东中国海海浪数值模式的研究   总被引:7,自引:1,他引:7  
为建立适应东中国海的海浪数值模式,主要基于目前广泛使用的WAVEWATCHⅡⅠ海浪数值模式进行东中国海海域的海浪数值模拟。以NCEP和NCEP与QSCAT的混合风场资料为输入,模拟了两个时间段的东中国海海域的海面风浪场。选取的两个有实测资料的输出点分别在渤海和东海。从所得结果来看,使用NCEP与QSCAT混合风场模拟的东海观测点处的波高和风场的观测值和模拟值符合的较好;利用1998年相应时间段的NCEP风场模拟的上述两点结果与实测比较也是可以接受的。研究结果说明,在目前情况下,运用NCEP与QSCAT混合风场建立统一的东中国海海浪数值预报模式是可行的,同时为东中国海波气候学研究及海洋大气耦合作用研究奠定了模式基础。  相似文献

Seasonal variation of the water circulations in the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea is investigated with use of a robust diagnostic numerical model. Water circulations in four season are calculated diagnostically from the observed water temperature and salinity data from JODC (Japan Oceanographic Data Center) and wind data from COADS (Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set). Counter-clockwise circulations are developed at the upper and middle layers and a clockwise one at the lower layer in the central part of he Yellow Sea in summer. On the other hand, a clockwise circualtion is developed from the surface to the bottom in the Yellow Sea and a counter-clockwise one in, the northern part of the East China Sea in winter.  相似文献

A three-dimensional, primitive-equation model is developed to study how the Kuroshio, the monsoon, the Yangtze River outflow and the buoyancy forcing from the South China Sea affect the circulation of the East China Sea. It is found that the Kuroshio water usually intrudes into the East China Sea from both sides of Taiwan Island. Winter winds enhance the Kuroshio intrusion from northeast of Taiwan, but weaken it from the Taiwan Strait. Summer winds act in the opposite way. The increased presence of the Kuroshio water in the East China Sea in winter can be largely attributed to the shoreward surface Ekman drift associated with the northerly wind. In summer, the-shaped plume emanating from the Taiwan Strait is, to a large extent, produced by the buoyancy forcing from the South China Sea.In summer, the bimodal distribution of the Yangtze River outflow is initially produced by the upwelling-favorable wind. Away from the Yangtze River, the far-field dispersal of the fresher water depends on the strength of the Kuroshio. A stronger Kuroshio enhances the seaward dispersal of the northern branch of the Yangtze outflow north of Taiwan, but reduces the southward penetration of the southern branch. In winter, downwelling-favorable winds confine the Yangtze River outflow to a narrow band forming nearshore coastal jet penetrating southward. The northern tip of Taiwan acts as a conduit, channeling the seaward dispersal of the fresher water. The model results interpret the observed circulation patterns.  相似文献

Reduced gravity and two-layer numerical models have been used to study the circulation in the westernmost basin of the Mediterranean Sea, the Alboran Sea. Circulation is forced by flow through a 20 km wide port in the western boundary representing the Strait of Gibraltar.The reduced gravity model domain is a rectangle measuring 600 km × 160 km with 10 km × 5 km grid resolution. When forced by an eastward on northeastward inflow, the model solutions evolve to a steady state which exhibits a meandering current. The first meander of the current forms the northern boundary of an anticyclonic gyre. Horizontal dimensions of the gyre are strongly dependent upon the inflow angle, vorticity associated with the incoming current, magnitude of the incoming transport and the north-south extent of the basin. The meandering current is considered a standing Rossby wave with a highly distorted vorticity trajectory due to the interaction of the current with the northern and southern boundaries. When velocity (transport) is increased, the wavelength increases approximately as √v. As a result the anticyclonic gyre shifts east as velocity increases and west as velocity decreases. These solutions show that bottom topography, winds and coastline features are not necessary mechanisms for the formation of the gyre.Two-layer model solutions were obtained using realistic topography, geometry and a westward moving lower layer. The addition of the lower layer flow and topography distorted the circulation in the upper layer, particulary in the southern half of the basin. This is caused by the large topographically steered currents along the southern shelf.The high variability of the horizontal dimensions and location of the gyre has been observed both experimentally and through satellite imagery. Model results show that the high variability is caused by variations in the inflow velocity.Drifter tracks, both observational and model derived, help determine the circulation in both layers of the Alboran Sea. The close comparison between model and experimental drifters lends credibility to the model circulation and dynamics.  相似文献

