目前已存在多种物理模型用于解释地震前兆电磁异常,不同机制下产生电磁波场的源可等效为不同类型偶极源(磁型/电型)的组合.针对不同偶极源激发的电磁响应特征的研究对地震孕育过程中观测的电磁信号的提取与解释具有重要意义.基于此,本文推导了一套正演算法,可用于研究任意方向(方位角和倾角)、大小和位置的一个或多个偶极源在地壳或岩石圈-大气圈-电离层(Lithosphere-Atmosphere-Ionosphere,LAI)模型中产生的电磁波场的传播特征.基于多源组合,该算法可进一步拓展到线电流源和面电流源的电磁响应的计算.本文给出了水平、垂直和倾斜电偶极源响应计算的实例,并针对不同类型的偶极源激发下的地中、地面以及空间电磁场响应特征进行了初步分析.模拟结果显示,相比于单纯水平或垂直的电偶极源,地中倾斜电偶极源激发的电磁响应在地表的各场量辐射花样虽然仍可反映偶极子的方位角和空间位置,但不再具有对称性,其模式更复杂.本文提出的正演算法可用于地中低频电磁辐射源的正演模拟和反演定位.

Summary A simple cylindrical model is employed to estimate the effect of non-flatness of the ground on the sub-surface electromagnetic field from a current-carrying cable on the surface. It is shown that, if the surface curvature is sufficiently small, the fields in the cylinder model are very similar to those for the conducting half-space model of the earth employed earlier. The results can be used to provide estimates of expected errors in electromagnetic direction-finding of a buried receiving terminal.The research reported here was supported in part by the Mine Safety Center, U.S. Bureau of Mines.  相似文献

为认识地震波诱导的电磁场的特性,本文研究地震波在孔隙介质中由于动电效应引起的电磁场.基于Pride弹性-电磁耦合方程组推导了双力偶震源对应的位移-应力-电磁场间断向量的表达式,模拟了双力偶源激发的震电波场.作为比较,还模拟了爆炸点源激发的震电波场.结果表明:存在伴随纵波的电场,其各分量的波形与固相位移对应分量的波形相似,但相位相反;存在伴随横波的磁场,其波形与固相位移波形相似;双力偶震源还激发出了独立传播的辐射电磁场,其速度比纵波至少高一个数量级,几乎是“瞬间同时”到达了每个接收器,但是其强度比伴随电磁场小得多,且随着源距增大而迅速减小.本文研究还表明:伴随纵波的电场强度不仅与地震纵波幅度和动电耦合系数有关,还与由介质孔隙结构决定的流-固两相动力协调性有关,存在一种动力协调介质,纵波在这种介质中不引起电场.  相似文献

Since most oil wells are cased in steel, electromagnetic (EM) signals undergo severe attenuation as they diffuse across the casing. This paper examines an effect of non‐uniform casing properties on EM fields measured in a steel‐cased well embedded in a layered formation. We use a finite‐element method for computing secondary azimuthal electric fields in a cylindrically symmetric model, and analytically obtain primary fields for a homogeneous casing in a homogeneous whole space. Although steel casing largely masks EM signals induced into a layered formation, the induced signal is more pronounced in phase than in amplitude. The effect of casing non‐uniformity is quite large in measured fields but is highly localized. When electrical conductivity varies rapidly in the casing wall, the resulting EM fields also vary rapidly. A cross‐correlation function of these variations has strong peaks at two points, the interval between them being equal to the source–receiver distance. The high‐frequency coherent noise event caused by the non‐uniform casing can be greatly suppressed by low‐pass filtering to enhance EM signals indicating formation conductivity.  相似文献

Solutions are derived for the potential distributions over one-layer and two-layer random conductivity earth models for the direct current resistivity method. Monopole and Wenner arrays are considered. It is shown that the random potential due to a spatially stationary Gaussian random conductivity is also Gaussian but not spatially stationary. The ensemble and sample statistics of the random kernel and apparent resistivity are examined. Representative curves of these functions are presented to show the effects of a random conductivity profile on them. It is shown that the effect of the random nature of the conductivity profile on an apparent resistivity sounding curve is greatest for small electrode spacings.  相似文献

文中利用间接边界元法,在频域内求解了层状弹性半空间中洞室对入射平面P波的放大作用问题。通过自由场反应分析,求得假想洞室边界上各单元的应力响应。在洞室边界各个单元上施加虚拟分布荷载,求得位移和应力的格林函数。根据应力边界条件确定虚拟分布荷载,将自由场位移响应和虚拟分布荷载产生的位移响应叠加起来,即得到问题的解答。比较了层状半空间和均匀半空间中洞室对入射平面P波的放大作用,结果表明,层状半空间情况有可能导致较大的地表位移幅值,尤其是对于较低频率入射波。  相似文献

利用间接边界元法,求解了弹性层状半空间中洞室对入射平面SH波的放大作用问题,并以基岩上单一土层中洞室对入射平面SH波的放大作用为例进行了数值计算分析。本文模型的特点之一是考虑了层状场地的动力特性,因而更接近于实际工程;特点之二是计算精度非常高。研究表明,层状半空间中洞室对波的放大作用与均匀半空间中情况有着本质的差别;层状半空间中洞室附近地表动力响应由土层动力特性和洞室对波的散射二者共同决定。土层动力特性不仅影响洞室附近地表位移的幅值,还会影响地表位移的频谱。在土层的前几阶共振频率附近,随着基岩与土层剪切波速比的增大,土层的影响随之增大,而随着土层厚度的增加,土层的影响随之减小,并逐渐趋于均匀半空间情况。  相似文献

