环境中的污染物,极少单一存在,往往是多种并存。因此,它们对生物的影响是综合性的,可能产生拮抗(Antagonism)或协同作用(Synergism)。然而,以实验的方法研究多种重金属对海洋动物的效应的报道目前还不多见。已有的多为单种元素的实验研究,如Cunningham和Tripp,对汞在美洲牡蛎体内的积累、排出以及用同位素标记其在组织中的分布做了不少工作; Eisler等做了镉对海洋动物影响的研究;Phillipst近几年来做了监测重金属污染物的生物指标种的探讨。 毛蚶Arca (Anadara) subcrenata Lischke,在我国沿海均有分布,大量产于渤海,是沿海地区的重要食用贝类。作者以毛蚶为实验材料,探讨镉、铜、铅、镍、铬等五种混合的重金属在其体内的积累、排出和在器官组织中的分布,以及盐度变化对其积累的影响。这对于了解重金属对海洋生物的影响,进行环境质量的综合评价是很必要的,尤其在环境条件较为复杂的河口和海湾区域更具有重要意义。  相似文献

The impact of several chemical poisons on the Arca granosa absorbing 45Ca was studied. The results showed that the absorption of 45Ca in the blood and the soft tissue by Arca granosa was inhibited by the inorganic compounds of Cu, Zn, Pd, Cd, Hg and so on, among which the inhibition of Cd was the strongest, next was that of Cu and Hg. But the inhibition of the absorption of 45Ca in the shell of Arca granosa was little. The impact of three kinds of energy metabolism inhibitory substances on the absorption of 45Ca by the Area granosa showed that the absorption was an active transfer process.  相似文献

The concentration of 65Zn under artificial conditions in suspended matter, sediment, algae, and excretion as well as its distribution in the organs of fish (Tilapia mossambia), prawn (Penaeus peni-cillatus), clam (Area granosa), clam (Cyclina sinensis) are studied. The results show a high concentration factor of suspended matter, with a dynamic equilibrium of concentration by lagea arrived after two days. The concentration factor of 85Zn in the intestines of fish, prawn, clam and gills of clam are very high, and their excretive rate is rapid. It shows that the intestines and gills are critical organs of 65Zn concentration. The content of 65Zn in nucleic acid is highest, and is higher in RNA than in DNA, while that in organic acid is lowest.  相似文献

The pathway by which "Co and 137C3 got into Area, and the type of uptake in animal were studied. The results showed that 60Co was taken up by gill and was transferred quickly to other organs through blood. There are more uptake pathways for 137Cs. The uptake of 60Co by Arca was mainly active transfer and the energy comes mainly from the process of biotic oxidation. On the contrary, the uptake of 137C3 by Arca was mainly a passive transfer, and for most organs the exchange through body-wall was a significant factor.  相似文献

This paper explores the accumulations ana distributions of Cd, Pb and Cu in clam Area granosa through determining their contents in Dlood and soft parts. The results show an order of concentration factors for these metals therein as: Cd>Cu>Pb; the values of concentration factors and the patterns of distribution are similar for Cu and Pb but different from Cd. Concentration factors in blood can reflect the enrichement abilities of soft parts. Exposure experiments have indicated that the Pb level in blood is controlled by Pb concentrations in surrouding seawater, changing with time, that the Pb cocentration causing poisoning in the seawater is 1-100 μg/l, and that the Pb content in blood and soft parts of Area granosa increases with that of Pb increasing in seawater. There exist relationships of double logatithmic concentrations for Pb among the three mediums.  相似文献

Total and reactive mercury concentrations have been measured on samples of surface water taken along the shores of the Bay of Biscay and in the Gironde Estuary. In the low turbid areas of the Bay of Biscay the average concentration of total mercury of unfiltered samples is 3.5 ± 0.7 (n = 15) and the reactive mercury 2.1 ± 0.7 (n = 12) pmol l−1; the high levels, up to 27.6 (total mercury) and 4.6 (reactive mercury) pmol l−1 are from the most turbid samples taken from the Marennes-Oléron basin. In the Gironde Estuary, the distribution of total dissolved mercury rises to a peak of concentration (38 pmol l−1) within the high turbidity zone where the salinity is lower than 10‰. The possible origin of this pattern of distribution is discussed.  相似文献

