1991年7月在HEIFE实验区沙漠站进行了一次水汽输送观测实验。观测发现近地面层内比湿廓线常常出现极小值,该极小值高度为零水汽通量面的高度。这个高度以上水汽向下输送,廓线呈逆湿特征,这个高度以下水汽向上输送,廓线呈蒸发特征。沙漠上空近地面层内水汽不是常通量,在一个固定高度上观测到的水汽通量和“潜热通量”不能代表地面的蒸发量和潜热通量。  相似文献

Summary Chinooks are warm mountain winds which occur in the foothills of southern Alberta. They are often blamed for encouraging droughts in the western prairies because of the link believed to exist between them and excessive surface and subsurface evaporation. Measurements made over four winters show that evaporation rates during a chinook exceed the net radiation flux when there is water standing over the surface. However, the vapour flux fraction reduces to a level below the potential rate once the moisture content drops below saturation level within the upper subsurface layer no thicker than 2 mm. Meanwhile, the soil moisture reservoir below that layer remains virtually undepleted even in the face of persistently strong chinook events.With 6 Figures  相似文献

提出了一种改进的用红外和水汽两个通道的测值指定云迹风高度的算法。利用红外水汽散点图和云迹风本身自动地将有低云的目标区、有半透明卷云的目标区、有密蔽高云的目标区分开。在有低云的目标区和有密蔽高云的目标区用红外一个通道指定云高。在有半透明卷云的目标区用红外和水汽两个通道指定云高。在用两个通道的测值指定云高时,假定卷云高度以上不存在水汽,以红外和水汽两个通道亮温相同这个方程与两个通道辐射测值线性相关的方程联立解出云的高度  相似文献

Atmospheric surface layer (ASL) experiments over the past 10 years demonstrate that the flux-variance similarity functions for water vapour are consistently larger in magnitude than their temperature counterpart. In addition, latent heat flux calculations using the flux-variance method do not compare as favorably to eddy- correlation measurements when compared to their sensible heat counterpart. These two findings, in concert with measured heat to water vapour transport efficiencies in excess of unity, are commonly used as evidence of dissimilarity between heat and water vapour transport in the unstable atmospheric surface layer. In this note, it is demonstrated that even if near equality in flux-profile similarity functions for heat and water vapour is satisfied, the flux-variance similarity functions for water vapour are larger in magnitude than temperature for a planar, homogeneous, unstably-stratified turbulent boundary-layer flow.  相似文献

We present eddy-correlation measurements of heat and water vapour fluxes made during the Antarctic winter. The surface layer was stably stratified throughout the period of observation and sensible heat fluxes were always directed downwards. However, both upward and downward water vapour fluxes were observed. Their magnitude was generally small and the latent heat flux was not a significant fraction of the surface energy budget. The variation of heat and water vapour fluxes with stability is well described by Monin-Obukhov similarity theory but the scalar roughness lengths for heat and water vapour appear to be much larger than the momentum roughness length. Possible explanations of this effect are discussed.  相似文献

Higher-order moments, minima and maxima of turbulent temperature and water vapour mixing ratio probability density functions measured with an eddy-covariance system near the ground were related to each other and to vertical boundary-layer profiles of the same scalars obtained through airborne soundings. The dependence of kurtosis on squared skewness showed a kurtosis intercept below the Gaussian expectation, suggesting a compression of the probability density function by the presence of natural boundaries. This hypothesis was corroborated by comparing actual minima and maxima of turbulent fluctuations to estimates obtained from the first four sample moments by fitting a four-parameter beta distribution. The most sharply defined boundaries were found for the minima of temperature datasets during the day, indicating that negative temperature fluctuations at the sensor are limited by the availability of lower temperatures in the boundary layer. By comparison to vertical profiles, it could be verified that the turbulent minimum of temperature near the ground is close to the minimum of potential temperature in the boundary layer. The turbulent minimum of water vapour mixing ratio was found to be equal to the mixing ratio at a height above the minimum of the temperature profile. This height roughly agrees with the top of the non-local unstable domain according to bulk Richardson number profiles. We conclude that turbulence statistics measured near the surface cannot be solely explained by local effects, but contain information about the whole boundary layer including the entrainment zone.  相似文献

