在单轴加压下进行了有预制裂纹的岩石板在裂纹扩展过程中声发射时b值的实验。发现b值的变化与岩石裂纹的扩展过程有密切关系,并且不同岩石介质的相互作用可影响b值的变化。通常裂纹扩展时,b值下降,但扩展受阻时,b值又有所回升,因此,有预制裂纹的岩石板在破裂过程中,b值呈起伏变化。  相似文献

基于一组实验结果,讨论了岩石标本的非均匀性(预存微裂纹和宏观裂纹)对声发射 时空分布的影响. 对比分析表明,预存微裂纹的存在使得破裂成核前声发射率快速增加、 b值表现出一种短期异常现象,即在下降背景上出现起伏,从而增加了破裂时间的可预报 性. 宏观结构(节理、层面等)的存在对声发射率和b值的影响与微裂纹相同,而且宏 观结构对声发射的空间分布具有控制作用,声发射丛集的宏观构造通常控制着未来的主破裂 . 这意味着宏观构造的存在使得主破裂的时间和位置预报成为可能.   相似文献

运用岩石破裂过程分析RFPA^2D系统,通过对岩石试样中预置的一组右行右阶雁列式裂纹扩展过程的数值模拟,研究了非均匀岩石介中多裂纹扩展的相互作用模式及其贯通机制。数植模拟再现的受压混合型裂纹扩展过程中逐步演变的全场变形过程,以及与细观非均匀性有关的声发射和断续扩展模式的“岩桥”现象,清晰地揭示出多裂纹扩展的相互作用及其贯通机制。模拟结果说明,对于岩石这种地质介质而言,忽略其非均匀性影响,可能会掩盖岩石变形与破裂过程中的许多与非均匀性有关的特殊现象,包括声发射或微震模式、岩桥或雁行断裂等。  相似文献

依据对具有较高微裂纹密度的筑波花岗岩和极低微裂纹密度的花岗斑岩 2种极端的岩石标本、在等应力速率的快速加载 (约 6MPa/min)和蠕变加载 (轴向应力保持在约 95 %破坏强度 ) 2个极端的加载条件下的实验结果 ,讨论了预存微裂纹密度与加载速度对多晶质结晶岩变形破坏过程的影响。实验中利用高速多通道声发射波形数字记录系统 (每秒可记录多达 5 0 0 0个声发射事件的 32通道波形 ) ,获得了岩石标本破坏前微破裂活动的详细时空分布数据。声发射的发生率、震级 -频度关系中的b值及震源的空间分布揭示出岩石变形破坏过程中微破裂活动具有 3个典型阶段 :初期阶段、第 2阶段和成核阶段。尤其是在成核阶段 ,还观测到发生率和b值有大幅度前兆性起伏。一般而言 ,在相同加载条件下预存微破裂密度越高 ,或对同一岩石加载速度越慢 ,对应的断层成核过程就越长 ,因此最终破坏的可预报性也越高。为了进一步探讨微破裂活动的阶段性特征及其物理本质 ,还利用亚临界破裂扩展模型对声发射数据进行了理论分析  相似文献

对几种不同结构的岩石标本在变形过程中声发射b值和频谱随时间的变化特征进行了对比研究 ,其中包括完整花岗岩标本、含有天然愈合节理的花岗岩标本、含有拉张型和挤压型雁列式断层以及平直断层的标本等。研究表明 ,声发射b值和频谱的特征不仅会受标本结构的影响 ,而且在同一标本的不同变形阶段也可能表现出不同的特征 ,其机制与变形方式以破裂为主或以摩擦为主有关。当变形以破裂为主时 ,声发射b值和频谱在失稳前会出现明显的下降 ;当变形以摩擦为主时 ,声发射b值和频谱在失稳前变化相对较小 ,且上升或下降均可能出现。实验结果意味着b值和频谱特征作为失稳前兆 ,在不同的构造环境下可能会有不同的特征 ,而强震孕震区内不同断裂构造的存在会造成前兆时空分布的非均匀性  相似文献