The Mussel Watch program conducted along the French coasts for the last 20 years indicates that the highest mercury concentrations in the soft tissue of the blue mussel (Mytilus edulis) occur in animals from the eastern part of Seine Bay on the south coast of the English Channel, the “Pays de Caux”. This region is characterized by the presence of intertidal and submarine groundwater discharges, and no particular mercury effluent has been reported in its vicinity. Two groundwater emergence systems in the karstic coastal zone of the Pays de Caux (Etretat and Yport with slow and fast water percolation pathways respectively) were seasonally sampled to study mercury distribution, partitioning and speciation in water. Samples were also collected in the freshwater–seawater mixing zones in order to compare mercury concentrations and speciation between these “subterranean” or “groundwater” estuaries and the adjacent macrotidal Seine estuary, characterized by a high turbidity zone (HTZ). The mercury concentrations in the soft tissue of mussels from the same areas were monitored at the same time.The means of the “dissolved” (< 0.45 μm) mercury concentrations (HgTD) in the groundwater springs were 0.99 ± 0.15 ng l− 1 (n = 18) and 0.44 ± 0.17 ng l− 1 (n = 17) at Etretat and Yport respectively. High HgTD concentrations were associated with strong runoff over short water pathways during storm periods, while low concentrations were associated with long groundwater pathways. Mean particulate mercury concentrations were 0.22 ± 0.05 ng mg− 1 (n = 16) and 0.16 ± 0.10 ng mg− 1 (n = 17) at Etretat and Yport respectively, and decreased with increasing particle concentration probably as a result of dilution by particles from soil erosion. Groundwater mercury speciation was characterized by high reactive-to-total mercury ratios in the dissolved phase (HgRD/HgTD: 44–95%), and very low total monomethylmercury concentrations (MMHg < 8 pg l− 1). The HgTD distributions in the Yport and Etretat mixing zones were similar (overall mean concentration of 0.73 ± 0.21 ng l− 1, n = 43), but higher than those measured in the adjacent industrialized Seine estuary (mean: 0.31 ± 0.11 ng l− 1, n = 67). In the coastal waters along the Pays de Caux dissolved monomethylmercury (MMHgD) concentrations varied from 9.5 to 13.5 pg l− 1 (2 to 8% of the HgTD). Comparable levels were measured in the Seine estuary (range: 12.2– 21.1 pg l−1; 6–12% of the HgTD). These groundwater karstic estuaries seem to be mostly characterized by the higher HgTD and HgRD concentrations than in the adjacent HTZ Seine estuary. While the HTZ of the Seine estuary acts as a dissolved mercury removal system, the low turbid mixing zone of the Pays de Caux receives the dissolved mercury inputs from the groundwater seepage with an apparent Hg transfer from the particulate phase to the “dissolved” phase (< 0.45 μm). In parallel, the soft tissue of mussels collected near the groundwater discharges, at Etretat and Yport, exhibited significantly higher values than those found in the mussel from the mouth of the Seine estuary. We observe that this difference mimics the differences found in the mercury distribution in the water, and argue that the dissolved phase of the groundwater estuaries and coastal particles are significant sources of bioavailable mercury for mussels.  相似文献

为探究菲律宾蛤仔(Ruditapes philippinarum)筏式养殖模式可行性,在我国黄海北部首次开展了菲律宾蛤仔"斑马蛤2号"新品种的筏式与底播养殖模式对比试验。采用平均壳长为2.37 cm,平均全湿重为2.99 g规格的"斑马蛤2号"苗种为试验材料,对两种养殖方式的"斑马蛤2号"生长、存活、营养成分进行比较分析,结果表明,筏式养殖"斑马蛤2号"夏季(4-7月)壳长、壳宽、壳高、全湿重、软体重的相对生长速率分别比底播养殖"斑马蛤2号"快149.54%、100.61%、116.30%、152.25%、132.58%(P<0.05)。筏式养殖"斑马蛤2号"存活率为90%以上,显著高于底播养殖(P<0.05)。两种养殖方式的"斑马蛤2号"水分、灰分、粗蛋白、糖原、脂肪酸等营养成分季节变化规律基本一致。筏式养殖"斑马蛤2号"冬季糖原、单不饱和脂肪酸含量明显高于底播养殖"斑马蛤2号"(P<0.05)。研究表明,当年10月采用多层聚乙烯网笼按密度为150-200粒/层放养菲律宾蛤仔"斑马蛤2号"大规格苗种(平均壳长为2.37 cm,平均全湿重为2.99 g),可于翌年的4月、7月、10月收获平均壳长为3.03、3.36、3.51 cm的市场规格产品。筏式养殖模式具有存活率高的优点。"斑马蛤2号"筏式养殖模式试验的成功为蛤仔健康养殖提供了新途径。  相似文献