Sedimentation processes of suspended matter supplied from the Huanghe (Yellow River) and the Changjiang are investigated with the use of a three-dimensional numerical model of the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea which includes the tidal current, residual flow and wind waves. Suspended matter supplied from the Huanghe mainly deposits in the Bohai Sea and that from the old river mouth of the Huanghe and from the Changjiang in the central part of the Yellow Sea or south of Cheju Island. The calculated results well reproduce the observed sedimentation pattern qualitatively except for the offshore area of the southeastern coast of China.  相似文献

A nested numerical storm surge forecast model for the East China Sea is developed. Aone-way relaxing nest method is used to exchange the information between coarse grid and fine grid. In the inner boundary of the fine grid model a transition area is set up to relax the forecast variables. This ensures that the forecast variables of the coarse model may transit to those of fine grid gradually, which enhances the model stability. By using this model, a number of hindcasts and forecast are performed for six severe storm surges caused by tropical cyclones in the East China Sea. The results show good agreement with the observations.  相似文献

The reliability of a numerical tide model for detiding acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) data is examined on the East China Sea shelf. The process is adopted for the ADCP data obtained on 12–13 May 2003. The ocean model accompanied by the most precise harmonic constants available to public is used to compute external tides. The root mean square difference is less than 10 cm/s between the detided currents and those using the least squares method, and so the detiding process using the numerical model is available to detect the East China Sea shelf circulation faster than this speed.  相似文献

A three-dimensional baroclinic shelf sea model is employed to simulate the tidal and non-tidal residual current in the South China Sea. The four most significant constituents, M2, S2, K1 and O1, are included in the experiments with tidal effect. At most stations, the computed harmonic constants agree well with the observed ones. The circulations of the South China Sea in summer (August) and winter (December) are mainly discussed. It is shown that the barotropic tidal residual current is too weak to affect the South China Sea circulation, whilst the contribution of the baroclinic tidal residual current to the South China Sea circulation would be important in the continental shelf sea areas, especially in the Gulf of Thailand and Gulf of Tonkin. In the deep-sea areas, the upper barotropic or baroclinic tidal residual current is relatively very weak, however, the speed order of the deep baroclinic tidal residual current can be the same as that of the mean current without tidal effect. Moreover, the baroclinic tidal residual current seems to be related to the different seasonal stratification of ocean.  相似文献

In the central part of the East China Sea, the activity of CO2 in the surface water and total carbonate, pH and alkalinity in the water column were determined in winter and autumn of 1993. The activity of CO2 in the continental shelf water was about 50 ppm lower than that of surface air. This decrease corresponds to the absorption of about 40 gC/m2/yr of atmospheric CO2 in the coastal zone or 1 GtC/yr in the global continental shelf, if this rate is applicable to entire coastal seas. The normalized total carbonate contents were higher in the water near the coast and near the bottom. This increase toward the bottom may be due to the organic matter deposited on the bottom. This conclusion is supported by the distribution of pH. The normalized alkalinity distribution also showed higher values in the near-coast water, but in the surface water, indicating the supply of bicarbonate from river water. The residence time of the East China Sea water, including the Yellow Sea water, has been calculated to be about 0.8 yr from the excess alkalinity and the alkalinity input. Using this residence time and the excess carbonate, we can estimate that the amount of dissolved carbonate transported from the coastal zone to the oceanic basin is about 70 gC/m2/yr or 2 GtC/yr/area-of-global-continental-shelf. This also means that the rivers transport carbon to the oceans at a rate of 30 gC/m2/yr of the coastal sea or 0.8 GtC/yr/ area-of-global shelf, the carbon consisting of dissolved inorganic carbonate and terrestrial organic carbon decomposed on the continental shelf.  相似文献

文中,以水温垂直剖面的自模性将其由T-Z分布变为θ-η剖面为基础,在考虑海面加热,忽略热平流效应和来自海底的热通量情况下,将海洋分为4层,并在各层内利用其自模函数的积分趋于常量的特性,对引入自模函数的热传导方程进行推导运算,导出描述含中层冷水垂直热结构7个特征量的闭合方程组.当解得这些特征量之后,代入含有自模函数的温度表达式,即获得预报的整个水温剖面.为了检验模式的功能,我们利用东海西北部海域中27个测站,以5月5日和5月10日实测的特征量作为初值,分别试报了5月10日和5月15日的特征量及水温剖面.试报的结果表明:试报特征值和温度剖面与其实测值之间的平均绝对误差,特征温度小于或等于0.23℃,特征深度小于或等于1.18m,而水温剖面小于或等于0.20℃.由此可见,试报的效果是令人满意的.  相似文献