本文研究了物理性不同的三种岩石在不同应变速率影响下声发射 b 值随应力增加而变化的特征。结果表明:应变速率在(10~(-4)~10~(-8))范围内三种岩石的声发射 b 值都随应力增加而减小。它们的高 b 值区随应变速率下降向应力增加方向偏移。同时,三种岩石的 b 值随应力的变化对不同应变速率的反应程度是不一样的,说明无论是应力状态或是岩石的物理性质都能影响岩石 b 值的变化,但,也都不是决定岩石声发射 b 值的唯一因素。  相似文献

The problem of physical essence of theb value forAE of rock tests and natural earthquakes has been a controversial topic during the past two decades. In the present paper the order and energy of each microfracturing of the microcrack system existing in a rock specimen is discussed from the viewpoint of fracture mechanics, then the whole series ofAE and subsequently the value ofb are determined. The order of microfracturing depends on the parametersKei/Kci whereKei is the effective stress intensity factor of thei-th microcrack andKci is the fracture toughness in the site of thei-th crack. The energy of eachAE can be expressed asηi ∫ loili Gids whereG is the energy release rate of microcarck,loi andli are the original and final crack lengths respectively andηi is the emanating efficiency for thei-th crack. If we assume that the distribution density function of microcrack lengthl isp(l)=Bl?v whereB andγ are constants, then the expressionb=3γ/2 can be deduced. Hence, we have come to the conclusion that the value ofb mirrors essentially the “crack-system-configuration” of the material, which means the distribution of the sizes, shapes and orientations of microcracks over space as well as the distribution of the other relevant physical parameters such as fracture toughness, friction coefficient, etc. Our conclusion is somewhat similar in character to Mogi’s. He concluded thet the heterogeneity of the material plays the most important role in determining the value ofb. The term heterogeneity of course covers the idea of “crack-system-configuration, but we think that our view has a little bit deeper insight to the problem than that of Mogi.  相似文献

岩石受载内部微裂纹扩展及其震源机制反演有助于认识宏观裂纹扩展过程的非线性断裂力学行为.借助声发射监测手段,本文建立了仅涉及微裂纹张开/闭合和剪切滑移的位移不连续震源模型,通过各位置处传感器耦合质量标定及点源远场P波矩张量反演获得了含预制裂纹砂岩受载过程的震源机制解及时变响应特征,在全局坐标系下分析了微裂纹的三种断裂力学行为.结果表明:在位移不连续模型中,震源矩张量特征值与试样泊松比之间必须满足特定约束条件,该约束条件下的优化问题可采用拉格朗日乘子和Levenberg-Marquardt迭代法求解;受载砂岩裂纹扩展过程中,声发射震源以剪切滑移机制占优,微裂纹空间取向及运动方向与试样宏观主裂纹夹角平均值分别为40.9°和17.7°;对微裂纹体积分解表明岩体微观破裂机制以沿X方向I型张开为主,而沿Y方向的II型断裂滑移方向与试样全局变形方向相一致,由于试样内部晶粒分布非均质性造成了少量沿Z方向的III型平面外微裂纹滑移行为;受载砂岩裂纹扩展过程中微裂纹模式角与震源极性值变化趋势一致、利用震源震级评估的局部应力降值与实验观测结果相吻合,这两者均表明了位移不连续模型在震源机制定量反演中的适用性.  相似文献

着重研究拉张或挤压型雁列式断层标本变形过程中声发射(简称AE,下同)的时空演化特征. 结果表明,预置构造对AE空间分布格局具有较强的控制作用,随着差应力的增加,AE首先在两个端点附近丛集,之后向两端点连线附近集中,出现明显的破裂局部化现象,较大事件还通常集中于某一端点附近反复发生. 前期微破裂丛集图象指示后期宏观破裂的扩展方向及扩展范围. 拉张和挤压型雁列区宏观破裂方向分别与轴向应力方向垂直和平行. 雁列式断层标本变形过程中,破裂前的弱化阶段相对较长、弱化过程明显. 微破裂事件累积频次指数增长可能是系统失稳前的典型征兆之一,而雁列区宏观破裂之后,AE数量逐渐减少、应变释放相对减弱. 摩擦滑动过程中,大的粘滑失稳前未见有AE活动前兆性的增强过程.雁列区的b值变化在失稳前显示趋势性降低——快速回升这一典型的变化过程,b值降低一般发生在差应力增强过程之中,并有可能延续至弱化阶段,而快速回升则一般发生在破裂失稳前的短时期内. 对比研究表明,构造差异所导致的b值差异远大于b值随差应力的增加而产生的变化量,而对同一构造标本,力学状态的改变会导致AE序列时序特征的急剧变化,较高的加载速率对应较高的应变能释放及明显的低b值. 先期破碎带由于较低的破坏强度,其对差应力的微小变化具有特殊敏感性,从而成为源、兆分离、窗口或敏感点效应等地震活动性前兆现象的一种可能的原因.   相似文献

