The interpretation of magnetic anomalies of dipping beds with an inclined top is ambiguous. The magnetic anomaly profile over a dipping bed can be produced by a series of beds of different dips and directions of magnetization. Further, these anomalies are equivalent to those of faults and anticlines. Thus, the magnetic anomaly profiles, assumed to be produced by one of the models, can also be produced by the other models. The ambiguity is resolved in case of dipping beds and faults, when the magnetization is caused purely by induction; but the case of anticlinal beds remains ambiguous.The magnetic equivalence of dipping beds, anticlines, and faults makes it possible to apply the available methods of interpretation of fault models to dipping beds and anticlines.  相似文献

In order to gain a better understanding of the geometry of surface faults, five Controlled Source/Radio Magnetotelluric (CSRMT) profiles were measured across the Volvi basin, 45 km northeast of the city of Thessaloniki in Greece. The data were collected in two frequency ranges: a) 1–12.5 kHz using a remotely controlled double horizontal magnetic dipole transmitter (CSAMT measurements), and b) 15–250 kHz using the signal from distant radio transmitters (RMT measurements). The transition from the RMT band to the CSAMT band was smooth and continuous allowing us to combine both datasets for plane-wave modeling. The surface geology shows a predominantly 2D structure, and therefore we planned the survey into profiles perpendicular to the geological strike. We have used a 2D interpretation tool to model the data in TE, TM, TE + TM and determinant modes. Using a 4% error floor on the impedance, 2D resistivity models from inversion of the determinant data provide lower RMS data fits (4.2 and 1.2 for resistivity and phase, respectively) compared to the combined TE + TM data (4.4, 2.8, overall resistivity and phase, respectively). 2D inversion of the measured tensor data shows a sharp change in the depth to the top of resistive gneiss–schist basement that is overlain by a less resistive overburden at southern basin flanks. The change in depth to the bedrock is clearly seen in all 2D models along the measured profiles suggesting the existence of normal faults with strike directions of NE–SW to E–W. The 2D electrical resistivity models suggest that the bedrock deepens towards south-west. The resistivity models are also compared with the existing borehole information in the area and show a reasonable correlation. For example the sharp change of depth to the bedrock towards the center of the basin as seen in the resistivity models are also confirmed by the borehole data.  相似文献

We conducted a laser-equipped analog experiment aimed at quasi-continuously monitoring the growth of a dense population of normal faults in homogeneous conditions. To further understand the way geological faults progressively gain in slip and length as they accumulate more strain, we measured with great precision the incremental slip and length changes that the analog faults sustain as they grow. These measurements show that the analog faults share common features with the natural ones. In particular, during their growth, the faults develop and maintain cumulative slip profiles that are generally triangular and asymmetric. The growth takes place through two distinct phases: an initial, short period of rapid lateral lengthening, followed by a longer phase of slip accumulation with little or no lengthening. The incremental slip is found to be highly variable in both space (along the faults) and time, resulting in variable slip rates. In particular, ‘short- and long-term’ slip rates are markedly different. We also find that slip measurements at local points on fault traces do not contain clear information on the slip increment repeat mode. Finally, while the fault growth process is highly heterogeneous when considered at the scale of a few slip events, it appears homogeneous and self-similar at longer time scales which integrate many slip increments. This is likely to be the result of a feedback between stress heterogeneities and slip development. The long-term scale homogeneity also implies that the long-term faulting process is primarily insensitive to the short-term heterogeneities that are rapidly smoothed or redistributed. We propose a new conceptual scenario of fault growth that integrates the above observations and we suggest that faults grow in a bimodal way as a result of a self-driven and self-sustaining process.  相似文献

为满足中国海岸带海陆统筹调查的需求,基于最新编制的中国北部海岸带(台州以北)1:50万航磁图件,利用逐点化极、延拓、垂向导数等数据位场转化处理,结合地质背景、物性资料和已有航空物探解释成果,对研究区磁场特征进行分析,分区探讨航磁异常成因,并编制北部海岸带(台州以北)断裂分布图。结果表明,海岸带地区磁性较强的岩石广泛发育,以NE—NNE向为主的线性磁异常带是大量中新生代中酸性岩浆岩的反映,而区域性团块状磁异常或宽缓正负磁异常则为区域变质岩系的反映。研究区断裂发育,断裂展布方向基本以NE向、NNE向为主,NW向次之,其中深大断裂对区域构造、岩浆活动等有明显的控制作用。本研究编制的北部海岸带航磁"一张图"作为质量可靠的基础数据,可为解决海岸带基础环境和地质问题提供丰富的地球物理信息。依据航磁资料划分的断裂,解决了特殊地理环境下海陆断裂不衔接的问题,实现了断裂海陆统筹的目标,可为海陆交互区重大工程规划提供安全性评价依据。  相似文献