A Roughness Sublayer Wind Profile Above A Non-Uniform Surface   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In atmospheric models for different scales the underlying surface consists of patches of bare soil and plant communities with different morphological parameters. Experimental evidence indicates that there is a significant departure of the wind profile above a vegetative surface from that predicted by the logarithmic relationship, which gives values that are greater than those observed. This situation can seriously disturb the physical picture concerning the transfers of momentum, heat and water vapour from the surface into the atmosphere.The intention of this paper is to generalise the calculation of exchange of momentum between the atmosphere and a non-homogenous vegetative surface, and to derive a general equation for the wind speed profile in a roughness sublayer under neutral conditions. Furthermore, these results are extended to non-neutral cases. The suggested expression for the wind profile is compared with some earlier approaches and the observations obtained above a broad range of plant communities.  相似文献

提要:利用2013年春季在巴丹吉林沙漠北缘拐子湖地区的沙尘暴加强观测资料,对比分析该地区典型流动沙面晴天、扬沙和沙尘暴三种天气背景下各气象要素的变化特征及差异,同时对沙尘暴过程中近地层风沙活动特征进行分析。结果表明,随风速增加沙尘天气强度逐步提升且沙尘天气来临前风速、风向均表现出明显的调整现象,此后爆发过程中风速、风向相对稳定。随沙尘天气强度的增加气温逐渐减小且沙尘天气过程中地面呈利于沙尘起动的暖干状态,同时地面气压不断升高。悬浮的沙尘会导致拐子湖流动沙地各层地温有减小趋势,但减小程度相对较弱,使沙尘天气下各层地温仍保持良好的梯度变化和正弦型日变化趋势。拐子湖流沙地春季起沙风速为6.5m/s,输沙通量垂直分布状况在20cm左右具有明显的分段现象。地表100cm内总输沙量的50%和90%分别集中在地表20cm和56cm高度以内。观测期间整个5月地表0~100cm高度内的输沙通量为420.96kg/m。  相似文献

Summary Water vapour flux profiles in the atmospheric boundary layer have been derived from measurements of water vapour density fluctuations by a ground-based Differential Absorption Lidar (DIAL) and of vertical wind fluctuations by a ground-based Doppler lidar. The data were collected during the field experiment LITFASS-2003 in May/June 2003 in the area of Lindenberg, Germany. The eddy-correlation method was applied, and error estimates of ±50 W/m2 for latent heat flux were found. Since the sampling error dominates the overall measurement accuracy, time intervals between 60 and 120 min were required for a reliable flux calculation, depending on wind speed. Rather large errors may occur with low wind speed because the diurnal cycle restricts the useful interval length. In the lower height range, these measurements are compared with DIAL/radar-RASS fluxes. The agreement is good when comparing covariance and error values. The lidar flux profiles are well complemented by tower measurements at 50 and 90 m above ground and by area-averaged near surface fluxes from a network of micrometeorological stations. Water vapour flux profiles in the convective boundary layer exhibit different structures mainly depending on the magnitude of the entrainment flux. In situations with dry air above the boundary layer a positive entrainment flux is observed which can even exceed the surface flux. Flux profiles which linearly increase from the surface to the top of the boundary layer are observed as well as profiles which decrease in the lower part and increase in the upper part of the boundary layer. In situations with humid air above the boundary layer the entrainment flux is about zero in the upper part of the boundary layer and the profiles in most cases show a linear decrease.  相似文献