本文用一个两层原始方程数值模式,对东海的环流现象进行了机制性的探讨。从整体上来看,海区的一些主要流态特征彼此密切相关,且在动力上都是比较稳定的。黑潮在台湾东北的入侵主要表现在下层。底斜联合效应(JEBAR)、惯性效应、摩擦效应都是这支入侵流态的发生机制,而底形与行星β效应则使它表现出向岛强化的特征。下层黑潮入侵后,大部分作反气旋回转,成为台湾暖流(TWC)下层的外海分支。TWC下层沿岸分支能否形成,则取决于黑潮入流上下流速比γ的大小,以及上层海峡入流是否北上。TWC上层流动的形成是海峡水入侵后在β效应作用下的结果,它在温州外海也将分出一支向外海流去。文章指出,台湾东北的冷水块不是“尾涡”所致,而是下层黑潮舌状入侵的具体表征;台湾北部的暖涡则是上层TWC北上时与冷水块相互作用的结果。此外,本文对钓鱼岛以北的锋涡与逆流现象也作了一些初步的分析与讨论。  相似文献

建立了一个覆盖东海的两重嵌套网格高分辨率台风暴潮数值预报模式.粗、细网格模式分辨率分别为6'和2'.两套网格的嵌套采用单向松弛套网格技术,即在细网格的内边界附近建立了一个“过渡区”,对预报的物理量进行松弛,使粗、细网格模式变量逐步过渡,避免了边界附近寄生波的产生,从而增加了模式的稳定性.利用该模式,对显着影响东中国海地区的6次风暴潮过程进行了后报和预报试验.与观测资料比较,数值结果令人满意.  相似文献

在浪-流耦合的概念下,对Princeton Ocean Model(POM)模式进行改进,增加特征波参数下的海浪混合作用,并把潮流和环流同时模拟,得到了渤海、黄海、东海典型的环流和水文特征,特别是夏季黄海的温跃层现象,夏季长江冲淡水扩展路径以及我国东部海域冬季和夏季典型环流等.研究表明,海浪的作用使海洋上层混合得更均匀,潮流的作用使海洋底层混合得更均匀,二者是温跃层形成的重要原因;考虑潮效应模拟流场,由于潮扩散和潮余流的作用,长江冲淡水路径与实际观测更为符合.  相似文献

The phase of the sea surface height annual variation in the East China Sea along China’s continental coast is delayed from that in the open ocean area, most probably because of seasonal strong monsoon winds. To elucidate this mechanism, we conducted an idealized model experiment using a rectangular shallow ocean with a sloped seafloor forced by southward blowing winds. We obtain a locally confined high SSH near the western boundary found in the East China Sea. The delay of the phase of the sea surface height (SSH) along the China coast can be interpreted as follows. The SSH of the East China Sea is high over large areas in September and low in March due to the expansion/contraction of seawater, which is attributable to the sea surface heat flux. However, near the continental boundary SSH becomes high in January and low in July under the influence of a monsoon winds. The phase delay along the continental boundary should appear by superposing these two time series with a phase difference near the boundary.  相似文献

From the analyses of the satellite altimeter Maps of Sea Level Anomaly(MSLA) data, tidal gauge sea level data and historical sea level data, this paper investigates the long-term sea level variability in the East China Sea(ECS).Based on the correlation analysis, we calculate the correlation coefficient between tidal gauge and the closest MSLA grid point, then generate the map of correlation coefficient of the entire ECS. The results show that the satellite altimeter MSLA data is effective to observe coastal sea level variability. An important finding is that from map of correlation coefficient we can identify the Kuroshio. The existence of Kuroshio decreases the correlation between coastal and the Pacific sea level. Kurishio likes a barrier or a wall, which blocks the effect of the Pacific and the global change. Moreover, coastal sea level in the ECS is mainly associated with local systems rather than global change. In order to calculate the long-term sea level variability trend, the empirical mode decomposition(EMD) method is applied to derive the trend on each MSLA grid point in the entire ECS. According to the 2-D distribution of the trend and rising rate, the sea level on the right side of the axis of Kuroshio rise faster than in its left side. This result supports the barrier effect of Kuroshio in the ECS. For the entire ECS, the average sea level rose 45.0 mm between 1993 and 2010, with a rising rate of(2.5±0.4) mm/a which is slower than global average.The relatively slower sea level rising rate further proves that sea level rise in the ECS has less response to global change due to its own local system effect.  相似文献