This paper presents the results of a detailed survey combining Seabeam mapping, gravity and geomagnetic measurements as well as single-channel seismic reflection observations in the Japan Trench and the juncture with the Kuril Trench during the French-Japanese Kaiko project (northern sector of the Leg 3) on the R/V “Jean Charcot”. The main data acquired during the cruise, such as the Seabeam maps, magnetic anomalies pattern, and preliminary interpretations are discussed. These new data cover an area of 18,000 km2 and provide for the first time a detailed three-dimensional image of the Japan Trench. Combined with the previous results, the data indicate new structural interpretations. A comparative study of Seabeam morphology, single-channel and reprocessed multichannel records lead to the conclusion that along the northern Japan Trench there is little evidence of accretion but, instead, a tectonic erosion of the overriding plate. The tectonic pattern on the oceanic side of the trench is controlled by the creation of new normal faults parallel to the Japan Trench axis, which is a direct consequence of the downward flexure of the Pacific plate. In addition to these new faults, ancient normal faults trending parallel to the N65° oceanic magnetic anomalies and oblique to the Japan trench axis are reactivated, so that two directions of normal faulting are observed seaward of the Japan Trench. Only one direction of faulting is observed seaward of the Kuril Trench because of the parallelism between the trench axis and the magnetic anomalies. The convergent front of the Kuril Trench is offset left-laterally by 20 km relative to those of the Japan Trench. This transform fault and the lower slope of the southernmost Kuril Trench are represented by very steep scarps more than 2 km high. Slightly south of the juncture, the Erimo Seamount riding on the Pacific plate, is now entering the subduction zone. It has been preceded by at least another seamount as revealed by magnetic anomalies across the landward slope of the trench. Deeper future studies will be necessary to discriminate between the two following hypothesis about the origin of the curvature between both trenches: Is it due to the collision of an already subducted chain of seamounts? or does it correspond to one of the failure lines of the America/Eurasia plate boundary?  相似文献

Recent measurements have shown that the magnetic coercive forces of some Apollo lunar samples show an un-expected decrease with decreasing temperature at cryogenic temperatures. This behavior can be explained quantitatively in terms of a model which considers additive contributions from a soft, reversible magnetic phase and from a harder, hysteretic magnetic phase.  相似文献

系统收集并重新处理了华北克拉通中东部的重磁资料,利用处理结果,结合近年来华北克拉通前寒武纪结晶基底构造研究的进展,重新将华北克拉通中东部划分为2个一级重磁异常单元和7个二级重磁异常单元;重点描述了7条分划性断裂的重磁特征,特别指出中国东部重力梯度带正是华北克拉通中部带的集中表现,而郯庐断裂带和兰考~聊城~盐山~台安-大洼断裂带是燕山期陆内不同刚性块体调整的重要边界,所以也是重磁特征的变异带.据此,对华北克拉通断裂与构造单元的重磁异常特征赋予了新的地质意义.研究表明,华北克拉通现今的地球物理特征能够反映结晶基底构造,其原因是华北克拉通现今构造格局是中新生代构造继承结晶基底构造的结果.  相似文献

获得初始地应力最直接最有效的方法是进行地应力测量,但在地应力测量打钻的过程中,初始地应力会遭到破坏,使得测量值与实际初始地应力值有差别.本文应用有限元方法研完了断层对打钻前后地应力变化的影响规律,考虑因素包括断层的力学性质(弹性模量、泊松比)、断层到钻孔的距离、边界应力、复合断层.研究表明,断层泊松比对初始地应力的变化影响很小,不是影响初始地应力变化的敏感因素.断层弹性模量、断层到钻孔距离、边界应力、复合断层是影响初始地应力变化的敏感因素.研究结果可为钻孔地应力测量研究提供参考价值.  相似文献