针对重庆一家制药厂2006年9月3日22:00发生的一起火灾,利用GPS/MAT资料反演空气水汽含量产品和气象地面观测资料,并结合制药厂生产工艺,重点分析静电火灾事故原因。结果表明:高温低湿极端气象条件(空气中水汽含量达到0.5g/cm3、地表温度在40℃以上)是静电火灾发生的先决条件;生产工艺中防静电措施不合理,使静电产生和大量积聚,并产生火花放电,致使大量挥发的石油醚蒸汽燃烧而引发火灾,为减少类似静电火灾事故的发生,提出了相应防范建议以供参考。  相似文献

本文分析了1988年9月在甘肃省临泽县城西南侧戈壁获得的近地面层微气象观测资料。结果表明:白天晴空一般都是超绝热不稳定状态,并存在一种逆湿现象,造成向下输送的水气通量。这可能是由于戈壁地表极其干燥,没有蒸发,上层大气湿度反而比近地面层高,致使水汽从上往下输送。这时在地表面热量平衡过程中,潜热可以忽略不计,感热占绝对优势。  相似文献

We assessed in absolute and relative terms how solar radiation and water vapour pressure deficit control the latent heat flux density in a Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) forest growing under boreal conditions. The absolute and relative total control can be expressed as sums of the physical and biological forms of control. Physical control is based on the direct effects of solar radiation and water vapour pressure deficit on latent heat flux density, and biological control on the effects of solar radiation and water vapour pressure deficit on latent heat flux density through surface resistance. Measurements based on the eddy covariance method were used in the assessment, which defined the scale adopted in the study. Relative physical control over latent heat flux density was mainly exercised by water vapour pressure deficit, and the role of solar radiation was only marginal. The relative biological control exercised by solar radiation over latent heat flux density was higher in the morning and afternoon, unlike the control exercised by water vapour pressure deficit, which was strongest around noon. The values for the relative total control exercised by solar radiation over latent heat flux density were in general higher than those for relative total control exercised by water vapour pressure deficit. This is inconsistent with expectations based on Omega theory, where a decoupling coefficient () indicates the relative control exercised by surface resistance over latent heat flux density. Solar radiation and water vapour pressure deficit do not necessarily act in opposite directions in the absolute or relative total control that they maintain over latent heat flux density.  相似文献

There is an ongoing important debate about the role of water vapour in climate change. Predictions of future climate change depend strongly on the magnitude of the water vapour feedback and until now models have almost exclusively been relied upon to quantify this feedback. In this work we employ observations of water vapour changes, together with detailed radiative calculations to estimate the water vapour feedback for the case of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption. We then compare our observed estimate with that calculated from a relatively large ensemble of simulations from a complex coupled climate model. We calculate an observed water vapour feedback parameter of –1.6 Wm–2 K–1, with uncertainty placing the feedback parameter between –0.9 to –2.5 Wm–2 K–1. The uncertain is principally from natural climate variations that contaminate the volcanic cooling. The observed estimates are consistent with that found in the climate model, with the ensemble average model feedback parameter being –2.0 Wm–2 K–1, with a 5–95% range of –0.4 to –3.6 Wm–2 K–1 (as in the case of the observations, the spread is due to an inability to separate the forced response from natural variability). However, in both the upper troposphere and Southern Hemisphere the observed model water vapour response differs markedly from the observations. The observed range represents a 40%–400% increase in the magnitude of surface temperature change when compared to a fixed water vapour response and is in good agreement with values found in other studies. Variability, both in the observed value and in the climate models feedback parameter, between different ensemble members, suggests that the long-term water vapour feedback associated with global climate change could still be a factor of 2 or 3 different than the mean observed value found here and the model water vapour feedback could be quite different from this value; although a small water vapour feedback appears unlikely. We also discuss where in the atmosphere water vapour changes have their largest effect on surface climate.  相似文献

