The RS CVn-type eclipsing binary MM Her was observed photoelectrically inB andV colours. The light curves obtained in 1984 and 1985 are presented. It was found that the depths of the primary minima are decreased from 1983 to 1985. However, the amplitude of the wave-like distortion outside the eclipses was detected to increase since 1976. The period of migration was determined to be about 3.57±0.08 years.  相似文献

The light curves of V471 Tau obtained in four successive years from 1981 to 1984 are presented. The light variations due to the tidally distorted red dwarf have been computed and subtracted out from the light curves obtained so far. A pure shape of the wave-like distortion has therefore been derived. The period of the retrograde migration has been found to be 182.17 days. On the other hand, the mean brightness of the system seems to vary with a period of about 18 years. The amplitude of the variation is greater at longer wavelength. The periodic variation of the mean brightness resembles the solar cycle of about 11.2 years, which depends upon the number of spots or spot groups.  相似文献

Two-colour photoelectric observations of the short-period RS CVn-type eclipsing binary UV Psc have been made between 1981–1986 at the Ege University Observatory. The present work deals with the light curve variations of the binary obtained in the observing seasons of 1981, 1982, and 1984. The shape of the light curve, the depths of the minima, and the total brightness of the system seemed to change in the course of time that covers three years of observing time. The value of the migration period of the wave-like distortion was roughly estimated to be between 1.5 and 2.0 years.  相似文献

The double-lined spectroscopic and eclipsing binary ER Vul was observed in blue and yellow light during the 1984 and 1985 observing seasons. In 1984 four and in 1985 three different light curves in each colour were obtained. The system sometimes is too active and sometimes too quite. The wave-like distortion has been obtained for each light curve and a period of migration has been estimated to be about 8–9 months. The light fluctuations, which are the main characteristics of ER Vul, seems to be related with the wave minimum, (e.g., spotted regions) of the component(s).  相似文献

Two-colour photoelectric observations of LX Per carried out at Ege University Observatory in 1981 and 1982 observing seasons are presented. The light curve of the system has a wave-like distortion which migrates towards the decreasing orbital phase. The period of the retrograde migration of the wave-like distortion has been determined as 475 days. The amplitude of the wave appears to change with time periodically.  相似文献

UBVRI photoelectric and CCD photometry of the slow nova V723 Cas obtained in the years 1995–2003 is presented. The evolution of light curves in 1-year intervals, folded with the orbital period 0.69326 days, shows an increase of the amplitude of the wave-like variations from 0.07 to 1.3 mag during the years 1997–2003. The fact that the shape and amplitude of the orbital light curves does not depend on wavelength is most probably related to the geometry of eclipses combined with the distribution of circumstellar matter in the system.  相似文献

Photoelectric observations of the peculiar eclipsing variable ER Vul were obtained in blue and yellow light, in the 1981 and 1982 observing seasons. The light curves suffer to change in short time-intervals. The wave-like distortion superimposed on the light curves is clearly seen, but sometimes there is no indication about its existence. The migration period has been estimated roughtly about eight months. Moreover, small-amplitude light fluctuations in the light curves are noticeable. These variations seem to be occur randomly. When the IUE and optical observations are taken into consideration together it is strongly suggested that both of the components in the system ER Vul are too active.  相似文献

本文给出了对行星状星云NGC2346核星AGK3—0°695从1981年到1987年这段期间内所做的照相观测结果。从中我们看到该天体自1981年底开始出现的大变幅食光变现象持续数年之后,从1986年开始其光变幅度迅速减小,由85年的Δm~4~m减小到86年的Δm~1~m.1。而且到1987年其光变曲线仅存Δm~0~m.4的不规则亮度起伏,已无明显的周期性光变现象,文中对此现象做了初步分析讨论。  相似文献

In this paper we present the observations of the eclipsing binary LX Per, which were obtained in 1983. There is a wave-like distortion at outside eclipses with an amplitude ranging from 0.03 to 0.08 mag. The wave-like distortion was removed with a new approach. Then, the light curves were analyzed by the methods of Wood and Nelson, Davis, and Etzel. The absolute parameters of the components were also calculated. The physical parameters of the components indicate that the cooler star has seperated or has been departing from the Main Sequence.  相似文献

The RS CVn-type eclipsing binary AR Lac has been observed in two colours,B andV, in 1978 and 1979. Several times of minima have been obtained during the observations and the new light elements have been calculated. The orbital period of the system was found to be decreasing with an amount of 14.6 s century–1.The light curves of the system obtained inB andV show a significant wave-like distortion outside eclipses. The amplitudes of the wave-like distortion inB andV are about 0 . m 09 and 0 . m 10 in 1978, and, 0 . m 12 and 0 . m 13 in 1979, respectively. The minima of the wave-like distortion have shifted with an amount of 0 . p 40 in one year, thus indicating the migration period of the wave-like distortion is about 2.5 yr.A noticeable variation of light during the totality of primary minimum has also been observed. This variation can be attributed to the distortion wave which has been moving towards decreasing phases.  相似文献

