A discrete entropy-based approach is used to assess the groundwater monitoring network that exists in Kodaganar River basin of Southern India. Since any monitoring system is essentially an information collection system, its technical design and evaluation require a quantifiable measure of information and this measure can be derived using entropy. The use of information-based measures of groundwater table shows that the existing monitoring network contains a sufficient number of wells but is not well designed for the measurement of groundwater level. Entropy-based results show that 15 wells are vital to measure regional groundwater level, not 28 wells which are being monitored effectively in this basin.  相似文献

Al-Mansourieh zone is a part of Al-Khalis City within the province of Diyala and located in the Diyala River Basin in eastern Iraq with a total area about 830 km2.Groundwater is the main water source for agriculture in this zone.Random well drilling without geological and hydraulic information has led the most of these wells to dry up quickly.Therefore,it is necessary to estimate the levels of groundwater in wells through observed data.In this study,Alyuda NeroIntelligance 2.1 software was applied to predict the groundwater levels in 244 wells using sets of measured data.These data included the coordinates of wells(x,y),elevations,well depth,discharge and groundwater levels.Three ANN structures(5-3-3-1,5-10-10-1 and 5-11-11-1)were used to predict the groundwater levels and to acquire the best matching between the measured and ANN predicted values.The coefficient of correlation,coefficient determination(R2)and sum-square error(SSE)were used to evaluate the performance of the ANN models.According to the ANN results,the model with the three structures has a good predictability and proves more effective for determining groundwater level in wells.The best predictor was achieved in the structure 5-3-3-1,with R2 about 0.92,0.89,0.84 and 0.91 in training,validation,testing and all processes respectively.The minimum average error in the best predictor is achieved in validation and testing processes at about 0.130 and 0.171 respectively.On the other hand,the results indicated that the model has the potential to determine the appropriate places for drilling the wells to obtain the highest level of groundwater.  相似文献

The western sector of the Tagliamento River basin (Friuli Venezia-Giulia Region; northern Italy) is characterized by important water resources, both superficial and underground. In particular, in the Quaternary deposits of the plain, up to a depth of 500 m, six artesian aquifer systems exist. A large amount of lithological, geomorphological, and hydrogeological data is presented, allowing for definition of (a) the principal aquifer system of the area to a depth of about 500 m; (b) geometrical characteristics of the aquifers (thickness, lateral extension, etc); (c) the hydraulic parameters (hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity); (d) chemico-physical characteristics of the water; and (e) vulnerability to pollution of the aquifer systems. In a test area, where many boreholes were drilled for fresh water supply, the conceptual hydrogeological model was integrated by a detailed and repeated three-dimensional (3D) resistivity survey using combined electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) soundings. ERT investigation was mainly used to get detailed information about geometry and porosity of the overburden and to calibrate the shallowest TDEM information.  相似文献

在鄂尔多斯盆地北部沙漠高原区,部分湖盆的边部发育有数量不等的"湖眼"."湖眼"是分布在湖盆边部的特殊的泉,通过对湖眼的野外调查和物质成分分析,总结了湖眼的分布、结构、动态变化和物质组成特征.研究结果表明,湖眼泥浆来自湖盆底泥,其水分可来自不同循环深度的地下水;湖眼的动态变化可以反映地下水的循环深度;湖眼的分布和动态变化对于研究地下水的排泄方式具有一定的水文地质意义.  相似文献

Space-borne geodetic sensors and model-based datasets have been used to monitor groundwater changes in the Yangtze River basin (YRB). Groundwater storage variations were computed using the following datasets:? Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE)-derived terrestrial water storage (TWS),? Noah driven Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS-Noah) model to simulate the total water content (TWC) i.e. soil moisture, ice and snow, and canopy water storage, and? Satellite altimetry-observed surface water reservoir storages.Overall, the results show that groundwater in the YRB rose by at least 3.34 km3/yr between January 2003 and December 2009. However, the estimated groundwater linear trend for the period of 2003–2009 was ?0.95 km3/yr according to the Changjiang and Southwest Rivers Water Resource Bulletin (CJSRWB). An analysis of the methodology of the CJSRWB shows that the groundwater estimate was based on the water balance approach, which has been found to be weak in inter-basin sub-surface flow. The GRACE-estimated groundwater rise is larger and suggests that the YRB is affected by seepage from Tibetan lakes through a sub-surface fault. Additionally, there is evidence showing that water loss from the Yangtze River by underground leakage through faults could also be a cause of the difference. Therefore, it is concluded that further investigation is required to determine the causation.  相似文献