The response of a horizontal conducting cylinder embedded in a uniform conducting earth is studied using mathematical models of uniform and line current source excitation for the period range 10 to 104 s. The line current source is located at heights ranging from 100–750 km above the surface of the earth. From the calculated results, it is shown that for periods greater than 103 s the ratioE x /H y at the surface of the earth for localized fields, such as the auroral and equatorial electrojet normally situated at heights of about 100 km, is considerably different from that for a uniform source. The results presented also show that the magneto-telluric method of geophysical prospecting for ore bodies in regions of the electrojet may not be very practicable for periods exceeding 103 s.  相似文献

Summary In this paper the displacement components due to a compressional point source in a layered half-space consisting of a liquid layer of finite thickness overlying a semi-infinite solid homogeneous medium have been deduced. Two different cases have been considered. In the first case the source is taken in the liquid layer and in the second case the source is taken in the solid layer. The displacement components in cylindrical coordinates have been obtained in closed form in detail at the interface for all values of distance from the source for the second case.  相似文献

We present a derivation of the formula for filtering a transmitted SH wavelet by shortperiod multiples in a spherically layered Earth. We use a continuous, rather than a discrete formulation and regard the impedance and the velocity as random variables. The mean shear displacement represents the propagating wavelet as modified by short-period multiples. Standard procedures and approximations Lead to the dispersion relation of the mean displacement. To describe the stratigraphic filtering we introduce a complex quantityF such that a wavelet which has travelled a time T is modified by the filter exp {iFT}. The impact of the higher angular harmonic modes is shown to produce a relative enhancement of those modes over the low angular harmonic modes due to fluctuations in the shear-wave propagation velocity. Numerical estimates indicate that the sizes of the apparent attenuation of the mean field and the time delay introduced by the short-period multiples sit squarely in the regime where they produce a nonnegligible distortion of the SH modes of propagation in both phase and amplitude.  相似文献

A useful analysis of the mise-à-la-masse problem can be made by considering a perfectly conducting orebody in a piecewise uniform conducting earth. While the use of a perfect conductor is clearly an idealization of the true geological conditions it provides several advantages for the present purpose.
The electric field associated with the above model can be expressed in terms of a surface integral of the normal potential gradient over the boundary of the conductor, where the normal gradient satisfies a well-posed Fredholm integral equation of the first kind. This integral equation formulation remains unchanged when the conductor is arbitrarily located in the conducting earth, including the important case when it crosses surfaces of conductivity discontinuity. Moreover, it is readily specialized to the important case of a thin, perfectly conductive lamina.
Consideration of the boundary value problem relevant to a conductive body fed by a stationary current source suggests that under certain circumstances, equivalent mise-à-la-masse responses will result from any perfect conductor confined by the equipotential surfaces of the original problem. This type of equivalence can only be reduced by extending the potential measurements into or on to the conductor itself.
This ambiguity in the interpretation of mise-à-la-masse surveys suggests a simple if approximate integral solution to the mise-à-la-masse problem. The solution is suitable for modelling the responses of perfect conductors and could possibly be used as the basis of a direct inversion scheme for mise-à-la-masse data.  相似文献

Variable frequency soundings in the audio-range replaces shallow conventional direct current methods for determination of layer parameters when surface layer resistivity is high. Central frequency soundings (CFS) is one such method that involves measurement of the existing vertical magnetic field component induced at the centre of a horizontal circular or square loop. Dipole method of frequency sounding using small horizontal coplanar loops (abbreviated DFS) measuring the same field component is also considered. Theoretical studies on CFS and DFS over two- and three-layer horizontally stratified earth are carried out and the response characteristics computed and analysed.Theoretical response curves for CFS and DFS over two- and three-layer earth models are presented in convenient forms. Response curves under similar geological-physical conditions are compared. The study indicates that the relative superiority of a method is controlled largely by the nature of the conductivity contrast and the ratio of the first layer thickness to loop radius or dipole separation. While CFS shows a better resolution of conductivity contrast, DFS works better at high frequencies. For resistive substratum, however, both lack proper resolution.  相似文献

Summary The solution of the heat diffusion equation with a periodic, plane source is applied to problems of the diurnal and annual range of surface temperature, and its lag on insolation. The application of diffusion theory to practical problems is much simplified by the introduction of the concept of a heat capacity for a surface source. Heat capacity may be calculated from the thermal characteristics of the diffusing substance, and the nature of the periodic source. Heat capacities so determined give diurnal surface temperature ranges fo the order revealed in nature. It is possible to account for the way in which the annual temperature range changes with latitude. The annual temperature range computed on diffusion theory alone is about 250% in excess of observed values, but the discrepancy may be accounted for by the interlatitudinal exchange of heat. The indications are that in average circumstances the air absorbs 50%–100% more heat from a plane source than the soil.  相似文献