Due to the extensive photoelectric observations made at the Ege University Observatory in 1988, we have found no evidence for any eclipse in the light curve of this newly classified RS CVn system V775 Her. The shapes and behaviour of the light curves obtained at different time intervals clearly suggest the existence of a migrating wave, which is typical of that seen in most RS CVn binaries. The amplitude of the wave-like distortion seems to be slightly less than 0.1 mag. Infrared photometry inJ. H, K, L, M bands carried out in different years from 1983 to 1986, andU, B, V, R, I quasi-simultaneous to 1984 are presented.Although the amplitude of the minima decrease as the wavelength increase, the infrared light curves show a similar behaviour to that observed in visible.Since no variations in the average magnitudes are notted from 1983 to 1986, we could assumed that the activity of II Peg is not increasing. Also from the light curves a concentration process of the spots seems to have taken place from 1984 to 1986.In the analysis of the infrared colours an excess attributable to circumstellar dust emission is found.  相似文献

The photoelectric light curves of MM Her obtained in 1983 and 1984 by Evren (1985, 1987) were analyzed by two different methods. Firsly, the effects of the wave-like distortions on the observations were removed from the observed magnitudes by obtaining its mathematical expression. The remaining light curves were analyzed by using Wood's approach. Later, the light curves of the same years were treated by the method of Wilson-Devinney and distortions seen in the light curves were thought to be explained by locating the spots on the surface of the cooler component. The results obtained by two different approaches are in good agreement.  相似文献

Two-colour light curves of Z Her were obtained observing the system from 1978 to 1981. The wave-like distortion at outside eclipses were derived. The amplitudes of the wave increase and its minimum migrates towards the decreasing orbital phase with a period of about 1.4 yr. An attempt was made to represent the wave-like distortions with a truncated Fourier series. The representation was found to be unsatisfactory since the distribution of the present observations is not regular but forms separate groups along the time axis. Therefore, further observations to cover the phases evenly in between the minima are needed.  相似文献

We reduced our photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary RT CrB made in April-July, 1978 and found that the light curve showed the characteristics of a wave-like distortion. After comparing with other observations in recent years, we found the wave to have the characteristics of an advancing travelling wave with a migration period of 18.5yr. We discuss its possible explanations. We used the classical method to find a preliminary set of photometric elements. After combining with spectrographic results, we found the binary to consist of two separate subgiants, but the primary departs from the usual mass-radius relation for the primaries of RS CVn type binaries.  相似文献

We present the long‐term multi‐colour photometry of MM Her which is one of the first members of the RS CVn‐type of eclipsing binary systems. We took advantage of its photometry‐spanning 33 years to evaluate its long‐term variation, which is caused by the evolution of the activity structures located on the surface of the cooler component. In this study we found that the long‐term variation in the brightness, colour, and amplitude of seasonal light curves over the years could be represented by two periods: one of which is of around 22.5 years, and is similar to all in this regard, but the other is a period value of about 9.5 years for the brightness variation, and of about 7.5 years for the variation in colour and amplitude. The analysis of the spot minimum phases gives a migration period of approximately 7.8 years. We also presented a new light curve analysis solution, and improved its light elements in this study. Spot photometry in theUBV was obtained for the flare star BY Dra during 1985-1991 at the Bulgarian National Astronomical Observatory. Light curves are presented for 1986, 1987, 1988, and 1991. There are significant variations of the amplitudes of the light curves implying changes of the spot distribution. The phases of the light minima are variable, indicating possible latitudinal migration of the spot and differential rotation. Rough estimate of the corresponding latitudinal shear is in the range 3 × 10–11 –5 × 10–10 rad s–1 deg–1. The photometric behaviour of BY Dra since 1960 shows no compeling evidence for existence of stellar cycles. This is in contradiction with previous studies. During 1985-1991 a total of 38.47 hours of monitoring in theU-filter were obtained. Analysis of the flare activity of BY Dra shows no significant changes from previous studies.  相似文献

DifferentialBV photometry of UX Ari obtained on 58 nights during 1984-85, 1985-86, 1986-87, and 1987-88 observing season is presented. We find that (B-V) is phase dependent with the system being reddest at the light maximum and we interpret this as due to the variable fractional contribution by the G5 V component to the total light at shorter wavelengths. An analysis of the available data indicates that at larger amplitudes of the photometric wave the brightness at maximum increases and that at minimum decreases and both converge to δV ≃ −1.0 mag at very low amplitudes. It implies that the low wave amplitudes are essentially due to more homogeneity in the surface distribution of spots rather than due to low levels of spot activity. The variation in wave amplitude is found to be near-sinusoidal with a period around 13–14 years  相似文献

The new time-resolved CCD photometry of XX Cyg was presented. We investigate the time-dependent behaviour of the light variations by reanalyzing the data in the literature. XX Cyg was demonstrated beyond any doubt again to be a monoperiodic pulsator. Its light curves can be well reproduced by the sinusoids with the fundamental frequency f 0 = 7.41481 ± 0.00001 cycle d-1(P 0 = 0d . 1348652 ± 0.0000001) and its first nine harmonics. Fourier, wavelet and O–C analyses based on all the available data reveals the amplitude and period variations during the years 1974 to 2000.The general trend of the amplitude changes is decreasing at a rate of one percent milli-magnitudes per year. The parabolic analysis on the updated 101 times of maximum light suggests a slowly continuous increasing at a rate of 1.3 × 10-3 days per million years in the period.