This paper firstly discusses the feasibility of delineating the volcanic rocks distribution by gravitational and magnetic methods on the basis of the statistical results of the magnetic susceptibility and density of the different lithologies in the study area. After the separation of gravitational and magnetic fields by bandpass filter, we determined the residual gravitational and magnetic anomalies caused by volcanic rocks. The results of potential field separation show that the residual anomalies are in beaded NE-directed distribution. In the meantime, the boundary enhancement techniques such as horizontal total gradient and vertical derivative are employed to delineate the distribution of the faults, as the result, fifteen faults including four NE-striking main faults which appear as an arc protruding to the southeast and other secondary faults are distinguished. Furthermore, two fault systems with deep and superficial attribution are revealed from the inversed section of the telluric electromagnetic sounding, and their properties, characteristics and roles in the volcanic activity are fully discussed by combining with the tectonic background. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the correlation between the distribution characteristics of the residual gravitational and magnetic anomalies and the location of the faults, three volcanic activity zones are reasonably delineated. Finally, we carry out the inversion of apparent density by taking advantage of the residual gravitational anomalies and acquire the apparent density anomalies of the top part of Paleozoic. Integrated with the apparent density anomalies, the lithologies exposed from the boreholes, the observed density data of different rocks and the residual gravitational-magnetic anomalies, we elaborately delineate the lithologies of the top of Paleozoic and further define the distribution range and the lithology combination of Kekesayi group of Middle Ordovician, Tailegula group of Lower Carboniferous and Jiamuhe group of Lower Permian.  相似文献

根据鄂尔多斯盆地靖边气田上方的MI02线、江苏储家楼油田与江汉盆地花园油田地表十字剖面土壤磁性的测量结果,研究地表是否存在与深部油气藏中烃类垂向运移相关磁性蚀变带的可能性及其分布形式.结果表明,MI02线样品显示了明显的高磁性异常特征,并与酸解烃之间呈很强的正相关.磁滞回线形态与参量显示出明显的亚铁磁性特征.电子探针分析结果表明,样品中主要磁性矿物(磁铁矿)中高温杂质元素含量很低.江汉盆地花园油田十字剖面磁滞回线参量(饱和磁化强度Js与饱和等温剩磁Jr)的高异常位于油田周边,油田顶部土壤呈典型顺磁性特征.储家楼油田地表土壤的高磁性异常主要位于油田上方,它们均与盖层中的断裂构造对应,储家楼油田的高磁性样品中发现的典型球粒状磁铁矿为次生低温磁铁矿,它与烃运移之间存在成因关系.  相似文献

西藏和西南三江地区是青藏地区断裂构造最为复杂区域,历经数十年研究,对该区断裂构造的认识仍存在分歧.笔者以最新实测航磁数据并结合重力资料为基础,从重、磁场特征与地质构造研究相结合角度出发,新编制了西藏及西南三江地区的断裂构造格架图.研究结果表明,在西南三江流域的金沙江深断裂、澜沧江深断裂和怒江深断裂自南向北西延伸,没有与西藏地区的近东西向断裂呈弧形连接,而是一组独立存在的北西向断裂,这是在特提斯断裂系统中新发现的一组北西向断裂,它与发育在西藏地区的近东西向断裂分属于不同的断裂系,与前人提出的金沙江缝合带、龙木错—澜沧江缝合带和班公湖—怒江缝合带的走向呈北西—近东西向弧形分布特征的看法存在差异.这组断裂的发现改变了对西藏—西南三江地区断裂构造格架的认识,这为今后大地构造研究提出新的启示.文章重点展现西南三江(金沙江、澜沧江、怒江)深断裂带在重、磁场上的西延状况,并探讨了西南三江深断裂与西藏地区近东西向深断裂呈相交关系特征,同时也表明重、磁资料用于断裂构造的研究具有重要意义.  相似文献