采用半静态染毒实验研究了菲和Cd2+单一及复合污染下胁迫9 d和清水释放2 d过程中毛蚶体内活性氧(ROS)、谷胱甘肽(GSH)含量和谷胱甘肽硫转移酶(GST)活性的变化。结果表明,菲和Cd2+单独胁迫能诱导毛蚶体内ROS含量的增加及GSH含量、GST活性的降低,且随染毒浓度的增加,对各指标影响愈明显,存在剂量-效应关系。毛蚶体内GSH和GST的变化趋势具有一致性。菲和Cd2+复合污染对毛蚶体内的氧化胁迫效应整体大于二者单独污染。在清水释放阶段,单一及复合污染胁迫组各指标均能恢复至对照组水平。表明毛蚶体内抗氧化系统适合作为监测海洋多环芳烃和重金属复合污染的生物标志物。  相似文献

The fishery yield of Manila clams, Ruditapes philippinarum, increased considerably in the 1970s but has decreased rapidly since the middle 1980s on extensive intertidal sand flats in Ariake Sound (Kyushu, Japan). A survey conducted in 2004 on a 3.4-km2 sand flat located in the central part of the Sound (Shirakawa sand flat) revealed four dominant species: two thalassinidean shrimps (Upogebia major and Nihonotrypaea japonica), which are deep-reaching burrow dwellers with strong bioturbation activities, and two bivalves (Mactra veneriformis and R. philippinarum). All four species belong to a phytoplankton (diatom)-feeding guild. In the late 1970s, the Manila clam population prevailed in high densities over the entire sand flat, whereas its distribution was restricted to the lowest quarter of the shore in 2004. In contrast, the population sizes and zones of occurrence of the other phytoplankton feeders have expanded in the absence of R. philippinarum, perhaps an indication of competitive release. After establishment, effects of the thalassinidean shrimps on sediment stability appear to have further reduced clam abundances. Across the sand flat in 2004, wet weight population biomass estimates for N. japonica, U. major, M. veneriformis, and R. philippinarum (whole body for shrimps and soft tissue for bivalves) were 304, 111, 378, and 234 tonnes, respectively. Based on Manila clam fishery yield records from Shirakawa, the carrying capacity of the Shirakawa sand flat in the late 1970s was estimated to be two times greater than the sum value for the whole phytoplankton-feeding guild in 2004. It is hypothesized that (1) the amount of phytoplankton determines the carrying capacity for the benthic community on the Shirakawa sand flat, with both phytoplankton and benthic biomass at maxima in the late 1970s, and (2) the subsequent increases in competition for space have caused further declines in the Manila clam population biomass to approximately one-eighth of its past value.  相似文献

Species-specific enriched stable isotopes have been used to study mercury transformations (methylation, demethylation and volatilization) in estuarine sediments under different environmental conditions (both biotic and abiotic and oxic and anoxic). These experiments have demonstrated the potential for the isotopically enriched species in combination with highly sensitive measurement methods (ICP MS) to facilitate the study of mercury speciation and reactivity. Sediments (sterilized and nonsterilized) were spiked with both isotopically enriched inorganic (199Hg) and monomethylmercury (MM201Hg) at environmental levels to avoid perturbing the system and incubated under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. The formation of MM199Hg and the degradation of MM201Hg were measured simultaneously during time series experiments by capillary gas chromatography-inductively coupled mass spectrometry. Specific methylation and demethylation rate constants (Km and Kd) were calculated. Results clearly showed that methylmercury levels in sediments are controlled by competing and simultaneous methylation and demethylation reactions. Operating conditions, likely to drastically modify the reactivity of the media, were of primary importance to assess the relative significance of each mechanism. In estuarine sediments, mercury methylation was enhanced under anaerobic nonsterile conditions, whereas other environmental conditions were either less favorable for monomethylmercury production or more effective for its degradation. The production of total gaseous mercury was found to be minimal, although it could be demonstrated that it was related to the fate and transformation of methylmercury.  相似文献

