Presence of vehicles on a bridge has been observed many times during past earthquakes. Although in practice, the engineers may or may not include the live load contribution to seismic weight in design, current bridge design codes do not specify a certain guideline. A very limited research has been conducted to address this issue from design point of view. The focus of this research is to experimentally assess the effect of a vehicle on the seismic response of a bridge through a large‐scale model. In this scope, a 12‐meter long bridge, having a one lane deck with concrete slab on steel girders, has been shaken under five different ground motions obtained from recent earthquakes that occurred in Turkey, in its transverse direction, both with and without a vehicle on top of the deck. The measured results have indicated that top slab transverse acceleration and bearing displacements can reduce up to 18.7% in presence of a vehicle during seismic tests, which is an indication of reduction in substructure forces. The main reason for the reduction in seismic response of the bridge in the presence of live load can be ascribed to the increase in damping of the system due to mass damper‐like action induced by the vehicle. The dynamic response of a single span cable due to a travelling seismic excitation is studied in this paper. The influence of propagation time between the supports is investigated in detail. The importance of considering both vertical and longitudinal equations of motion in the analysis is highlighted. The results indicate the considerable influence of the time-lagged support motions on the cable dynamic tension. A modal combination rule based on the response spectrum method is developed to arrive at the peak estimates of the cable response. Some significant aspects of cable behaviour, especially under horizontal support motion, are discussed.  相似文献

为了限制动荷载作用下梁端的位移,经常要在梁端安装阻尼器,与伸缩缝在结构上形成并联装置。当桥面突然发生大规模的刹车,或在突加的地震、风荷载等荷载的冲击作用下,阻尼器是否会对伸缩缝起到保护作用就成为一个令人关心的问题。由一般多自由度体系动力方程出发,通过矩阵变换得到结构局部关于阻尼器单自由度方程。基于此单自由度方程,对阻尼器在结构中具有局部减震效果提出了理论上的论证,在此基础上就阻尼器在各种冲击荷载作用下对伸缩缝的保护作用进行了探讨。  相似文献

大跨结构静力与动力性能与结构能否安全服役密切相关。文章对某大跨钢网架结构进行了静载试验,并测试了各级堆载条件下网架竖向振动频率。试验中选择在其中一跨的接近中心处(挠度最大点)进行静载和动载试验。采用吊篮法在网架挠度最大点分别施加10kN和20kN配重,得到了加载处的竖向刚度;振动测试表明,该网架在脉动激励下振动卓越频率不明显,在冲击激励下可以得到较好的自由振动波形,并且卓越频率明显。振动测试数据分析中,考虑了各测点的相位关系,分别得到了无配重、10kN配重和20kN配重下钢网架竖向一阶振动频率,可用于设计阶段采用的分析结果的校核。  相似文献

弦支穹顶屋盖结构的自重较轻,风荷载作用是结构设计的控制因素,应当对其风振动力响应进行研究.本文采用AR法并结合MATLAB软件对某体育馆椭圆形弦支穹顶屋盖结构的风速时程进行模拟分析,然后进行结构风振响应时程的有限元分析,得出了结构的风振系数和一些有意义的结论:其节点位移风振系数为1.74,位移风振系数随着初始预应力水平的增大而增大;风振响应过程中,拉索的预应力有所降低,靠近结构中心位置拉索的预应力损失率比靠近外部的大;初始预应力越大,预应力损失率越小;弦支穹顶结构环索预应力水平的降低会对结构的风振响应有不利的影响;弦支穹顶屋盖结构只考虑等效静力风荷载作用的结构抗风设计偏于不安全,应当考虑脉动风的作用.  相似文献

This paper presents the results of an experimental work in order to evaluate the performance of a novel proposed retrofitting technique on a typical dome‐roof adobe building by shaking table tests. For this purpose, two specimens, scaled 2:3, were subjected to a total of nine shaking table tests. The unretrofitted specimen, constructed by common practice, is designed to evaluate seismic performance and vulnerability of dome‐roof adobe houses. The retrofitted specimen, exactly duplicating the first specimen, is retrofitted based on the results obtained from unretrofitted specimen tests, and the improvement in seismic behavior of the structure is investigated. Zarand earthquake (2005) Chatrood Station is selected as the input ground motion that was applied consecutively at 25, 100, 125, 150 and 175% of the design‐level excitation. At 125% excitation level, the roof of the unretofitted specimen collapsed due to the walls' out‐of‐plane action and imbalanced forces. The retrofitting elements consist of eight horizontal steel rods drilled into the walls, passed through the specimen and bolted on the opposite wall surfaces. To improve walls in‐plane seismic performance, welded steel mesh without using mortar, covered less than half area of walls on the external face of the walls, is used. In addition to strain gauges for recording steel rod responses, several instrumentations including acceleration and displacement transducers are implemented to capture response time histories of different parts of the specimens. The corresponding full‐scaled retrofitted prototype tolerated peak acceleration of 0.62 g almost without any serious damage. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Aging bridges coupled with increasing traffic loads are producing a severe toll on the nation's infrastructure. This has made it necessary to take a closer look at the health of existing bridges and develop automated damage identification methods if possible. Recent works in the field of structural dynamics have shown that damage detection techniques utilizing parameters like mode shapes, modal frequencies and damping ratios can be used to identify damage in structural systems. It is, however, important to be able to establish a baseline model for the structure first, and then a model updating technique can be utilized to evaluate the condition of the structure from time to time. It is with this goal in mind that the authors have decided to establish the process for obtaining a baseline model for a long span bridge. Based on the actual design drawings of a bridge, finite element (FE) models of the bridge in question are developed using SDRC-IDEAS. Three models of the bridge are simulated using Normal Mode Dynamics solver in SDRC-IDEAS to obtain the modal parameters of interest, in this case the modal frequencies and the mode shapes. A modal assurance criteria (MAC) is utilized to compare the different simulated mode shapes and, finally, the modal frequencies that have been obtained from the FE analysis are compared to frequencies that have been obtained from some preliminary field tests.  相似文献