本文选取1959年7月23—26日4天正当高空副热带高压控制我国大陆时,对我国东部地区计算了能量方程中各项数值,以及各边界上的能量输送。计算表明,这个地区为能源区城,向外输送热量和水汽。至于在东、西、南、北四个边界上输送的情况有很大的差异,南界以输入为主;东界低层为输出,高层为输入。这种输送是由这个地区低空为大陆热低压,高空为副热带高压的环流特点所决定的。在热量输送中,扰动输送比平均输送为重要。在能量平衡中,支出项主要为平流输送和辐射冷却,而收入项主要是由下垫面向上输送感热和水汽潜热,大气本身的热量和水汽含量的变化在能量平衡中作用较小。湍流感热输送约为蒸发潜热输送的1.84倍。  相似文献

The heat exchange between ocean and atmosphere over cold water is studied by calculating all terms in the energy balance twice each day for the year 1971 for the Sable Island region.

The atmospheric long‐wave radiation is relatively constant because of frequent overcast and low clouds. The surface long‐wave balance is markedly negative in winter but slightly positive for a short time in summer, due to strong advection of warm moist air over the cold water. In winter, the turbulent fluxes are directed upwards and are strong, the upward fluxes beginning after the middle of August and lasting until mid‐March. The maximum daily values of latent heat flux are 400 to 500 ly day?1 (194 to 242 W m?2), about a third or a quarter of the magnitude over the warmer Gulf Stream water. The summer fluxes are fairly constant and directed downward.

The water of the Labrador Current in the Sable Island region warms substantially from March to September and conversely cools intensely in the period November‐January.

A comparison of the energy exchange for a current and for water without motion shows that the surface temperatures would be similar in summer, and the temperature drop would be about equal until November. From that time on, the surface temperature would level off for a water body with no current, but in actual conditions the surface temperature continues to drop to a late winter minimum of about 1°C.

Atmospheric advection of latent heat was calculated by assuming that the daily precipitation was always caused first by condensation of all locally evaporated water with any remainder being supplied by water‐vapour advection. The main cause for atmospheric heating in the Sable Island area was found to be condensation of imported water vapour. The region is, in summer, a marked sink for atmospheric heat and water content. For water it remains a sink even in winter. For sensible heat it becomes a source from November to March. The warming of the atmosphere is caused by release of latent heat of advected water vapour in the period February‐August. During the months September‐January the heat sources are both water‐vapour advection and surface turbulent terms.  相似文献

文章分析了2002年7月16日浙江省北部地区的一次飑线天气过程。分析表明:高空前倾槽是这次飑线发生的大尺度环流背景,飑线发生在副热带高压边缘的不稳定区域。浙江省北部地区低层暖湿平流和地面的持续强烈升温,一方面为其积蓄了大量不稳定能量;另一方面高空冷平流形成并大大促进了这一地区的不稳定层结,这一不稳定层结主要是通过高空、地面的温度差动平流来实现的。水汽分析表明:低层850hPa的水汽输送是通过暖湿西南气流来实现的,强对流发生的浙江省北部地区正好处于低层850hPa干湿区交界中的露点锋区,而高层700hPa和500hPa的水汽输送却主要是通过西北气流来实现的。  相似文献

Aeolian sand transport results from interactions between the surface and the airflow above. Air density strongly constrains airflow characteristics and the resulting flow of sand, and therefore should not be neglected in sand transport models. In the present study, we quantify the influence of air density on the sand flow structure, sand transport rate, adobe abrasion profiles, and abrasion rate using a portable wind-tunnel in the field. For a given wind speed, the flow’s ability to transport sand decreases at low air density, so total sand transport decreases, but the saltation height increases. Thus, the damage to human structures increases compared with what occurs at lower altitudes. The adobe abrasion rate by the cloud of blowing sand decreases exponentially with increasing height above the surface, while the wind erosion and dust emission intensity both increase with increasing air density. Long-term feedback processes between air density and wind erosion suggest that the development of low-altitude areas due to long-term deflation plays a key role in dust emission, and will have a profound significance for surface Aeolian processes and geomorphology.  相似文献