This paper discusses the applicability of the tension-softening model in the determination of the fracture toughness of rocks, where the fracture toughness evaluated based on the tension-softening model is compared with the crack growth resistance deduced from laboratory-scale hydraulic fracturing tests. It is generally accepted that the fracture process is dominated by the growth of a fracture process zone for most types of rocks. In this study, the J-integral based technique is employed to determine the fracture toughness of Iidate granite on the basis of the tension-softening model, where compact tension specimens of different dimensions were tested in order to examine the specimen size effect on the measured fracture toughness. It was shown that the tension-softening relation deduced from the J-integral based technique allowed us to determine the specimen size independent fracture toughness Kc of Iidate granite. Laboratory-scale hydraulic fracturing tests were performed on cubic specimens (up to a 10 m sized specimen), where cyclic pressurization was conducted using a rubber-made straddle packer to observe the extent of the hydraulically induced crack. The experimental results of pressure and crack length were then used to construct the crack growth resistance curve based on the stress intensity factor K. The crack growth resistance obtained from the hydraulic fracturing tests was observed to initially increase and then level off, giving a constant K value for a long crack extension stage. The plateau K value in the crack growth resistance curve was found to be in reasonable agreement with the fracture toughness Kc deduced from the tension-softening relation. It was demonstrated that the tension-softening model provides a useful tool to determine the appropriate fracture toughness of rocks, which may be applicable for the analysis of the process of large-scale crack extension in rock masses.  相似文献

Fracture toughness measurements under static loading conditions have been carried out in Barre and Lac du Bonnet granites. An advanced AE technique has been adopted to monitor real-time crack initiation and propagation around the principal crack in these tests to understand the processes of brittle failure under tension and related characteristics of the resulting fracture process zone. The anisotropy of Mode I fracture toughness has been investigated along specific directions. Microcrack density and orientation analysis from thin section studies have shown these characteristics to be the primary cause of the observed variation in fracture toughness, which is seen to vary between 1.14 MPa.(m)1/2 and 1.89 MPa.(m)1/2 in Barre granite. The latter value represents the case in which the crack is propagated at right angles to the main set of microcracks. The creation of a significant fracture process zone surrounding the propagating main crack has been confirmed. Real-time imaging of the fracture process and formation of fracture process zone by AE techniques yielded results in very good agreement with those obtained by direct optical analysis.  相似文献

—?Unique data from microseismic (MS) and acoustic emission (AE) systems monitoring a common rock volume have been analyzed from the Underground Research Laboratory in Canada. The two 16 sensor systems were installed to investigate stress-induced microcracking around clay and concrete bulkheads as part of the Tunnel Sealing Experiment. Single and double MS events are found to be spatially associated with clusters of between 19–86 higher frequency AE events. Each AE cluster is elongated with the longest axis between 15 and 50?cm. The AE events occurring before the associated MS event are termed foreshocks, and for two of the three analyzed AE clusters an acceleration in the AE frequency and cumulative magnitude occurs upto the time of the MS event, however with one AE cluster very few foreshocks are recorded, possibly indicating a more homogeneous failure plane. Time independent moment tensors were determined with the MS events showing significant deviatoric sources. The majority of the AE events have deviatoric mechanisms with a few crack opening and crack closure type events also determined. This study highlights the benefits of using small-scale seismic systems to investigate the temporal fracture mechanics of microcrack formation, and allows comparisons with larger more damaging seismicity.  相似文献