Summary An initial value investigation is made of the transient development of dispersive long waves on a homogeneous rotating shallow ocean generated by an arbitrary steady or oscillatory wind stress disturbances. The significant effect of the rotation on these long waves is examined. The solution of the problem related to physically realistic wind stress distributions is obtained with physical implications. The principal features of the wave motions are explored. In place of complicated Green's function technique, the problem is solved by the generalized Fourier transform and the Laplace transform methods combined with the asymptotic techniques. The method of solution used is simple, elegant and straightforward.  相似文献

The solar wind, magnetosphere, and ionosphere are intrinsically coupled through magnetic field lines. The electrodynamic state of the high-latitude ionosphere is controlled by several geophysical processes, such as the location and rate of magnetic reconnection at the magnetopause and in the magnetotail, and the energisation and precipitation of solar wind and magnetospheric plasmas. Amongst the most observed ionospheric manifestation of solar wind/magnetospheric processes are the convection bursts associated with the so-called flux transfer events (FTEs), magnetic impulse events (MIEs), and travelling convection vortices (TCVs). Furthermore, the large-scale ionospheric convection configuration has also demonstrated a strong correspondence to variations in the interplanetary medium and substorm activity. This report briefly discusses the progress made over the past decade in studies of these transient convection phenomena and outlines some unsettled questions as well as future research directions.  相似文献

In experimental modal testing, the measurement locations and the number of measurements have a major influence on the quality of the results. In general, there are several alternative schemes for sensor placement, and the accuracy of the data increases as the number of sensors utilized increases. However, the number of transducers that can be attached to a real structure is limited by economic constraints. Therefore, algorithms that address the issue of limited instrumentation and its effects on resolution and accuracy are important from the standpoint of experimental modal analysis. The authors are particularly interested in structural dynamics based damage evaluation of large structures, and the development and implementation of suitable sensor location algorithms are critical for such a problem. A kinetic energy optimization technique (EOT) has been derived, and numerical issues are addressed and applied to real experimental data obtained from a model of an asymmetric long span bridge. Using experimental data from the bridge model, the algorithm proposed in this paper is compared to Kammer's EIM algorithm, which optimizes the transducer placement for identification and control purposes.  相似文献

The paper investigates the applicability of current direct displacement based seismic design (DDBD) procedure, developed by Priestley and his coworkers, for straight long span bridges under transverse seismic excitation synchronous to all supports. This category of bridges often possess some additional features such as massive tall piers, highly irregular distribution of mass and stiffness due to unequal superstructure spans and pier heights, large deformation capacity etc. that are absent in short-to-moderate span bridges for which DDBD has extensively been verified. It is shown that DDBD in its current form is unable to capture both displacement and base shear demand when compared with nonlinear dynamic analysis results. Accordingly, a simple mechanics based extension of the current procedure that takes into account the effect of pier mass while computing base shear demand as well as a modal combination rule for estimating displacement demand is proposed and validated using a series of parametric studies. The new procedure also allows engineer to allocate strength at the potential plastic hinge location in more general terms.  相似文献

空冷支架结构体型独特,属典型的上刚下柔型结构,且质量80%集中在上部,抗震及抗风计算非常重要,虽然结构物的固有频率及振型可以通过结构动力学的原理计算得到,由于实际结构受组成材料、周围结构等因素影响,经过简化的计算简图与实际结构总有一定的差异,因而计算值与实际值一般有较大的误差.文中对神木的三跨结构采用脉动法进行现场测试,得到结构实际的动力特性数据,包括结构的自振频率、振型等,并和计算数据进行对比,提出了在抗震设计中应注意的问题.  相似文献

对于复杂结构的地震反应分析,地震波的最不利输入方向对应着结构的最不利反应。通过一座大跨斜拉桥的具体实例分析,研究了地震动输入方向不同时结构反应的变化情况,结果表明:地震动输入最不利方向和结构本身以及所采用地震波均有关,沿轴向输入并不总是最不利输入方向,同时发现,地震波的长周期成分对大跨斜拉桥结构的地震响应有很大影响。  相似文献