长期以来,对内蒙古贺根山缝合带中的镁铁-超镁铁岩,有着"蛇绿岩"、"岩浆岩"、"幔源熔-流体"等不同认识.近年来在铬铁矿中发现了金刚石等深部地幔矿物,如何认识携带这些物质的幔源熔-流体的上涌?缝合带在镁铁-超镁铁岩的形成过程中起到什么作用?解决问题的关键之一是弄清镁铁-超镁铁岩的深部产状,这需要来自地球物理观测数据的依据.本文基于航磁和重力数据的研究表明,贺根山地区的蛇绿岩块均呈现高磁异常特征,其中贺根山岩块埋深明显大于其他岩块,表现为高磁异常与低重力异常,与地表出露的蛇纹石化的镁铁-超镁铁岩带对应.对航磁化极异常与布格重力异常数据做了向上延拓处理,进行了磁源形态及底界深度的估算,并利用基于相异度算子的边缘增强方法辅助识别断裂.结果表明,贺根山岩块贯穿地壳,且附近存在超壳断裂.地表至中地壳主要由蛇纹石化的镁铁-超镁铁岩组成,下地壳主要为超镁铁质岩组成,它们充填在一组宽约30km的NEE向断裂带中,大地电磁测深剖面揭示的壳-幔电性结构进一步证实控制缝合带的是岩石圈断裂,贺根山缝合带具有明显的根部.由此推测,在地幔底辟上涌的背景下,幔源熔-流体沿着岩石圈断裂持续上升到达浅表,暗示该区板块的拼合可能是通过深部幔源物质的侵入而成的.  相似文献

2006年中国地震局地质研究所地震动力学国家重点实验室在川西地区(26°N~32°N,100°E~105°E)布设了由297台宽频带数字地震仪组成的流动观测台阵.利用该密集台阵29°N以北156个台站2007年1~12月份的地震环境噪声记录和互相关技术,我们得到了所有台站对的面波经验格林函数和瑞利波相速度频散曲线,并进一步反演得到了观测台阵下方2~35 s周期的瑞利波相速度分布图像.本文结果表明,观测台阵覆盖的川滇地块、松潘-甘孜地块和四川盆地的地壳速度结构存在显著差异,具体表现为:(1)短周期(2~8 s)相速度分布与地表构造特征相吻合,作为川滇地块、松潘-甘孜地块和四川盆地之间的边界断裂,龙门山断裂带和鲜水河断裂带对上述三个地块上地壳的速度结构具有明显的控制作用,四川盆地前陆低速特征表明相应区域存在较厚的(约10 km)沉积盖层;(2)中周期(12~18 s)相速度分布表明,川滇地块和松潘-甘孜地块中上地壳速度结构存在明显的不均匀横向变化,并形成了尺度不同且高、低速相间的分块结构,而四川盆地中地壳整体上已经表现出相对高速;(3)长周期(25~35 s)相速度分布表明,松潘-甘孜地块,特别是川滇地块中下地壳表现为广泛的明显低速异常,意味着它们的中下地壳相对软弱,而四川盆地的中下地壳呈现整体性的相对高速,意味着四川盆地具有相对坚硬的中下地壳,并且以汶川地震的震中为界,龙门山断裂带的地壳结构显示了北段为高速异常,南段为低速异常的分段特征.  相似文献

地磁场磁力线切割海水和电磁感应两种方式的共同作用影响着海水介质中变化地磁场的时空特征.虽然近些年的野外实践、数值模拟和理论研究都表明,海面和深海海底的变化磁场存在差异,但极少有实测数据揭示在海水介质不同深度位置地磁场的时空特征.本文主要介绍在南海西南次海盆4366 m深度处布放和回收了一个4000 m长深海地磁观测潜标的科学实验;重点分析垂直方向不同水深位置上地磁场观测记录中总强度的变化幅度及相位的时空特征.并通过建立地磁场太阳静日变化模型,将观测结果与南海周缘的三个地磁台站观测记录进行对比分析.研究结果表明,地磁场总强度在深海水体的不同深度存在着显著差别.在地磁扰动较小或平静期间,深海潜标处的日变形态与同纬度邻近台站的观测结果较为一致;而在地磁扰动期间,由于所处位置处地下电性介质的差异会对感应磁场产生不同的影响,观测到的总强度在幅度和相位变化中也出现相应的不同.本文的分析结果不仅为海水介质不同深度地磁场时空特征的研究提供了科学实验依据,也为海洋磁测中地磁日变观测站的布设提供建议.  相似文献