Based on satellite observations of Earth’s time variable gravity field from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE), it is possible to derive variations in terrestrial water storage, which includes groundwater, soil moisture, and snow. Given auxiliary information on the latter two, one can estimate groundwater storage variations. GRACE may be the only hope for groundwater depletion assessments in data-poor regions of the world. In this study, soil moisture and snow were simulated by the Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) and used to isolate groundwater storage anomalies from GRACE water storage data for the Mississippi River basin and its four major sub-basins. Results were evaluated using water level records from 58 wells set in the unconfined aquifers of the basin. Uncertainty in the technique was also assessed. The GRACE-GLDAS estimates compared favorably with the well based time series for the Mississippi River basin and the two sub-basins that are larger than 900,000 km2. The technique performed poorly for the two sub-basins that have areas of approximately 500,000 km2. Continuing enhancement of the GRACE processing methods is likely to improve the skill of the technique in the future, while also increasing the temporal resolution.  相似文献

Yushugou River basin of East Tianshan Mountains receives water from melting glaciers. In recent years, the glaciers retreated strongly due to global warming which intensified the water cycle in the river basin. For this reason, the relation of water bodies based on hydrochemistry and isotope in the summer flood was carried out. Hydrochemistry research showed that there was frequent hydraulic interaction between river water and groundwater. Studying the isotopes and \(\hbox {Cl}^{-}\) of river water, glacier meltwater, groundwater and precipitation, indicated that Yushugou River was recharged by the glacier meltwater, groundwater and precipitation during the summer flood period. The analysis result based on the three-component mixing model showed that Yushugou River was recharged by 54.9% of glacier meltwater, 37.6% of the run-off came from groundwater, while less than 8% was contributed by precipitation. The study suggests that the role of glacier meltwater and groundwater, especially glacier meltwater, should be specially concerned in water resource protection and reasonable utilization, and the injection of glacier meltwater is the main reason for run-off variation in this alpine basin during the summer flood period.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to identify the groundwater potential zones in Noyyal river basin using GIS and electrical resistivity. River Noyyal was perennial with good flow till early seventies. In recent years, the scene has changed drastically and the river has become practically seasonal and receives copious water during northeast monsoon from September to November. The rest of the years it remains more or less dry. Since the surface water resources in the area are inadequate to meet the local needs it is necessary to explore groundwater resources which has not been done properly. Hence various thematic maps have been used for the preparation of groundwater prospective map by integrating geology, geomorphology, slope, drainage and lineament of the study area. Electrical resistivity survey was conducted at 52 locations by using Schlumberger configuration. From this weathered thickness and depth to basement have been taken and overlaid for identifying groundwater potential sites and finally this result was compared with yield data. The interpretation shows that the entire study area has moderate to good category of groundwater potential.  相似文献

黑河流域地下水同位素年龄及可更新能力研究   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:2  
通过对黑河流域地下水的放射性同位素如氚(T)和14C的测定, 对该流域浅层和深层地下水的年龄以及其更新速率进行了估算. 结果表明: 整体上看, 从黑河流域的上游、中游至下游, 浅层和深层地下水年龄逐渐增加, 地下水更新速率也逐渐增大. 其中, 黑河上游浅层和深层地下水平均更新速率分别为1.96%·a-1和1.76%·a-1, 可更新能力最强; 中游浅层和深层地下水平均更新速率为1.25%·a-1和0.68%·a-1, 可更新能力次之; 下游浅层和深层地下水平均更新速率分别为0.74%·a-1和0.18%·a-1, 可更新能力最差. 黑河流域不同地带地下水由于循环条件的不同, 浅层和深层地下水年龄存在较大的差异. 其中, 中游山前平原补给条件较好, 浅层和深层地下水年龄较小; 中、下游远离河道地区浅层和深层地下水补给条件差, 显示了更老的年龄. 黑河流域埋深40 m以上的浅层地下水平均更新速率(1.13%·a-1)高于埋深40~100 m之间的中层地下水(0.65%·a-1)以及埋深100 m以下深层地下水(0.55%·a-1). 因此, 在黑河流域地下水开发过程中要合理开发浅层地下水, 适当缩减开发深层地下水.  相似文献

通过野外采样和室内分析,采用稳定氢氧同位素和水化学相结合的方法,研究了第二松花江地表水和地下水的相互关系。地表水和地下水中稳定氢氧同位素(δD,δ18O)空间差异明显,上游水体中同位素最贫化,下游最富集。水化学类型从长白山源区的Na-HCO3型,演化成Ca-Mg-HCO3型;而在人类活动的影响下,向Ca(Mg)-Cl(SO4)演化。运用端元法定量计算了地表水与地下水的相互转换比例,上游山区深层地下水接受江水和浅层地下水的补给,浅层地下水补给比例占50%左右;下游平原区浅层地下水补给江水,补给比例占20%左右。研究结果可为综合利用地表水和地下水、促进水资源的可持续利用提供理论基础。  相似文献

