The China Geological Survey carried out 1:250000 regional geological surveys of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from 1999 to 2005.With a total investment of 300 million yuan,more than 1000 geologists were involved annually to conduct mapping at a grid of one line to every four km along the Kunlun Mts-Altyn Shan-Tanggula Shan,Kokoxili-Qiangtang,Gangdese,Yalun Zangbu River,and finally to the Himalayan ranges.The extensive mapping culminated in a total of 112maps covering an area of 152 square kilometers.Based on this success,the China Geological Survey launched another program,the "Integration and Comprehensive Study of Basic Geological Survey Result(s) in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau".The program lasted from 2006 to 2010 and has yielded copious research results,making big strides in upgrading our understanding of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.The achievements are manifold.  相似文献

It has been a tradition to organize very successful UNESCO Postgraduate Courses on Geochemical Prospecting Methods in the former Czechoslovakia from mid 70‘s. The first certificated course-GEOCHIM PRAHA UNESCO 1975 was launched on September 5, 1975 and lasted till October 25,1975. Since that time this course has been organized biannually by the Czech Geological Survey in Prague together with the Dionyz SEt&#250;r Geological Survey in Bratislava and sponsored by the Division of Earth Sciences (UNESCO/Paris) and the International Association of Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry (IAGS). Serving as a way to understand the material composition, structure, and dynamic process of the Earth’s interior, deep earth exploration is driven by not only mankind’s pursuit of natural mysteries but also mankind’s basic need to obtain resources and guarantee economic and social development. The first phase of deep earth exploration of China (SinoProbe) was carried out from 2008 to 2016 and tremendous results were achieved. In 2016, the China Geological Survey launched a Deep Geological Survey Project (also referred to as the Project) to continuously explore the deep Earth. Focusing on the national energy resources strategy, the Belt and Road Initiative, and major basic issues of the geological survey, the Project was carried out in Songliao Basin (an important energy base in China) and major geological boundaries and tectonic units including Qilian Mountains-Tianshan Mountains and Qinzhou-Hangzhou juncture belt. The purpose of it is to reveal the process, structure, and forming patterns of the deep ore deposits and petroleum reservoirs, clarify the evolutionary pattem and controlling factors of Mesozoic environmental climate, and discover deep fine structures of key orogens, basins, and mountains by comprehensive geophysical exploration and scientific drilling. Great achievements have been obtained after more than three years of efforts, including a cumulative 1552 km of deep seismic reflection profiles and magnetotelluric profiles, an ultra-deep continental scientific drilling well, a scientific drilling pilot hole, and a magnetotelluric array and a portable broadband seismic array, both of which cover South China. Moreover, significant progress has been made in ultra-deep drilling technology, deep oil and gas discovery in Songliao Basin, and basic geological issues of Qilian Orogen and Qinzhou-Hangzhou juncture belt in South China, greatly accelerating the deep earth exploration in China and further consolidating China’s position as a power in deep earth exploration.  相似文献

地质调查立法既是建设社会主义市场经济体制的需要,也是地质调查工作自身发展的必然要求,必须加快推进.地质调查工作提供公共产品,服务经济社会发展的方方面面,其立法应属于社会法领域.在“大国土”、“大资源”和“大地质”的理念下,地质调查工作隶属于自然科学体系的范畴,应该建立一个与资源平行的地质工作法律体系.在立法过程中,必须坚持地质调查工作的公益性定位,遵循地质工作规律、市场经济规律和法律工作规律,建立地质调查规划、地质调查权、成果质量监督检查、资料管理与服务、财政出资等6项基本制度,以保障和推动地质调查工作的发展.  相似文献