黄骅坳陷盆地结构及构造单元展布受深断裂及盆地基底的控制与影响,利用重磁异常可以较大范围地揭示出控制盆地构造格局的深断裂及基底结构特征.本文综合考虑研究区盆地基底的宏观磁性差异以及存在的剩磁影响,采用对磁化方向依赖性小的磁异常模量数据,研究了黄骅盆地区域横向构造转换带的展布与磁性基底结构.识别出五条NW向与优势构造走向高角度相交的区域横向构造转换带和两条呈“T” 型展布的隐伏深断裂;研究区基底具有三分性结构特征,隐伏深断裂可能为三分基底的拼合线;基底结构差异及区域横向构造转换带共同控制了黄骅盆地“南北分区,东西分带”的宏观构造格局及沉积构造单元的展布.  相似文献

利用黄海海区重磁观测数据,以最新的地震层析成像和浅层反射地震探测结果作为约束,并利用小波分解、纹理特征图像处理等手段,对研究区进行了地球物理场特征分析、岩石物性总结、断裂信息提取和磁性基底埋深反演计算,同时对南黄海海域三条剖面进行了广义逆重磁数据拟合反演和地震P波速度成像.根据地球物理数据的各种处理结果,提出在南黄海西部存在一条串珠状地球物理线性构造带,并将这条NNW向断续延伸的构造带称之为南黄海西缘断裂带.该断裂带延伸长,断裂两侧前新生代地层差异较大,有可能是造成陆区和南黄海南部盆地区前新生代油气远景差异的原因之一.文中得到南黄海磁性基底埋藏分布具有“中间浅四周深”的分布特征,与地震层析成像结果相吻合.磁性基底的局部起伏和局部构造的边界断层共同控制了前新生代残留盆地的格架和残余厚度分布,反映出“区域控制局部,深层约束浅层”的规律.  相似文献

We studied 93 samples from 8 basaltic dykes of the Koolau volcanic range on the island of Oahu,Hawaii,USA,to determine the influence of hydrothermal alteration on the magnetic fabric as determined by anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) measurements. Rock magnetic as well as microscopic investigations show that only ≈25% of the samples have retained their original magnetomineralogical composition of unaltered Ti-poor titanomagnetite. The remaining samples have undergone hydrothermal alteration which transformed the primary magnetic phase into a granular intergrowth of titanomagnetite, titanomaghemite and hematite. In both sample groups,this magnetic phase occurs in coarse (tens of microns),irregularly shaped particles as well as interstitial clusters of smaller (< 5 μm) grains. Our investigations show that hydrothermal alteration does change the bulk susceptibility and the degree of anisotropy but not the directions of principal axes of the AMS ellipsoid which are predominantly corresponding to normal magnetic fabric. The stability of AMS directions, regardless of the degree of alteration, points towards the model of distribution anisotropy as the controlling factor for the observed magnetic fabric.  相似文献

Chile is a very important country that forms part of the Andean metallogenic belts. The Atacama and Domeyko fault systems in northern Chile control the tectonic–magmatic activities that migrate eastward and the types of mineral resources. In this paper, we processed and interpreted aeromagnetic data from northern Chile using reduction to pole, upward field continuation, the second derivative calculation in the vertical direction, inclination angle calculation, and analytical signal amplitude analysis. We revealed the locations and planar distribution characteristics of the regional deep faults along the NNE and NS directions. Furthermore, we observed that the major reasons for the formation of the tectonic–magmatic rocks belts were the nearly parallel deep faults distributed from west to east and multiple magmatic activities along these faults. We ascertained the locations of volcanic mechanisms and the relationships between them using these regional deep faults. We deduced the spatial distributions of the basic–intermediate, basic, and acidic igneous rocks, intrusive rocks, and sedimentary sequences. We showed the linear positive magnetic anomalies and magnetic anomaly gradient zones by slowly varying the background, negative magnetic anomaly field, which indicated the presence of strong magmatic activities in these regional deep faults; it also revealed the favorable areas of copper and polymetallic mineralization. This study provides some basic information for further research on the geology, structural characteristics, and mineral resource prospecting in northern Chile.  相似文献

Measurements of crustal deformations provide important quantitative data for use in the study of the properties of materials and processes in the Earth's interior, and also for the purposes of delineation of active faults by which oil and gas deposits might be confined.Only the usage of satellite systems makes it possible to conduct deformometric studies over large areas and to accomplish measurements within reasonable time periods. The satellite system discussed here is based on the following concepts: pairs of satellites exchange phase information as the result of which the paired satellites emit coherent signal observed at ground sites by the interferometric method. In this process, the measured value is an increment of the difference of distances from the ground site to the two satellites.  相似文献