Seventy percent of 342 seawater samples collected in the Bering Sea, North and South Pacific, Japan Sea, East and South China Seas, and Indian Ocean had concentrations of “total” mercury ranging from 3 to 6 ng Hg l?1 with an arithmetic mean of 5.3 ng l?1 and a geometric mean of 5.0 ng l?1. In some cases, a higher concentration was observed at the surface, at the halocline or thermocline, or in the bottom water. But in general, there was no consistent correlation between mercury concentration and depth, except for a statistical tendency for mercury concentration to be slightly higher in the surface water. This tendency suggests that mercury in the ocean is supplied from the atmosphere by rain washout. The latitudinal variation of surface mercury concentrations showed that the maximum concentration at each latitude decreased from 40°N to 30°S. This variation provides evidence that atmospheric mercury is emitted mainly from continental areas naturally or anthropogenically.  相似文献

金属硫蛋白(Metallothionein,MT)是一类富含半胱氨酸的小分子蛋白质,参与机体重金属解毒和金属元素代谢等生理过程。本研究采用RACE技术,克隆获得了菲律宾蛤仔(Ruditapes philippinarum)金属硫蛋白(RpMT)的全长cDNA序列。RpMT的cDNA全长为570bp,编码75个氨基酸,包含15个MT所特有的Cys-Xn-Cys结构。采用实时荧光定量PCR技术,分析了两种壳色菲律宾蛤仔(白蛤和斑马蛤)RpMT基因在Cd2+暴露后的表达变化。结果发现:Cd2+急性和亚慢性暴露均可导致两种壳色蛤仔消化腺和鳃组织RpMT基因表达量的显著上调;暴露后两种壳色蛤仔鳃组织RpMT基因表达量的增加幅度均高于消化腺组织,且以白蛤鳃组织基因表达水平的上调幅度较高。上述结果表明,RpMT可能在菲律宾蛤仔抵御Cd2+胁迫过程中发挥了重要作用。  相似文献

为构建泥蚶感染弧菌标准技术体系,本研究采用哈维氏弧菌浸泡感染和注射胁迫两种攻毒方式对泥蚶进行了急性毒性实验,观察泥蚶在菌液胁迫下的存活情况,分析哈维氏弧菌对泥蚶的半致死浓度。浸泡感染实验结果表明,随着感染水体中弧菌升高,泥蚶死亡起始时间和最大日死亡率时间均有所提前,泥蚶死亡情况呈现上升趋势,当浸泡浓度超过2×107CFU/mL,泥蚶15 d累计死亡率接近100%。注射胁迫实验结果表明,泥蚶死亡率与弧菌注射浓度呈显著正相关(r=0.964,P<0.01)。Probit回归分析结果显示,哈维氏弧菌浸泡感染泥蚶7 d后停止实验,15 d的半致死浓度(LC50)为1.35×107CFU/mL;注射胁迫下的96 h半致死剂量(96 h LD50)为2.12×107CFU/g,说明哈维氏弧菌对泥蚶有明显的毒害作用。研究结果为泥蚶对哈维氏弧菌耐受性提供数据参考,并且为泥蚶弧菌病防治提供了理论基础。  相似文献

The Ebro catchment, the largest river basin in Spain, includes various heavily industrialized areas. Among these is the Flix site, where a chemical plant has been operating since the beginning of the 20th century. This extended operational period, together with the construction of a dam next to the factory around 1960, resulted in the accumulation of large amounts of heavily polluted sediments in the adjacent riverbed, many of which are contaminated by mercury. Pollutants from Flix are carried downstream by the Ebro River to its delta. In order to assess the transfer of mercury to the complex river estuary ecosystem, we studied the ecology of the tern community living there as these birds segregate into a range of habitats. For this purpose, first we used stable isotope analysis (SIA) (δ34S, δ13C, δ15N) of eggs to determine the trophic ecology and habitat partitioning of several tern species (Common, Sandwich, Little, Gull-Billed and Whiskered Tern) breeding sympatrically, in order to link their foraging ecology with habitat types. Next we measured mercury concentrations in eggs to monitor the input of this metal into the diverse habitats. With the exception of the Little Tern, the other terns used a restricted habitat range in the Ebro Delta, as shown by C and S isotopes; the Gull-Billed and Whiskered Tern foraged in freshwater habitats, while the Common and Sandwich Tern used marine habitats. This restricted feeding behavior of the Gull-Billed and Common Tern contrasts with previous reports in other breeding sites. The Little Tern, which showed a wide range of isotopic values, was found to be an opportunistic forager but fed mainly in saltpans, a feeding habitat not reported previously for this species in this area. We found that mercury concentrations are related to foraging habitat and diet, and are unexpectedly higher in species feeding on demersal prey in marine habitats and also higher in birds feeding in saltpans than in those feeding in freshwater habitats. The mercury concentrations found in the Little and Common Tern eggs sampled in “Punta de la Banya” may be sufficiently high to endanger breeding success.  相似文献

