遥感应用中普遍存在的跨时空特征基础上,从遥感应用新视野提出了跨时空遥感的理论,最后结合典型案例剖析了跨时空遥感的应用。跨时空遥感理论的建立顺应遥感学科发展的需要,遥感应用时空观的提出对今后遥感应用具有参考价值。  相似文献

The quality and accuracy of remote sensing instruments have been improved significantly, however, rapid processing of large-scale remote sensing data becomes the bottleneck for remote sensing quantitative retrieval applications. The remote sensing quantitative retrieval is a data-intensive computation application, which is one of the research issues of high throughput computation. The remote sensing quantitative retrieval Grid workflow is a high-level core component of remote sensing Grid, which is used to support the modeling, reconstruction and implementation of large-scale complex applications of remote sensing science. In this paper, we intend to study middleware components of the remote sensing Grid – the dynamic Grid workflow based on the remote sensing quantitative retrieval application on Grid platform. We designed a novel architecture for the remote sensing Grid workflow. According to this architecture, we constructed the Remote Sensing Information Service Grid Node (RSSN) with Condor. We developed a graphic user interface (GUI) tools to compose remote sensing processing Grid workflows, and took the aerosol optical depth (AOD) retrieval as an example. The case study showed that significant improvement in the system performance could be achieved with this implementation. The results also give a perspective on the potential of applying Grid workflow practices to remote sensing quantitative retrieval problems using commodity class PCs.  相似文献

近年来随着全球气候变暖和冰川退缩,以及人类在高海拔地区活动的增多,冰湖溃决洪水灾害呈增加趋势。由于遥感和GIS技术的众多优势,使其在冰湖溃决洪水研究方面得到广泛应用。首先对冰湖溃决洪水及其研究做简单介绍,然后从冰川、冰湖空间数据获取,冰湖溃决评价指标获取,冰湖溃决洪水模拟和DEM的建立及应用4个方面对遥感和GIS在冰湖溃决洪水研究中的应用进行综述,最后指出,目前遥感和GIS在冰湖溃决洪水应用中的不足,为进一步研究和应用指明了方向。  相似文献

区域蒸散发量的遥感模型方法研究   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
蒸散是水资源管理的一个重要参数。与传统的蒸散计算方法相比,利用遥感进行蒸散研究具有快速、准确、大区域尺度及地图可视化显示等特点。本文通过研究,提出了基于能量平衡方法遥感反演蒸散发的计算模型,指出了模型参数的求解方法,建立了基于MOD IS遥感数据的大区域蒸散发遥感反演技术方法。通过对石羊河流域进行试验,反演误差基本小于10%,并且具有进一步推广的技术前景。  相似文献