对不同控制策略下安装有复合MR(磁流变)阻尼器的模型结构进行了振动台试验研究.在El Centro地震动激励下,基于线性二次高斯(LQG)和广义预测(GP)两种控制算法,针对半主动控制系统、MR阻尼器以恒定电流(-0.5A(Passive-on 1)、0A(Passive-off)、2A(Passive-on 2)的控制系统,以及由半主动控制方式和基础隔震组合而成的混合控制系统,在WINCON/SIMULINK实时控制软件平台下对一个1:4的三层钢框架模型进行了地震模拟振动台试验.试验结果表明:基于复合MR阻尼器的控制系统是有效的,无论是被动控制、半主动控制还是混合控制,都显著降低了模型结构各层的加速度、位移响应;复合MR阻尼器在不通入电流时具有一定的被动控制效果;采用考虑时滞自补偿的广义预测控制效果要好于LQG控制,并且这两种控制策略的都能以较被动控制小的控制力达到较好的控制效果.  相似文献

滑移隔震结构要求在风荷载作用下保持安定。应用多种方法研究了不同摩擦系数、不同基本风压作用下滑移隔震体系的抗风稳定性:(1)考虑一阶振型的等效静力法;(2)采用谐波合成法模拟近似的具有给定功率谱密度函数的脉动风,作用于结构上,进行动力时程分析;(3)根据风压的功率谱密度函数计算脉动风压的概率法。研究结果表明时程分析法与概率法得到的风荷载相近,大于等效静力法得到的风荷载。摩擦系数为0.1可以满足基本风压小于0.90kN/m^2地区滑移隔震结构的抗风稳定性。  相似文献

Shaking table tests were performed to investigate the damage mechanisms of a subway structure in soft soil while experiencing strong ground motions. The seismic responses of the structure and soil were found to be more sensitive to input motions with richer low-frequency components. The excess pore pressure ratio of soil increased slightly, and the distribution of the excess pore pressure surrounding the structure showed clear spatial effects. The frequency spectrum characteristics of input ground motions clearly influenced the lateral displacement of the structure. In addition, the structure was most severely damaged at the top or the bottom of the interior columns. Finite element analyses were conducted by using the modified Martin–Seed–Davidenkov viscoelastic and the rate-independent plastic-damage constitutive models for soil and concrete, respectively. Satisfactory agreement was observed between the simulation and test results, the difference between these results was discussed in detail. The results provide insight into how the characteristics of strong ground motion might influence and present a simplified analysis method to quantitatively evaluate the damage of subway structures in soft soil.  相似文献

本文对某特大跨上承式铁路钢管混凝土拱桥建立“V”型河谷场地有限元动力计算模型,结合时空解耦的时域动力有限元方法,研究“V”型河谷场地效应对其地震响应的影响,并考虑地震入射角、行波速度及地震动峰值等因素对场地效应的影响。结果表明:海拔高且坡度均匀的地形使地震波在反射过程中能量增大,海拔较低且坡度下陡上缓的地形使地震波在反射过程中能量减少,“V”型河谷场地效应使大部分钢管混凝土拱圈截面内力测量值放大作用明显;“V”型河谷场地地形效应与地震波的入射角、行波速度及加速度峰值等因素均有关联,且CFST拱肋面外受弯抗震性能受行波速度的影响较大。因此,钢管混凝土拱桥抗震设计中应注意场地地形效应及行波速度的影响。  相似文献

众多研究表明,对大跨度结构进行抗震分析时,必须采用非一致地震激励模型。本文对带TMD系统的大跨度结构考虑地震行波效应后的随机地震响应问题进行了研究。文中建立了结构的动力方程,并利用虚拟激励法求解。研究结果表明,对于大跨度结构装设TMD子结构以后可显著地降低结构的位移、速度和加速度响应,但在设计TMD减震系统时,必须考虑到地震激励的非一致性,否则可能会使预期的减震效果失效。  相似文献

为完善大跨长联连续梁桥的减震和隔震技术,提出将负刚度装置引入某带有摩擦摆支座隔震的大跨长联连续梁桥中组成新型减震和隔震系统。基于CSIBridge软件建立全桥有限元模型,负刚度装置采用弹性多段线模拟,摩擦摆支座采用双线性恢复力模型,输入7条地震波进行了非线性时程分析,考查了新型减震和隔震系统下桥梁结构的地震反应,探究了负刚度系统对大跨长联隔震连续梁桥地震反应的影响。研究结果表明:在大跨长联隔震连续梁桥上布置负刚度装置后,梁体加速度及支座位移可被有效降低,近场地震动下的墩底内力也有明显减小。负刚度装置可有效提高大跨长联摩擦摆支座连续梁桥的抗震性能,负刚度装置也适用于大跨长联隔震连续梁桥。  相似文献