基于挪威南森环境遥感中心改进的NERSC-HYCOM 模式, 利用单向嵌套技术与欧洲中心提供的2008 年ERA-I 高分辨率强迫场针对东中国海及其邻近海区进行了不同垂向坐标配置的四个敏感性试验。通过分析东中国海区域的温度、盐度, 流速的分布和变化, 探讨了HYCOM 模式中不同垂向坐标设置对东中国海近岸区域的影响以及黑潮流速及路径对不同坐标设置的响应, 期望对HYCOM 模式更深入的研究提供参考。结果表明: (1)在东中国海区上层并不适于采用等密度坐标方案, 也就是说应该采用z坐标或σ坐标用以表征此处混合层的季节性变化特征; (2)针对东海大陆架区给出了10 个位置上的模式与浮标观测资料的温、盐平均误差(ME)、均方根差(RMS)及相关系数(R)指标, 发现对于不同区域, 每种试验的适用性都不同; (3)使用高频资料时, 模拟的流速普遍偏高, 东海黑潮冬夏路径的异同指出了σ-z-iso 与z-iso 试验模拟效果较好, 但模拟的日本岛南岸的弯曲流场位置偏南; 而z-only 试验模拟的日本岛以南的黑潮路径是有所改观的, z坐标的分辨率对表层的黑潮路径影响很大; σ-only 试验模拟的整个黑潮路径的效果最差。  相似文献

Three warm currents, the Kuroshio, its shelf intrusion branch in the northeast of Taiwan and the Taiwan Warm Current (hereafter TWC), dominate the circulation pattern in the East China Sea (hereafter ECS). Their origination, routes and variation in winter and summer are studied. Their relationship with four major high and low temperature centers is analyzed. Differing from the previous opinion, we suggest that the four major centers are generated to a great extent by the interaction of the currents in the ECS. In summer, a cold water belt in the northeast of Taiwan is preserved from winter between the Kuroshio and the TWC. The shelf intrusion branch of the Kuroshio separates the water belt, and two low temperature centers generate in the northeast of Taiwan. In the southern ECS, the TWC transports more heat flux northward to form a warm pool. But it is separated in the lower layer by the cold water driven by the intrusion branch of the Kuroshio. So the TWC and the intrusion branch of the Kuroshio play a dominating role to generate the high temperature center. The interaction among the eastward TWC, the northward Tsushima Warm Current (hereafter TSWC) and the southward Su Bei Coastal Flow (hereafter SBCF) generates the low temperature center in the northern ECS. In winter, the strengthening of the shelf intrusion branch of the Kuroshio obscures the two low temperature centers in the northeast of Taiwan. For the weakening of the TWC, the high temperature center in the southern ECS vanishes, and the low temperature center in the northern ECS shifts to south.  相似文献

东中国海浪流相互作用对水位和波高影响的数值研究   总被引:3,自引:1,他引:2  
通过修改风应力和底摩擦应力的计算方式并引入波致辐射应力,以POM(Princeton Ocean Model)和SWAN(Simulating Waves Nearshore)模式为基础构建了浪流相互作用耦合模式,对1994年14号台风过程下的东中国海波流相互作用对水位和波高的影响进行了模拟研究.结果表明:浪流相互作用引起的水位变化主要出现在近岸浅水区.与岸边站点实测水位的对比显示,耦合后的结果相比非耦合结果更接近观测值,特别是在极值水位处.流的存在显著地影响有效波高的计算结果.在黄海海域,流对有效渡高的增减在极值处大于0.2 m.在台湾岛东北海域黑潮流系附近,流对有效波高的增加最大可达1.6 m.上述结果对改善近岸风暴潮和海浪预报具有指导意义.  相似文献

本文基于2001年4月东中国海区域实测水文资料,应用三维有限元模式FEOM(Finite Element Ocean Model)对东中国海三维环流系统进行了数值计算分析。模式水平网格系统采用单节点线性三角形网格,垂向使用z坐标,观测温、盐度场通过客观分析法插值得到初始条件,分别进行了诊断计算和强诊断计算,计算结果表明:(1)改进逆方法可以很好地反演研究区域流函数和流量分布,为数值模拟提供优质可靠的开边界条件。(2)有限元模式在网格自由度方面和对研究区域的完整覆盖方面优势明显,高分辨率的垂向z坐标也可以较好地拟合海底地形,从而得到较高分辨率的三维数值模拟结果。(3)通过诊断计算,模拟再现了东中国海春季环流的多涡结构,分辨出了台湾暖流、黄海沿岸流、黄海暖流等流系。(4)比较诊断与强诊断两个计算结果,它们在定性上较为一致,在定量上有些差别,总体分布强诊断计算结果更为合理。  相似文献