The highest content of mercury in sediments (300×10~(-9)) was found in Ditou, contrast-ing strongly with the low content of 36×10~(-9) in Port Dongzhai in the Hainan Island. Tab1e 1 showsthat the average content of mercury in sediments in the Jiulong Estuary is 140×10~(-9) and the averageof four areas is 72×10~(-9). Moon snail predation on clams is a common model system of predator–prey interactions. In this system, the predator bores through the shell of its prey, leaving a distinct and identifiable hole. Some paleoecological and behavioral research on moon snails suggests a trend in predation preference directed toward clams with small shells. Rarely, however, have studies tested relative drilling frequencies across species and size ranges in natural assemblages of clam communities. We examined the clam community composition at two beaches in South Carolina, USA, and we then tested moon snail predator preferences for (a) clam prey species and (b) whether their selection is related to prey shell size. We collected a total of 1,879 clam shells, identified each shell to species and recorded their anteroposterior length. The species composition of clams differed significantly between the two beaches; Anadara ovalis was dominant at both sites, but three of ten total species were only collected at one beach. Folly Beach had nearly a 60% higher the overall drilling frequency (34.6%) versus Edisto Beach (21.8%), and this may be linked to the differences in clam community compositions at the sites. For A. ovalis and Mulinia lateralis, shells with larger lengths have lower probabilities of being bored by a moon snail. Anadara brasiliana, which generally is a thinner‐shelled clam species, had the highest total drilling frequency (77.2%), and Noetia ponderosa, a thicker‐shelled clam, had a considerably lower drilling frequency (12.0%). We conclude that both community level factors (species composition) and population characteristics (shell size distributions) may influence the local drilling frequency by moon snails.  相似文献

Determination of the actual mercury concentration in Mediterranean basin seawater was achieved by means of an instrument based on fluorescence spectrometry developed for this purpose, during a field study aboard the oceanographic ship “L.F. Marsili”, between August 1980 and May 1982.Dissolved ·total’ and ·reactive’ mercury and mercury associated with particulate matter were determined on surface and subsurface waters in the Tyrrhenian Sea from La Spezia to Sicily.Concentrations in the range 1.4–19.7 ng l−1 for ·total dissolved mercury’, 0.5–5.9 ng l−1 for ·reactive dissolved mercury’ and 0.3–8.0 ng l−1 for mercury associated with the particulate matter, were measured on surface and subsurface waters in the Tyrrhenian Sea from La Spezia to Sicily.Even if the mean value of the total mercury concentration (dissolved + particulate) was found to be about twice as high as those observed for the oceans, the difference does not seem to be as high as predicted by the model proposed by Buffoni and co-workers to explain the large difference of mercury levels between tunas caught, respectively, in the Mediterranean and in the Oceans.  相似文献

The tendency of dimethylsulfide (DMS) to form complexes with heavy metal ions in aqueous solutions and the factors that influence it have been investigated. Among five heavy metal ions examined (Cu2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+), only Hg2+ bound significantly with DMS in aqueous solutions in which Hg2+ concentration was increased to much higher levels than that of natural seawater. The complexation capacity of Hg2+ for DMS was influenced by pH and media. The affinity of Hg2+ for DMS was generally lower at high than at low pH, presumably due to the competition of hydroxide ion to form hydroxomercury species. In different solutions, the affinity of Hg2+ for DMS followed the following sequence: ultra-purified water > 35‰ NaCl solution > seawater. It seems apparent that chloride had a negative impact on the complexation of DMS by Hg2+, owing to the competition of chloride with DMS for complexing Hg2+. In addition, the affinity of Hg2+ for DMS in the bulk seawater appeared to be higher than that in the surface microlayer seawater. The tendency of Hg2+ to form complexes with DMS in aqueous solution can be reduced by the presence of 2 mM amino-acid such as glycine, alanine, serine and cysteine, as these ligands give stable mercury complexes. However, the presence of 2 mM acetate in experimental solutions had no significant effect on the complexation of Hg2+ with DMS, even though this ligand has a relatively strong complexing capacity for Hg2+. Although mercury ions appeared to have a strong affinity for DMS, the concentration of mercury in seawater is too low to produce a great effect on the distribution of DMS in oceans.  相似文献