The low recharge of reservoirs and the increasing demand for water limit the potential of mobilized resources, especially in arid to semi-arid areas like Morocco. Integrated management is essential to safeguard this resource. In respect with this perspective, this work provides the analysis of hydrogeological potential of Khemisset-Tiflet region, which falls within the action area of the Sebou Hydraulic Basin Agency. The basis of our studies was as follows:(1) The interpretation of the existing geoelectric data;(2) application of geophysical methods for non-destructive reconnaissance and their integration into a Geographic Information System(GIS). The analysis demonstrates that: The map of the isohypses and the geoelectric cross-section of the substratum of the superficial roof aquifer show clearly a plunge associated with development of the Paleozoic roof in the South and the direction of flow of the surface water is from south to north, from the upper zone to the north of the El Kansera dam. These conclusions constitute very useful contribution for any resource management projects in this area.  相似文献

In this paper, the hydrogeological parameters of a confined aquifer, such as transmissivity (T), storativity (S) and radius of influence (R), have been assessed using real groundwater level measurements recorded by a monitoring network, consisting of automated municipal water supply boreholes at Nea Moudania aquifer, Chalkidiki, Greece. Particularly, the paper focused on the correlation between the drawdown and the constant flow rate during pumping time. So the Cooper-Jacob and the recovery test method were applied in order to delineate if turbulent head losses occur, as well as the impact of incorrect measurements of the radial distance (r) in the accuracy of estimating S values. The results show that a) the occurrence of a linear correlation between s and Q indicates a negligible turbulent head loss in the pumping wells and thus a reasonable flow rate usage, b) the validity of storativity values could be compromised if the r value is not accurately measured, and c) recovery test method can be used as an indicator of residual drawdown (s’) caused by previous pumping cycles, when the straight line intersecting the logarithmic t/t’ axis has a value greater than 1.  相似文献

为研究黄河下游惠民地区地下咸水分布特征,在该区域开展了直流电阻率法测量工作。通过电阻率测井确定区内咸水层视电阻率数值分布范围和咸—淡水界面变化特征,以此约束电阻率测深数据的分析,提高对咸水层分布解释的准确率。结果表明:研究区地下咸水层顶界面埋深主要位于20~50 m区间,局部发育至浅地表;咸水层底界面推断埋深主要分布在160~300 m区间,近似NW走向逐渐变浅。经后期水样调查和钻探验证,推测的地下咸水分布特征与实际情况基本一致,表明直流电阻率法在地下咸水分布特征研究中具有较好的应用效果。  相似文献

The Green Corridor in the lower reaches of Tarim River in northwestern China has an extreme hot and dry climate. Vegetation here, consisting of arbor, shrub and grass, relies on groundwater exceedingly. However, the increasing anthropogenic activities of large-scale agricultural reclamation and unreasonable water utilization in the upper and middle reaches caused the 321-km riverway in the lower reaches to dry up completely in 1972 and resulted in the sharp decline of groundwater, followed by the ruin of desert riparian vegetation on a large scale. The Green Corridor is on the verge of shrinking. Water has a key role in maintaining ecological balance and socioeconomic development. This paper, focused on the relationship between vegetation and groundwater, discusses (1) the change of groundwater table caused by the ecological water delivery carried out in the lower reaches of Tarim River; (2) the appropriate groundwater depth meeting the vegetation’s survival; (3) the minimum ecological flux and ecological water requirement for the growth of natural vegetation. It was shown that (1) based on the analysis of the monitoring data from the groundwater level of ten times water delivery, such an extensive artificial watering takes positive effect on raising the groundwater level along the two sides of the river; (2) a groundwater table depth of 2–4 m is probably the appropriate ecological water table level for the lower reaches of the Tarim River, and 6 m is the threshold for the local vegetation; (3) at the lower Tarim River, 1.157 × 10m3 of water flow is needed for itself. The longer the duration of water releases, the greater would be the groundwater rise and the larger the range of vegetation influenced. It was found that the duration and volume of water delivery was closely related to restoration of vegetation in the lower reaches of the Tarim River. The goal of this paper is to offer scientific evidences for water delivery in the rigorous areas to maintain an ecological balance.  相似文献

The stable isotopes of oxygen and hydrogen were used to determine the seasonal contributions of precipitation to groundwater recharge at a forested catchment area in the upper North Han River basin, Korea. A comparison of the stable isotopic signatures of groundwater and precipitation indicates that the precipitations which occurred during both the dry and rainy seasons are the important source of groundwater recharge in this region. A stable isotopic signature shown in the stream waters at the upstream reaches is similar to that of groundwaters, indicating that stream waters are mostly fed by groundwater discharge. Reservoir waters in the downstream flood control dams have lower deuterium excess values or d-values compared with those of the upstream waters, indicating a secondary evaporative enrichment. These results can provide a basis for the effective management of groundwater and stream water resources in the North Han River basin.  相似文献

以甘肃省白龙江流域主要城镇环境工程地质勘查及历次地质调查数据为基础, 分析了地貌、人类活动等因素对白龙江流域甘肃段地质灾害的控制作用, 选定了坡度、岩性、地震、河流、降水等评价因子, 采用层次分析法和信息量法组合赋权的方式确定评价因子的综合权重, 最后利用GIS的叠加、以及重分类功能进行了地质灾害危险性分区评价. 结果表明: 白龙江流域地质灾害主要分布于人口相对密集的城镇(河谷)一带, 地质灾害分布相对密集, 危险性较大. 而以农牧业为主的中、高山区地质灾害分布相对稀疏, 危险性较低.  相似文献

Stratigraphic heterogeneity is a key controlling factor for flow and transport in groundwater systems. In this case study, we have combined two- and three-dimensional images of electric resistivity with hydrogeological data to delineate such stratigraphic heterogeneity at a loop of River Steinlach close to Tübingen, Germany, where we estimated spatially varying aquifer parameters using established evaluation techniques. We developed a three-layer stratigraphic model consisting of heterogeneous sandy gravel overlain by a fine alluvium including top soil, and underlain by sandstone weathered at its top. The sandy gravel makes up the aquifer unit while we interpret the sandstone as aquitard. We classified the area into two stratigraphic segments based on resistivity data. The Southern segment consists of a thicker alluvium where the aquifer material contains more clay than in the Northern segment. Two different stratigraphic structures were also delineated at the Southern and Northern segments, respectively. These structures are visible in inversion results as low-resistivity features trending in the SE–NW in the Southern segment and NE–NW in the Northern segment. Both structures may be previous flow paths of River Steinlach, and the low permeability material overlying them may impair flow exchange in the area. We performed slug and pumping tests to estimate the hydraulic conductivity (K) of the aquifer. The K distributions show slight variation with higher values obtained at wells within the Northern segment and close to the river bank. A qualitative comparison of measured hydraulic conductivities with the resistivity distribution shows good agreement of the spatial patterns. The stratigraphic and hydraulic heterogeneities delineated in this work are important for experimental and modeling studies of flow, transport, and hyporheic exchange at the site.  相似文献

通过环境同位素、水文分割法和相关分析研究表明,祁连山区降水、冰川雪融水和基岩裂隙水通过出山口地表径流补给构成黑河流域走廊平原地下水主要补给源,具有年际和年内丰枯动态变化规律,与祁连山区降水量和气温的关联度分别为0.97和0.79,与平原张掖站降水量和气温的关联度分别为0.43和0.60。在自然径流条件下,祁连山区降水量变化是改变走廊平原地下水补给的主导因素,约占91%权重;气温变化是重要影响因素,约占9%权重。20世纪80年代以来祁连山区各补给源处于偏丰期。因此,近年来走廊平原地下水补给量相对50年代减少27.1%,人类活动是重要影响因素,急需加强科学调控。  相似文献

The temporal and spatial distributions of precipitation are extremely uneven; so, careful management of water resources in Taiwan is crucial. The long-term overexploitation of groundwater resources poses a challenge to water resource management in Taiwan. However, assessing groundwater resources in mountainous basins is challenging due to limited information. In this study, a geographic information system (GIS) and stable base-flow (SBF) techniques were used to assess the characteristics of groundwater recharge considering the Wu River watershed in central Taiwan as a study area. First, a GIS approach was used to integrate five contributing factors: lithology, land cover/land use, lineaments, drainage, and slope. The weights of factors contributing to the groundwater recharge were obtained from aerial photos, geological maps, a land use database, and field verification. Second, the SBF was used to estimate the groundwater recharge in a mountainous basin scale. The concept of the SBF technique was to separate the base-flow from the total streamflow discharge in order to obtain a measure of groundwater recharge. The SBF technique has the advantage of integrating groundwater recharge across an entire basin without complex hydro-geologic modelling and detailed knowledge of the soil characteristics. In this study, our approach for estimating recharge provides not only an estimate of how much water becomes groundwater, but also explains the characteristics of a potential groundwater recharge zone.  相似文献

陇东盆地水资源短缺,严重制约着经济发展,近年来探明白垩系洛河组地层赋存巨厚深层地下淡水。含水层水文地质参数的求解是深层地下水资源评价的关键,用抽水试验确定深层承压含水层水文地质参数是水文地质勘查研究的一项重要的内容。根据单孔、多孔、干扰抽水试验资料,采用稳定流、非稳定流多种方法求解陇东盆地深层含水层水文地质参数,避免了单一方法的偶然性、随意性,计算结果可信。最后探讨了抽水试验场地水文地质条件与所选取公式理论条件的差异对计算结果的影响。  相似文献
